Maybe, maybe not…
Supposedly, Scrapper is extremely good in the >right hands<…

And to be fair… after I started to play meta Scrapper…. those have been my most boring easy wins, that I have ever had, even compared to my Mesmer main.
Based on my Engineer statistics:
42% win rate @ 45ish matches played, before,
67% win rate @ ~120 matches played, after playing Scrapper.

TL;DR
Are they strong? Very likely.
What I found hard(but not impossible) to fight against was,
1) Heavy condi pressure (a very good necro or mesmer)
2) A very talented Power-zerker warrior (Curse you Adrenal Healing), all tho there have been only 1 person on warrior, that has ever given me a hard time…

Suprisingly I managed to reach Legendary, … somehow?
After losing like ~70 matches with very few wins in between,
it appears matchmaking snapped, and I went up to as high as 30+ win rate with 2 or 3 loses in between :/
And for every next 10 wins, the amount of enemy team blowouts increased.

Like….really?
Matchmaking. couldnt you give me those wins sooner?

Just your typical day with Matchmaking,
4 out of 6: lost matches – Complete blowouts.
2 out of 4: won matches – Won barely.

And those arent the only shenanigans made by this Matchmaking…
There have been several matches already where enemy had nearly full team with ’’Ruby’’ (Im still Sapphire)
And even a match where I was the only Sapphire in a match while everyone else was Ruby ;]

All I can probably say is,
Whoever fiddled with matchmaking system, had no idea what he was doing.

Typical characteristic of GW2 RNG and living up to its reputation,
where RNG favors some, and puts everyone else in the trash…

  1. 90% of my won matches are won barely,
  2. 90% of lost matches are complete blowouts,
  3. Any other match is more or less ’’decent’’.

I had freaking 60%+ winrate in S1 and S2,
and now I am not ALLOWED to even get past 40% winrate,

am I supposed to deal with this kitten?
Who the heck designed that matchmaking?

And NO, it has nothing to do with ’’l2p’’ or whatever,
I am well aware of what the heck I am doing in every match.

More or less S3 matchmaking punishes players, who were Diamond/Legendary, last season…

Here i thought S3 will be a breeze also, since I had 60%+ win rate in S1 and S2 and matches were pretty much decent…

But S3…. ohhh boi
I won my first 3 in a row matches….then lost one, won, lost, won…
then it began…

After 18 lost matches I finally won 1 game…. by 30 points…. (great),
and back to lose streak…

Too bad for you, but ever since I touched Mesmer,
I play Lockdown Power Shatter exclusively, even without Moa.

Mesmers are simply designed that way, to mess with other people.

And the way they exist now, can be compared to as ’’Hydra’’.
‘’You cut one head off, and another will take it’s place’’
Mesmers have many replaceable abilities, to fill their purpose.

Constant nerfing wont solve anything, either they will become so bad to be replaced by something else, which everyone will complain about or will stay fine enough to still be called ’’overpowered’’.

That is why I am saying to people to ‘’Git Gud’’
There have been a lot of people that are good enough, to know what they are doing and deal with Mesmers, one way or another.

Do you honestly believe there are any decent person below Legendary1x?
It was THAT boring to play.

Additionally, Condi mesmer has always been good and effortless spec, even without Chronomancer,
back then, they simply werent ’’that’’ favorable to have in team.

1. More or less ignored.

They should buff Mesmer GS,

Changes that I look most forward to are:
1. Reduce cast time on Mirror Blade
2. Mind Stab removes 2 boons and/or Mind Stab steals boon(-s) instead. And also could be made Unblockable.
3. Reduce cooldown on Illusionary Wave down to 25s.

Something that could also be considered.
1. Increasing GS auto attack speed or Damage

  1. And make GS skills less clunky at melee range.

Anet pretty much butchered PvP after they began to fiddle with Conditions…

Back then (before ruining Condi damage) all tho Ele were pretty dominant…

I certainly had the most fun playing Warrior, Good ol’ Times when you could almost two-shot anyone with Rush and Whirlwind crits.
I even had ~60ish % win rate over ~200 games…

But look at them now…

That is where you are wrong…

1) Any player can play any ’’meta’’ build somewhat properly, if they have a will to do so… there are plenty of easy to play builds, the only thing that could keep you behind is your general knowledge of the game.
You are also not forced to participate in team fights directly.

2) If I am not mistaken, if you are sure that your team is winning, you can just switch to ’’other’’ class, just before match ends, and it will count toward that class…
(Or maybe they changed it for Ranked)

Current Condi Mesmers are Top tier at Dueling…

All I could tell you is, forget about killing them in 1v1, it wont happen vs any ’’decent’’ mesmer.
Your best hope is just to stalemate them, untill someone else comes along to put a pressure.

