We want to reward players for playing the map while it is in Beta and give a cool title to represent that you were there during its beta phase. The beta tag will not be there forever as we will make changes to the map to bring it up the level of other conquest maps. The achievements are in for around 3 months, going from an entire off-season into a full active season.
After talking with the team we do agree it will be hard for players to get their Capricorn achievements so we have gone ahead and pinned both Coliseum and Capricorn for the next two weeks. Thank you all for you feedback and we will see you in the mists.

Dear anet, if you want ppl to test a map, in limited time, make a dedicated queue (like “BETA”).
This will prevent ppl to be frustrated (ppl thinking of other trolling in choose map)

Since i don’t play the s3 i can’t say much, but all posts seems to be the exact same of s1 (except the abuse mmr thing) & s2. So it seems nothing have been changed in more than 6 month, after 2 epic season, 999999999 feedback of xp and unxp players.
Guess you can hope in a fix in season 12 more or less, if some player left

the 3rd day of league some ppl reported the MMR exploit problem, they let ppl exploit, take 0 action, and fix it 1 week before end of league
they know the MM is not working, they even said they will mod it for saison 2, but did nothing for now
i’ll won’t even argue of stronghold farm, afker/troller who just deny on purpose other and other “exploit” …
Said that, they should have taken a “fair” decision, remove all badge and reset all “primordial legend” achiev since if not mesuring player skill for LOT of them (i guess good player don’t care and can get back to legendary easy). They didn’t do it in past with rank (rank means nothing), they will not do it now (div/badge means nothing too)
For me it’s a total lack of respect for player who just soloq without ‘abusing’ and well, gw is not the only game arroud so, you have choice too
Rename to “Legendary MMR exploit” or “Legendary amber farmer”
or just remove it for this saison
or just give it to all players who completed amber
the true problem is not player who troll, problem is they know even on 5+ ppl reporting them, nothing will happen.

Matchmaking Changes
The matchmaking system in Season 1 uses a blend of both your current division placement in Leagues as well as your individual matchmaking rating (MMR). This means that you’ll generally get paired with and against players in your division that are of similar skill levels. Unfortunately, what this also means is that from day one you’re going to have difficult matches, and because of the way MMR works in Ranked play, you’ll have a very difficult time maintaining enough of a win-streak to progress through tiers and divisions. This is especially true as you climb into divisions such as Ruby where you can lose points as well as tiers. While this system helps ensure that your matches are always as competitive as possible, it does mean that it’s also more difficult to get to the division where you actually belong based on your skill – for example, as a top tier player, the difficulty of your matches in Amber would actually be fairly close to what you’d experience in Ruby and beyond. After analyzing your feedback, we’ve decided to shift toward having your division standing in PvP Leagues be even more reflective of your personal skill level than it currently is.
Beginning with Season 2, matchmaking for Ranked matches will use your placement in your current league division as your primary matchmaking consideration and pair you against players who are placed in the same point range as you, regardless of the skill level (MMR) of the other people in that point range. While we’ll be using divisions to match you against your immediate opponents, we’ll still use your MMR to place you on teams with similarly skilled players (from your division point range) to help ensure that you’re not forced to play with individuals that are of a much higher or lower skill than you. Ultimately, this means that the new matchmaking changes will make PvP Leagues much more reflective of your actual skill, and each division will be progressively more difficult to compete in.
Your algorithm is not working so unless you change more than some costemic things …

Win StreaksSince the new matchmaking changes may make matches more volatile at the very beginning of the season (since everyone will be starting in the same division), we’re also planning to introduce a “Win Streak System” into PvP Leagues that will help more skilled players climb through early league divisions and get them into the divisions that they belong. On your third consecutive win (and for every win afterward), you’ll automatically earn extra league points toward your division progress for as long as you can keep the streak going. But keep in mind that a loss while on a win streak will reset your win streak status back to zero, and you’ll need to start another win streak in order to begin gaining extra points again.
Let’s speak about soloq only here. Your matchmaking will give you an average of 50% win, so unless you maxi lucky boost 0 = 0 boost. No soloq next saison ?

Shopping for AmbersIn addition to the changes above, we’ll also be adjusting the way that parties are scored in our matchmaking algorithm based on the overall division spread of a team’s makeup. It is important to us that anyone can play with their friends regardless of league standing, but in doing so, we also want to ensure that teams aren’t gaining an unfair advantage in match difficulty based on their rosters. An example of this would be two friends: one is in Diamond and the other is in Amber. For Season 2, these two players will still be able to team up and play together, but they’ll be placed into Diamond level matches based on the highest division player in the party. This means that forming a party with players in a higher division than you will always bring you up to their level for matchmaking and prediction, rather than adjust to compensate for party members at lower divisions. This specific change will go into effect in our next scheduled release (prior to the end of season 1).
Ok so basically you try to fix something at end (2 weeks till end of saison 1). Now the question : so what to all ppl who have abused the system ? nothing ? so the other who just played the ‘fair’ way are stupid ?

