Hello,
I am not going to mention any usernames, but I just had a match around 10:30 P.M. CST where two duo que were walking from the beginning and through the entire match.
Obviously we lost the match.
I assume they have been doing this at least more than once, seeing as they started from the beginning with no incentive to do so (like rage at the team for doing bad) from the others on the team.
My question is what is the proper report for this kind of behavior?
Also how serious would a report like this get taken?
Thank you,
Al
not really, it would just make it easier for gold-spamers.
The game is decently promoted by A-net, so people that would be interested to play it competitively are already here. Actually, the current PvP player-base is fairly large.
I don’t believe that a game should ever be limited by something purely due to people like gold-spammers who don’t care about playing the game. But it could be possible that Anet does a great job in promoting it. I still believe that there is an untapped community that believes this game as a whole still comes down to the game being just an MMO, and don’t think of taking it seriously in the competitive aspect of it. There are also a lot of people that start playing the game not to be competitive but purely because they may have a competitive nature but just want to try out this free game.
Would it be possible to make heart of the mist/structured pvp free instances? To where anyone can download and be able to create characters but restricted to pvp only.
I have a lot of friends who really only ever got into some MOBAs because they are free to download and play.
I am not sure if this idea is bad or great, so I thought I’d pitch it and see what the community thinks.
I feel like this would create a bigger pvp community and a community with a lot more competitive players.
So you play a game-mode in a way it’s not meant to be played as?
there is unranked team-q and ranked team-q. If you neglect every aspect that is coming with team you can not expect to be taken seriously.Furthermore, yes mobile turreteers are a thing, one that is meant to be countered by your thiefs / mesmers / whatever you’ve set up as roamers. Intercept them on the move, force them to drop their turrets for defense between the node and disengage. If they refuse to drop their turrets, kill them straight away. By the time they reach the node they still have cd’s and can be focused down quite easily.
Allowing a turreteer to walk all the way from spawn to his node, without any resistance, is a fail on your teams’ side, that you pay with the additional time it takes to get him down once he’s set up shop.If you pug ranked or unranked, then you automatically kitten yourself. And this game, which heavily supports social structures, offers you many methods to find people that you can organize yourself with. If you don’t want to take advantage of frequently recruiting PvP guilds, or despise all the social interaction it takes to set up your very own team, then there is nothing to help you with.
And yea, hotjoin is a decent playground for you, since you’ll find engaging enemies there as well (the ones that like to farm pugs), so get the max out of your lone-wolf feeling and defend the Pugs there. Many times better than calling for unjustified nerfs on a build that you are not supposed to win against with brute-force tactics.Turreteers farm pugs.
Bunker builds in general stall pugs.
Pugs will always be pugs: Unorganized, brute and from questionable synergy and almost all pug matches result in a chaotic mess. Some will be a win, some will be a loss, but in general they are not really enjoyable whatsoever. At least in my personal opinion there really is no difference between hotjoin and pugs in team-q, except one of them gets more coverage on their reward-tracks.
You have the ability to soloq in ranked/unranked….therefore it is part of the game. Stop dismissing it as if we are playing the game incorrectly. Anet has it setup this way. And as it is not the proper way to have it setup, it is this way. And the game can be and should be played competitively from a solo/duo queue aspect.
I like how the people who say turret engi isn’t overpowered just say “Oh yeah, just play with a 5 stack of skilled players and outrotate him and coordinate all your movements around the map”
The fact that turret engineers forcibly require that when no other class does makes them overpowered. Denying that is nothing short of delusional.
Thank you I keep trying to get this fact through to others. Why are some people so keen on the fact that they have a decent team that can do all of that work to beat turret engis. A build that requires no skill and is mainly dependent on AI, forces you to play in a pre-made team that has enough synergy together to coordinate a complete comp and rotations to be able to beat it.
The thing is, they aren’t overpowered in 1v1 either. A person can simply peel away from his crate and range them, or wait them out. This method simply isn’t logical in Conquest. It’s almost always beneficial to say, “Oh you dropped crate? See ya!”