These past few days I have been auto-piloting(thats right) as a Mesmer from Diamond Tier 1 to now Legendary, and not once I ever felt like losing 1v1 battles, unless I intentionally began to underestimate enemy.

You dont know what you are talking about if you believe that BnS is better, regardless how slightly.

BnS is as bad, unpolished and over-hyped as ESO was.

It may have been fine game if it was released in ~2008 not 2012… but funny enough not a lot has been fixed nor improved upon its release in EU/NA (2016)

1. PvE is a complete bore-fest questing.
2. Everything looks cheesy (animations, player models).
3. PvP is extremely clunky and imbalanced:
a. Bots, bots and bots.
b. Nearly half of the abilities locks you in place…all tho it promotes itself as ‘’true action combat’’
c. Zero balance between classes, which make little room for ’’skill’’ based PvP.

There are several other problems, but

All in all, I ended up regretting wasting time on BnS.

Specifically asking for Revenant nerf is simply a selfish attitude, since every single Elite spec is way more powerful than base specs.

Do tell me when was the last time you saw a person play without Elite spec?

Revenants are versatile, sure … but any half-decent person can deal with them, or wouldnt bother with them at all.

Everything about Revenants are predictable and readable.
If you cant be smart enough to pay attention and play around it, then dont bother asking for anything.

Not even once in my League matches there have been ’’bunch’’ of Revenants.
S1 was swarmed with Mesmers,
S2 is swarmed with Necros,
And not once I felt the need for them to be in my team.

People talk about condi pressure and what not,
but something that is written on a paper, not always is the same in reality.

Like I said before, people were too busy with bunkers (Durability rune + w/e).
Every match there were at least ~3 bunkers per team(druids,eles,mesmers)
Now that pretty much every bunker is dead, it is possible to see how ’’effective’’ DH really are.

DH is like a virus, which you dont seem to notice it at first, until it starts moving up the stages,

Those so called ’’nerf’’ did nothing about his core issue.
Anet merely fiddled with some random skills that had no difference on DH.

It would be best to cure them before it gets any worse,
And it is really getting annoying how everyone gets one-shotted after DH teleports(judges intervention) on them.

This ‘’lets just shove this problem under a rug’’ mentality should really stop.

Im sorry, but I cant take this anymore, and this has to be said.

I really tried to endure in PvP, thinking that ‘’It is fine, it is fine, it is fine’’, but it seems like I finally reached my limit.

I am always observing every class, whenever I play PvP,
Which means that there is an easy way to tell a difference between, how much Kit or Skill is involved to play that Elite spec.

Most people could agree that supposed ’’balance’’ patches, more and more have been going downhill and ridiculous.

And now I am going to explain exactly why the guest of this topic is a failed experiment.

(But before I start, I expect that everyone is aware by now what DH can do and does)

Now lets move on to main problem – Dragon Hunters(DH), one of the most over tuned ’’offensive’’ elite specs out there.

After this recent ’’balance’’ patch, You can now clearly see DH true colors,
but sadly people were always crying,whining about ’’bunkers’’, and never paid attention to insta-kill specs.

Lets go in detail about DH kit, and how should they be changed to finally bring DH back in line:

Whoever designed Dragon Hunter, seriously didnt think this through.

  1. First, … DH, is the only Elite spec, that has a clear, base buff on their Class Mechanic Skill,
    -F1, Unblockable, Piercing Instant cast Chain with Less CDR, more dmg, more utility.
    -F2, Leap with Less CDR, double heal.
    -F3, 5s long, AoE Block
    Combine this with Renewed Focus.

For you this seems like ’’meh’’, but considering that every single DH uses exactly the same Meditrapper build with Renewed Focus skill.
(I dont even see any reason why Anet ever decided to give a buff to DH mechanic skills)

Anet should have never touched these Skills.
These skills deserve to have their cooldowns and/or ’’values’’ reverted back to original.

But of these 3 skills, Shield of Courage(F3) is the most over tuned.
Either reduce Block duration down to 2 seconds or change it to ’’Grants Aegies and additional Aegies every 2 seconds over 4 seconds)

  1. Second, … True Shot.
    As if over tuning Class Mechanics wasnt enough.

Here you have a 4second CD, Kill Shot.

And ‘’Try Dodging’’ isnt universal answer, combined with the amount of stuff that they got- Pull, Knockback, Chained in place, locked in place.

