The first guild to capture Guilded Hollow is “Team Aggression”.
Congratulations to your speediness!

On a side note, I have 2 questions. Can a Guild own both places? Second, if at a later date, can you switch places and still retain your current guild upgrades?
1) No, you can only won one at a time
2) Yes, to capture a different one go purchase the expedition for that hall and complete it. You will retain your old hall until you succeed the new expedition. All of your upgrades will then apply to your new hall and you will loose access to your old hall.
Another fun fact that I feel is relevant to this “discussion”: the Arenanet guild chose and captured the Lost Precipice Guild Hall.
Guild Halls have been in game now for about six days. Here are some statistic so far:
1) Lost Precipice has been captured 1465 times
2) Gilded Hollow has been captured 2751 times
3) The very first guild hall to be captured is Lost Precipice by the guild “Za Drots”. They captured their guild hall less than two hours after launch.
4) Guild Halls have been captured by 4202 unique guilds, meaning 14 guilds have switched guild halls so far.
5) 7 guilds have completed restoring their arena, meaning they unlocked the second mainline arena upgrade.

The treasury is separate from the guild bank. Since you cannot remove items from it there is far less (no?) concern about it being abused by RMT.
Currently Play for Free players are able to donate to it.
Seth I do have a couple more questions if you’d be so kind to answer them if you can.
Could core players fully navigate a guild hall map? I’m asking because Lost Precipice seemed to rely a lot on gliding in the stream. Or do they get all waypoints unlocked inside without having to get in proximity of them?
Also wondering if they can use the guild materials storage/deposit for upgrades.
You can walk to most all places in Lost Precipice, it is just not nearly as fast or fun. Getting to the entrance requires gliding but once the Guild Hall is claimed guild members can teleport to it via the button on the guild panel.
Non HoT players can donate to the treasury.
HoT - Custom Guild Ranks - Old Permissions
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns
Posted by: Alina Chadwick
Your custom ranks will still be there and will for the most part have the same permissions set. You should check them over post HoT ship to make sure everything is still how you want it and to set the new permissions.
There are two types of new permissions, those that replace old ones and those that are just new.
All the “just new” ones will be unset for existing ranks other than leader.
The ones that replace old ones will be set to whatever the one they are replacing is set to.
Example of replaced permissions:
“Guild Stash Deposit” will no longer exist and instead you will see “Guild Stash – Deposit Items” and “Guild Stash – Deposit Gold”, both the new permissions will be set to whatever “Guild Stash Deposit” was set to.
Example of a new permission:
“Arena Decorator” is just new and will not be set on any of your custom ranks.
Also some permissions went away and where not replaced. An example of this is “Display Guild Emblem”. This permission in practice did nothing at all and so was removed to reduce clutter. You will not see it in any of your custom ranks post HoT.
Commendations (the personal currency) is remaining the same and will carry over.
There is a separate thread on the guild bank, but tldr for the bank: if you have it now you will still have it then.
24 hour boosts that are currently active when HoT ships will remain active for the duration of their time.
World Event Spawns will carry over.
To clarify any confusion. Once your guild has a decoration it has it. You can place it, erase it, and place it again as many times as you want.
Placing a decoration does NOT destroy the decoration.
Edit: What this means is that buying another decoration will increase the total number of that decoration you can have placed in your Guild Hall at once.
The only way to loose a decoration is to use it in a scribing recipe (you will loose the old one and gain the improved one).

You can get into the Guild Hall map if you do not have Heart of Thorns and hang out with people, but most of the HoT guild features in there will be disabled for you. For example you will not be able to enter the Arena. I’m not going to go into detail on which specific things will be accessible and which are not because I’ll probably get it wrong
will it only be for “items” like banners? or also for MF buffs and stuff? :o
Anything that appears in the upgrade queue on the guild panel. So banners, MF buffs, unlocks, research levels, etc.
Items currently in your queue when HoT launches will be auto-completed.
Will it cost any influence for the queue to be auto-complete?
Nope, the auto-completion will be free.
Items currently in your queue when HoT launches will be auto-completed.
How large is the radius on the visible gold dots when working as intended? Will I be able to stand at EB spawn and see gold dots in enemy keeps?
Just like with party members you can see the gold dots anywhere in the world. The rate as which the position updates is much lower for players not in the same map as you (which is also how party dots work currently).
Thanks for the response, Seth. I hope this upcoming feature will have a toggle option, as I imagine people in guilds with 500 members might not want their maps to be obliterated by yellow dots.
Is this something that we’ll be able to toggle off?
Being part of a big guild, Teq will look really cluttered with a whole bunch of yellow dot around a commander tag.
Good feedback, thanks.
The gold ‘guild member’ dot is an issue though. If you are in party, Why shouldn’t they all be blue dots still? You already know who is in your guild, having some party members in blue and some in gold because they are repping same guild, is just plain odd.
The dot at the edge of the minimap has been buggy at times for longer than we’ve had this gold color for guild members.
Edit: Why is this feature needed? Why should party members show as different colored dots?
Party members should not show in gold, they should always show in blue. Guild members that are not in your party should show in gold. The fact that this is working otherwise currently is a bug.
This feature, when working properly, allows you to see your guild members on the world map without the need to be in a party with them.

Thank you for the reports.
Edit – To add a bit more: this was not intended to ship yet, and unfortunately the version you got is just before I fixed a number of issues with it (most of them you call out above). You should find this feature to be much more polished in the next release.

Nope, I recommend spending them now.
However, it’s likely that, even with this, you’ll wind up with some small amount that you can’t spend in any way. If the cheapest thing takes 200 Inf, and you only have 150, then that 150 is wasted.
The Resonance trader will allow you to convert that last little bit.
Dear admin,
Can we still build guild catapult with guild influence after HOT expansion roll in?
Cheers
Talindra
I think it will technically be possible (via converting the influence to favor) but the exchange rate will not be as favorable. I recommend you build as many as you can now.
Wow. I want those headphones…