Just because I choose to outrotate them, doesn’t mean they’re OP.
I’ll just leave this here. (solo players)
Yeah wait them out…hmm understandable … but all them points that the turret engi is able to get while you wait out. And the range on his turrets are unbelievable you sometimes still get cc/damaged from pretty far away. And then what? After you wait it out and you kill him…he comes back cc’s you off of the point that you capped for only 15 seconds and the cycle starts all over again.

it is a L2P issue so much as “Look, I tried to kill the turret engi the whole match solo, while my team was not able to use the 4v5 advantage that we may could have had and was feeding the enemy team one kill after another.”
1 turret engi in the match:
- outrotate and ignore him2 turret engis in the match:
- fight 5v3 on your node, then roll over to mid & far
- after killing the first turret engi, send a condi-burst or zerker to intercept the respawning turret engi, rest goes to the 2nd point
- spawncamp them3 turret engis:
- again, it will be 5v3 on one point, so see above4 unknown engis in the enemy-team:
-one switches to staff ele before the match starts
-same as above5 unknown engis in the enmy-team:
- one switches to staff-ele before the match starts
-same as aboveGuys, you suffer from a giant L2P issue if you don’t understand the basic principle of out-rotating immobile builds. And if they win the 5v3 fight against you, all the power to them.
Additionally, there is no solo-Q in the game anymore. If you complain about a pug-farming build being effective at farming pugs then you may as well complain about rain being wet. If you just want to fight without organizing yourself properly with the rest of the team you can go hotjoin or for duels in empty / private Servers.
Again, it doesn’t matter what skill (or not) one needs to run turrets. Turrets themselves are meant for absolute aerial denial. If you choose to fight inside them, it is purposely a uphill fight, so a frekkin dumb decision on your side to do so alone.
“But my team-mates keep running into them”
Simple Solution: run with a skilled team, choose your team-mates wisely and/or educate new team-members properly. And just so you understand where I’m coming from with this:
I play engi, zerker s/d mainly. Do I hate turreteers when I see them? yes. Do I think they are over-powered? no. Why? Because the people I play PvP together with are perfectly able to out-rotate them, regardless how many we’ll face, and we’re far away from being anything competitive.
But I will not accept the engineer getting nerfed for no other reason than a vocal, inflexible minority screaming for it.
Ummm you do know that to play turret engi correctly you can actually roam with the build and you don’t necessarily bunk a point. You have to time blowing up your turrets during certain fights. So in some of the higher level mmr/or w/e of turret engis you cannot out rotate a turret engi as easily as you stated. But I won’t go deep into that because most turret engis only worry about putting down turrets and bunking points because they have no thought or skill during their matches in pvp.
And you go on and on talking about “the people I play PvP together,” and that there isn’t “soloq.” Well some of us if not most of us don’t have the ability to play with a decent team and we are forced to soloq. Hotjoin, are you kittening kidding me? You might as well tell me to quit the game. You would actually be killing pvp completely. Your solutions to this problem is absolutely horrible.
And you are still missing the main point. It isn’t necessarily that you cannot take care of the problem. It is the fact that turret engis provide a great amount benefit to a team without any skill at all, it is literally AI.
Also maybe if the engineer is not in a certain radius of his turrets they stop attacking…
daily reminder that turret engis are easy to kill by focusing them down.
they have zero escapes, just 2 condi-clears every 20(15) seconds and one automatic transmute every 15sec.
that’s it. the rest is just a healthbar and 1 single-target cc.If you see multiple turret engis, zerg up in the first stage of the fight, clear the notes together by focusing them down and then spawn-camp and/or intercept their team since they have no option to fight back between the nodes, whatsoever.
A-net will not balance this, just because you suffer from such big l2p issues.
