The essence of luck should be renamed to something else, and allow the user to invest it into
Karma up to 100%
XP Gain up to 100%
Gold Find up to 100%

Spvp reward track gain up to100%All of these could be options and just keep the values the same as they are for the Magic find so that it takes a long time to complete,
I don’t know why Anet ignore this type of thing, its like they have a spare of the moment idea, put it into the game, then forget about it completely.

Is it possible to maybe make it so that ONLY the guild leader, or those assigned permission to interact? I’m not sure if it is a big fix or a small fix, but this alone would stop people from freaking out on average.

Honestly, I would throw such people right out of my guild. If they can’t be social but act all childish and egoist like that, it’s “Bye-bye, find yourself a guild suited for your age/maturity level.” As simple as that.
Agreed, unfortunately when you have 25-50 ppl sitting on the spot with 0 indication of who presses the button it would be impossible to guess who did it. My guild leader has tons of patience, but the rest of us can get very impatient, when people are trying to do this together as a full party and redoing it several times.

if only we got a few little sliders for size and offset, so many skin problems could be solved.
then just add dye channels for backpack and weapons and we would all be happier :P
Slider scale for armor would definitely be an awesome improvement to character customization.
A little upset with this… so the phospho infusion makes your skin color appear green to everyone, yet the winters infusion only makes your skin color appear white to you personally. Other players cannot see the change in skin color. This item is completely misleading. If this is a glitch please fix it. Ive asked numerous amounts of people and they do not see a change in skin color with the winters infusion. I highly doubt it was anets intention to only affect what you see personally. This item should show the full effect to all players. Hoping you get this fixed soon….
Temp solution (confirmed it works):
Equip Phospho Infusion first.
Equip Winters infusion second
The animation to winters will overlap phospho (which does not override anything aside from the skin/eye color). You will still have the phospho aura as well as winters. Goodluck and hf.

Please ANET its been since I believe gargoyle weapons during Halloween that weapons were last rotated in the black lion ticket vendor. I figured after Christmas the Frostforged weapons would rotate, but nothing…. did I miss some news somewhere saying they were no longer doing this? Or is it just because… because?

When I bought mine I was in a “bid war” with 1 other guy, one day I figured I would try posting more than 10k so I entered 10,001 and to my surprise I found it on my tp the next day with 1 more bid at 10k… I unfortunately did not check if it took that extra 1 copper, but either it did, or 2 sold in under 10 hours and a new poster for 10k gold was added. I believe I outbid the first (yes he was their before I was) buyer by 1 copper, he took it off and reposted during the time I slept, or my previous 2 sold 1 new buyer theory is true can be the only possibilities. I would recommend seeing if you can add the extra gold or not regardless if its only posted as 10k flat (other numbers are probably hidden due to length of ammount.
Personally I like how it is, that way I know which character I need to gather with next/which ones I already have gathered with.
I am all for having options that meet others needs, but I would not want to lose functionality that I currently make use of.
Yep not implying at all to remove the current version, as it’s nice for some, but giving the option on how to select your toons. Thanks for understanding.
It would be nice to have a “grid” option for the character icons, where the vertical space on the screen is used (not by default) to show as many characters as possible without changing the portrait size.
I’d like to see a mouse-over on the crafting professions as well that indicates what level that character is at with a given craft.
Some people have requested that the selected character display also show equipped weapons.

It’s a nice idea OP, but I would rather just have a favorites icon or gold trim on the character portrait for my main and alts that I mostly play. This way I can just simply filter out my favorite alts that I use to play the game from my other alts that I use for whatever.
A simple favorite(ing) system is needed for accounts that do have +10 characters on their accounts and I would like to see implemented as a new change to the character select UI as a feature update to the game. Any additional updates to the UI is always welcome of course.
This is a nice Idea, however from time to time (and more often depending on your internet speed at that moment) your last selected toon wont be pushed to the front of the list which in turn even if you had a favorites system wouldn’t make much of a difference. However if you were able to add favorites with a highlighted portrait color, and selecting different colors for each toon you would want it to be on, it would be easy to not constantly swap to a toon you don’t want 2, or have already selected.
Yes yes this has been brought up a few times on the forums I get that, I also get that not EVERYONE has this issue, however a decent chunk of vets or people who like to own several characters do. It is a huge pain when going through 10-20-30 etc toons and your specifically looking for 1 you want to get on, bouncing between several toons can be kinda annoying, I am sure that i’m not the only who thinks a small revamp to the character select screen would be greatly appreciated.

