So much for the bag/bank slot sale!!!

As a quick aside. Gems in the currency exchange are finite. You may buy gems with real money to your hearts content, but if you don’t put any of them gems into the currency exchange the currency exchange’s stock of gems never changes.
P.S. Your welcome, search feature is your friend, Dev tracker is your friend.
So where is all the gem supply come from? Obviously someone buys gem and sell them for in game gold, else there will be no supply. Unless you think there is a conspiracy theory.
I think you just experienced a severe brain fart. Gems are unlimited. They don’t require to be bought and sold.
Gems are not unlimited. There is a set amount of gems in the store, as explained by its designer. Once those gems are gone, if no one purchases more then there will be no more gems. Period.
The gem prices are rising because more people are turning gold into gems, and there are not enough gems entering the market to offset the gem loss, thus a increase in price. When prices fall, it’s players turning gems into gold. kitten pretty easy to understand.
……………………
Also, you’d be surprised what people pay. One of our members has dropped well over $1000 on this game so far. You see Legendaries selling all the time on the “shady” sites for $400-1000, literally daily.
For some people, that amount of cash is chump change.
Apparently it was because people were using it to deposit baubles while in the super adventure box and thereby bypassing the bag upgrade system and 500 bauble limit without ever needing to leave to use a city bank (Correct me if I’m wrong but that’s the rumour I heard).
Close, but no.
It was simply a way for Gold Sellers to bypass the entire bag system.
Let’s paint a picture. You’ve got 50 gold sellers, all out in “the field” working. They are part of a XYZXLKDF guild, constantly using the Vault Transport to easily bring their loot back to the vault without having any downtime farming.
Just like the last update, which prevented guild vault access for 72 hours upon a new character joining a guild. The Vault is the key to wide spread farming efforts.
Sucks for everyone else, but ever since the price of Diamonds skyrocketed, and the price of Gold went down…. ANet will need to keep fighting. (I.E. Currently its cheaper, by 66%, to buy gold then it is to buy Diamonds from Anet, even counting the conversation rate to diamonds from gold)
Warrior/Elementalist/Mesmer.
All 3 answers have been given prior, and what’s even more amusing is the OP is one of the above classes.
I’ve had a absolute kitten of a time catching a Elementalist, forget about Warriors, and of course Mesmers are absolutely annoying as heck.
Unknown simply means they were in stealth when they hit you with whatever.
It’ll say the same for any other class in stealth via mesmer/thief buff.
In the first SS you can even see the target using Cloak and Dagger, which is our stealth attack skill. (If it hits, you get put into stealth)
Learn the classes!
This has been covered in half a dozen threads I know of, but I’ll restate what IMO is the major problem. In WvW a thief can chain stealth and prevent a point from flipping, with no way for you to break it. Including spamming AOE throughout the entire circle.
No they cant.
Assuming SR, it’s as simple as blasting the circle with AoE’s… which apparently you are kitten as hell if you cant kill a thief inside a circle standing there. (Especially considering the vast majority of AoE’s have the same area or greater than the circle.)
There has -never- been a instance where a Thief with SR has -ever- prevented a cap on a Supply Camp that I have -ever- seen.
Might I suggest you just get better at the game?
Really? Chest-thumping in the lowest bracket after you were relegated to it?
Classy.
First of all it wasn’t chest thumping at all it was the truth. Everything was falling to the BPA. I never lie and people respect me for that.
You do know just because you told the truth, dosent also mean you werent chest thumping… right?
There were several different ways of wording what you posted, but you choose the most aggressive version to try and get more people to your failing server, which has fallen into the last bracket vs two servers who never have queue, who never have even a combined 60 people in all 4 maps.
Honestly? Its absolutely pathetic that it took you two hours. Any other decent server would have accomplished the same in (at most) 30 minutes.
Good try though I guess.
Any update on allowing guilds to xfer with their guild perks intact then since its obvious you want us all to merge into mega servers?
But in the end, all this fuss is people facing more organized team (yes, time coverage is organization) and wanting the game to be fixed in their way instead of them having to match those team to compete, am i right?
Being lucky enough to pick a server where Oceanic players were is.. organization now?
The only server where you could even say that would be Henge. The others with a heavy oceanic presence were simply luck of the draw.
No ones asking the game to be fixed in anyone’s way. What’s being asked for is simply to make every players contribution count as much as every other player which currently isnt the case.
GG.
Could you agree that before that, SoS was getting dominated? Then all of a sudden, the majority of US players go to bed for GoM/TC, and then tada…. you steam roll everything?
You HONESTLY dont see anything wrong with that?
Let’s turn this around for a sec:
SoS is a mainly Oceanic timezone server. So what you’re saying is it’s okay for NA to steamroll sleeping Oceanics, but it’s not okay for Oceanics to steamroll sleeping NAs?
I’m actually glad you turned it around.
I’m saying its not ok for anyone to do that. Oceanic’s need their own server, and the French Canadians need their own server.
However, I will say that you simply cant label SoS as a primarily Oceanic server when you have queue times during NA prime time. Your NA players are just (frankly) horrible.
Regardless of that point, no players time should be trivialized as they said. That means NA, EU, Oceanic, French Canadian, I dont care who/what/why. Fix it. Or lose everyone kittenally loves WvW to Archeage/newer MMO’s.
You do realise, SoS was actually losing in not only points but potential points at 7:30-8:30 Adelaide/Darwin time? In this time, we finally took control at 1:00 AM and steamrolled since. We never actually took control for a long time, I guess Australians helped TC and Gates of Madness against our prime time too right?