I can take care of a 1 turret engi when needed. But the amount of work that you have to put in to take one down is more than most other builds. And when you have 5 turret engis on the other team who put their turrets in the air it just makes it more difficult. It isn’t that I or others don’t know how to handle turret engis, it is just that they offer an unreasonable amount of difficulty to go against with how little skill that turret engi player has to put into the build.
And btw I have watched some streams of pro players, such as Five Gauge, and I can guarantee you that he is able to take care of a turret engi but even he himself avoids them sometimes because it takes a while to kill one sometimes which doesn’t help during the course of the match.
In the end it is a build that you put in little to no skill with a lot of gain.
It needs to go.
Hey, I got an idea on how Anet can fix this. Just don’t have any published leaderboards and/or organized contests for pvp. That would take care of the problem.
This would completely kill pvp…
Plz make more builds viable in SPvP.
I hate being shoved into specific builds just to be useful.
Some skills I dont even know why you allow players to be able to use in SPvP. Some skills should be X’ed out like when going under water, because those skills are simply a burden in their current form. Like Med Kit for Engineer and spirits for Ranger.
Whats the point. The meta rules all. smh.
I personally believe the lack of build diversity stems from the original anti-trinity design of the game originally. Everything was meant to be built around damage and kills, nothing else. I hope this at least changes come HoT.
To be honest there are so many viable builds that I don’t really care about creating more viable builds.
Just get rid of turret engis.
The growing rate of turret engis in my matches have increased dramatically. I just finished a match with 3 turret engis on the other team.
Do you even know how frustrated the competitive pvp community is right now?
If it was 1 turret engi per match I’d say oh easy and move on. But it has been 2, 3, 4, sometimes the whole team!
The amount of skill put into putting down turrets and the reward you get (especially if it is more than 1 turret engi at 1 point) is unbelievable.
I know you may be doing something about it, I sure hope you are.
Can you at least say something about your thoughts? Or what changes you are hoping to make? Or even just let us know that you are looking into it…
So every time people in the pvp community go up against these turret engis they at least have the thought that they are going to be somehow changed in the future.
For the love of god say something! I am actually thinking of quitting the game due to turret engis. This isn’t a competitive game anymore in pvp. Some of us work kitten increasing our skill levels with certain builds that actually require skills, and then comes a long a pve noob wanting his llama w/e or just to farm pvp and runs one of the lowest skill cap builds in the game to get highly rewarded.
I might be able to figure something out Monday. Unfortunately that error code is pretty generic and doesn’t tell us much.
I reinstalled guild wars 2. So far it has been working fine. So just enjoy your weekend, I’ll update you if it happens again.
Thanks for the replies!
Al
Do not put it in the option spin.
Thank you.
Then certain maps would never ever be played…I am against. Every once in a while I want to play a certain map that no one else wants. Maybe if it receives less than 2 votes…but 4 is too much.
Okay let’s compromise, less than 3. I’m tired of being forced to play Skyhammer/Courtyard.
Yeah play ranked, I was thinking of your contribution effecting ranked. I don’t care much about unranked. Unranked is where you are suppose to just go and have a good time. If you get a troll map in unranked you just laugh it off.
But if what your suggesting goes through which I doubt will, then we will never see battle of kyhlo again. The average vote for kyhlo is around 2-3.
Do not put it in the option spin.
Thank you.

Interesting. Try waiting 15 minutes until the match is over.
@Evan Lesh.3295 ….it just happened again. I have no idea why this is happening. But the last one gave me a loss…and I assume this one will also give me a loss. Kinda sad because I feel sorry for my time and for my self.
Has this ever happened before?
I am going to queue up for an unranked to see if anything happens, hopefully it was just a one time fluke.
Actually I forgot to mention that the match before it crashed towards the end but we won…completely forgot about that and then I queued up again after that and the following happened.
Also I just queued in unranked and everything is fine. I will try ranked again next.

I am back in Heart of the mist right now, but I am scared to queue up again…
Hello,
This is the first time this has happened to me.
I just queued up to a ranked pvp match and the game kicked me out.