I use Princess, Star of Gratitude, and Sentient Anomaly. It’s not instant, but I find it effective. In fact, I’m now happy to get Dragonite Ore!
The amount of ore/frag/dust you get from simply doing things in-game is too much for these items to consume. A large portion of the community plays the game more than an hour or two a day, and ends up with an over-abundant amount and is either forced to hold onto/delete them. Removing the cap on these would promote an increase incentive to obtaining them, than a burden. I have heard the “Well maybe it’s to prevent the complete use of the ore/frag/dust when you actually need it” excuse thrown at me several times when I bring this up in-game, and quite frankly is also not a good reason (in case it’s mentioned here) to hold onto several upon several stacks at a time. If you use more/all and are now forced to go out and adventure to obtain more it in turn again provides an alternative to keep playing the content available that has these as a potential/guarantee drop (i.e – world bosses/wvw/festivals/etc). Lastly the items dropped from the random boxes are not end game rewards, either remove the cap from which these have, decrease the amount offered via …most things in game, or a storage specifically for them that has an unlimited storage capacity < —- which I doubt will ever be a thing, but simply doing nothing about it is a mechanic that feels lazy or purposely put on the back-burner with 0 intention on providing a fix for what a decent chunk of the community would like to see happen.
Tl;dr
Large chunk of people play the game a bit more than casually and therefor end up with several stacks un-willing to delete, and using up their storage, even after even after princess/star/sentient anomaly/sentient aberration/mawdrey II/ Herta(which sucks) have all been used.
I found out its better not to have every aura on since some of them will block the others from showing.
I hope they put in some exchange npc so we can change exotic to ascended.
Me too. I just have polys at the moment, and I love them, but do not like having to have exotic trinkets when Ascended ones are so easy to get now.
Some dont stack well with each other, however for example the Poly infusion seems to override the winter infusion, but try equipping the winter infusion after equipping the poly and winter will also take in affect, this goes for many auras.
I have all cosmetic auras as well, SAB infusions included. Though I kinda wish they would add a wardrobe feature to them, even if that means you can only use 1 at a time only. It is becoming to much for me to enjoy now, wardrobe/dye system no cost just turn one on/off at any given time so long it’s unlocked.
Or you can go to Bloodstone Fen and get the trinkets with rubies, and spend an extra 100 unbound magic and change the stats to anything you want later…
Though I agree with you in the sense of being able to change the stats at little to no effort, I also agree with the OP. Their are people such as myself who do everything in their power to become a walking talking convenience center, Personal tp, merch, bank, forge, etc, annnnd stat swap on the fly with current available items weapons/soon armor. It’s not about being able to do it in a manner thats inexpensive, but rather how to stick to doing what you are currently doing and playing around with what you have at any given time. Maybe I am looking to much into this, the current accessories and stat swaps is a nice addition, but by no means should it be the end all to the limit of which they take accessories 2. However realistically I do not see them working on this until all legendary armor is done, most exp2 legendary weapons are available, and possibly exp3 is revealed.
Yep 25 more keys 2 uncommon mad dye kits… I am done with black lion keys… This is robbing people blind. 53 Black lion keys 2 uncommon 51 common… I expect RNG believe me I do… but this is too much…

Hmmm? yea… I know that, but you cannot get pass 1 stack when it says it has a maximum of 5 (I have tried). Also I am aware that the item technically exist in the amulet, however it has never been from what it seems outside of chineese version of gw2 (info located in the discussion in the link). It has been in the game for some time now, and until now have I looked into it again, but by using Herta (the item that consumes 250 bloodstone dust) in Auric Basin you get to see what the Vial of Liquid Aurillium was going to do. I remember hearing that it was disabled for whatever reason, and am unsure as to it ever making an appearance in the game or not? Pictures include the item (herta) – (Vial of Liquid Aurrilium) – & (Animation). Sorry for bleh editing as I didn’t have much time to do so.