Either double the Cooldown and/or reduce damage by 20% at least.

  1. Third and final, … Traps
    And if you thought that Class mechanics and weapon skills were the only ones that are over tuned, you would be wrong.

Just like everything else in their Kit, traps are over tuned to no end also.

Especially, their ’’Heal’’ trap (Purification), that has the highest base healing out of all healing skills. And combine this with Monks Focus (2k Heal when using meditation Skill)
Suggestion is simple, halve healing amount of this Trap.

Next, Dragons Maw,
Either reduce Duration of cage or double its size, so you could dodge within it.

Now combine all these skills and their traits, and you got this fantastic, 101% skill requiring MLG420Blaze360no-scope experiment class, who’s skill rotation is as follows – 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,F1,F2,F3.

And No, it has nothing to do with ’’l2p’’, DH has too much of everything, for little to no pay off, they dont get punished for missing or miss-using skills
There were only 2 classes that could ‘’deal with’’ DH, they were Mesmers and Druids.

Since the class ’’nerfs’’ and Removal of ‘’bunker-ish’’ runes/amulets,
It was like a Heavens call for DH and indirect nerf to any class that had some advantage over DH.

I dont mind being wrecked by Thieves or lets say…scrappers, because those classes actually take a some skill to play and very few people know how.

DH dictionary has no word related with ‘’skill to play’‘.
Every match now is almost decided by whoever got more DH in team, (implying that they know how to ’’rotate’’)

I tried really hard on multiple classes, yet every time i get facerolled, hardly managing to do anything against them.

TL;DR
PvP is a Disaster.
Dragon Hunters are seriously over tuned,
And need some serious adjustments.

It would be just fair to nerf True Shot, since they did the same to Revenant Hammer 2 (Coalescence of Ruin),

From the time I have spent playing Ranked, I have never been so frustrated when playing against Druid than other classes.

Every single Ranger uses Bristleback or Smokescale,
You talk about ‘’kill his pet’’, but as far as I remember their pets on average has ~26k HP, and are pretty much as tanky as any other player, and deals meowton on damage.

On top of that they can swap it from one broken pet to other, and you have to start your ‘’Kill quest’’ all over again.

And this isnt even a tip of cancer made by Druids.

But I guess I should reroll back to Necro when first ’’balance’’ patch kicks in.
Funny enough, they buffed Druids.

Gotta wonder where does Anet Balance Team get that feedback.

Ehhh, what I wrote sounded a bit misleading.

To put it plain and simple, what I meant was —-
There is a really wide margin between ’’good’’ Mesmer and ’’amazing’’ Mesmer.

I am actually happy that they ’’nerfed’’ Chronobunkers.

Before this ’’nerf’’, at least for me, Rankeds were swarmed with minimum 1 mesmer in each team, enemy sometimes even had up to 3 chronobunkers.
Not that it caused me much of a problem, but annoyance to win simply quadrupled.

I won most of those matches anyway because those people were delusionally obsessed with being a Chronobunker.
Oooooh, and what is that?
A Surprise, nearly every single Chronobunker died out after the ’’nerf’’.
Morale of that ’’nerf’’: People only like shiny things.

And the first thing I hear after I join a match is ‘’mesmer can you reroll to tempest?’’

Looks like some people doesnt realize how strong, really is Inspiration spec on Mesmer.

Combining it with Alacrity and Quickness from Chrono spec, it far exceeds survivability and condi ’’immunity’’ than any other spec…

But who am I? Right.
Keep on using your Dom/Duel/Chrono builds.

I just hope Anet nerfs Druids on the next patch… Then it will be a breeze to climb those Leagues…

So you can unlock about everything with just HP you already have back from Tyria ?
How about move your sweet bottom and do dem challanges, its an elite after all.
Show everyone that you are not a lazy bum and you can take a hard hit to the face
because of such demands, elite specs won’t feel elite at all.

We just have to deserve it.

Because it is a CHORE not acomplishment,
and having to do it on EVERY character proves that.
It isnt something like Legendary crafting or anything, since you unlock it on every character.

And it goes like this:

  1. You enter HoT map…unlock some waypoints for THIS character, then walk kilometer to 1 challange, magic happens, then move a kilometer to next challange (which is nothing but walking).
  2. If you die, fail or anything… you must teleport to >>Uncontensted<< Waypoint… which is kilometer away, and then run back to Challange.

    And you must do this on Every character … does that sound like fun to you?

Sure you unlock masteries on every character, but process of getting those challanges doesnt change.

