Well, this answers a lot of my question. Thank you very much all of you.
Goodmorning,
it’s been more than a year since I logged in the last time on GW2.
I always loved the game, but the lack of variety of builds (full berserker each class) in PVE, forced me to take a break and go play elsewhere.
Now after a year, I’m asking you:
- is every class building full berserk yet in PVE?
- are other builds like Healing Power based viable?
- is WvW still worth playing?
Thanks in advance.
I see, then full healing hele will never fit this meta. Thanks for the asnwers.
I meant PvE as FotM and Dungeons mainly, with some world events.
I always liked the idea of being supportive, and while some months ago I used to play just dps (because of the meta as you said), I hoped that the last patch would improve other playstiles in PvE.
Can you explain why you think that?
Ye, I forgot to mention PVE.
Hi there,
I’m wondering if a full healing power elementalist would be viable in PVE with the last patch.
What do you think?

And what about use 4 of them in the mystic forge?
Goodmorning everyone,
I have a dozen of exotic items in my chest and I was wondering when, in your opinion, I should salvage or sell them. For example, I always sold exotic with a value of 1g or more, while I salvaged exotic with a value minor than 1g.
Is that a good choice?
You can’t have 2 of the same anyway afaik, so one of each? If you want 2 Berzerker earrings, you will need to get 1 offensive and 1 defensive anyway
Oh, this is a light in my mind. Ascended items are unique and I can’t have two with the same name?
P.s: I just checked, you’re right. Involontarly you helped me a lot, now I know that anyway I’ll have to buy both slots accessories
(edited by Aron.8429)
Apart from advices about my personal equipment, I’d like to know if +4 in power, precision, vitality and toughness worth an ascended slot.
Hey there.
I really can’t choose which ascended accessory should I buy for my illusions mesmer. I’ll explain you why:
mine is a phantasm berserker build, power, precision and critical damage are, of course, my priorities.
I looked at infusion slots, offensive and defensive ones, and I realized that, in my opinion, I will never notice those +4 power, precision, vitality or toughness attributes when in those I’ll reach 2000-3000 points.
In the other hand, condition damage and healing power would be more useful since they are statistically 1/100 – 1/50 of main attributes.
Why should I care having 2000 + 4 powers when I can have 300 + 4 healing power? In the first case the increase is 0,2%, while in the second case it would be 1,3%.
Just tell me if I’m mad or somtehing, but I really cannot understand.
kitten it. At this point I have no idea about sigils.
I’m stille a bit confused about sigils.
Do you know if sigil of force and accuracy apply to phantasms?
Apart from traits, I’m really wondering what sigils I could use. I’ve seen classic sigils of force as AoE sigils of fire. These last ones are good imo, what would you choose?
So ruby orbs on armor set would be a better choice, got it.
I tried to sacrifice all the points I had on Illusions in order to maximize Inspiration and improve Domination and Dueling a bitò I think this might be a better option. What do you think?
Hey everyone!
I always had a classic berserker build playing only PvE (dungeons and FotM), but now I’d like to change in order to focus my build on phantasms.
I was thinking to keep my berserked items and change my traits in order to maximize phantam’s damages.
I’d just like you to tell me if this build would be viable and would you change.
Moreover I’m not quite sure about scholar runes. Just share your ideas

1 laurel for 3t6 is way too inconvenient imo.
I’ll try with the mystic toilet then gaining gold through dungeons.
bump, no advices at all?
I’d like to know from the communty what’s, in your opinion, the best wat to obtain t6 expect from buying them from the Black Lion.
Some people suggested me to use the mystic forge, others to drop them from champions or buying them with laurels.
Just give me some advice please
OP
Let me get this right, you Stated and Confirmed that you have 0zero Experience with Rangers yet you made a Spirit Build and call it OP?
As a Future Encouragement, Just because you made a build and it ’works Wonders" for you, calling it OP is Pre-Mature.
Though I will give you Credit for liking your build but again as a Future reminder, keep the word “OP” ’to the Eyes of the Beholder".
By the way,
Good Build
Yes I have 0 experience in rangers, but I have 3 characters at the 80 and general experience since day 1; I’m not saying I’m an expert at this game, but since I always used to play supportive professions, I saw that spirits buff are kitten good. I’m not saying they are OP, I use that word just to state that “It’s ultraperformant, I like it”.
I didn’t want to say it’s overpowered, that’s my bad.
Anyway, thanks for your comment
You have Vigorous Training selected with no pet that benefits from that trait selection. If I may make a suggestion, depending on whether or not that trait choice is a fluke or if you meant to have moas/birds selected, if you didn’t, you can always drop 5 point in Beastmastery and pick them up in Wilderness Survival.
More dodges never hurts.
Yes, as supportive character, I wanted to give my team more buff I could. I knew that Moas were supportive, I took that trait to improve his buff.
First off you made your build in spvp section on the site vs pve…. so i can’t see what armor you want.
Hm… you didn’t choose/show your 2nd pet…but since your using number10 in BM i want to say your going to use a Red Moa that is good.
You might also want to look at Dwayna 6set with a change in in Nature Magic of 5 -> 3.
In Marks you might want to look at number 6/3 i find that might help more then a cripple in x situation but /shrug slot in as needed here.
With all this please take into account even with the HP increase Spirits are still very vulnerable to AoE in pve more so in boss fights. With that you might want a axe with a sup water rune (30% on crit to aoe heal).
I was lazy and I had no time to choose my pve armor, so I wanted some advices only about traits, but yes, the armor is important as well so I’m editing the link just now, considering your advices.
I saw the spirits are vulnerable against AOE, and I really didn’t thinka bout water sigil; I totally agree with you, that will help.
Thanks for the reply, infact I forgot to mention that I only play PvE and Dungeons, and I want to use warhorn cause of its beautiful skill vision effect
I edited the link with the amulet I forgot.
The idea of this build was to support my team with spirits, some boons I can give and 5x might which my cougar can grant. Eventually I wanted to keep the enemies crippled, chilled and vulnerable with my weapon skills and the 20% condition duration I got.
Maybe I could lower my beastmaster traits in order to add some points in other traits. Do you have any clues?
Hey what’s up?
I’d just like to know what you think about this build I made:
I have no experience with ranngers, I just leveled one to 80 and I’m thinking about the build. I love spirits, theur buffs are pretty OP imo.
Feel free to destroy my build if it’s not good as I think.

I’m glad how this topic has been filled with very useful informations and sepcific stats!
Through all these posts, I think I won’t go for a full healing power ele, but I’ll try to be less healer than thought and be more protective, cc and dps when I can.
Ah kitten , I wanted a staff healer so bad..
Let me ask something else:
What if I wanted to build a full CC elementalist? Could this be good?
Thank you very much for your in-depht explanation.
I already knew that healers in gw2 are not others MMO healers, so I’d like to support my party with sustain and protection, and with DPS and CC as well when the situation requires it.
After reading your posts, I think I’ll go with healing power runes, Dwayna’s I guess, and I’ll see if the build fits with the game mechanics. I mainly play PVE, so I really hope this will work out.
A quick questions for you all
I love healing classes in every game, and I was wondering if an Elementalist focused on healing (full healing power) fits in this game.
Can I decently heal my party? And if not, is there any class that’s better in this?
