I have some problems with GuildWars2, I found the problem, I only needed to download the comctl32.dll file, but when I was gonna replace the file it says that I don’t have premission.

can’t connect after the new build came thru from sky pirates

keeps saying connection error and endlessly retrying

got the same prob.

still can’t connect
cmon how can i fix this

#I turn off my norton and it was reason why gw was not working, i turn him on and now everything work great

I can"t log in on my computer but I can log in on another computer.

Sometimes I can enter character select but click play I got error code 10:5:2148:101

Most of the DC happens in PvP, Lucnatic inquisition, and when I select my character.
Sometimes randomly during the map loading.

i basically can’t do any dungeon, i tried doing LFG on multiple characters and it keeps throwing me out and gives me this message. please help!

I know this post may be a bit late and there might already be a way to solve this problem but i keep getting the same error when i try to log in Guild wars 2. “The game client is unable to gain acces to the log in server at this time etc etc firewall”. BUT even when i reinstalled the game 3 times, and changed my password 4 times i still get the same error. Could this be caused by my absence for the last couple of months?

I hope i could get some feedback.

Sometimes i change maps, and it will have a never ending loading icon, then when i close the game and go to the launcher, it will have this error.
the login error sometimes appears after character selection aswell.
please fix soon

I can’t login into my account. it keeps telling me it’s my firewall but I tried different things:
- remove windows firewall
- remove antivirus
- create shortcut with /clientport 80 in properties
None of these worked. Hope I can get some feedback. Thank you in advance

Exactly same happened to me right now.
Yesterday I played without any problem. No PC – connection etc settings changed. Today I opened the game, same error here, I cant log in.

This is a pretty old and long thread though, don’t know if we should post a new one…

I found a potential solution in another thread. I changed my DNS from automatic to use OpenDNS servers (just google the IPs) and since then I’ve had zero problems with the login. Worth a try if you’re having this problem.

Ok. A few days now I am being unable to log in game, I receive no code or anything just a downloading 0KB and connection error. I took some time to post because I tryed everithing I could. Playing in a NA server.

Yesterday the game worked just fine, I didn’t change anything or downloaded anything in between yesterday and today but today I cannot login to my account using the client.
I tried most things myself (checking antivirus, restarting pc, reinstalling, …)
I have tried some common solutions like create shortcut with /clientport 80 in properties, changing to open DNS, …
Allthough it worked for some people, there were still people on those threads who had trouble with logging in, including myself.
