A landing you can walk away from just wasn’t fast enough.
still lagging .
Something weird happened… I pushed my graphics parameters to higher levels, and the game still lags/has low FPS, but it’s not as important as before… That quite illogical and weird…

Brief description of what you’re seeing: Game froze for a couple of seconds then an error that the login servers cannot be contacted, followed by a black screen after clicking OK. This happened a couple of times during a dungeon run yesterday (Crucible of Eternity). I had to close the client via task manager. 3-4 other people in my party had the same issue, all from the Netherlands. One time I got back to the character selections screen and did not have to restart the client.
Hi, thanks for opening this post up, this lags really suck
Location: Germany/NRW/Telekom
Date and Time: Yesterday around 5-6pm(gmt+2) and the last weeks mostly at evening
Today at 23:00 DC in ArahArah(yesterday), Cursed Shore, WvW(Kodash&Enemy Borderlands), Fractals
For Arah for example: I am fighting Lupi, get kicked away from his kick, and a few seconds later he’s the kicking animation, or the worm(or how it is named in english) is on me and a few secons later he has that animation for the worm attack.
Today again Arah @ Lupi, ~18:55 just could do nothing and dc’d after 10secs or so
Best on it is, i was alone in the dungeon and it closed.. but nvm and fml^^Today again Arah, ~22:30-23:10, not so heavy lags like the last days, but they were not so good for my health.^^
Until the last days lags mostly dissappeard, but now it seems to start again, but now with big lag spikes(also disconnects) but also little lags every few seconds..
how is the fix going ? any news ? .
randmly getting 700-800 ping for a few seconds then dissapear again. pretty annoying

The most surprising thing for me is the apparent randomness of the lag. Last matchup the only playable WvW map was EB, this week it seems to be my home world’s borderland.
Same in PvP. On one map I lag in an atrocious way, on the next it works like a charm.
It’s all rather irritating.
(edited by Elmo Benchwarmer.3025)
Yup, even worse for me now. Everything in game totally freezing, been doing this all day. It’s pretty unplayable. Game freezes for up to 10 seconds at a time, not to mention constant disconnects.
Nothing to do with my connection, any other game works perfectly with about 20-30ms ping.
(edited by Silver.2651)
anyone knows if moving to NA servers fix the issues? at this point im really desperate. this is unplayable, my connections is fine on other games.

No it won’t. They screwed things up yet again since tuesday and everything is even worse than it ever was before.
Lagging is getting worse again… hadn’t got much problems for a couple of days but since 3-4 days, the whole game is very often lagging… most of the time its just like everything has a small delay… but sometimes, the epic lag and DCs are back again… like:

I already contacted my ISP for issues in their internal network, but the real problem is the AWFUL service provided by Telia international carrier. If you have any control over who is providing connectivity to your datacenter, please DROP TELIA and get some decent connectivity.
This has been going on for months and I’m really angry now.

Australia, Sydney here.
3am Server Time, Teq encounter, Sparkfly Fen —>for the first attached file.
Rubberband everywhere. It’s not graphical problem. I experience this on eotm, border lands, dungeons, normal world and spvp. So it’s not Teq isolated.
It has been happening for a week now. Something is seriously wrong @ aanet ends.
As a big spender in this game (you can check my account spending) aka good customer, i have to say this is an extremely game breaker for me. Fix it please.
Rubberbanding too for the 2nd attachment, really bad. I can’t even farm anymore, very hard to pick up target.

Brief description of what you’re seeing: Significant lag, nil reduction in FPS. Multiple skills flashing (not actioning). Undertook IP search in-game – to upwards of 15-20 seconds.
Please advise if you need any other information. I can still cap camps, but am not competitive against a human anymore.
Location Sydney, Australia.
Rubberbanding at Lion Arch.
Here is what i’ve noticed.
In gw2 diagnostic the pathping command is set to “pathping -w 500 -q 25 -4”
Now look at the pic i attached below of the difference between the above and pathping with default. The pathping with diag setting get lots of packet loss while the default setting gets no problem.
Is the problem actually the communication coding between the server and client? and it sort of amplifies the higher your ping is.
Btw i have no packet loss whatsoever when playing TF2, or BF4 locally …. i know the routing is different but still this proves the problem lies with GW2 itself.

My provider is checking my line for everything that concerns his internal IPs (up to 89.96.200.194), but again looks like Telia is to blame for most of the damage on international routes.

