I’ve had massive lag during this week. I’ve tested during several hours, peak and non-peak times, and the lag was always intense (tried at 4am, 8am, 1pm, 10pm). Judging by the time it takes abilities to start, it begins with 3k ms up to over 10k until a disconnect, error code=7:11:3:189:101.
I’ve tried system restore to a point where the game’s latency was okay and it did not help.
Location is Israel, ISP is bezeqint, internet speed is 100\2 down\up. Everything else (downloads, other games) works fine.

Please assist.

Edit: Forgot to mention, server is Desolation, tested on couple of locations (Lion’s arch, Queensdale, Divinity’s reach).

also having the same problem the last 3 days , massive laggs everywhere , and after about 1 or 2 min DC with error 7 , game totally unplayble

done everything that support site says :

If you continue to experience this error after waiting and restarting the client, please try temporarily disabling any security software such as Norton, AVAST, AVG, or McAfee. If this does not work, you might also try adjusting the ‘security’ setting within the firewall settings. Lowering this setting to ‘medium’ or ‘low’ will often clear up connection issues.

Nothing has changed in my home setting but ever since the last patch , ive been hit with lag, rubber banding and every minute or so this cursed error error code 7:11:3:189:101 . As it is , the game is unplayable for me. Im gonna quit and wait for it to be fixed, so pls help us out !!!

Since thursday night 27,9,2012 Lag made the game unplayable.
we are posting dozens of posts, pingplotter screen shots, pings.
everything shows 100% packet loss when it comes to GW2 servers.

what funny is that Chat is not lagging, The Trade Post isnt lagging, Fps are not dropping, but its impossible to play due to activation of skills sometimes lags for 5-10 seconds. if it last more than that it can even get to 50 seconds and then a disconnection.

we talked with the ISP. and its service provider. we tested pings to many other games servers in North America, all pings returned with reasonable and well playbale results.
we checked firewalls, routing settings. we run different computers.

but No. GW2 servers refuse to accept our pings!

The problem still persists. Huge delay between activating a skill and it’s launching, long loading screens, huge delay on communing with NPCs (pressing F to talk with them), pet is spiking behind (any follower really), crazy high latency. As I mentioned earlier, my connection works fine, 100\2 up\down, no unusual latency on any other game but GW2.

Still waiting for a fix since 27/10. Please assist us.

For the past week I was playing PERFECTLY and then today all of a sudden, after their commerce maintenance (or during it) I started lagging. First some rubber banding and then full on lag! I even crashed a few times. And NO, nothing wrong with my system, I was able to download some files for work (over 1 GB) in under 45 minutes. I have 8 GB of RAM and 512 MB of GDDR5 RAM on a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460M graphic card and an i5 Core CPU. Why do we keep getting this lag? Please fix it PERMANENTLY it is horrible… (fix the botters too please….)

Today I managed to stay 30 seconds in the game. Not to play but to stay.
Yesterday it was one minute.
I go on record.
I think that the game server is not processing data packets of the players. Maybe it is a primitive assumption, but often when entering the game I do not find any NPC.

Bad lag today in Jade Quarry. Been in Eternal Battlegrounds and all around in PvE. Random disconnects and lag making it unplayable. Internet connection speeds are fine. No issues until today.

today it is fine for me thankfully! I am not sure why this happens, when NOTHING ELSE CHANGES, however, both the fanboys and ANet need to STOP telling us it is our machines or our ISP, because it is not!
The way the lag comes and goes and can be lag free for a week day and night and then hit hard and crash your game (especially after some of their maintenance) just proves it is on their side. I understand a lot of things have to be ironed out, but they really have to stop putting the onus on us. If it was our setup or ISP, it would never work properly, not work perfectly and then all of a sudden stop working. My two cents, but as I said, I am fine for now, let’s hope it stays that way!

I’m from Sweden, using Telenor ISP. This is the only game I have network problems with, unfortunately. Most of the time I get 1-5 seconds of lag and eventually I get a big one that disconnects me. These happen regularly between 20 seconds to 2-3 minutes apart at best.

Unplayable for me. Sucks.