Also by usinh Herta in Auric Basin you get a BUFF OR BOON whatever it may be called that steals life from modrem when struck and gives you 1% map bonus per stack (for a total stacks of 5) though it does NOT allow you to get pass 1 so…. i dunno…. Aurillium Plating (is the name of said buff/boon). 1hr long duration.
Without a cooldown you would see people roaming around with perma boosts, theirs a reason to add a cooldown. Either sit afk eating corn all day minimizing your corn availability, or use it as you go taking full advantage of each boost you recieve. Also if their was no cooldown their would be no reason for anet to sell boosters until the corn (liquid gold) to booster (gem) ratio matched eachother in the tp.
You realize that the holiday begins in less than a week? If you had ideas, you should have posted them long ago if you hoped to get them into this year’s event. Maybe wait to see what they roll out and make a new post: What I Hope to See Next Year?
I do realize this, however its wishful thinking, not once did I say they better meet these demands this Halloween. If you got nothing to add to what you wish would roll out this update thats cool, but no need to destroy what we all could possibly have hopes for.

Mad King or Prince Thorn/ Mail carrier
Dhuum Mail carrier or finisher
A new refractor or an animation
A unlock animation in the wardrobe (one can dream)
New weapon skins and not just repeats
And though this isn’t an item like most of my list, I would love to see new content/story added to one of 3 most highly anticipated dlc’s in guild wars history along with xmas, and SAB. Yes main story is important, but the holidays have been things that draw back ppl looking to enjoy their favorite holidays via video game.

So far the only reason you’ve given for this request is for those niche players that want to get the 5% extra force depending on the day/night cycle. Since there are already ingame methods to easily determine that time of day, ANet probably won’t feel the need to add another method just for these players. However maybe they’ll decide to offer an icon for these niche players who don’t want to use the already existing methods, so good luck with your request.
Yea, it just seems like its something that can be easily implemented, then again im not a programmer. The 5% is in the game, but I genuinely would like to know when its night/day regardless of any % dmg bonuses. Thanks I dont think I will get an answer for this, but one can hope.
Also existing methods are pretty awful.

I like that some of you guys have ideas that are implemented in the game via mini pets or sylvari, thats cool and all, but I think the game would be better off simply having a day night icon tucked somewhere near maybe the options on the top left or on the top right. Also I am not implying that it would be better if we make the nights darker (though personally I would love that) or brighter, 1 Icon for day/night that is all.
Lastly everyone’s opinion is fine, just wanted to make clear that thats not what im suggesting. And an Icon for night/day would be a great addition to an already great game.

You could use weapons skinned with the Ascalonian Catacombs weapons if you want to know when to use the 5% damage boost. Those glow at night.

Just play a Sylvari and you’ll never have to wonder if it’s night time or not again.

Yea, I know of all these methods. Something I wish was implemented in-game that would give it a nice QoL, and for once I do not doubt that at night you would see a whole bunch of people looking up and checking out the sky in awe.
This would help so much for fractals or world events where for those who have 2 weapon sets can push out another 5% this would be an amazing addition to the game and a QoL update I have been wanting since forever.

Really, what I’d like isn’t quite the same. I want a map-maker NPC. Once you’ve completed the world completion, your other characters ought to be able to visit the mapmaker and have all the WP’s in the world unlocked, for a fee.
While this wouldn’t remove all the tedium from repeating world completion, it ought to help at least.
You know you don’t have to do world completion right? It took me less than 6 hours to grab every HC in the game bar 2 in DS that are locked behind masteries I don’t have yet. Now if I can get “all” HC’s that quickly. Waypoints would take way less. You could probably grab every way point in the game in about 2-3 hours.
The problem aren’t WPs, or HCs – HEARTS are the real problem. That and some vistas – because they take time.
While I agree that the vistas do take some skill – and I think that’s fine – the hearts are absurdly stupid.They don’t require any amount of thought or skill – 80% of them can be done by just killing what’s around – but they take time. A lot of time. There’s 300 something of them in game.
If you spend 5 minutes on a heart that’s 1.5 minutes – that adds up to one whole day (25 hours) doing nothing but mindless droning.Why?
Because they are there. They are not that hard to do. Most take under 3 minuets to do. And if you have a good fps build you can wipe through them quickly, and if you are really luck you’ll have an event active that will max the heart before the event ends. Come on if world completion was too easy people would ask to make it harder so that legendary weapons took some effort.
Everything other than the gift of exploration is easy, really easy to get. You don’t even need to play WvW to get the badges for the gift of battle. The AP chests give a load of them. You don’t even have to do dungeons anymore, you can play PvP/WvW and use the reward tracks to get badges for the gifts. World completion is the very last thing that takes any effort to get the legendary weapon..
I made more than half my legendaries before the removal of WvW exploration, and I can tell you that was annoying, but FAR from the main issue at hand. and suggesting that the gift of exploration is in ANY way hard to get is laughable, its a time consuming beast that will only be satisfied after feeding it several hrs of you time. Roughly need to 100% 10 times, from what I understand Geared toons strictly geared for WC takes 24 hrs, and non takes 36 hrs, that would be either 240 hours to 360 hours on average to finish. If this was tiered toward hard and challenging content this post would have never existed. Understand im not saying it shouldn’t take doing this at least 1-3 times, but after,… Again should be pushed to more challenging content, and maybe instead of gifts of exploration add a new reward so that those who do genuinely enjoy doing WC still get something for their efforts. That something would be something they can actually use rather than toss or not know what to do with.
As for the materials and everything else, you’re right can be obtained via other means such as tp/ap chests. But unless you’re pushing for your 2nd legendary at 30k ap you wont have enough. The TP materials will flip at the drop of a hat, and force you to obtain gold through other means which can only… Mean its going to push you into other content, or you wont make legendaries for the fact of not having the materials required. Badges, Karma, Dungeons, etc all this takes doing other content that have variables, lfg, tp market, event completions, the list goes on, WC … do it over again and again no variables, no challenge, no appropriate way of progressing.

