Im lagging a bit on my Mac and levelling a new char is a bit meh as guardian or necromancer…..

I did some WvW roaming but not that much. Used to do world boss trains. Did dungeons for the cosmetics, but was LF a bigger guild thats active and did a lot of stuff together. Trained a bit of crafting to get some Ascended pieces. Only got like 60-70?% of map completion
I’m also not afraid of grinding stuff for legendaries and such

I’ve recently got rid of my old windows comp ankitten ow working only from my Mac, and was wondering if it’s worth getting back into this game (have a 80 mesmer) and buy HoT while its on sale. Do you feel like €22 equals the amount of content HoT gives, and is it possible to catch up, and does it really feel like you get stronger or better at something? Is the horizontal progression real?

P.s. How is the player base? bigger? smaller? since the F2P release

Maybe we’d be trying to convert Caithe? IDK yet IF what she was for personal reasons or a greater good, but maybe she’s been corrupted? Just speculating…

I’m enormously fond of Lion’s Arch, and I dream of the day when it’s back to its former glory. I guess if you look at this in realistic terms, suffish and Stramatus are right: If it’s going to happen, the process would take time. After all, Rome wasn’t (re)built in a day.

I see more workers these days, and hey, CrimeDog, that’s one big rock!

To be honest, Emperor August managed to revamp almost all of Rome… In about 41 years, but Lion’s Arch is smaller than the village that Rome was before it became a powerful player in Italy’s battle for power… And considering game time is a lot faster than real life time…. And considering you’re allied with Genius Asura and Charr who know how to build…. It’s surprising they didn’t even finish much of the bridges connecting different parts of LA….

Thanks for the help kolompi, will think about maybe a few other updates, once I unlocked some more traits and maybe see if I can change some stuff with runes
But I’m also pretty sure that I won’t be using some overused standard build as in my opinion, this game has a nice system where you can just play around to find stuff fitting your style ^.^

I’ve never actually bothered with feedback or reflect yet as I’ve never really found some solid info on which skills reflect and how much damage it does…
(I also prefer having phantasms to shattering)
I’m mainly doing dungeons, fractals, world bosses, and sometimes wvw (mainly EOTM, but only doing wvw now because of the tournament)

I do want ascended as I’m already very comfortable with Assassin exotics and want to do something with my lvl 80 other than doing it all again on alts
The yellow salvage kits are rather cheap so I don’t mind using them. I only use BL kits for exotics from fractals (if I ever get them) cause I also need echo’s

But using a yellow kit on light armor doesn’t give me a bigger chance at getting silk?
And I only get silk from salvaging light armors?

Heya everyone,

I recently started making Saphir Light Armor for my mesmer, but I’m literally stunned, and in despair, after seeing how much bolt of silk I need for the Bolt of Damask!!!

So my question is, the best way to farm scraps of Silk to make into bolt of silk? Is it really just to farm Worldbosses and other blue and green gears to salvage with a yellow salvage kit?

Rlly need some advice here as it’s rather overwhelming for a rather new player… (playing 1 month now)

Alright ,got the Bloodlust now, keeping critical hit one though as I’m also fighting a lot of crittable mobs
Are there any runes of my armor that are more recommendable than superior runes of the Mesmer? I’m making Assassin ascended btw so a tiiiiiiny bit more precision, power, ferocity

I don’t mind this system
I’m playing since August this year, but I like having to actually work a bit before you can use strong builds with good traits
Oh and I haven’t bought a single trait yet, and have bout 12 more to go before i got them all I think, maybe 15

I’m playing on Blacktide but I don’t HAVE to wvw with my guildies, so another server is OK too I’m up for guild missions and such, dungeons, open world, just having fun, exchanging stories and advice, and having a blast

So this is my build. I’m working on getting a full Saphir Ascended armor set, and going for berserker ascended accessories
Note: I’ve also started using sword/sword combinations which I like too, but I don;t change my trait set up for it.
Actually only use GS, S/F and S/S, although I’ve got a staff and pistol in my bag at all times

Wasn’t it hinted that there could be more than one Pale Tree? And that that was exactly what Caithe didn’t want the Nightmare Court to know?

Like the thief name and the engineer, though warrior name sounds, in my ears, as a combinations of “ID” and “sin”…Which is a kinda weird combi…

Anyways, my only serious character now is Anyori, Mesmer of the order of whispers, shrouded in secrecy, never showing his face, unless you know me, or when you’re about to die.
