Hey I have been playing around with condi Tempest a bit the last 2 weeks, and Im getting some intresting numbers.
On small taget im hiting around 27-28 k DPS on both dagger/warhorn and scepter/warhorn
On large its around 31-32k DPS.
Im not using sylvarian (root) and I dont have buff from enginer so might be able to get higher numbers.
I have also tested this in raids and been top dps on several bosses.

This build works on burn and bleed.
But I got some intresting comments on that full burn ele is better. I havent seen any builds on this or videos or dps proof. Has anyone tested out Sinister burn ele and checked the dps?
I´m also working on a build for pvp where I change the lightning hammer for Earth Shield, but I´m to inexperienced whit the shield so I press the wrong buttons all the time. Also trying to figure out what runes to use in combination with this build.
Hello there I have been trying some diffrent builds and I would like to have you looking in to this one. (sorry if someone allready posted this)
The idee is Fresh Air build + boons + lightninghammer filler.
So you start out in Air use glyph of storm, conjur lightninghammer, use overload switch atunment, crit and back to Air, Where you can use lightninghammer (or heal or utilitys) while you wait for overload. Then just repeat this.
From what I have tried the damage is insane in groups.
One thing with this build is that it makes your choice of weapons obsolete,
even if you run out of hammer (somone els picks upp the spare just fill in with utilitys or some quick fire fields. the hammer will soon be off cd)
You could try my build, I havent had any problems whit doing damage/ or surviving/ or supporting.
I´m runing a 10/30/0/15/15 build at the moment, you can switch around a point here or there, but the important bit is to have high crit.
In Fire I picked VI
In Air I picked VI, X, and V ( or XII in pvp)
In Water I picked VI
In Arcane I picked V
I´m using Superior Runed of the Oger and Berserkers on jewlery whit PPC.
Utilitys: Ether Renewal / Arcane Wave/ Arcane Shield/ Mist Form / Glyph of Elementals.
This Settup gives me good Damage around 2000-3000 damage on Fire Auto attack, and I can crit up to 5-6000 on Air #2. I also have Nice survivability thanks to my Utilitys and the extra healing from 15 in water+ from Air Trait V.
A good rotation I use is starting in Fire I do the folowing:
F#2 – F#3 – F#5 – F#2 Switch Waterer
W#2 – W#4 Switch Air
A#2 – A#5 Switch Earth
E#1 -E#1 – E#1 – E#5 – E#2 Switch Fire Start over rotation. This will ofc change during fight but this is a guidline to keep coming back to. I´m guessing I will get a ton of post saying how bad this is but its working great for me, Dungeons feels almost to easy.
Hell I use my utilitys mostly for ressing others then protecting myself :P
I’m hitting 4000-4700 with each lightning autoattack, and they cast roughly in 1 second.
so you’re severely outdamaged (even more in DE’s / when other people in dungeons also run cdmg builds)
Pleas give me you build becaus I´m in full Bersekrer and only hiting around 2000 on auto attack whit a 10/30/0/15/15 Build Whit Staff

30 Air is great becaus you can get several nice things from it. First of the 300 precision to help you crit more, then you have 30% critical damage, I played around whit a 30/30/0/0/10 build and from what I experienced you dont lose to much damage compared to my 10/30/0/15/15 build. This build is made mostly for damage but whit a little twist.
Then we got the traits and here we have the mandatory VI (Blot to the heart) That kicks upp your damage by 20% when enemy is below 33% health. This will help you finish of your foes quicker. Secondly I choosed X (Air training) this will boost you DPS when you hit Air atunment the Elextric discharge can hit really hard and be a lifesavior when you switch to Air. But where it Really shine is when you combine it whit XII (Grounded) and you stunn you foe whit #5 and then hit them whit #2. I got crits above 5000 damage this way. This is what I use mostly, when i do pvp and want to be more supportive I switch out the XII for V (Soothing winds)
so upp my healing a bit.
You dont use Meteor under Fire? That the thing use it! Hit #2 then#3 then Meteor #5. When its doen casted #2
and #3 is upp again so you can dish out them before switching to next atunment. Or when you want to stort fight whit #5 the extra damage is really nice having crits above 4500-5000k.

While am at it I can explain the other traist aswell. the 15 in water are for 2 things. First you have the 10% more damage while ocer 90% health, hey we love damage!. Secondly we have the extra healing it provide both to you and you team mates. Saved me manny times.
15 Points in to Arcane, well do I need to explain this? I used to run 20 points in to arcane but the VIII (blasting staff) was not required after I practiced whitout it. I feel I can still hit my targets and doing fine whitout it.

Just want to post my build. This build works really good in both sPVP and PVE. You might be a bit squishy at first but try it out and you will soon learn how to use it and staying alive.