I experienced huge lag spikes after the 01 October patch with which was associated a stuck at loading screen and after that Error code : 7:1000:7006:836 which just won’t let me connect to the game now. ( I created a thread about it ).

After your maintenance today, the servers are causing serious lag issues for NextGenTel in Norway (uses Telenor lines as Target.5873 above). You can play for a period of time without being interrupted, then a lagspike sets in, freezing everything in place. If you’re lucky, the game will resume (with you dead most of the time), or it will “crash” out to the Character Selection screen, where you will no longer be able to log in, stating you have no internet connection. This issue were not occuring prior to your recent maintenance, and everything’s been stable until today, post-maintenance.

Whatever you did, you must’ve broken something. (The only other player I’ve seen and asked in-game stated that they’re not having issues however. Seems to be likely related to location/ISP.)—Tested a few other online games and experienced no such issues.

I have experienced some lag. However the lag is not due to Guild Wars 2, I believe. I believe it was due to either looped Players or bots. I was just in Pinion Hills trail. I had about a 5-10 lag. I noticed a player “Sterns” (Warrior lvl 11) show up. Then disappear. I noticed the same “lag” happen while on my return. This time with a player “Bayonau” (Guardian lvl 11). Each time just before they appeared I would lag for about 10 seconds.

I did send a report in game for botting. Is there another way to get word to GM / Admins faster to kick the players to stop the lagging / glitching? I am not sure this is the proper place. I did not find a “Report” section of the forum.

I’m agreeing with Seth Moonshadow here. I’m able to do anything I want until I get in an area with botters. Packet flooding, maybe? I lag, lock up and am booted to the point where I can’t play.

I’ve been trying to discover Queensdale for 4 days on a level 18ish character, and can’t move more than 2 steps without being d/c’d. If I see a group of botters I report them. As soon as I report using the ingame flagging system, I’m booted from the game.

Y’all can get your own botters, as far as I’m concerned.

yes. it seems the last maintenance solved the Lag in Israel. there was no Lag and no Disconnections after the Servers Returned.

This also proves that there was no ISP and no Hardware Problem on our end.

I am noticing lag in more areas. Hope this helps. I hope it is testing for All Hallows Eve :-)!

Unexplored Points of Interest:
It took 30 seconds for an unexplored point of interest to populate.

Skills:
Skills are “wig wagging”, activation -> in use -> activation -> in use. Until I press the skill key again to stop it. This can go on for over a minute.

Uber Kills / Level 1000 Character:
Some Monsters are killed with one or two attacks and they are same level or 1-3 levels higher.

Precognitive Reward System:
I made one attack on a deer same level as my character. The deer’s health was about three quarters full, and I was presented with three drops. After killing the deer normally and it shown the sparkles , “Search [F]” , I pressed F and nothing was shown as dropped.

Botz! Botz! and More Botz! or just Uber Weapons?:
I could be wrong and so I did not report this in game as a bot. Either there are far more bots than I realized or the lag is helping produce that effect? While on “Escort the trading post caravan to Claypool” I noticed Sammy Hendrix (8th lvl Mesmer) had a scepter in hand. I also noticed two and some times three other scepters just like Sammy’s. I know Mesmers can create “ghosts / clones” and it is possible the lag did not show the clone. In any case the logs wont lie. See screens below.

Playing on Maguuma, have been getting random lag spikes that last two days for anywhere from a few seconds to a minute before getting kicked.

Don’t think it’s my ISP, I’m not having network problems anywhere else outside of GW2.

I’ll chime in here as well:

(1) Long loading screens, perhaps that’s normal I don’t know.

(2) Lag – Freezing [my character freezes, skill button depress animation happens but doesn’t activate actual skill]. This freeze/lag could happen for 5-10 seconds while the world carries on about its business.

(3) If I disconnect, it usually occurs after this lag/freezing situation.

This all starting happening often, within the last week.
I am on the Dragonbrand server, if that helps.

We are from Spain (playing on Baruch Bay server), this is UTTERLY UNPLAYABLE right now, it’s been like this for two days now.

10 to 20 seconds long freeze lags, random dissconects, and lag… a LOT of lag. A “we are woking on this” announcement even if obvious, is always mandatory, where is it?