@Aeon, Oh I do get it, mapping is pretty much a time consuming almost worthless rewards vs the amount of time need. If anyone understand where you’re coming from I do. On my main account alone I’ve done 34 toons to 100%. I have 7 more accounts but only one character on each account has 100%. Meaning I’ve done WC 41 times.
I would love to see Anet make them where they could be traded or sold. I currently have 55 Gifts of Exploration still unused on my main. The reason I haven’t used them I think of WvW like you think of mapping. It would require me to grind out 27,500 badges doing the same thing over and over. I hate the very thought of that.
If Anet makes Gifts of Exploration trade able or sellable or easier to obtain then they certainly should make Gifts of Battle trade able or sellable and easier to obtain. Some would even say the same about dungeon gifts.The general line of thought for those who support Gift of Exploration being easier to obtain is, For those who did 100% multiple times they should be easier or another method to obtain those gifts. I mentioned in an earlier post I mapped 15 toons through WVW before the WVW change making where we no longer had to. Did enough WVW to make 13 legendarys. So by the same logic Gifts of Battle should be easier for me to obtain.
I never once said you were lazy or implied it. In fact it’s obvious you are not. My problem is 2 fold. If you have the gold/mats to make multiple legendary weapons then you almost certainly did the same things over and over. The other and imo more important to me. If Anet makes Gift of Exploration easy to obtain or where it can be sold/traded then they should do that with ALL the gifts. Do you honestly think for one second Anet will ever make Gift of Battle require less than what it currently does? Maybe when the Volcano in Mount Maelstrom freezes over.
I didn’t post the numbers of how many I’ve map for any sort of attention of comments. I posted them so you would understand I know what you mean about mapping and all that it entails. In fact most comments about an excess amount of time in the game are negative which is why I have refrained from posting any numbers in the past. I know people who have considerably more Gifts than I do. Making me but a moon lit shadow compared to them and their accomplishments.
I respect that, and yea WC 100% is fine if you genuinely enjoy it, dosnt bother me in the slightest. As well as completing it imo 1-3 times is just fine after that it requires tons and i mean tons of patience on something that isn’t difficult. If you have 1k gifts of exploration I commend you for it, honest, but I spend my time at work and at home trying to get these and cant tell you how frustrating it is to choose between doing hard content to something I and sooooo many out in the community genuinely force ourselves to do. What bothers me is that everyone raises their pitchforks and torches saying I need to stop QQ’ng about making legendaries easier to get, when rather im simply implying to add content where it would be equally difficult, but does not require running around the map avoiding everything as much as you can and pinching yourself awake every few odd minutes. I would HATE the removal of WC 100% for the first few characters, but would LOVE if it wasn’t needing to be done 10 times at roughly 24-36 hrs per toon on content that is something you have already done and has no difference how you go about doing it.
I am a firm believer that it is ‘convenience’ that has rotted the heart out of most mmorpg, but i think the OP’s suggestion has merit, if you have explored the entire map a few times you have paid your dues as it were and it seems reasonable to offer the gift for a fee after you have completed a few times.
If they are going to offer the Gift as a fee then I would prefer making it tradable instead. Those who like doing world completion but don’t want to make a Legendary can sell it to those who want the Gifts but don’t want to do world completion. It would be advantageous to both sides.
Isn’t it possible if Aeon send all the mats to you and you make the legendary, then send it back to him? I believe all the other mats are tradeable.
I am trying to find a solution for everyone, and not me alone. It is a good idea, and this would be one way of doing it, however you wont feel as satisfied and unless you know the person their will be tons of posts on scammed precursors/mats. Thanks for an open mind, but yea im almost done making all the core legs, and know the pain people would have to go through over and over and over again, and would love to see a solution to this and not have something like legendaries be tied into a mind numbing tasks that would drive most collector’s away from the game.