From my point of view, the lags+disconnects I had since the September update and I posted in this thread a few times are gone. The last few days, perhaps even a week, I had no visible lags (skills rotating) and disconnects any more.
I did not change anything on my computer or my internet connection (really, my router is up and connected without interruption since July).

Please advise if it would be helpful to check other areas in game.
I’ve included the specific server, as well as a pathping to guildwars2.com

From what I can see – it all falls over once it hits level3.net
A quick google search points to major issues with this ‘seamless service’. I’ve sent more pathping screenshots to my ISP, so hoping they might be able to re-route me?

Was trying to kill things in the Mad Kings Labarynth, there were less than 15 players around me at the time, so not a massive group and yet I was constantly getting 5-10second lag spikes. I wasn’t the only one to experience this, and as always the chat works perfectly fine, it’s the skills that don’t work at all.

Pathping issues are apparently not interesting my ISP. As an at-times contrary so and so, I’ll commence path-pinging my way across Oz (have already found packet-losses).
Please advise if there are any workarounds so I might get some relief for the latency in GW2.
Thanks guys.

What I’m seeing is a lot of lag. Has gotten worse the past days. Even Clocktower is unbearable, since the lightning strikes the clock before it does on my screen. So I keep jumping into nothing. Overall on the maps the skill activation takes forever. Not much fun at all.
Location: UK, GMT

One-second lag spikes every three to four seconds in game causing momentary freezing and rubberbanding. This has been going on for the last couple of days (possibly longer, but I’ve only been playing intensively the last two days) and is happening in Divinity’s Reach, Queensdale, Lion’s Arch, Clock Tower (rendering playing it pointless), EotM and probably anywhere else that isn’t a solo instance.
I’ll try an /ip and tracert later when I’m playing again.

I did not experience lag from other instance until the game placed me in the map with this specific IP address. It caused me to lag behind by over a minute while attacking Viscount Candy Corn boss. After the event is done the game refused to let me loot the chest, given that the chest is selectable and interactable. A minute later the skeleton mobs “speed hack” from the other side and ungodly melted my health.
I lost the chance to loot this chest tonight. Please take a look at that server’s IP address.
Also, the pathping tool doesn’t seem to work in my campus.

Can’t do ping, but randomly lagging out entirely with error that has been posted in this thread. First 4 days was caused by map changing, now during general gameplay, even out of peak hours.
Your location: Germany, Darmstadt (ISP: Telekom)
Time and date of incident: anytime (varying severity, though), most sever between 5pm and 02am CEST. Also now (~11am CEST)
Game World: Kodash (mostly playing WvW, but also noticable in PvE and sPvP)
Brief description of what you’re seeing:
- Frequent rubberbanding / warping of other players and NPC
- spell and effect delay: between ~0.2 and sometimes up to 5 seconds, sometimes skills won’t activate
- getting hit / interrupted during evade frames: e.g. in the middle of burning speed (50% of the fire fields already on the ground, no shocking aura involved) or just at the beginning or end of a dodge roll
- sometimes getting affected by effects even if a skill was successfully dodged (e.g. blind from Shadow Shot even if the projectile was evaded as can be seen on the screen and in the combat log). This is very rare though
- async animations + effects: damage or effects are applied prematurely compared to the animation state (I’ll make a video if I remember to hit the record button sometime)
- often “out of range” and “obstructed” notification even when the foe is in plain sight and in range
Currently also affecting all chat functionality.

Connection to this specific map/IP is constantly dropping for no reason during Inquest Golem Mark II (as in, the data streaming from the map just flatlined). At the time of the drop I can browse/refresh webpages just fine.
Trying to play Edge of the Mists, and getting constant lag spikes. I can use party chat without any delay at all, but skills don’t work.
I’ve been standing in the same spot for over a minute now with my skill bar flashing waiting for abilities to cast, watching people around me standing doing nothing with the ocasional slight movement every 30seconds. I closed the game client and relogged to resolve this.

[EDIT] After relogging, that didn’t resolve the lag, so I decided to reboot my router and try again. That also didn’t resolve the lag.
So I’m forced to leave a perfectly good map where we are winning to try find a map on a different IP that doesn’t lag.
This issue has been going on for over a MONTH now!!! This started in the Spet30 patch and you’ve done what? Where are the replies to say “hey guys, please be patient, we’re doing this that and this to resolve it” instead of a thread 7 pages long with 100’s of people posting the EXACT same issue without any sollution in sight?
This IS NOT our ISP’s, this is a networking or server side issue. You have more than enough data here from people to action it.
