A group and I actually used this strategy for the last boss in AC P3, trying to interrupt when it used the ROCKS FALL DOWN EVERYWHERE move (since NPC is unreliable at times).
Obviously nowadays, most people just stack under the pillar and easily kill the boss but before that strategy was prevalent and after the boss could actually get interrupted (I think there was a bug when AC was first revamped), we tried to kill the boss by getting rid of its defiance stacks and interrupting it when it used the falling rocks move (since its other moves are easy to deal with).
Coordination is needed but it was pretty cool. But stacking is easier
Obviously most bosses you can have everyone dpsing it down so having 1+ people trying to get rid of defiance stacks lowers their dps (usually) so it’s not “optimal” but I could still see it working for a lot of bosses. But like people have said above, it’s the “coordination” that could be the biggest problem.
Primordial Nucleosynthesis [PN] is a new guild recruiting for people who are interested in primarily PvE, running Dungeons, and Guild Missions. We are currently working our way towards Guild Missions and are looking for a core group of people to get the guild kick-started. We do not expect to have a huge amount of members and are focused on having a tight-knit community.
Dungeons:
You do not have to be experienced with dungeons and are only required to be interested in learning the dungeon. We do not focus on “speed-farming” only one dungeon but actually going through most content. That being said, you must be willing to listen and participate as a team.
Guild Missions:
We are working our way towards Guild Missions and those guild commendations are yummy.
Requirements to join:
-Representing in Devona’s Rest server
-Be mature and friendly.
-The willingness to teach AND learn.
-Although level 80 is not a requirement, the higher you are, the more dungeons you have access too (and the easier it is).
-Having some kind of voice communication (currently we just use skype since it suffices) will be extremely helpful.
If you are interested in joining, contact me on these forums or in-game!

Lol, we have the same AH build + main weapons.
I have half knight’s/half berserker’s gear + ALL berserk trinkets (half ascended, which helps).
Personally, having a little toughness when there are a ton of mobs helps. But you want to be dealing tons of damage as well for those bosses where you just dodge most of their attacks.
Basically Crit + AH is really good (and berserker obviously provides crit).
Omnom crit heal food is also very essential as you’re more squishy.

Got like 3 yesterday. They are definitely easy to miss though.
Believe it or not, there is a chance (albeit very low) for people to put thousands and thousands of rares into the Mystic forge and never get an exotic (ridiculous right?). While there is chance (once again very low) to put thousands and thousands of rares into the mystic forge and get an exotic every time. That’s just how RNG works.
LOL. I would be dead.
What about the people who have spent well over 100 keys trying to get one? Do you think it’s fair to them?
Man, I love it when people are like “200 samples isn’t enough.”
Sigh, take at least a basic statistics course before you apply your own rules of “stats.”
Thanks for the statistical analyses with diff. confidence intervals Geo.So, I guess I will be sticking to Master’s Salvage kits and using Black Lion when I get them. Well, that’s just me being lazy figuring out which sigils are worth more, etc.
Now, I’m curious about exotics. I expect to see the same conclusion though.
For the nominal fee of 900g I’ll do that test :P
Hmm, seems like it’s worth it. :P
I have 174/175 (but completed the map) as well. Maybe there’s a jumping puzzle?
Recently did it. However, I was on at non-prime time hours.

Finally beat it after like 10+ times of wiping out. We tried a multitude of strategies but all of them failed but one. In the end, I was on full support duty (level 80 Guardian) for Grast. It wasn’t really support for my team, it was mainly just for Grast, lol.
-Healing: Used staff to heal Grast (both 2 and 4 skill), and the Healing Breeze to heal him as well, and “Save Yourselves” for the regen + team support
-Stability: Hallowed Ground utility skill, “Stand your Ground” shout before the rocks fall.
Even with this build, it took a couple of tries. My other teammates were mostly just doing damage.
We barely won with only 2 people remaining at the end.
Although we still beat the boss, I think there needs to be changes to Grast. I believe the boss mechanics are fine as long as Grast is reasonably reliable.
Suggestions:
1. Grast doesn’t go Leeroy Jenkins towards the CR as soon as he is revived. It was quite annoying that after every time we wiped, he started at 50% health as opposed to 100%.
2. Giving Grast only one move. The protection shield. Too many times is he “charging” up his normal attack right before Rocks fall, giving him no time to put the shield up. CR seems to have less health anyways, so extra damage from Grast is unnecessary. Either get rid of his normal attacks or give him a faster attack that doesn’t “charge.”