There is a BIG difference between something that you do strictly for “profit” (I say that because their are better ways for going about it) to doing numb-filled 100% completion for the 9 or so times it requires to make all legendaries 10 if you add Twice Told Legend Achievement. Look I have said it before, tie them into a reward track and after you do it 3 times or so allow someone like Myani to sell them for a LARGE amount of spirit shards and maybe some obby shards, at least this would block the content not through the means of repeating the same content that requires a skill level of 3hrs worth of game play, but can be obtained via ANY other content in game that you might be doing that can provide a challenge(this is 1 of hundreds of ways they can go about introducing something that isn’t going to force people to do the same content that requires 0 skill). If you genuinely enjoy killing hundreds of hours doing something I and many others can do while asleep, thats great! However for many others we want to be able to move and do content thats actually challenging and fun. So stop accusing people of wanting nothing but freebies, I TRULY believe that all content should be in many ways grindy, challenging, and overall a great experience, WC ONLY provides the grind that once done, is absurdly needing to be repeated over 2-3+ hundred hours with as much skill as someone who has 3 hrs of game play.

I often wonder how many of the people who complain about World Completion being a grind actually go doing champion trains, or Silverwaste Chest farms etc. Farms which again, one can’t fail.
Exactly what I’m saying. If someone grinded out the mats or gold to make legendarys then they also did the same repetitive tasks over and over. Some who complain about WC will farm Orr, do SW chest runs for hours and hours, FS champs for hours and hours or dungeons over and over. Most which require being good at pressing 1 key or F. All these things can be done while watching netflix. imo the only difference between WC and the things mentioned, WC is not profitable vs time where repetitive farm is.
Which makes me think the issue isn’t about how long it takes, or how difficult or mundane world completion is to these people wanting instant maps, but the fact there isn’t a nice shiny at the end of it.
Perhaps in light of ArenaNet giving 2 Gold for doing dailies, the rewards for completing each map could do with a slight boost? I bet people wouldn’t complain as much then.
Then again, I still think the ‘Make World Completion Instant’ threads are a symptom of the Level-80 boosts, and to a lesser extent, Tomes of Knowledge too. You get to 80 with a few clicks, and after a while, you realise your character is at just 2% of the world, and can’t do much with the skills they have until they’ve explored a bit. (I used my 80 Boost on a character already 80 for this very reason).

Look I have said it before, tie them into a reward track and after you do it 3 times or so allow someone like Myani to sell them for a LARGE amount of spirit shards and maybe some obby shards, at least this would block the content not through the means of repeating the same content that requires a skill level of 3hrs worth of game play, but can be obtained via ANY other content in game that you might be doing that can provide a challenge(this is 1 of hundreds of ways they can go about introducing something that isn’t going to force people to do the same content that requires 0 skill). If you genuinely enjoy killing hundreds of hours doing something I and many others can do while asleep, thats great! However for many others we want to be able to move and do content thats actually challenging and fun. So stop accusing people of wanting nothing but freebies, I TRULY believe that all content should be in many ways grindy, challenging, and overall a great experience, WC ONLY provides the grind that once done, is absurdly needing to be repeated over 2-3+ hundred hours with as much skill as someone who has 3 hrs of game play.

I have done.. uh… 7 (?) 100% worlds and I think I have a couple that are close to 100% as well. You’ll find yourself taking on maps in a particular way or direction. Change it up and you’ll see the map in a different perspective.
I found that I got a massive change of perspective using Tour de Waypoint… and it had the benefit that it was also faster.
I also quite like breaking down maps- first run around grabbing waypoints (and POIs, skillpoints etc that you pass by). Gather as you run for a bit of material/money. Complete events if they help towards a task.
Do all maps like that to start with. Then you’ll have a good 60%+ in most maps. It doesn’t take much time to waypoint and complete tasks. Breaking things into bite-sized pieces makes things manageable and rewarding. It also means you can change up the environment more frequently (it’s nice spending 45 minutes in a dry, arid landscape and then moving to a snowy, foresty place). Also getting 3 map completion rewards in one (short) sitting is a great feeling.

