You realize you’re crying over one necro build that ofc DS ele can hard counter? It’s one build while ele really only has 2 viable builds left for this meta. There’s always going to be a counter build to another. You take away or revamp DS and ele goes down the drain yet again for this meta. Easy way to fix this… dun play cele necro in a 1v1 vs DS ele. Just like you dun wanna play DS ele vs a straight dps class. Ele has their own hard counter builds; get over it that your cele necro is just not one of those.

Why didn’t you wait just a little bit longer, Gaile?! People sold all of their mats to buy stuff for the shoulders, so prices were way down. Now they’re going back up so fast Q.Q Plus, The achievement reconfigure means nothing if you won’t make the ciders craft-able. Still gonna be kitten loads of money after they stop dropping for wintersday.

Not to mention that noobs can even get a pip w/o winning bc they got matched too high on “accident”.

You can beat Vale Guardian with exotic, but you’ll have no room for a mess up. The others… Not so much.

I agree. I’ve saved up since the beginning of HoT announcement about new legendaries just so I could fast track on Astralaria; sadly, I had to wait for what seemed like FOREVER just to get everything collected. It kind of put a damper on everything, but it was actually nice to have something to actually do quest wise for a legendary other than just farming senselessly.

I’d like to play a paragon kitten . Put some of those pretty spears to use than just under water. The race I would like to play would be that guild of assassins that you run into during your story line. Sayeh Al’Raihd or something was her name.

And they already introduced Hylek and Krait as killable AI. They could incorporate it, but I just don’t see it happening because of how much work it would take. Quaggan… more probable. They have the Charr and others because it was a continuance from GW1 lore. As TehPwnerer said, it will most likely be a GW1 race that interacted with our storyline.

I do agree about a new heavy armor profession though. And they will be adding new legendaries… hopefully.

They gave us 4 guild tabs. Not only 1. If you want awful amounts of influence then buy the commendation letters.

Can you still put that auto loop on your heal skill, so it doesn’t count you as afk?

I wouldn’t mind buying the Black Lion Keys if the chests gave more than one scrap at a time. They make it a point for you to keep spamming keys just to get 10 scraps for one gold ticket. Rather boring.

6/6 runes with torch mes = 25 stacks ez. Outside of PvP (WvW) you can stack with condi duration sigils/food buffs. It’s slightly unfair, but bring more condi removal.

Can you not buy the Sovereign weapon skins anymore?

Any way to make money off of people. Sounds about right. The only weapon sets they have gotten right from GW1 were the destroyer weapons, annnd they were ugly as heck then too. Just implement dye able weapons, and be done with “copying” GW1 weapons. And why choose Zodiac skins? That’s a Canthan weapon… Something GW2 knows nothing about.

I do enjoy the horn. Be prepared for so much kitten blowing jokes. Fun times lie ahead. And the weapon skins suck. Doesn’t even come close to GW1 Zodiacs. Please do not recreate tormented weapons.

Dungeons are just another form of GW1 speed clears. They are just simply using what they learned in Anet’s Guild Wars game.

Because you have what is called a 2 man kick. If you want to have control, then make your own party. OR you could not pay people. Omg, really? You can just choose to do the dungeon yourself? No way!

You would have to get a massive boycott to gemstore items. This is why they gave you the option to transfer in game gold to gems; even though, it’s a very low profit. You will always have the people whom are willing to pay whatever the price to have their pixels look sexy.

I’ve been waiting for a heavy caster to be released that would help with this. You can still roll a support type build, but yes, it’s not GW1 QQ. There are ways to counter no matter what class/team build you will play even though you don’t rely on a healer to keep your lord alive. For instance, in PvP you have someone hit the base door to draw off people from Graveyard, so you can cap it. It’s not at all like GW1, but it still has a few mechanics. I’m just sick of point captures. All you do is run some bunker build, and you auto win for that point every time. Especially, if you have communication to call your team back to collapse and kill the opposers.

I just wish for Anet to incorporate actual team playing for some other objective than button mashing to win.

Anet doesn’t control the Gem store. Just the content. Take it up with NCsoft. Plus, if they were to implement this, they would lose major profit which, in turn, would cut back on any new content being released.

Dueling has already been implemented in a custom arena someone made. The match never started, and all you would see were 1v1s. Guaranteed you had a troll decide to zerk in every now and then. Only way to duel would be to take it to PvP and honor 1v1 like the good ’ole days.
I do support this though. Would make the trolls shut up when they get beat.

First of all , thanks to the people who are reading this,I maybe got some new views on some different topics for you that maybe are worth thinking about.

First of all , I were really hyped for this game and after 1-2 month I was disappointed that this leaks of some core elements of gw1 , since they promised to keep everything cool about gw1;) but i came back for some time and I am playing a bit at the moment but the game still needs some changes in my opnion so lets start :

This wont be a order for what is most important coming first I feel like everything is important so my first topic:

1)Combos
1.1)Combo fields and finisher

I played yesteday with a friend who is for some time lvl 80 now so i called as warrior that he should give me a fire field for my leapfinsiher and he said “why”?

I was really shocked that a lvl 80 person doesnt know how the combination system works and thats a thing where you should work on , start early on to tell people what a combo field is , how to use them and whats the result.

I was thinking maybe to highlight the fields with a green or blue border that people in combat actual can see if there is something or not cause we all know if you are in a large fight there are Many partical effects ! .

1.2) Combos in generll:

So if people use them they should get rewarded for doing so , right now it doesnt feel right because some of the combos are just simply to weak . They should get buffed a little bit more that it actual feel good if you use them.

