Her some from my test. Anets ip is failing.
Well, now we know its not our end. Ive been playing pretty solid ever since the launch except when everyone got dced etc.
Suddenly within 6hours from now, started Dcing all over the place. The game is currently unplayable. It just crashs after character screen load when I try to enter the game.
Not A Message.
When i open the GW2 client it says Connection error(s) detected retrying.
I disabled firewall and anti virus, flushed dns, added clientport 80 to the end of the path nothing worked. Finally used GA.

The ArenaNet official already said they are looking into it. But it would be good to have an update.
Be sure to try what I posted if you haven’t already.
Issue is still persistent as mentioned in my earlier posts in this thread. Worse even. I’ve always been on Henge of Denravi server since 3 day head start.
“C:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.exe” -diag
^From today attached
Still using “C:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.exe” /clientport 80 to run the client to no avail with firewall and anti-virus turned off.

Issue seems cleared up for me (Canada-Tarnished coast) but I still hold my breath every time I zone.
I have this error for about 2 weeks. But now it’s happening to often, can’t even do storyline or instances, becouse of this. Game unplayable.
I play from Poland, serwer Far Shiverpeaks.

connecting from the UK
I had this issue 1 week ago and it suddenly went away.
Now this morning its come back, I was playing last night with no connection issues, its so frustrating I get error code 7 when traveling between zones or entering story mode and even traveling from the overflow to the main server now this issue is stopping my progress, Anet have approx 2weeks to fix it otherwise i’m getting a refund and buying the new warcraft expansion, sick to the back teeth wasting evenings / mornings just trying to log in. Guild Wars is alot better then wow, but wow is better then looking at the guild wars 2 splash screen and error code 7
Rant over!
Could we expect a fix soon, Matt? Kinda boring not being able to play the game.
Well got thesame problem with the error 7. Suddenly 2 days ago the game started to DC me with that error code, tried to disable avast for the time but i think it doesn’t work
Connecting from Poland. Unplayable since last update. Got DC every few minutes. Never had this issue before.
10 days, over 350 posts, and no response from Anet. Amazing…
Can anyone update if the “wtfast” solution is viable and if it works please. Thank you.
~I’m So frustrated, tried every solution so far suggested but this one.I noticed the lag and was disconnected earlier to the dreaded 7:11. I saw the post about WTFast.com and have tried it. Initially it seemed to be doing great (for about 10-15 minutes), but I just now got disconnected and the error code showed “7:11:3:189:101”. I am going to reboot and try again, if I notice anything better (or worse) I’ll edit this.
Sadly now, after reboot etc., just disconnected to 7:11… It was a very easy, and might be worth trying, but for me it’s a no-go.
edit – updated
An update to the above from Wednesday evening. On Thursday and Friday I was able to play numerous hours, problem-free. In fact on Friday I was logged into the game for probably 10 hours with only 1 disconnect, and that was due to my being AFK too long. On both days I connected through WTFast.
I do not know why I could connect Thurs/Fri and not Wednesday if WTFast is the answer. I believe there were two game updates, but lacking the expected hoorays from relieved players, I doubt updates fixed the issue. In my mind the resolution is WTFast.
Of course I may be right back to 7:11 hell today, but I offer this as a lifeline of hope. While I won’t be happy about having to pay for another service to play the game, I’ll cross that bridge next week when the free trial ends.
Thanks to Maximus (zipstacrack) for the original suggestion and post about WTFast.com.
edit update
And now, several hours later and still connecting through WTFast, the 7:11s come again. Starting about about 15 minutes ago; rebooted, reconnected, etc. and 5 disconnects in ten minutes. sigh