Well since 14/12 I think our water battleas has been improved allot. I have no fear of water anynmore =).
I usually usually starts of whit fire and cast of all those spells (leaving 2 for last) Then I cast nr 2 then switch to water use nr 5, > nr 3 > nr 2. Then if I need I use nr4. Els I switch to Air and just finish them of.
I done some videos of me playing staff, works quite well. Im runing a 10/30/0/10/20 build and I´m almost always top player in the sPvP. Usually I also get the most kills, most point caped/defende and so on.

Grats. I realized this months ago. Theres no ranged dps spec for eles in pvp.
Spamming AoE that anyone with half a brain can avoid doesnt make it good.
And tbh, the damage of the aoe in staff is not that good, its not as bursty as D/D and Meteor shower only hits 5 targets.
Make all skills in staff activate and travel twice as fast, then we can talk.
Add some more homing of the nr1 skills while your at it, air is the only nr1 skill that works in pvp, the rest misses 90% of the time.
Your saying that AOE on staff isent good and that ppl avoid it, still I whery often get 300 point + and around 20 kills. I must be hiting something lol
I dont get this, I run staff in sPVP and 90-95% of the time I´m the top player in my team. I get a tons of kills around 20 a round.
And I´m a 10/30/0/10/20 build with berserkers Jewl and amuletSo do I. On a good round, I’m usually top player with 200+ glory. But you know what happens when someone realizes what’s going on? They target you. And in sPVP, you can’t rely on your team for kitten. It’s every man for himself. No one even resses in you sPVP. Most times, people just walk over my body and use it as a stepping stool. When you get targetted, it’s 1v1 time. I’ve played staff for a long time, I’m pretty decent at 1v1 but some classes are still very hard to play against and I would lose a lot to various classes, like the DD ele for example.
Now, I switched to DD and 1v1 battles are fun and challenging. Before, with staff, they were fun, challening, hard, and sometimes frustrating. I get less points, but I’m new to dd ele. And imo, most of the staff ele kills were assist kills from raining bombs from 1200 range while my team did the work.
With dd ele, I earn my kills. It feels good. With staff ele, I would stare down from a cliff and when someone died, I go “oh, looks like another one fell to my lava fonts and meteor storms.” He’s just another 25 glory. Another statistic. In a 1v1 duel, the killing is more personal and it feels more satisfying.
Thats the great thing whit sPVP noone relize =). Hell I even stand in the middle of all chaos and just pour AOE down above my point and killing of anything that aproahes me. I admit that 1 vs 1 is so hard, I win maby 1 out of 10 1vs1. But thats not the playing style for this build I run.
I guess its how you feel about the game , I like beeing on the highground just massaker evereyone belove whit my spells. So what if its an assist kill it a kill thet helped my team win + it gives me more points. Its not less you kill you just did it as teamwork and that “smart”.

Blasting Staff animation of Target Area is Bugged. Despite that I spent points in Blasting staff it still only shows the small Target Area. The spell works tho and I still get the bigger area when casted,
This only happens in PVE tho. PvP is fine
Ehm,, none of the finisher works for me. I dodge and nothing happens despite attunment…

Ye but it dosent give crit, it just caus burning. And that dosent happen to often and if it does the damage is little compared to the extra 10% from VI (if it even stays on most ppl cleans it right away).
Since I switched to this build I kille enemies like newerbefore. They just fall over whit a compo of Fire /Earth /Air. Still this is a glassbuild so you need to be able to move and know when to use you cantrips/heals and so on. So far its going great for me.
No I use the VI Internal Fire whit the 10% more damage in Fire atunment. I used to have the 30% one , But after some testing I felt the VI did more for me.
Hey just wanne share my new build that I been testing out since the patch: This is a damage build, but I still feel that I can survive good enough. I gone whit a 10/30/0/10/20 Build thats focusing in crit. I´m using Superior rune of Devinity and Berserker´s Amulet.

Ye I admit I´m a clicker :P. (if thats what you ment). I just feel more comfortable using my mouse clicking the spells then binding them to keys.
Binding spells probly better but, hey I´m still doing great =).
I do =), I have only tried it in sPvP and in PVE (up to lvl 50). But I think this build works great and is allot of fun.
I currently run 20/20/0/0/30 Staff, Whit Scholar runes and Knight amulet(whit berserker jewl) in PvP

Hey, want to chare my build whit you all. I use this both in PVE and sPVP. I think it works quite well. Itsn not full glass canon but I havent stacked much survival in it.

Just wanne add that like my Elementalist, but Yes it is unbalanced and weak. I think I can count the times I won a 1 vs 1 in sPVP on one hand. That doesent mean I play bad I´m doing quite well in sPVP geting top in the points, and doing quite well in PVE. But it takes allot of work and this dosent equal the work other classes need to put in to be even better then the elementalist. Atlest Arenanet should give elementalist some reward for all that work and effort whit the atunment dancing/combo spellcasting that would rival the other classes.