When I try to log back in it gets to the point where Forest of Nifel..w/e is loading and then this ATTACHED image comes up.
I am not sure what is going on I tried relogging and re-opening guild wars 2 restarting computer but it keeps happening…
I’ve read of this but, haven’t seen it myself. You mean placing turret’s with Ground target up on things? Or, is there some kind of bug that’s allow people to stack them in the middle of no where?
I haven’t tried it myself since I don’t play the cheese that is turret engis…but I assume it is just placing them using ground targeting with a jump or something…I am not sure. But it is frustrating because I played against them again…and they are still doing it =[. I just want to know is this a proper way of using turrets? Or is this considered a bug that should be fixed? B/c if it isn’t a bug than turret engis just got a buff…might as well just make the turrets follow you while flying.
Should be a report option for such a bug abuse tactic.
And…
Maybe a “Consequence”
I didn’t report…but I assumed this forum post is sufficient enough. I just wanted to know if Anet is doing anything about this…hopefully they are.
I am not going to complain about going against a 5 premade turret engi team, when we weren’t premade. Its whatever, but Anet please fix the ability to put the turrets in the air. All of them put their turrets in the air…and with my cele rifle engi build I couldn’t grenade the turrets down.
This just happed: 4/3/2014 1:15 cst if you want to see the turret placements…so not only it is going up against 5 turret engis but with turrets i couldn’t destroy.

jokes aside same reason i stopped queuing last season…Hahaha yeah I was coding it as an int to start but then I changed it to a bool…but forgot to change its declaration to a bool lmao.
Should probably use assembly language, you wouldn’t have that problem as much.
But depending what language you choose party =5 should be party == 5. If not, party would be assigned the value 5 and the if statement would always be true.
Thank you for pointing that OUT! Lmao…It was really just suppose to be some pseudocode but yeah == instead of = for sure if it is like c++.

You guys seem to not realise that if you’re up against a full premade as a bunch of solo queuers, even getting a decent amount of points at the end of the match causes you to gain Leaderboard points. Which is why I actually prefer solo-queuing over playing with a team right now. Also, if you lose all your games you might have to take a look at what you yourself can do to improve, because you’re certainly not helping your team win at the moment. Are you just complaining all match about the rest of your team instead of being constructive? Go in 1v2 or keep going back to points you get owned at? Maybe you’re so frustrated your mindset became play to lose instead of play to win and you need a break from spvp for a bit?
Sure it can be frustrating having to deal with full premades while solo-queuing or being put in with a team of 4 who have no clue what they’re doing but this should balance out to about 50%/50% of matches. if you lose 100% you have to seriously look at you not being part of the problem instead of the solution to your team losing.
I actually do not complain at the beginning of my matches and usually just laugh off the fact that we are playing against a premade. I always go for the win, and I am ALWAYS one to try to strategies with pugs before a match starts. I am always the person who starts a conversation by simply saying:
“Hello”
“Is there someone willing to get home? If not I can”
“What kind of strat do you guys want to do?”
“How about a simple 1-4 strat”
“I can escort you home to make sure you are fine then head mid”
I even mention things like the following:
“Please try to fight on points unless it will kill you”
“Please SKIP CREATURES, mid is much more important to get in the beginning”
Some people have even nicknamed me the person who is trying to teach pvp.
I have even queued up with people who are better than me and before I realize who they are, they laugh at the fact that I am telling them to skip creatures and so on.
Also my individual skill is fine for the most part, I tend to work and theory craft as much as possible. I also try to run decent meta builds and theory craft beyond that as well.
Currently I run a cele rifle engi build and even though the skill cap is a bit higher on this than most other builds, I have practiced it enough and watched pro players enough to where I think I am decent.
But the apparent “unlucky” me who has in the soloqs gone up against a great amount of premades, I can’t carry. Do I really have to increase my skill level to the point where you want me to win against premades? I am not a pro player, I am sorry if I am unable to win most matches against premades. This should not be a requirement of a player.