I have the same problem with the infamous 7:11:3:189:101 error. I’ve never had this problem before and right now it’s really annoying. I got this error randomly after last update and it makes the game almost unplayable. All other games and my internet connection works perfectly fine. I’ve tried the solution with /clientport 80 but with no result.
Same problems. Please fix this issue!
Alts: Warrior, Necromancer, Mesmer, Elementalist (bunker)
Could this be related to ISP throttling?
I am noticing a correspondance between the times this issue occurs and the sort of times that my ISP are known to throttle P2P and newsgroup connections hard.
Guys at ANet … please give aby sign you working on it … and have any idea what it is. many ppl noticed problem starts since last update … don’t you know what was changed in last two-three days ?
Seems you have same problem ith you suport like Blizard.
I also noticed that when ever an update comes this issue occurs more often!
Alts: Warrior, Necromancer, Mesmer, Elementalist (bunker)
same problem here since last week. I can play WOW/D3 smoothly while WG2 is lagging. I don’t think it’s my ISP or my PC.
Once for a while I get 3-7 DCs in row, but not very often. It is annoying.
Could this be related to ISP throttling?
I am noticing a correspondance between the times this issue occurs and the sort of times that my ISP are known to throttle P2P and newsgroup connections hard.
I had the same suspicion. While Canadians can expect a ceasing of this practice by the end of 2012, it still happens, and it looks a lot like this. A new, unestablished service that streams (like something illeagal), that the filters for “illeagal things” treat as one… by throttling it.
Or it could be ArenaNet’s infrastructure just not being ready for the two million copy appeal of GW2, which is understandable to an extent, so long as it gets fixed…
But an update would be lovely.
I have been getting this error too, but I haven’t been disconnected in mid-play at all, unless I change instances. Also, I am lucky if I can even get into the game at all.
I dont think the issue I am seeing is caused on Arenanets end, since it can be avoided (with horrible latency consequences) by using a VPN and I have heard other people having success with using them as well.
That being said, we can’t see what it is about Guild Wars 2s packets which is triggering these issues, so if they could get put out information for the ISPs to be able to look into whether their throttling is interefering with your packets, that would be lovely.
(Please note, I doubt all of the issues on this thread are caused by this, as it seems to be a generic “Oh no, wheres the server gone?!?” message, there are likely lots of different problems in here).

I’m not a network expert, but I know enough to read the logs you guys are posting and it’s very clear it’s a network issue, one that looks like it’s on PlayNC’s end.
Here’s a snippet from one that’s been posted (I cleaned it up a bit for legibility). You can see at #9 and #11 there is 100% packet loss, and #11 is a plaync.com address. Unfortunately I don’t have a solution, but at least you know why it’s happening:

Captain, the reason it shows 100% packet loss at hops 9 and 11 is because those devices are not responding to ICMP packets. This is a common network feature to prevent ICMP flooding against those devices. It doesn’t mean there’s an issue with those hops.
As for me, here is a history of a ticket I have open with Arenanet. Ever since I got the game last week, I have had either this or the 3032 disconnect error anywhere from 2 minutes to 30 minutes after I log in and start playing.
First, a bit of information on my connection. I have Frontier FIOS. My connection speed is 35 Mbps upstream, 35 Mbps downstream, unrestricted. Frontier does no traffic throttling. The fiber line comes from the street to a box outside of the house. That box converts the fiber to a coax cable which comes to a box inside my house. This box acts as both the modem and the router with a 4 port switch in the back. This is the only way I can connect my PC to my internet connection.
I have forwarded TCP ports 80, 443, 6112 and 6600 in my router, and I have also tried creating a GW2.exe shortcut with /clientport 80 added to it. I have also tried putting my desktop IP on my router’s DMZ, which forwards all incoming ports to my desktop.
Arenanet asked me to run and submit the following reports:
Gameadvisor
PingPlotter
HijackThis
Gw2.exe -log
I ran Gw2.exe -diag , and attached that log as well.
Customer Service commented the issue did not look like packet loss, as evidenced by the PingPlotter trace.
They also asked me to run MSCONFIG, disable all entries for Services and for Startup. I told them I had some essential items, like my RAID1 controller, sound, and mouse drivers, that I would keep enabled. I gave them a list of what I kept enabled and disabled everything else.
Today, they asked me to go to Internet Options / Advanced, and select “Restore Advanced Settings”. This has nothing to do with networking. This only affects Internet Explorer. However, I will attempt this step tonight when I get home.
Everything they have asked me to do hasn’t shown where the issue lies, and I continue to get Error 7 and 3032 disconnect errors between 2 and 30 minutes after logging into a server.
Still got disconnections