We’ve been closely monitoring PvP Leagues since their release this last Tuesday and we’d like to provide an update on where things currently stand. Some of this information is available in other locations, but it’s always good to have everything in one place.
Match Manipulation
There have been reports of players intentionally losing games in an effort to lower their overall matchmaking rating. The idea is that if they lower their rating, their subsequent games will become easier, and they will gain pips more reliably in future win streaks. Regardless of how unlikely this is to actually happen (read on for why), we’re still not cool with players intentionally losing as this is in direct violation of our Code of Conduct.
In the short-term, our customer support team will be investigating reports of this and punishing the behavior accordingly. Please use the “Botting” reporting option to bring these instances to the attention of our team. For a longer-term solution, we’ll be working on improving the in-game reporting system to better handle these types of situations. Chris Clearly has been posting on the topic here.
One more question : what about ppl who troll ? we all got afker or troller at some point (they do it on purpose, i don’t speak about dc but ppl who stop play and just walk arround, trash or afk). You asked to report as bot, nothing seems to happen (and they know that), so they continu and ppl continu to loose pip, any brainstorming, fix or action about that ?

They can’t release skill update cause it’s too complicated (the today update seems more fix than update) …

At this point, for me, and since league are a real pure fail, they should just add a simple limit to pip can loose per day as soloer (like 5 or 10). For sure we all imagine ppl will “grind”, but wait guild farming pug & manipulate system not better and at least, with a simple modification, ppl won’t be stuck forever.
Since lunch of gw2 anet didn’t give a XXX to pvp.

I just got a crash (never got crash before HoT) at the very end of DS event, and i’m really REALLY upset (to not say kittened)

In the past i reported like 5-6 ppl for real exploit or really “stepping over the line” : result not a single reply, not a single action (they are still on my blacklist and since we can see blacklisted ppl, account are still active/used).

AP is a useless thing, used by elitists to artificially measure other players. There should be no other incentive associated with AP farming than those already awarded. I mostly WvW (but have done alot of pve), so my AP is under 10k (as WvW is subpar in the AP department). But I would challenge the notion any of these AP farmers are better at anything in the game simply because they farm AP, thus are entitled to even more things.

If anet want ppl to continue play the game, fix the rng kitten system instead of add useless form of ap farm (like blc or collection revamp). Ppl are kittened out cause even if they play a lot, they could drop nothing and the only ‘goal’ avail atm on game is that pointless sort of ap farm

i’ll explain why you think it’s not accurate or bugged and now fixed.
You played beta this weekend and made some ap.
Since your beta is a clone of your main at the date you created it, you prolly have less ap on it (cause you didn’t do daily on it as exemple).
Now leaderbord is updated with the last +1 or more ap you made.
Sample : main 1000ap / beta 900ap
Sunday : daily on main (1010) then play beta and made 1 ap (901) → you loose position
Monday : daily on main (1020) → return on original position
I’ve said it long time ago and still think, remove useless leaderboard ftw !

What anet do : “more grind”Guild Wars is a really great game, but saying that it has no grind is just…laughable. There are grinds in this game that would make a medieval grain mill jealous.
Mini game like dragonball is not gw² for me, the problem is anet say a lot of things but they made the opposite.
Back to the op, ask arround, lot (but not all) have trouble to do it. Add hard content is way ok for me, but recycle ridiculous mini activity and encourage ppl to play it that way is just … sad …

Anet failed bad with AP from start. They failed more with ‘buy to get ap’ as know as black lion collection. They still didn’t understand after XX thread of QoL and add for xmas boring (they are only) old long activity.
I personnally just thx anet for the respect they have for players trying to ‘push’ them to play the way they want ( = anet want )

Now let speak about the new pro system “collection” : once again look price on tp. The best joke is about Black Lion. 1 collection is arround 1900g. Atm there is “only” 13 to do so …legendary weapons are 100% completely unnecessary to play the game. It’s a luxury item that you can chose to persue as a long term goal. If you don’t have the patience to farm (Some of my guildies have been playing since the game’s release and don’t have a legendary, because they don’t want one), that’s your problem, not ANet’s.
If you want to buy your way through the game, then for sure, you can expect to pay a lot to do so, but the point is, you are not, EVER forced to shell out money. It’s your choice, and yours alone, to pump money in to the game if you don’t have the patience to complete collections/other content over time.
Don’t blame the developers – Whose goal it is to create long term content and objectives for players - for your lack of patience

Atm when you join a party, you can’t instant see if you are with one or more ppl you blocked. You have to check yourself and it’s a little bit annoying.
So have something that identify thoose ppl directly like the name in red or a little icon neer there name would be great imo
I wonder how many people took that completely literally, like this. It seems a bit of an unfair stretch to say “well the item I want is Eternity!” and then complain about the required work for something meant to be a long-term goal like Legendaries were.

I remember on gw2 lunch, anet said “you’ll don’t be forced to do over and over the same thing to get the item you want” and they already failed on that. Lot of players don’t even make 10g/day so imagine how long it take to make a legendary.
Now explain me something : how can you get, for exemple, all black lion collections without farming like a pure no life (and don’t do anything else) or using real money ?
Just to get 1 of them (chaos for exemple), you’ll need arround 1900g (assuming 1 skin is arround 100g atm on tp). Assuming 10g/day is doable for most of player, that will take 10*19 arround 190 days to complete
The real goal of this update is somehow to incite players to buy gems, nothing else.
After the pay to win on some games, anet have made a new concept : pay to get ap and be on kitteneless leaderboad !!!