What is it with people these days just not wanting to play the game. You’ve done it 3 times and do not want to do it again. Then don’t. No one is forcing you. And you can buy legendary weapons of the TP. Legendary weapons are easy to get. You can make them your self or buy them. That’s all there is to it really.
World completion is the easiest it’s ever been. It’s not hard. Yes it’s time consuming, but it’s supposed to be. Legendary weapons are supposed to take effort. every one of them. They do take effort. Even if you buy them, unless you buy them with real money but who is going to spend that much irl money on gems to gold, you still have to get a lot of gold together. With out good drops that could take longer than it would to do world completion. Not to mention the current price on mats, world completion is a gold mine.
Just play the game, people need to stop asking for ANet to cheapen everything about this game.

Lol…. please… read the post before calling people out… check the pic… work for it?… please… As it stands im simply gated by world exploration for the last legendaries i need everything else is done. If a “fix” gets implement seconds after I finish I would still be happy, since this is a driving force that pushes people away from the game. Again 3 times?… keep reading… thanks.

The problem I see with catering to the OP’s desire to make gaining a Legendary weapon easier is this. There are many different players who want to make L. weapons. Many of them will dislike some part of gaining what it take to make the item. Once Anet sets the precedent that they will cave to one request to make the process less demanding, the flood of calls to eliminate the part of the process other players hate will flood in. There will be no justification to say, “No!” to those players once they’ve said, “Yes!” to the OP. This would have an overall detriment to the health of the game.
Yes… I never said you Dont ever have to do world exploration at all, just not 10x to make all 19 core Legendaries. Again if this went by a number amount of time you have completed it, and then was only gated by other means, I wouldn’t mind, however it is forcing you to spend roughly 24+hrs doing the EXACT same thing that involves roughly 10% of your attention.
This will in turn push people away from the game when they realize they have to repeat the same content over and over again, let alone forcing you to either delete toons who have made it to 100% or purchasing new player slots.
With all these threads complaining about map completion, I wonder if I’m the only one in the game that has the patience to do multiple map completions.
You’re not the only one. There are plenty of people who have done it multiple times. They’re probably just too busy enjoying map completion to entertain the forums. It’s fun, a great way to level a character, earn karma, a little gold, maybe transmutations charges or keys, all rolled into one game mode.
Instant world completion threads are the new Mount threads it seems. I wish there was a gif of someone bashing a globe with a stick.

They’ve been gathering dust in my inventory for year or two now. I’ll have 20 when I get around to finishing map on my Revenant and my Charrior. Unfortunately, if one doesn’t care for Legendaries there’s not much use for them.
True, I am glad that they at least made them usable through guild decorations, just wish they did a bit more for those not grinding for legs. gl with the 100%’s!

Lol, all good man some of us can do this and find genuine fun from it, but I just… cant… I will but it dosnt make me appreciate my #1 MMO of all time in any way shape or form. keep the rewards, increase them if you must, but after the 1-3 times you finish 100% finish a reward track that allows you to craft or use Shards as a currecny to get the gift. Again it’s simply my opinion, I am by no means enforcing this, as much as I wish I could lol!
My problem is in the pic… it hurts having that their for nearly a year withought progress. smh ; . ;

