Mine was a different issue, the actual normal to CE upgrade didn’t work.

I’m still amazed that a GM can’t login and spawn items and mail them to you. Didn’t anyone think giving them some useful GM tools might be a good idea?

Or did they just create 2 levels of account, player and full admin.

You don’t give admin accounts to regular CS people.

BBB is a private organization that is paid for by it’s members, they won’t do anything.

Absolutely true. The game itself isn’t too bad, but waiting 2 weeks and counting to get my CE items. Gestapo level forum mods and more and more sarcasm from the CS staff has soured me to the point where I won’t play the game any more. There are other fun games to occupy me. Borderlands 2, and Torchlight 2. The only reason I hang out here is trying to get my CE items and ticket answered. Then I will be gone from GW2 and ANYTHING Anet produces in the future.

What kind of customer service is this?!?

i have got nother response from areanet support the wait wasnt as bad as people have mentioned like weeks and over 3 days so im happy to say that now i just need my account unlocked to play again but i did hear back from the team gives me more hope.

I’d say don’t get to happy until they actually fix your problem.

I paid $60 for a regular version of the game and $150 for a collectors edition. As of this moment I have not received any of my CE items. I am not receiving what I paid for and they have made no effort to correct it. I’ve had a ticket in 2 weeks. I never understood why apologists (yes, you) give gaming companies a free pass. In any other industry this would be false advertisement and best and at worst fraud.

And yes, they have an obligation to give us support if the problem is on their end. If they refund me the over of $300 I have spent on this game total I will leave and they will never hear from me again.

Well, we know for a fact that they are using NCsoft support atm. Mainly because hundreds of people have received replies relating to Aion and not GW2.

The only thing we can do is give it time. After all, its a no sub game, so we cant expect full MMO support. Especially when theyre relying on the RMT trading post to generate revenue.

We paid full price, we CAN expect full support. Their manning issues are not our problem.

I’ve been getting this vibe too, I got warned for bumping a post without a meaningful reply but I did write a 4 paragraph meaningful reply about why I bumped the post, its as if the mod who warned me just saw the word bump and jumped the gun on my infraction v_v

Yeah, not impressed with the mods. I had a thread deleted as a “callout” thread because it mentioned GaileGray in the title. Even though it was a direct response to a questions asked of me by her in a thread that was locked before I got the chance to reply.

I’m starting to think they are outsourced and really can’t operate outside their regidly defined script.

Who would like to see a lottery system ingame ran by arenanet? It will act as a great gold sink as high participation is almost guaranteed. In addition, it can give that excitement feeling, which will increase the game longevity and make a couple lucky players’ day.

The idea would be that the jackpot will increase with tickets purchased. For example, If 1 ticket cost 1silver, then the jackpot will increase by 80copper(20% will act as gold sink) for every ticket purchased/entered.

There can be a couple different type of lotto. For instance, for people who likes to go big and against the odds, they can enter the server/global server lotto, while others who is content with a smaller reward in exhange for better odds can enter limited slot lotto, eg: 100slot,1000slot,etc.

What do you guys think of the idea?

With all respect Gaile, you saying the “other” big MMO doesn’t have a restoration feature is just PLAIN WRONG. Very, very, very wrong. I’ve had two friends hacked and I guarantee they both have characters & items gone from the incident.

Yeah, Gaile did a pretty thorough job of putting her foot firmly in her mouth with that statement.

EDIT: Unless she tries to save face by saying she’s speaking of Lineage or some other giant Asian MMO that most American’s don’t really think about.

I’ve noticed some strange happenings with my account name too. Originally it was Archangel.1603, now it’s changed to Archangel.1604 both in game and on the forum. But when applying the CE key it still tries to add .1603 to my name.

It looks like somehow my account is “fractured” and parts of it seem to be using two different numbers.

I’m sorry that there aren’t a lot of people doing DE’s when you are, but to head a post with “your prediction is coming true” just isn’t accurate and will cause an instant negative response. Instead, you should have said “My prediction is coming true on my server”…

I don’t know how many people play overseas, but I guess my question for you is were DE’s very popular and all of a sudden died off on your server, or have they always been kind of slow? On the servers here, the issue you’re seeing is just not happening, at least, from my perspective.

There are fewer people in the low level zones, and that is something that isn’t going to get better, it WILL get worse.

