Just a few tips.
I used GS/Sword+Focus against her, with 0/5/2/6/1.
Blind expo/Powerful Blades/Superior Aria/TH Mastery/Pure of Voice
I used Shelter Save yourselves/Stand your ground/Hold the lines/Renewed force as my slot skills.
In phase 1, Use Sword skill 3/Focus skill 5/F2+F3/Hold the lines to reduce her phase 1 dmg. It hurts a lot. Use GS skill 5 to pull the second vision to the second white circle.
Use Stand your ground when the second ball summoned, ignore it at first. Just quickly throw all three visions and enter the second phase

Phase 2 tips:
Not necessary killing the rift first, use your stand your ground wisely. Only kill rifts summoned close to you.
Walk to place that the AOE loaded afterwards, normally it should be safe, or you just need a few walk.
Use your blind wisely, do not take her whirling attk – It hurts a lot.
Limit using dodge on avoiding AOE, use shelter, F3, focus skill 5 if you can. Dodge is using when you attack Liadri, when she approach you close, just roll and flee.
Use you GS skill 5 often, pull+whirl wrath+dodge combo hurt her a lot. Use F1 when you whirling.
Sword/Focus combo is usually 4+3+2+dodge.
Use hold the line/save yourselves/f2/f3 if neccessary. Don’t panic, dodge and slot skill will save you if your health is low. No need to rush.
Use orrian truffle and meat stew, and sharpening stone if you want.

Always keep an eye on those visions, they are always looking for you. If you can, aggro them to the white circle if it’s out of AOE.

We have identified an issue with the World Completion achievement that have impacted a small number of players. Please review the following to see if this applies to you:

I earned the “Been There, Done That” achievement, but I did not receive my 2x Gift of Exploration.

There were two separate bugs that lead to this outcome. If you experienced this issue before Feb 18th at 23:00 UTC, then your achievement was awarded prematurely (that is, you had not actually fully earned the achievement) and you simply need to find your missing POIs, Vistas, Renown Hearts, or Skill Challenges in order to receive your Gifts of Exploration. The support team will not be able to send the gifts to you, because you technically haven’t earned them yet. If you experienced this issue after Feb 18th 23:00 UTC, then you cannot solve the issue on your own. Beginning on Feb 26th, the Customer Support Team will start automatically mailing out Gifts of Exploration once daily to anyone who experienced this bug within the preceding 24-hour period. After earning the gifts, if you do not see them in your in-game mail right away please wait 24 hours and check your mail again.

If you continue to have issues after following the suggestion above, please let us know.

i know whats happened, because of the new poi thats has been implimented in LA due to the new patch it think we have not completed LA (the system) and there fore who ever completed LA before the patch and then went back to get the patch will not get the rewards :p BIG bummerbecause its all i need for my legendary ;O hopefully you devs can fix it soon

The misjudgment of conditions for gift of exploration causes this problem. I believe ANet could fix this very soon.
I’m more concerned about how will they recover this problem for us. As I mentioned, the support team member told me they can’t just give player the gift of exploration.
Maybe a new POI in LA map with the fixed code in next patch? Hmmm.
But anyway, it’s ANet’s problem and I wonder why don’t they fix the previous map completion problem.

So, what the support team member is trying to tell me is, there are actually some ppl working on this problem. There would be an announcement if they resolved this bug.

To be honest it still makes me feel crap because I’m not sure when and how will they fix it. I’m still glad see ANet faces this bug and try to resolve it.

Please let me know if you can receive gift of exploration after you finish the map or not.
Many players can’t receive that after this patch and they have done troubleshooting (including me).

We have checked the Map Completion achievement and rewards and they are working fine. I suggest that you check every of the areas of the map once again as the Support Team is not able to provide with replacements for the Map Completion Rewards.

The “Been there. Done that.” title is intended to be awarded to a player when a single character on his or her account has visited every location required for World Complete. I am not understanding this then do you or do you not have to have explorer regions done for this? This was not needed before. as my son had gotten his items months ago without.
What I mean is Krytan Explorer, Maguuma Explorer and Shiverpeak explorer.

My question was do i need those. because my son got the items without them months ago. I did everything else wp poi and hearts and the achievement of been there done that. I though did not get the items. Thats what I as asking for myself.

According to a member of our programming team, there is a known issue that is preventing some players from getting rewards. The team is investigating.

However, quite often, a player is mistaken about the status of their account or is shown that rewards are due when they aren’t quite earned. Players should do some troubleshooting steps before submitting a ticket, because this might be resolvable individually, and ,may not be related to any bug.

Here are some troubleshooting steps:

1. Log into the game with the character that has the 100% world completion.
2. Go to Bloodtide Coast via Lion’s Arch and enter the Chantry of Secrets.
3. Make sure that you have claimed the “Sanctum of Secrets” Point of Interest within this map instance.
4. Some of the skill challenges require you to consume an item. If this item has been consumed in a zone other than the one in which the skill challenge is located, you will not receive the rewards for 100% world completion. Revisit every map in the game and that may resolve your issue and grant you your items.