But hey what do I know I am #theworstpvpplayerNA
(edited by Albaraa.1635)
I started out playing sPvP less than a month ago but matchmaking seems fine to me, if not skewed in my favor. Played about 11 unranked games before realizing nobody in unranked actually knows how to play (multiple games with 2+ people standing on home at the start), and courtyard and skyhammer being the worst PvP experiences I’ve ever had in a videogaame. Play only ranked now and I’ve had maybe 1 or 2 losses due to major team imbalance, with most coming from premades on my team that are way out of their league. The majority of my games end with the teams within ~150 points of each other.
I am glad that you are having great matches, maybe I am just unlucky. But the “unlucky” factor should not go as far as being in pugs vs premade! The unlucky factor should be you are pugs vs pugs but your pugs are just worst than their pugs. You understand where I am going with this?
But hey what do I know I am #theworstpvpplayerNA
int lookForFullPremade;
if(party = 5){
lookForFullPremade = true;
} else {
lookForFullPremade = false;
}Anet does use it. but encapsulated with a

….
}
Well Kirito, that means it is easier than I thought…All they have to do is delete code!
People shouldn’t always assume that premade = better. If you are matched against a full premade and you have other solo queuers on your team around your skill level you have a decent chance to win. The matchmaking system is supposed to take into account that a premade group should have a little better chance to win and only matches lower skilled premades against full solos.
That being said the biggest disadvantage a full solo has against a premade is team composition. Communication hurts too but sometimes you get a team of all bunkers or all zerkers because builds aren’t taken into account for matchmaking.
I have only solo queued this season and I think only two or three of my losses this ladder season came against teams with more grouped players than mine.
Actually people should always assume that premade groups are better. I don’t know what logic you are using my friend. Premades will have a better comp, will have better communications which will result in better targeting, better rotations, better stomps, better reseructions, and would have most likely played with each other more than once.
Whereas in soloq, you will get players that might be completely new (because new players tend to start up in soloq), you will have players that have completely different strategies and not one is willing to give up their strat, you will have players going for creatures at the start an throughout the game even though you don’t have 2 points capped, your only communication will be through typing which you won’t be able to communicate at all during fights.
Being soloq is fine but being soloq w/pugs and going up against a premade is ludicrous.
But hey what do I know I am #theworstpvpplayerNA.
Sample size. You said yourself that you played over 200 games in the old season to get your 50-60% win rate, and only 6 games now for a 0%. Anything can happen in 6 games. I’ve seen people complain about 20-or-so game loss streaks. Until you get to the hundreds of games, your win rate means almost nothing. Stop trying to make this issue have a reason other than sample size.
I have a somewhat low number of games in this season, and my win rate is through the roof (compared to normal). It doesn’t mean too much.
I guess we will see what happens with a higher sample size.
Because Leaderboards reflect skill of players alone and it’ srs bsns.
Some people should be prohibited from creating threads.
Because it completely makes sense that I had a 57% win ratio last leaderboard and now it is this bad. Yes it completely reflects skill of players alone #worstplayerNA.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with pug vs premade. Completely an acceptable matchmaking from Anet.
I just don’t understand what Anet is doing? Premade should only go against other premades. Just because the pvp player base isn’t high enough (which Anet apparently keeps stating that it has increased dramatically or w/e) doesn’t mean you should have such an unbalanced match making. Just stop trying to justify any reasoning behind pairing up pugs vs. premade.
Premades should only vs premades it is simple just program it to where if their are 5 people premade they can only vs other 5 team premade.
bool lookForFullPremade;
if(party == 5){
lookForFullPremade = true;
} else {
lookForFullPremade = false;
}
There you go I wrote the code for you Anet. You can use it for free!
Pvp will always have unbalance from one profession to another, THIS IS understandable. But I don’t understand how 2.5 years later (and who knows how much work was done before the game launched) that matchmaking can still be this bad.
I just hope that this gets fixed, because there is only so much patience that players can have.