Up until two days ago this wasn’t happening for me at all. (US Ehmry Bay server) Now it happens once every fifteen to twenty minutes.
I am not doing diagnostics. It worked two days ago, whatever you changed in the patch broke it and it needs to be fixed soon as this renders the game almost unplayable.
I’ll be honest and say I didn’t read all 8 pages.
I’m going to attempt to disable my nagle algorithm. In WoW I used to do it and watch my ping from from XXX to XX. It works for all games. I’ll post results.

after BIG headaches trying to play for the 1st time (stuck on loading screen of explosive intellect) adding the port 80 in the target field of shortcut worked, Thank You !

Made no difference =/
i’ve had the 7:11 code once since i started playing a week or so ago and haven’t played for two days to come back and play for about 10 minutes to have it happen every time i try to log into the world. i’m not disabling my security and all that jazz. shouldn’t have to if i’ve been fine all the time and now all of a sudden it’s doing it. a little feed back from support would be nice even if it’s just a “yeah we know”.
I had the error a few days ago but after 4 hours it fixed itself today i have been trying to play since 6am EST, and its currently 7:46 pm est and still havent been able to get on. I have tried everything Anet said to do and nothing has worked. It sucks because i have changed nothing on my end to say its my end as i woke up and tried to play and the error happened right away.
I have been getting very unstable connection after 15-30 mins of playing since the last update. I am not sure what happened, but it has just became a problem since then and has made it near impossible to play.

I can’t log on for more than a minute without getting this error. Its been happening ever since i bought the game and it’s so frustrating to have a game and not be able to enjoy it. Seriously anet…seriously?!
I am getting this issue 2 days ago, it was ok if I stay in Bloodtide coast no lags and everything was fine, as soon as I went into the main quest instance I get dced in less than a min. Lions arch was having the same issue too, I get dced very quick. Overflow tends to work better.I thought was server problem so I didnt log untill today, I could do the main quest instance now but when I get to camden forest, I get the dc problem again, and Lions arch works fine now….it seems it is just certain maps and certain server that I cant get to…any solution yet?
It seems to be an error with accounts, I don’t get that error when a friend logs into his account on my computer, while I consistently get the error on my account. It also seems to be connected to users who bought their accounts after the reopening of sales for the game.
Note – The connection to reopening of sales is flimsy, but from the people I have spoken to this seems the trend.

So far this seems right, I logged into my friend’s account. I was on mine right before logging into his. I was lagging and disconnecting almost as soon as I logged in. I still haven’t disconnected on his account. He’s going to log into mine now and see what happens. I’ll post an update then.
Update – I played on his account for over an hour without any problems. He also played on mine without any problems. I logged back into my account and almost immediately had the same problem.

Just adding my two cents -
Location: Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
Server: Tarnished Coast
ISP: Rogers
No lag. Flawlessly smooth gameplay. No graphical or network problems on my end.
Disconnected every 5-10 minutes. Continue to 7:11 if I connect directly to the modem. I’ve fast forwaded all of the recommended ports, and both disabled and uninstalled all antivirus and firewall software. I have both -authsrv 64.25.38.54 and /clientport 80 tagged onto my launcher.
Next to unplayable.
In response to Bradison, I created an account and purchased and downloaded the game directly from ArenaNet approximately two weeks before the headstart.
Important thing of note (possibly?): Whenever I am disconnected from the game, I without fail also seem to be signed out from GuildWars2.com.