1.3)Combos because we playing 2 builds which are matched for each other:

In gw1 we had actual team build – you play earth shacker warrior , I play blast ele , we get a enegery drain mesmer and a support , ust to give you a little example . So the warrior called for knowdown , the ele and mesmer bursted the target in the same time and a meteor came down for double knowdown , this was a great combat play with your team mates but in gw2 we dont need to this , why ? Actually cause you can finsih every content of the game just by spamming your skills on cd and because most of the game 98% is to easy . I am missing the option to create team builds , that clases are working better together if they play xx and yy ! . I hope you know what i mean cause else i will go more in detail!

2)Safe and Load Builds!

We had this in gw1 and it created again the envioment for Buildwars , creating uniq builds for different parts of the game . Since we need to pay for change our builds doesnt mean that there cant be a option to quick change them . Hey i got 1g in my pocket ,so why dont let me change my build right now!?

3)Minigames
3.1)Playing with friends and guild members?

Gw2 is a game where we want to play together but since 1 year we all miss to compete sactum spirit , keg brawl and all other minigames with our friends , why the hell arent we allowed to join as group ? There should still be some kind of matchmaking that since you just could gather up against randoms , but like in keg brawl there isnt really a otpion to play unfair as team . there must be a solution to this problem

3.2)Huge Tournamets against your own server and others:

Gw1 had once in a year a event called snowball MAT.This was a event where you joined a tournament in the minigame snowball arena as a group of 8 people from your guild. You represented you guild and fought about glory and good prices , everyone i knows remember this one and feel bad about not being able to have such a good time in gw2 . I mean this is just sad because actually this would improve the guilds and again the fun and teamplay !

4)Hardcore mode:

Since I said earlier is gw2 simply to easy.Most of the contant you spam your skills and thats it . Maybe you have some tatics like , ball on this enemie ( talking about dungeons ) or something else but it really doesnt feel hard. Ofc a lot of this problem is because anet still doesnt got a good balance between the clases like the most groups need something special and it wont be a ingi or necro (hahah ) so there is aswell work to do but a hardcore mode is something really missing.

If you played ele as a support class in PvP, you would realize that having a perma summon would literally kill the balance. The water summon does mass heals. Earth has mass snare. Fire does burning and dps. Air has blind and critical strikes. The “until killed” part does sound legit though.
Should try using tornado more in PvP. The whole object is to contest circles so as to gain/deny points. Throw them off the cap point.
Plus, every summon has a cooldown. I would suggest asking for maybe 5-10 seconds on the recharge after your summon dies, or it is unfair to every other classes summoning skills.

Could you possibly maybe should copy your GW1 PvP technique? And the targeting system. Maybe you could actually work on your PvP for a change. Period… Maybe an Alliance Battles? JQ? FA? GvG? Something other than capture the points where all you need is an AoE build to simply stand in a circle, pushing people out somehow, denying points. Very lazy. Should stop nerfing classes and instead fix the structure so that people actually would make new builds to counter with. Just wondering. Kthnx

EoE lfg FoWsc. In some places they did well with lore, but I wholeheartedly support this. Especially, Cantha fotm. Except for Tyria, I would rather see us killing the Mursaat or Prince Rurik again.

Just kind of annoying that most weapons with effects are ugly colors. Plus, I’d like to look better than the next guy/gal with my same weapon. Creativity is a minimum in this game now Q.Q I do agree with weapon effects, but I’d settle just for different colors atm.

WTBuy an awesomely colored Foefire’s Essence, or even a sexy green-ish glowing greatsword. Maybe one of every color? Same colors gets really boring. I can’t be a green power ranger with no pretty green glowing weapons Knthx bye

sPvP is a joke. WvW has gone stale with no additional content, bug fixes, refinements, or develpment of the game mode, so we the players invented our own game mode since the dev team is too incompetent to do so for us.

You may have “invented” you’re own content, but it’s messing with the actual gameplay that Anet intended.

Show some respect yourself. It’s called an opinion for a reason, and show some respect for our WvW content.

I’m sorry if I sound condescending again, Saiyr, but the topic of this thread was entitled “GvG Showdown”; therefore, I can pretty much voice an opinion over the internet about GvG. I mean it is the internet, yanno? You would experience what GW2 meant to be GvG in their new arenas, since it’s PvP and all, AND you wouldn’t deny people their points in WvW.

I’m just asking you to stop messing with the WvW mechanics for other players. There’s a reason it’s called World vs World instead of Guild vs Guild. Take it to PvP since it actually is Player vs Player instead of Player vs Player vs Environment. I may not support your ways of GvG, but stop screwing with actual gameplay for the rest of the players. There’s a reason they came out with solo arenas. Pit your button mashing skills against each other in there instead of WvW.
There’s a reason for tPvP, and as to why Anet is making it their little “child” in this game. WHy do you think they pit groups of alleged “guild” members against each other to get signed off by real Esports sponsors? I really don’t care as to how you all view GvG in GW2, but at least take it to PvP.

Find a new name for GvG. Call it Zerg v Zerg. You can’t call a guild number one just because they were better button mashers than the latter. Try making a custom arena in tPvP. At least there you will have a controlled environment with an actual objective in the midst. Maybe then we GW1 GvG players will stop pointing out the flaws in your gameplay mechanics. You’re trying to incorporate something into a new game, but you’re just making it worse. You’re “ranking” system is flawed as all get out. You should take a few pointers from GW1, yanno? The birth game to GW2. Hence the same name, right? AT least GW1 GvG took real skill/strategy/know how/positioning. Quit trying to remake something that was already invented, and not to mention perfected. Stick to the basics. Maybe then Anet will see what potential adding GvG to PvP will have. Try actually molding the GW2 GvG after GW1. You will actually have a starting place then. All I see are a bunch of tryhards whom missed out on their gold trim in gw1, so now they think they can just remake the concept of it all. Try again, please.