Too much work to unlock elite specs

The problem is Devs doesnt realize that some players has multiple characters that they frequently play…
After all this isnt the first time they do something like this…

Now… can you stop doing it ANet and fix this?
400HP for elite spec is ridiculous…
Since players are left with 2 choices….
1. Grind boringly for map completion, then struggle to get 20 Jungle Challenges (where 80% are Mastery gated)
2. or do 100% completion of Jungle Challenges, … with that distance and few and far Waypoints

Suggestion is simple, reduce HP requirement down to 200.

I start to wonder where did you get all that ’’information’’?

Cooldowns on Revenant Weapons skills arent even as low as you make them to be.
Revenant doesnt even have any trait that reduces weapon skill cooldowns,
They are Average at best, with simply stapled on Energy costs…(+ Revenants have no means to restore Energy apart from switching Legend)

As a Revenant, you are useless when you got nearly no Energy because it ends after 2-3 abilities(be it weapon or legend)
and I will tell you again, Energy Regen isnt even as high as you pretend to say.

When Energy cost from weapons will be removed…
At least Revenants wont be hindered from using their WEAPON ABILITIES WITH AVERAGE COOLDOWNS.
Then aNet can adjust ability energy costs as required…

P.S. If you really want to start this stupid charade, why not add Initiative costs on Thief abilities also… that will be fun… right?

While the idea looks great on paper, I will have to disagree about Energy cost on Weapon skills … It is a way too much of a hindrance.

Don’t get me wrong, … in a perfect scenarios Revenant is … ok?

But let me understand this… why would Revenant Weapon skills ever need a energy cost?
It completely ruins any flow of combat, since most of the times they end up as sitting ducks, intensively trying to auto-attack critters to death, because just to use weapon skills you barely can use any Legend ability….

Does Thieves have initiative cost on both weapon skills and abilities? No.
Do they have fairly easy ways to regain initiative? Yes.

Revenant Weapons are already strictly limited by Cooldowns, and they got Energy cost preventing you to use more than 2 or 3 Legend abilities at most.
’’natural’’ Energy Regen doesnt compensate for the costs on Weapon Skills.

To be fair, from my understanding Revenants use ’’mist’’ energy to channel past legend powers which is a reasonable logic and argument
But what does ’’mist’’ energy have to do with a Wooden stick?

Only reasonable way to go is ….

Remove Energy cost from weapons.
And then… and only then you can look into balance issues.

Why would you use Cleansing Mantra in the first place, if you already use Inspiration Spec(Menders Purity) and Mantra Heal (with Harmonious Mantras from Duelist tree) ??
Or is it simply that people doesnt read ability/trait descriptions?

<>Menders Purity ’’casts’’ Power Cleanse each time you use Healing Skill on a 1 Second cooldown (In total you can clear 6 conditions within 3 seconds).

And Mantra Heal in general has 10 second cooldown,
while Cleansing Mantra has 20 sec CD, cleansing same amount of conditions, without any healing.

Considering that you run usual group, but including you (war/guard/2xELE+Mes)
Eles can also easily clear conditions,
So I see absolutely no reason why would you need Power Cleanse.

Or are you going to tell me that having 1 or 2 less ‘’Mantra Strength’’ from Duelist will be such a DPS loss, … which will make you fear for your life next time you cross the street, as you wont know when an angry meta elitist will want to drive you over for that…

Secret Tip: (You gain 2 stacks of Mantra Strength(from Duelist ‘’././1’’) when using Mantra Heal charges, since Harmonious Mantras consider Menders Purity as an additional spell cast)

I wonder how hard that might be to give Necro ‘’Attack/Guard’’ command on F2/F3 slots

Blood Fiend and Bone Fiend seem to work just fine…
but when it comes to Flesh Golem/Shadow Fiend

Someone hasnt visited Wardrobe as it seems…

There are plenty of armor choices…

But my personal concern is about most of the Shoulders and Boots, which are too large…

  1. Most shoulders should be ~25% smaller (Hellfire shoulders as an example).
  2. Most boots should be 10-15% smaller

Give discount tho those that already has Core game (discount of 10EUR to 20EUR) and we will be even.

The very problem of this whole deal is…that Veteran players (or anyone that already has Core game),
are pure and simply screwed over by aNet…

Funny enough that only one person has ever brought up the idea of this glitch while running AC…

And what is even more funnier is your Common Sense.

All you get from this glitch is the End-Reward Chest…
You get no minor chests from previous bosses and neither you get Dungeon Reward…
It gives you no upper hand than other people, since all it does is give you reward, equal to time spent in there.

So… Your point again?
