This needs to happen. You can’t play GW2 on the Mac without setting everything to medium/low, and having to restart after so many polygons stretch out through the screen to the point you can’t see anything anymore.

The problem with Fiery Great Sword is that is an item that someone else can use. Their usage of it could unbalance the game.

But I agree that really it’s that or Tornado, which is great for cliff fights or holding points. Besides that… dunno, Elementals are okay but meh…

I’d love it if there was a new Elite called, say, Storm. That depending on your attunement, lays down on the target area a storm (like glyph of storm only that lasting longer, being more damageful). I’d totally use that. (I would not give away Mist Form, Arcane Blast or Lightning flash for Glyph of Storms – but I have nothing like it on the Elite section).

Staff Air is one of the weakest xD.

I mean, I do find use for Gust (pushing off an edge a completely static target, lol), #4 for swiftness, and of course the beautiful and amazing Static Field.

Electrical Surge is very weak. The description of Air attunement is “very high damage” but that is so not true xD. Make Electrical surge a higher cooldown yet very powerful thunder strike.

As for the autoatack, is fine in DPS, specially with 2 opponents (hits first, bounces off second, comes back to first, dealing twice as much as damage on your main target).

Hi there! Tarnished Coast is usually referred to as the “unofficial RP server”. If you are looking to do PvE and PvP, you don’t need to be in TC to be part of a TC guild

Hey there!

It’s been two years now but the game keeps getting more unplayable as time goes by and more updates get in. Also the longer the playtime is.

It may be only on my two computers, but I am guessing this is a 2-year-old known issue.

Basically, some objects polys extend to infinite blocking the screen. It’s funny you can target them as a valid surface, though.

Anyways, it’s impossible to explain without screenshots, so here they go.

On my case, this bug occurs on:
MacBook Pro (Late 2008)
iMac 27’ (2012)
On Mountain Lion, Mavericks and Yosemite.

Pretty sure it’s the game and not the OSs and models though.

P.S: New idea: Adopt-A-Dev-On-Mac – Make devs play on the Mac version for 4 weeks. You’ll see then how unplayable it is :P

I wanted to report this. They were killing people and built a ballista in citadel territory to hit NE tower. I could only get one shot before all of them jumped off.

Guild Wars 2 has a simply beautiful set of music. Which I remember enjoying on the first few months. But for the past 6-9 months I’ve been more into WvW and PvP. Specially WvW. And It’s just the same three tracks over and over.

I feel like we are missing out here. Is there any chance more PvE songs could be played for background music on WvW?
Maybe change it up a bit as you go in deeper to enemy territory, far from your spawn?
Different music for defending than attacking a building?

If anything, music can be an incentive and even a reward on certain moments of a game.

Anyway, that’s all. Keep it up!

P.S: I know it wouldn’t be your intention to “lower the value” of songs meant for specific parts of the game. Although on the other side, most of us will never hear them again. So! Quick ideas:
The Seraph, great music when defending a well-reinforced tower (meaning: it is an important fight).
Bear’s Spirit, great ambiance music.
A Land Restored, good jumping puzzle music.
Farren’s Theme, great “in your borderland corner” music.
The Saga of the Norn, great taking Stone Mist castle music <= You’ll fight to death with this background music.
Raven Speaks, great defending Stone Mist castle music. <= You’ll defend to death with this background music.
The Vigil Goes to War, borderlands ruins music.
Promenade of the Gods, well-into-enemy territory music.
Fallen Comrades, music after escaping large fight when most of your allies died? Can you guys track that? :P Stuff like these = ultimate immersion.
Here be Dragons, defending your natural keep in Eternal Battlegrounds music.
Tyria Awaits, leaving your border corner music.
Heritage of Humanity, successfully saving your SMC or natural keep (I love music as a reward, more than experience or shinies).

It’s clear by now that porting is not an option. I would love to be able to play this on my Mac, bootcamping to “Malfunctioning and Unintuitive OS” is a nightmare. Guild Wars 2 is my favorite game of all times by now.

FA can you push north on TCBL please so we have a chance to reset one keep on TC instead you take the easy tower and defend with 3 acs. Push hills or north towers/camps. We will push as well os we make TC defend.

Had to pop that tag! A small coordinated team is able to take on double of non-coordinated numbers. So yea, to fight it back, you gotta coordinate too to win. Was fun though! I revived that supervisor like three times.

After a lot of chasing, I found the responsible for the endless trail of Choco Cookies Trays along Dragonbrand Borderlands last night.

Once I did, I took a picture with the fellas see attached.

I like the idea, but should be way less… It sounds awfully grindy. I play WvW a lot, but I am not playing all day. Gathering that much WXP without grinding puts me in a lot of disadvantage, even if I may be more skilled than my buffed opponent.

I like the idea, again. Something to strive for. But don’t make it 50 per stack! That’s just nuts.

Hello there!

I have to say I love the controls on the Mac version. I can actually play better with the Magic Trackpad than the mouse (say that on a PC!).

However, the Mac version, is in the end a port using Cedega Transgaming, which essentially is Wine. It will always run awfully slower, while on Mac should actually run faster. On Windows (bootcamping) I get twice the FPS with over double settings (medium-high). The Mac version is just sluggish, it freezes whenever I rotate the camera, and there is virtually no other setting I can lower to make it work.

The port is clearly not working for us. It’s GW2 for Windows, wrapped up to run on Mac.

Companies like Maxis are now making native versions of their games for the Mac, like their latest game SimCity. Now, GW2 as an MMO has many years to go. Will we ever see a native Guild Wars 2 Mac version?

I wouldn’t speak for everyone. I think that’s actually fine if you are trying to filter out potential guilds to join.

Yea, just had a blast at TCBL on those Zerg vs Zerg with CD. It feels so weird to fight Crystal Deserts though! I used to be a CD. Then I took an arrow on the knee.

I agree on that. It would be really fun to have important stat buffs. Sure, not to the point those affected become a tanky cannon, but definitely make up for the lack of numbers. Maybe increased ressing speed? On tight teams like we run, res speed would really make a difference. Maybe it even motivates more players to stay instead of leaving when they see the Outmanned buff on themselves, helping gain traction in the border.
