Regarding the account play time, I was just meaning the numbers exposed when you use /age in game. “Across all characters, you have played 1,600 hours in the past 700 days” or whatnot. I was assuming that this wasn’t a composite of just your current characters, but that it was an individual datapoint that was being stored on its own. That sounds like that’s incorrect though?
Hey! I’m really liking how fleshed out the API is becoming, and I was wondering: for the /account authorised endpoint, will total play time across all characters as well as current account AP be added in the near future? Calculating the former based on the playtime of all characters sounds like a workaround but doesn’t take into account characters which were deleted and are no longer providing data.
Both of these would help immensely for the data that I’m looking to work with.
Thank you, and keep up the great work!
I’ve noticed a number of areas be fixed after bug reports that the elite specialisation icons were not displaying, instead showing the regular profession icons. One of the last places that I’ve noticed this happening is in the LFG tool; you’ll be joining party with a thief until, oh hey jk I’m actually a daredevil.
I’d report this in game, but I’m at work and just remembered it and don’t want to forget it.
This is really, really bugged. Especially when you’re with parties. The two that I’ve encountered during the fight with Mordremoth are:
1) if you’re the party leader and you die (see bug #2), when the rest of your party kills Mordremoth, you as the party leader are the one responsible for dealing the killing blow. Except you can’t, because you’re dead, and you aren’t able to get into the arena again.
2) Two out of two times, I’ve died in this instance because the glider would fail to deploy. I would reach the updrafts on the floor, jump up, it would recognise the jump and perform the spinning jump you see with bouncing mushrooms, and then I couldn’t deploy my glider at all and I’d die.
3) I forgot about this, but one out of the four times I entered the Dream, the cutscene while you’re entering wouldn’t play any sound (player character + Mordremoth speaking). Information for recreation here is: I’m human, I was not party leader, I was defeated when the cutscene was started. The other times, when it was playing, I was party leader and I was alive.
For the monthly Chest of Exotic Equipment, there isn’t a chest added yet for the revenant profession.
Three out of three times this has bugged. All three times, once aboard the airship, Destiny’s Edge does nothing; according to the wiki, they’re supposed to activate and follow you down and at least engage the risen while you work the canons. They haven’t budged for any of the attempts. The second one I encountered the known bug where the airship doesn’t progress forward and the giants are stationary and the instance is permanently halted.
At the moment we can still group up and do it, but I don’t know if this is necessarily doable by yourself with these bugs here.

Wow okay, so all of the comments that I bothered reading are really negative, or were telling the developers how to do their own job. Even though I do WvW a lot, I’m okay with having a day or two (or even a week) between the end of the season and the rewards. Take your time and know that we’re not (all) angry with you. Bugs happen in every single piece of code, and it shouldn’t be something that you get horribly lambasted for when they do.
Good luck!
I second this. It’s been doing this for me since I finished Estate of Decay. I’ve since finished the personal story on that character but still can’t see past Estate.
I’m aware that /age is in GW2. What I was suggesting was that, in addition to displaying the current character’s play time and the account play time, it also output the time that you’ve been in your current zone/dungeon.
Sorry, I didn’t make that clear in my first post. I’m completely sleep deprived due to exams right now.
THAT was nowhere listed in-game. Thank you! I’ll make sure to add this to the wiki, because that’s not even there.
(I’ve made a separate post from the earlier suggestion, that way discussion can occur only on the specific topic/doesn’t become more confusing)
In Guild Wars 1, players were able to draw on the minimap. This made coordinating actions in missions (and later, dungeons) much easier than through chat alone, and I’ve found myself a great number of times trying to draw on the GW2 minimap, to no avail. I realize that this would require a great overhaul of how the minimaps functioned, and that doing that might at this stage not be desirable, but I thought I’d at least suggest this here/see what others think/see if ANet has posted a reason why they made this change.
Hey, so, I’m new here (as in, first post), so forgive me if I’m making a repost. In Guild Wars 1, using /age would tell information about the current character, the account as a whole, and information on how long the current character has been in the current map. I realize that GW1 had more gearing towards timing (see: Factions missions) whereas GW2 doesn’t—and where it does, it is helpful enough to always provide a timer. But when running dungeons during a break in studying, I thought it would be helpful to use /age to tell me how long I’ve been procrastinating (laughs). Would it be something that we could see in the games, or is there a reason for not having it?
