My thief, same one as I posted months ago but I used a makeover kit and spent way too much gold kitting her out.

On a side note well done to whoever designed the ascended leggings – they have a soft waist line so you can actually use them with the T3 chest.

At a bit of a loss as to what gloves to get, I’ve looked through all of them and haven’t really liked any so I stuck the TA ones from my old set on

I only really noticed it after the karka queen update, it makes the game unplayable. I don’t have it all the time, and it seems to be at the busier times when I’d assume more people are on.
I too have a good PC and I have a very fast connection.

Selling them would probably be your best bet. RNG means you could put in 4 and get a precursor, or put in 1000 and not get anything.

RNG is RNG, I got very very lucky. I’d not be in with a chance of making a legendary without said luck.

Crafting is mainly used for powerlevelling alts as the materials needed are either expensive to buy from the TP or take a long time to accumulate whilst playing.

not sure if its possible still but when i did this the doubloons were 25s, using the ‘right’ gems in the forge you can easily end up ahead. its boring spamclicky work but it might be your best option if your tight for money. the copper->silver idea was mentioned many many times before and nothing happened, basically the idea of gettin them from the forge increased their supply drammatically.. ironically the price of the doubloon still went up.

I used a stack of the 4 cheapest gems and came out with 6 or 7, but for the cost I could have bought 8 from the TP.
Any hints on the “right gems”, and if it’d be viable with the prices of gems and doubloons as they are?

Do silver doubloons drop from any mobs? If not, which bags are the best bet for getting them?

I’ve tried to chuck gems into the toilet and I’ve gotten one or two, but I need a stack of them, and I could have bought more than I spent on buying the mats of the TP.

Why can’t we use a copper > silver transmog recipe like we can silver > gold :’(

Hopefully I won’t have to resort to spending 130+g on them.

As the title suggests, I need to decide between which infusion to get for my amulet. I know there’s no solid evidence for MF working or not, so is it simply 20% more gold from monsters all the time vs. 20% better chance to get good loot on occasion?

As the title suggests, I’m looking for a build that has decent condition removal without too much stealth usage, as I really want to use S/D more with the buff.

Apart from #2 on Sword/X and HiS, without the trait for removal in stealth is there any way to remove all conditions (I know there’s a cripple removal on dodge etc)

P/P is one of the weaker sets for Thief. In terms of ranged options, SB is used as a utility/AoE weapon to compliment the usual D/X and S/X. I leveled with D/P which is pretty easy to do. I feel P/P will have some uses in dungeons where it’s just DPS them away (so you could use #3 skill) but there are other, often better options.

In WvW you don’t really see any P/P as SB is much better for mobility, and in PvP you see it here and there but it tends to be #3 spam as far as I’ve seen.

I see quite a bit of zerker gear in WvW. For example, when I get hit by a backstab that does 6k (regular 2-3k), I know that thief is using either zerker gear or trinkets. Does it make him more effective? Probably. But in that case, he’s a glass cannon and so can die easily if properly handled. I prefer PVT or Valk for survival myself. Whatever floats your boat, I guess

It’s very possible to hit that hard or even harder with a small amount of zerker stuff and a large HP pool. I hit for 6-8k backstabs with 20k HP with my thief.

The gloves and boots are the Human T2 ones, and the hood is the Anonymity Hood that you can pick in creation.

Just finished kitting out my thief, very happy with it.

I’m trying to make a build which has high vitality and has good spike damage i.e. when backstabbing.
I’ve had a look into what equipment and stuff I want, and came up with these stats:

My aim with this is to take it into WvW and also high end PvE so dungeons/fractals.

My questions are:

• What sort of HP pool would I be looking at with 1700 vitality?
• Would I be better off aiming for high toughness?
• What sort of critical chance would I be looking at? I’m intending to have 100% crit out of stealth trait anyway.
• Does critical damage cap at 100% (which would be 250% of normal damage?)
• Which exotic armors give Valkryie stats?

I think there are more pressing issues to be fixed before adding more weapons most people won’t attain.

It worked for me the other day on Gunnar’s Hold.

It looks like Tarnished Silver but I could be wrong.

As the title says, I was unable to pick up the last bauble inside the worm shortcut in Z2, I just clipped through it. This was the only one I need to get after spending about an hour hunting them down in the zone.

A friend and I are looking to take advantage of the free transfers. So far in our Guild Wars career we’ve chosen our servers badly and have ended up on servers that are mainly other languages; Fissue of Woe and Blacktide. Most of the time map chat isn’t in English.

My question is does anyone have or know of a list of servers unofficial nationalities, I saw one from last year but I’d like a more up to date one, or is anyone playing on a server where map chat is almost all in English?