I know some will not like this, but I’ve been playing MMOs for something like 17 years. I’ve played pretty much every major one at least a little.

After playing them that long it gets pretty easy to see where the problems are going to be, especially when they begin manifesting early.

And some still seem to think the 4 timezones in the US are indicative of the other 20 timezones around the world.

P.S. Isle of Janthir is one of the unofficial Oceanic servers.

Understandable. On my server (Jade Quarry), at US prime time (and several hours before and after), there is absolutely no problem with DE’s. Can’t speak from 6AM – 3PM EST because I’m working or 12AM – 5 AM EST because I’m sleeping.

But honestly, to complain that no one is available to complete DE’s during non US prime time is just- well- silly. What do you expect? Most people go to school and work… how on earth are there supposed to be people online to complete DE’s if they’re unable to play because they’re experiencing real life?

So the game should only cater to US prime time? That’s limiting your customer base…even in the US.

And before anyone gets any bright ideas, I’m an American currently living overseas.

after the initial millions of players zerg through the same zones-starting weeks it is natural that we will have less and less players on maps. But I think this is a good thing. Atm, DE are really, really easy (apart from the giant zone monster events which probably require rather a lot of partakers), so I´d say having only a few people working really hard – even playing in a group/party – for DE completion is the way these events are actually intended to be. Instead of 300 people bashing 1-5 wildly.

So by this train of thought as the game ages it’s going to be harder and harder for people to level as quickly as previous generations.

Also, many of the Champs require more than 5 people at level.

And as you pointed out….just forget the zone end boss.

On Orr most events actually have too much people playing them. Scaling only works up to a certain point, resulting in 50-100 people bashing 20 monsters to death in mere seconds.

Make it viable for high-levels to go back to lower level areas. I’d love to kill anything other than Undead and Icebrood but at this point it’s just worth it to go to, for example, a lvl 40 zone.

I think that’s one of the problems, they demonstrably have not delivered on one of their “promises”. Old content is not rewarding. Players will go where the most bang for their buck is, and right now that’s a million people in Orr. Until other areas give equal rewards…noone will spend a lot of time in them. They may pass through for completion…but that will be one shot.

Also, to everyone telling me “I haven’t seen any problems”

It doesn’t matter if you have seen the issue, I have.

The interesting thing about the DE’s is they scale according to how many people there are around them. So even if there is just one person around, they can complete a DE with the help of the NPC’s. I have done that before in the early hours of the morning before most people are awake and playing.

And what class are you playing?

I’d certainly like to see you taking on 4 mobs with a mesmer solo. And those NPCs…yeah, they’re all face down in the dirt.

Idea: allow players to open a bot reporting window. If 8 players report then the offender is prompted with a CAPTCHA entry. If they fail to enter correctly in 10 minutes they are logged off and require another CAPTCHA entry to logon. A ticket is then submitted for GM review.

And it would take about 10 minutes until people started abusing this to harass people.

Dyes are NOT account-bound, and are traded quite often on the Trading Post.

A lot of people are not happy about Dyes being per character. I suspect it’s designed to get us to buy more dye packs in the gem store.

I also suspect in reality it will have the opposite effect.

I’ve been fighting a similar battle. The website won’t accept my CE key so I can’t upgrade my account. The CS guy said he reviewed my account and says it’s not a CE account so I can’t get the items…

I swear I wanted to reach through the internet and slap him…the whole issue is the website won’t allow me to upgrade.

After clicking submit on the first page when trying to submit my CE key I get this.

Server Error
502 – Web server received an invalid response while acting as a gateway or proxy server.
There is a problem with the page you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed. When the Web server (while acting as a gateway or proxy) contacted the upstream content server, it received an invalid response from the content server.

Of course I don’t expect it to work, even when I could get beyond that I got the Serial Key Overlap error…even though I have received none of my in game CE items.

Still get the “Serial Code Overlap” error when registering my CE, that is of course when the registration page actually works at all.

This is completely unacceptable CS. I will not be spending another dime on this game or anything else put out by these companies.

I agree with this. I refuse to buy any Dye packs from the gem store until this happens. The same goes for appearance items from the store. I’m not buying them on a per character basis.

No, this is a false statement. where did you hear that?

The BBB is not a government agency (most people think it is). It’s a private organization paid for by it’s members. It has no regulatory authority and generally will not do anything to paying members.