(edited by Albaraa.1635)
Same experience here with bad matchmaking. Sure some pug games its just luck whether you win or lose but some games are just messed up lol. Its really discouraging since i started off in the 300s on the leaderboard and now im ridiculously low. I fear queueing ranked solo anymore
“I fear queueing ranked solo anymore”
Sums it up pretty much.
I am right now as I am typing this being queued up in a premade team…BRING IT ON SOLO QUEUERS!
Well as a premade we went up another premade…hey well apparently I am even unlucky in this aspect HAHAHA.
#stillworstpvpplayerna – current score 0 wins 7 losses

I’m sorry how your games have been going for you, trust me I had the same happening to me. However, you can’t really make any assumptions by playing just 6 games. Yes, it’s very frustrating and I don’t wonder it puts people off pvp but I’m pretty sure if you played like 50 games, the win ratio would be around 50%.
I must say, though. Lots of my friends I know and consider them good players have had the same start as you. Losing all the games before getting to some decent winrate. It’s quite odd.
I do agree with you, though, we need a better matchmaking.
So I am not the worst PvP player NA, but rather the unluckiest PvP player NA? I am going to keep playing and seeing how many losses I can get before getting my first win! Hey being unlucky can also mean you are lucky as well? Am I right?
In the last leaderboard I had over 200 games played. 95% of those games I was solo queue. My win ratio was at 56-58%.
Now the new leaderboard:
Wins 0 Losses 6 (btw I somehow have 2 points which puts me in the 38% now)
Apparently I am the worst PvP player NA, but here is a little insight on how the past 6 games have gone.
The first 2 games I played were pugs vs premade, and if I remember correctly there wasn’t even a duo queue on my team.
I belive the 3 game was pugs vs pugs…hey I lost it happens.
3rd game pugs (2 were duo queue on my team) vs premade.
4-6th games – 1 of them were pugs vs premade. One of those games I went far point at the start held 2 people there, but hey I also had a thief who loves getting creatures constantly throughout the match including the start, so even though I tried to give my other points the opportunity for a 4v3, but hey every once in a while you will get a bad player on the team?…
I am not sure what changes Anet made to matchmaking but apparently it made me the worst player NA.
Thank you Anet, much appreciated!
Keep up the hard work! After 2 and 1/2 years of getting better and better matchmaking we are back to square one? But hey forget all of that, at least you guys are trying!
Thank you Anet,
Thank you,
Thanks,
Your very best worst NA player,
Al
They are just words…teach yourself to not be affected by it, you will live a happier life.
I don’t know, to me it looks like a good early morning
I am not denying the fact that it may look good…but I feel like after a while it feels a bit depressing XD.
I wouldn’t want to be in a constant “good early morning.”
A change would be nice.
Some special NPCs would be great. Something like a condi spammer to check condi removal
or in general a npc where you can set the build
Hmm… I haven’t ever thought of that but that seems like it would be a great idea!
Maybe npcs that do specific conditions to see how they effect you (burning, poison, blindness, etc…).
Hello,
I am in no way trying to add to the complaining that already happens in PvP XD, just curious!
After spending a lot of time in Heart of the Mists (PvP), I feel like it would be nice to add a little sunlight to the constant dark (rainy mood) that the map is always in.
I was just curious if there are any plans to add a little more sunlight to the place (or as a matter of fact changing anything within the map in the future).
(edited by Albaraa.1635)
I do agree…I have played over 1400 games with my ranger. Pvp was soo much fun when I was able to spend hours on different builds on the profession I most like and actually see progress made with a lot of them. I have tried an unbelievable amount of builds on my ranger now, yet I am forced to play one build: Spirit Ranger. I could move on to a different profession, but why should I be forced to move to other professions when I want to play Ranger? Every profession should have different viable builds. There are a few other builds like trap build or a few power builds but they aren’t nearly as viable as spirit ranger.