Also, sometimes the title is rewarded prematurely (in error). To receive the rewards for fully exploring the world, please carefully review each map for missing Points of Interest, Skill Challenges, Renown Regions, and Waypoints with the single character with whom you are trying to finish the task. The most common areas that are missed are World vs. World maps, Chantry of Secrets, and the various city maps, such as Divinity’s Reach, Black Citadel, etc.

Generally we find that players are resolving the problem by revisiting each the following cities.
- Lion’s Arch
- Rata Sum
- Black Citadel
- Divinity’s Reach
- Hoelbrak
- The Grove

Player Notes:

• I just fixed after reading some solutions here, come back to whisper cathedral ( i alredy had explored ) and go back to the last interset point, work for me.
• [Player] teleported to all the map locations and found that he had not opened the reward chest (the one you see each time you finish a map or after completing daily quests or dungeons) on one particular map. After opening the chest, another reward popped up and he was able to obtain the Gifts of Exploration.

I hope all this is helpful to you. If after doing these steps and following these tips you continue to need assistance, please submit a ticket. If you already submitted a ticket some time ago (say, more than a week ago) and, after going through the troubleshooting steps above, still need help you can simply respond to your ticket and say you still have not received your rewards.

I submitted my ticket more than two days ago, including all of the screenshots I get when I was revisiting all zones.
My opinion is, could it be related to the new map (LA Under Attack) released in this patch?

Well as things progress the more ridiculous they are getting………..Here is the latest response for my ticket.

“After sending my response to you I did some further investigation. I see that you completed and received rewards for every map in the game way back in September of 2012. World and Map Complete rewards are only granted once per character regardless of new locations being added to the map at a later time.

In order to receive the World Complete rewards a second time you will need to complete every map with another character who has not done so prior.

If you have any other questions, please let us know!"

Where it gets interesting is that I’ve never had map completion on this character, or any character for that matter. In fact, Sept 2012 I may have 1 or 2 zones done at best. I replied asking them who’s account are they even looking at, I’m having a hard time even taking this seriously because they obviously aren’t taking my ticket seriously with a ridiculous response like this………….

I am a friend of Slugonaut, I have been playing with him for a long time now, and I can say he did not complete the map in September 2012, he just got the star the other night.

However I appreciate your loyalty to your friend, support like this is against the forum rules.

Cuz my ticket has whole details, with all screenshots for each map I revisited including Chantry of Secrets.

General update 14 February 2014:

There are several unusual types of tickets being handled right now. This means that, due to volume, certain kinds of tickets are taking longer than three days to resolve. We’re working to get back to the 3-day turn-around time. Here are some of the types of tickets that may take longer than three days:

Refund requests (harvesting tools, Flame-Kissed Armor, etc.)
Account compromise (“hacking”) incidents
Requests for account restorations
Account disputes
Missing items

That list is not comprehensive, but off the top of my head those are some of the more complex tickets that simply simply may take more time to resolve. Having said that…

Please allow five days before posting in this thread for the time being.

I will update when we’re back to the normal, faster turn-around times. Thanks for understanding!

This problem is happening to more and more players now. The faster they fix this bug, the less tickets about this problem they gonna need to be resolve in the future.

Be patient and they’ll respond to your support ticket. There were alrdy threads on this subject (in which you posted) so this thread is kinda pointless.
And make sure to check if you have 727/727 poi, cuz with the add of 2 new poi’s might have given you the title but not the real 100%

The new two POI at LA, yes, I’ve got it.
TBH, I’m nearly mad abt this crap bug.

Actually other player contacted support and get a total useless feedback. And more people find out themselves in this situation. So I decide to make another post to help let ANet know there is actually a problem happening.

Still haven’t got response from ANet

I’ve currently completed 100% map completion after the patch Escape from Lion Arch released.
Unfortunately I can only obtain the achievement “Been there, Done that” with the title, and also the badge in login session, but not the gift of exploration.
I’ve checked Wiki and tried the following methods to obtain the gift, but none of them work:
1. I went to all zone required for this achievement.
2. I went to all WvW map required.
3. I’ve been to all six cities.
4. I’ve been to the chantry of secret after I obtain the achievevent.

Also, I have provided all the screenshot for you in ticket 377927.

As ANet always mention, this kind of problem usually could be solved by what I did. However it does not. I find it may be related with the new POI and new Lion Arch map come out in this new patch since there are some players also find out themselves in the same situation as me.

My map shows all world areas completed as well as all WVW areas completed. I’ve tried the Chantry of Secrets as well and nothing. I’m at a loss to what they expect me to do here………does anyone else have any suggestions? I mean how the hell do you get the achievement “prematurely”???

I’m still waiting for feed back from them.
It took me about one hour to screen-shot all the stuff.
I just wish they don’t pass the buck onto me.

Guys I’ve just submitted a ticket with whole details including my character, my map completion bar and counts, my achievement page, and one screen-shot for each of 25 zones , 4 WvW maps and 6 cities we need to complete after I’ve got the achievement.
I will post and let you know if this ticket goes through well.
Anyway, after I do all the stuff they required me to do and prove them evidence, I guess it either should be I am extremely unlucky or it is related to the current patch. The under attacking Lion Arch’s map might be the key cause this problem.