I notice where the first big jump in ping time is. I did a query to find the IPs physical location… Germany. The END location is in Texes. Why is the game routing me to Germany before going to Texes? This explains ALL my network lag problems!

the worst part of this is that if you ask if anyone is having lag in the game you will get the fascist fan boys saying that they don’t have lag and therefore your computer is crap, or your ISP is bad, or you are a ignorant. The fact is that this lag is coming and going between patches. Some patches destroy my gaming and others fix everything fine for me but not for others.
Also, chiming in on the botters. THEY ARE DESTROYING THE GAME. Not just because of lagging, (which they do cause) but because they are botting the best events (the ones worth farming) and kill all the mobs before you even realise there are mobs there hence you get no hits and therefore no kills and no drops.
And when you do get hits, you get either no drops or porous bones (thanks again botters, as ANet put in diminishing returns because you you!).
I got better loot as level 20 than as level 80, which is plain ludicrous. In which game you get better stuff when you are low level than when you are at cap level?
Anyway, I report every single bot I see after observing them for a few minutes and running some tests (luring some mobs to them, see if they react, and when they react, if they react to mobs further out, if they always attack and then return to the exact same spot, etc).

I almost never experience lags in the open world, sPvP or WvW, but in dungeons it becomes abysmal.
Location: Bern, Switzerland. Provider: Swisscom Server: Drakkar Lake [DE]
Especially around the 18:00-23:00 timeframe (Central European Time). Most fights are extremely laggy and disconnects average at about 2 per run.
I know this will probably not get as high a priority as the other issues some have here where they aren’t able to remain ingame at all, but for me, who mostly does only dungeons in PVE, this basically makes the game unplayable.

After your maintenance today, the servers are causing serious lag issues for NextGenTel in Norway (uses Telenor lines as Target.5873 above). You can play for a period of time without being interrupted, then a lagspike sets in, freezing everything in place. If you’re lucky, the game will resume (with you dead most of the time), or it will “crash” out to the Character Selection screen, where you will no longer be able to log in, stating you have no internet connection. This issue were not occuring prior to your recent maintenance, and everything’s been stable until today, post-maintenance.

Whatever you did, you must’ve broken something. (The only other player I’ve seen and asked in-game stated that they’re not having issues however. Seems to be likely related to location/ISP.)—Tested a few other online games and experienced no such issues.

I have exactly the same issue here!
I never really had any problem with GW2 since launch, but 4 days ago the game started to lag constantly. After a long lag wave I got disconnect with 7:11:3:189:101 error code. Firstly I thought it was my internet providers fault, called them up they said there is nothing wrong as they can see.
I can’t even play 5 minutes now without getting disconnect, so I’m in a worry.

Same problem here.
I’ve already disabled any security software (router firewall, even the mac filters). Tried without WIFI, I am on cable right now. The net is active all the time, here is the proof:

TL;DR
8.8.8.8 ping-statisztikája:
Csomagok: küldött (sent) = 2977, fogadott (recieved) = 2977, elveszett = 0 (0% veszteség(loss)),

0 % loss, but we got DC few times during this test.

All the ports are open, checked them. (80,443,6112,6600)

We can play other games, only GW2 disconnects all the time.
And it is very annoying, when you wait 2 hours to enter WvW you finaly in, and you get the DC message.
It was good for almost 5 weeks, everything went wrong 4 days ago after the Thursday Patch.
Now it is unplayable, do something asap.

I would also like to seek assistance on this. Like those who posted before me, I was able to play this game without issue until the Commerce Maintenance (October 3).

Details as follows:
Server: Darkhaven (US)
Complaint: Severe Lag & Disconnections. In addition, Guild Chat, Party Chat, & corresponding Friends & Guild lists does not function at all.

We would really appreciate it if ANET or some Community Manager Relations personnel can assist us on this. Thanks!

I am having all of the issues mentioned before my post.
Server: Tarnished Coast
Net Provider: Cogeco (cable)
Location: Ontario in Canada Land.

This was not an issue before the October updates. Now the game is almost unplayable as the disconnections are steady and regular.