Maybe not the only one, but definitely one of few I commend you for having the patience. However eventually it gets just flat out tiresome, I started forcing myself after my 6 or 7th, now … ughhh…..
I’ll be honest, I’ve only done WC once. But once felt like enough, it felt like an achievement the first time and I did what Anet wanted and saw “all” their original content. I can’t really compare myself to those of you who have done it a billion times though.
That said, I HONESTLY don’t see the point of doing it again (from a game design perspective, gotta do what you gotta do for legendaries yo). The devs clearly acknowledged it was a sorta BS/busy work thing to make us do or why else give two gifts upon completion?
A simple but less tedious system(as the op mentioned, why the hell would you need or even want to “explore” a main city again, it just isn’t fun) would be to provide a bonus % to world completion after reaching 100% per character or something. So if you hit 100%, you get 10% off the required world completion on the next character to get a gift. Only needing 90% to get the gift on the next character would let you skip some of the more tedious zones, or at least the ones you hate the most. It wouldn’t change the cost in currency to make a legendary, only the time required to make additional legendaries.
Agreed, I would take any change to simply getting these after your first 1-3 times, it gets tedious, boring, and downright forces you to spend SEVERAL hours (It take almost 2 full metabolic primers with a Daredevil/shortbow/axe toy/perma swift/ and geared out for nothing but speed) simply to avoid every enemy you can, and grow hatred towards every NPC with a Heart over its head.
Whenever I see these complain about MC threads, I just think back to GW1 and how it was so much harder. When you do MC in gw2, good size chunks unlock for you, in GW1, you had to run up to the border of the map and run into the wall to get all the pixels you can get for the MC title. And that is all you got is a title, so be glad they didn’t make it so much harder than it could be. (or even more unrewarding)
Understood, However I am part of the GW1 Community as well and have achieved GMC/GWAM. Though at LEAST in GW1 a title is like finishing a MAJOR component to a legendary that legendary of course being GWAM, you 100% the GW1 Map and that’s it! did it feel more rewarding than 100%’ng GW2? YOU BET !

sure earning it fine, but this is by far not challenging in ANY means, just absolutely boring… found myself finishing 75% of Hoelbrak just now, and trying everything in my power to not do this for the 8+ time… including making this post -_-
World Exploration!! I cant tell you how long I have been sitting on some precursors. I have maybe 7-8 100%‘s and find it nearly impossible to do more. Some people out there might have it done, but I nearly begged a friend to do his 2nd 100%’er only to soon he stopped playing all together. This is fine 1,2, maybe 3 times around, but after that … if you’re not waiting on paint to dry or grass to grow you will find yourself forcing yourself to do this again (most ppl).
Suggestion after world exploration 3 allow people to buy the gift of exploration. I am not saying take off world exploration on all toons, the emblem near your name and the loot is fair enough. However locking legendaries from literally 1-200+ hrs (no not just one, I mean as you progress and continue going for ones you have yet finished) is kinda lame.

If you have “The Dreamer I: The Experimental Short Bow” active Ogden will not give you the option for “The Flameseeker Prophecies III: The Chosen”. Once you read the book “Love among the Weeds” in the Priory Basement you can go back to Ogden and finish FSP III.

Seen this post. Whats funny is I have been thinking this for some time. I didn’t post about it because I didn’t want to hear the usual. Get a life, get a job, go outside, get (fill in the blank) or you’re a liar comments. I did max out the amount one can have on my main account and it came to the point the last 30 alts I just gave the same name and put a roman number after them as well as color coordinate for easy recognition as to what they run gear/build wise. It made it a little quicker. Personally I wished anet would let us move character slots around like windows icons on my desktop.
One thing I suggest to those with lots of alts. GW2efficiency.com is great for when you lose an item. Nothing is more annoying that getting the error 44: from logging in and out to many time to quick.

Agreed, I don’t think having the max character slots is a waste. It can provide many outlets for different builds styles, classes, gender, fashion wars you name it. I wish they would add anything that could make this easier for us, as it is now I log into 3-4 characters and since they get jumbled between my other slots I’ll forget who it is I was last on ( It does NOT always put the last character you were on first in line ), or accidentally sign in to the same character because the picture hasn’t loaded and i’m in a hurry to bring a different class for fractals, pvp, etc.
As title reads, I have been playing this game since beta and have over the time acquired many character slots in the years I have been on. This does not in any way single out those who have been playing for years,months,weeks since people without a doubt purchase character slots at any given time. My problem is when swapping from alt to alt especially when I need to do so asap due to whatever situation i’m put in, in-game and go to do so simply to click the same warrior, or necro, or what have you. On some alts I have different armor stats equipped with different accessories, some I use to farm gathered goods or chest’s and this issue gets under my skin more than I would like to admit. Maybe we can have a drop down menu with 5 per row on a drag and drop type of style, or any variable way of preventing last used character to not appear as last used character.
Ideas? feel free to drop your opinions or variable as to how this can be implemented.
TL:DR Character select options would be nice to add when needing to swap fails due to not loading appropriately.

I have yet to check today if it’s actually there, but have been waiting for it to come back in rotation for the pass 3 weeks or so now. Has crab toss been removed, bugged out of rotation, or am I missing something I’m not aware of?