Ok that rules what I was thinking out. I bought my game about a week ago, so I thought that maybe the time of purchase and account creation might have affected something, but it was just an idea :P
Gotten worse since I entered Timberline Falls. Happens every 5 mins… literally. Can’t even do “Forging the Pact” story mission without getting error 7’d. So I thought it might have had a hint of zone relation, but instanced story missions aren’t technically in the same zone.
Just pointing out that I also get this error only with my account. I bought the game when sales reopened…
I don’t know if anyone has posted this fix yet, but I’ll post it again. I recently started having this happen. After looking around, I eventually found out the ports that GW2 uses and created an exception for them on my router. On mine, at least, there is no preset exception so I had to create one.
The ports needed are TCP 80, 443, 6112 and port 6600, leave the application type blank or default.
Go here to see how to do this on your router: http://portforward.com/
In the event that you are using a router such as mine, which is not listed on portforward, here’s how you make the exceptions on a 2Wire 3801HGV…
The following is on the router:
The address, 192.168.1.254, and the password, it’s 6 digits on mine.
1 Click on the “Settings” tab
2 Click on the “Firewall” sub-section
3 Click on the “Applications, Pinholes and DMZ” subsection
4 Scroll to the bottom and click on the second to last link, "Add a new user-defined
application
5 Type in the name for the exception, I suggest “Guild Wars 2” for easy reference
6 Leave the “Protocol” as “TCP”
7 Type 80 into both the “From” and “To” fields for the “Port (or Range)”, I’ll explain how to
add the other ports in a moment
8 Ignore all the other fields, including “Application Type”
9 Click the “Add to List” button. You will see the port info at the bottom under “Definition List”
10 Now the “Application Profile Name” field should be gone. Simply repeat steps 6-9 until all the above listed ports are in the “Definition List”
11 Click the “Back” button
12 Under the section “1) Select a computer”, find the computer you will be running GW2
on and click its name. If you are unsure of the machine’s name, you can go here:
http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000827.htm
13 Go to the scroll field labeled “Application List” and find Guild Wars 2 or whatever you
named the application exception and highlight it, then click the “Add” button next to
the field
14 For the sake of assurance and redundancy, after the page refreshes, scroll to the bottom and click the “Save” button.
You should be ready to play GW2 with no more 7 errors. Prior to doing this, I would be kicked within 5 minutes. So far(3 hours) no kicks, even when tabbed out of the game. Enjoy,
I just tried having a friend of mine who doesn’t have this happen log in and play on my account. He was able to be on my account for over an hour without a single disconnect. I haven’t been able to play for longer than a half hour, sometimes disconnected within 2 minutes. So I don’t think it’s account-specific.

on and click its name.
Enjoy,
It was very kind of you to type all of this up.
The instructions you give would work fine for someone who has the same router as you. What you have described is port forwarding.
I have all of the required ports forwarded to my desktop PC. It has not solved the disconnect issue.
Conversely, my friend has none of those ports forwarded in his router and he is playing just fine.
I deleted the Local.dat that was in documents/guild wars 2, there was also one under the guild wars 2 folder in the program files and I deleted that one as well and i haven’t disconnected since then
Hm, the site isn’t giving me an option to edit my last post….
One thing I noticed, I only had the destination port set for 80, 443, 6112, and 6600. I didn’t set it for source and destination. Which to me, would make it so I can never browse web sites from other devices except the desktop. But hell, I’m willing to try it and see what happens. I’ll post again after I make those changes and see if it makes a difference.
EDIT:
Nope, it made no difference. I have both the source and destination ports for 80, 443, 6112, and 6600 in my port forwarding. I just disconnected. I’ll try the dat file suggestion next.

Oh, haha, I see what you did there. I’m glad people who aren’t having the issue can find humor asking people to delete the main 14 gig .dat file and making them re-download the entire game again.