One of my favorite things about guild wars 2 pvp is the fact that everyone starts at the same level and that skill and theory crafting is what is suppose to put you on top of others. But sadly with rangers that is not an option, I am almost the same as all other rangers with small insignificant differences with the build and some differences with skill level when it comes to using that ONE build…and there might be other professions with the same issue…I HATE IT!
Edit: There are many rangers that I have met through solo queues and tpvp that despise this as well. Sometimes I meet rangers not running spirit builds…and why? “Because I am bored of the spirit build,” which sadly I have done as well.
(edited by Albaraa.1635)
The fix for this went live today, you should see minimal downtime around builds going forward.
Thank you!
Is it usually down till the patch? How long is that on average, do you guys know?
Just so all of you know there was a certain “word” I had that they replaced with kitten…
I finished my PvP monthly very early in the month so I am not able to get the 10 laurels that people are getting now…THIS MAKE ME VERY MAD…you don’t know how much I hate this…why? why punish me by not getting the laurels because I actually PLAY kittenG pvp and now you have all the noobs who never play pvp get awarded…but guess what? Most of them are going to only be there for their monthly and head the kitten out to PvE as soon as they are kittenng done, if something like this happens don’t you think it is proper to GIVE ALLLLLLL who finished their pvp monthly already the kitten laurels? WHYYYY do you like to make people mad? WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
Thank you two for your help!
Hello, I am building a MEDIUM +power +toughness +vitality (soldiers) armor and I found all the exotic karma pieces EXCEPT the legs, I cannot seem to find the MEDIUM +power +toughness +vitality (soldiers) legs anywhere…I have been to all of the temples but none are supplied with it…anyone know where they are located?
The hot joins aren’t really considered important…I actually don’t play them that often, I tend to just focus on tournaments, but hot joins are meant to be very flexible so yes people are going to always come and go and I don’t see that as a problem at all…UNTIL it occurs in tournaments only then does it become a problem that people leave to be honest.
My question is why does it happen more in 5v5 rooms rather than 8v8 rooms?
My assumption would be because in spvp people tend to want as many people because the more people the more chance for kills/neutralizing/capping/getting treb hits …and so on and some people i feel don’t realize that they are joining a 10 max rather than 16 max players so when they do that they tend to leave and go to a different map…
and some other things already mentioned that effects both spvp 8v8 and 5v5 are:
capricon
tpvp is up
joins just to play for a bit not necessarily throughout a whole match
and so on…
I’ve been doing solo queue for a while now (sometimes duo que), but I have been getting paired up with premades as well and as much as there is a disadvantage when it comes to communication, i try to the best of my abilities to communicate plan before and during the game with the other solo queues and it actually tends to work…Lately I’ve been getting paired up against premades but I have also been getting a good team strategy that I type up to my fellow solo queues and I have won against many premades…All I am trying to say is a great amount of people who solo queue do it and tend to think that they are on their own throughout the match, but if you actually try to communicate with them (ESPECIALLY before the match starts) you will have a higher chance of winning.
And when you win especially against premades it is all that much more rewarding…
COMMUNICATE! COMMUNICATE!
For example (Spirit Watch):
BEFORE MATCH START I will literally say something like the following:
“I will be heading to their node in order to stop them from capping it in case they get the orb”
“One person should go to our close node and then to raven if possible – Who wants this role?”
“The rest of the team head down to orb (put down aoe’s on orbs so they won’t get it) target people (ctr + click and press “t” to follow that target)."
“After the initial fight at orb you will then roam points and orb throughout the map”
“With a few people dedicated to only capturing points.”
and then if anyone has an opinion and wants to add or change something they tend to do so.
DURING THE MATCH:
I tend to always announce when I am capping a point (especially to allow orb runner to see available points for them)
I tend to call out points that an enemy is currently capping to send someone/me there.
and so on…
If you do this I am not promising that you will 100% win against a premade of course not, but I can guarantee that you will increase your percentage of winning by a lot more.
Lol, Sometimes I even add in that you should’nt forget to finish and revive teamates around you (so basics of pvp)
