This event has brought out the worst of GW2

I’m so sick and tired of this. People are whining constantly, on both sides. Every zone, people just have to dictate how other should play, arguing about what is best, what is MOST FUN, calling each other idiots for having a different viewpoint, it’s a kittening circus. Enough already.

Please make Holiday jump puzzles harder.

I have an even better idea, make a puzzle with two or more difficulties, that way people won’t whine or demand harder ones.

I like the puzzle, it’s easier than the clocktower but it’s not like you can’t screw up.

Edit: whine/demand as much as with one difficulty.

How many people here still kill the dragons?

I haven’t killed claw in a long long time. Mostly when it’s up people are just farming the waves and don’t give a rats kitten about damaging the wall. I understand them though since the loot you get before the chest is usually better than the loot you get from the chest itself.

Anyone notice a decrease in population?

I’m never in overflows on my server anymore. I think a lot of people have left the game or are in the process of quitting. Me and my friends have no motivation to play anymore. The endgame is just not there and its depressing. Why gear up? Whats the point? To sit in Lions Arch and look cool? Pretty pathetic system.

In other traditional MMO’s at least you’d have a point to gear up. You could have Open World PvP fights on your own server. Fight the opposite faction. Faction pride. Build alliances, build rivalries. It was fun. But Guild Wars 2 is not fun and neither is WvW. Why fight people who you’ll most likely never see again? Wtf is the point? Theres no sense of community, friendships, rivalries, or any point to continue.

Theres no point. Its not fun. No motivation. Thats why people are leaving.

I agree. In our guild ,~60 ppl, there are 3 people left playing daily. One of them seems to have given up which leaves it with me and another guy. I’m on a different server btw since I wanted 100% map completion and there was no chance in hell I would get that while being on ferguson’s crossing (WvW). Earlier today when I didn’t find anything interesting to flip on the marketplace I started to think a little, like, why am I even doing this? All my guild friends has given up on the game, my irl friends lost any interest they had during the lost shores invite weekend and I’m here sitting trying to make gold because… I can’t even think of a reason to do it anymore. I’ve lost interest in the game. I don’t want to, but there’s really not much left to do. I’ve discovered the world, I’ve got atleast exotic gear, finished the story line, finished most of the jumping puzzles and dungeons. WvW doesn’t really interest me because it doesn’t feel rewarding nor fun. I sincerely hope the next block of content is going to make it interesting or atleast, fun.

Ferguson’s crossing seems more or less dead, I’m on devona’s rest now and atleast I get to the overflow in LA. I see one or two players in low level areas. Mid level areas are almost always empty, same with home citys.

here’s my two cents:
It was boring, repetitive and made me lose a little interest in guild wars 2.
I’m not gonna be butthurt about the loot or the starting time for the events.
I didn’t get the best loot and not the worst. The events started here (Sweden) 21:00/9PM local time on a weekend which I think was okay.
Thing is they can never make everyone happy, not the way they’re doing the events now.
I was just lucky to be where I am and to receive any loot at all it seems. But to be honest, at the end, I really didn’t care… I really didn’t, I just wanted to get the event out of the way.

Here’s the good parts:
The difficulty of the mobs pre-boss was excellent. Not too easy and not to hard. You need to pay attention and can’t just stand and swing in front of it.
Jumping puzzles those were a really nice addition, especially the skipping stones.
Fractals

Here’s why I thought it was boring:
Lag: To be fair, I only experienced MASSIVE lag at day 1 of the lost shores, and moderate lag at the ancient on day 3.
No achievement/clearing reward: You do not seem to count the lost shores as a regular area, which in my opinion is a bit disappointing.
Last event: mixed feelings, it was so boring me and my friends tried to make the best out of the situation;
making fun of how we were supposed to drive the ancient away,
like drop a big tree on it
use geysers as cannons; load it with small stones to launch a big one.
Fail with the landslide which didn’t even touch the ancient but successfully scared it away. Shoo.
If you were in the same overflow as me and my friends you could probably spot us lying under the karkas beaten to death just cheering everyone on after rushing it for funsies.
Kill all the reinforcements I mean really? One time’s fair but come on… boring as hell.
All the ninja karkas in the cave. First we see nothing then everyone falls over not knowing what hit them.
ALL OF THE KARKAS was apparently in the cave. Maybe you had a plan, maybe you just spammed a lot of karkas to make us die a lot and think that “wow, this is really difficult”. I don’t know, but it wasn’t fun or exciting in any way or form.
Minor things Like noll, citizens!! spam etc. Good thing you prolonged that though.

I feel bad for the people that didn’t have any friends to play with in this event.
The people I invited that took part in this event will never buy the game, they were extremely interested in this game before lost shores and I felt like a kitten during the time we played after telling them how fun this game is. I can only imagine how many potential customers you’ve scared away with this event.
What’s done is done and I really really hope you learn from it. I want to like this game, this game is fun, but you’re starting to make it anti-fun.

Now please, go and fix orr before the next event : (

Edit: And please don’t use the same testers for the next event…

Orr gameplay is awful

The Orr area has pissed me off like no game before. It’s kitten, plain and simple. I’ve been trying to access a skill point for over an hour now. I keep getting killed by endless piles of risen. You can’t take it step by step, you can’t rush, you can’t ninja. It’s impossible.
That’s just my problem though. We can start talking about how NO ONE wants to play there. I haven’t seen ONE player yet and I’ve been clearing 40% of malchors. It’s tedious, boring and anti-fun.

Tbh, I’m not against this per se. Because I was starting to get a little tired of the game. New fresh content is always nice.

However, as I see it A LOT of people are against it, some even going as far as uninstalling the game. I made the mistake to use ferguson’s crossing as my server and for several personal reasons I can’t switch server. This means that there will be even less people on the servers.
People have really valid points and if you don’t start listen to things that really matter I can’t see guild wars lasting long unfortunately, it’ll be one of those deserted mmo’s where you’ll be lucky to see another player (not bot. Player) outside of a city.

Yeah I agree, after I finished it with my charr I went straight back to my human and did i 11 times more before getting quitting (lots of trick or treat bags ahoy). The tower is fun and addicting. I’d love to see more puzzles as tricky as the tower! ^^