I’d personally love a hour by hour screenshot tommorow night, assuming TC/GoM simply dont give up as we know now its entirely impossible to win.
You have to remember, 1AM isnt exactly “late” for a gamer. Not to mention SOS has a heavy EU presence as well.
Could you agree that before that, SoS was getting dominated? Then all of a sudden, the majority of US players go to bed for GoM/TC, and then tada…. you steam roll everything?
You HONESTLY dont see anything wrong with that? Can we at least get a single honest Oceanic player in here. I understand you dont want your time trivialized. By that same token, we dont either.
You need your own server, just like French Canadians need their own server so they arent flooding EU doing the same thing you are doing here. Then region lock these kitten servers and finikitten. It’s just that simple.
I’m Australian, playing on the Sea of Sorrows server, so my prime time is early morning to NA players and I’m baffled by ‘fighting NPCs’ because I rarely fight against any NA server that hasn’t had a stronger force at my prime time and I play on a heavy oceanic player based server. Either you’re just complaining because you’re losing or you’ve actually never played during that time.
Erm.
So last night, before we go to bed.. Sea of Sorrows is in dead last place with virtually nothing on the map, even though all 3 servers had queues.
Wake up, yep, SoS has the entire map.
Can you please explain again how you arent fighting against purely NPC’s? Since I know you werent fighting against GoM players.
/Sigh.
You’re comparing Sea of Sorrows to Isle of Janthir?
… Mind blown.
No.
No where did I mention IoJ. I mentioned the current matchup of SoSvGoMvTC.
It sounds like you didnt even read the post. The poster was saying that hes on SoS and that they dont fight NPC’s, they fight actual players… which is complete BS of course.
Then went on to show how bad SoS was during the day (even though we all had queues, so it was perfectly even), to becoming godlike over the night fighting a computer army.
Again, the NA player’s time is simply trivialized as it is not worth anything. Oceanic players rule NA servers. Canadians rule EU servers. Amazing stuff right here.

Pretty much. BG at primetime isn’t what won them the match, that’s for sure.
you keep telling yourself that. We stomped your face in at all hours of the day
[/quote]
The graphs dont lie.
You have a 3 hour block where GoM/Yak’s dont even have a queue to enter any battleground.
PvE is fun, yo!
Argue with math more kid.
To sum that up:
BG had oceanic players last week. They got wtfwrecked by Crystal Desert. They then simply gave up.
GoM has never had oceanic players, got wtfwrecked by Crystal Desert.
This week:
BG wrecks while we sleep, does not give up. GoM/Yak’s do not have a strong Oceanic presence, give up.
So last week when it was BG vs GoM vs CD why was GoM attacking BG more then CD…?
And as for the bit about BG having more Oceanic players i again refer to last week. i’d check in the morning and we would have lost pretty much everything to CD, get on in the evening and we’d start to take back our areas until we went to sleep and CD took it all back. If you want to blame something blame the free server transfers, because we clearly didnt have that many oceanic players last week.
GoM wasnt. BG clearly gave up last week, as you can see from the queue time charts.
Which again, goes to the point about Oceanic. If you look at the first day’s charts, you can see BG has just about as good a graph as Crystal Desert. Problem is, BG just got wrecked that first night. Then they simply gave up. (Look at the chart, you can clearly see it took a nose dive after)
One clear thing to note with last week’s matchup.. is only for a hour did BG/CD not have a queue. Compare that to GoM, which had no queue for a 4 hour + period.
Blackgate’s: https://dviw3bl0enbyw.cloudfront.net/uploads/forum_attachment/file/6522/Blackgate.PNG
Notice how it takes a dip after the first day, larger dip after the second, then is non existent. (i.e. BG gave up)
Crystal Desert’s:
https://dviw3bl0enbyw.cloudfront.net/uploads/forum_attachment/file/6524/Crystal_Desert.PNG
Again, notice how its fairly consistent. Being in the lead, they simply did not give up, but kept on pushing. (As anyone would.. if graphs are released this week, BG’s chart will look exactly like that.. BG did NOT give up this week)
Gate of Madness:
https://dviw3bl0enbyw.cloudfront.net/uploads/forum_attachment/file/6532/Gate_of_Madness.PNG
Again, similar to BG’s.. gave up.
Your still going on about the orbs?
You dont see GoM bringing up Yak’s Bend doing it… hell, we even have screenshots of your guy flying.
This is ridiculous to be honest.
Blackgate has more Oceanic players, that’s painfully obvious. When you go to bed and we’ve gotten back everything they have taken over the night, wake up and its all back in their hands…. it should tell you that you should probably work with the other side that dosent have alot of oceanic players either.
Did none of you play DAoC? RF:O? Shadowbane?
The first day you could tell BG had more oceanics. Yak/GoM actually had the lead, BG was in last.. wake up, BG’s in first with the entire map green. That second Yak/GoM should have focused on BG exclusively. Then neither of us would be in this mess.
Stop asking for Dev’s to fix it and fix it your kitten self. This goes for any matchup where one server clearly has a oceanic advantage over the other two. Band together, make their life hell during the day to offset the point advantage they will get at night.
As they say in the NFL… Come on man!
The best thing I can say is.. you guys are completely clueless honestly.
Rewarding players at the end is a setup for complete and utter failure.
Players work hard to progress, and your telling them unless they do it all they get zero reward. No. Just no.
Please hire some new dungeon developers. Preferably with actual experience doing MMO dungeons.. that would be fantastic.
Ill start by saying that yes i am on Crystal Desert and have been here since day 1 of head start.
The moment the 1 week battles started and i saw that we were matched up against GOM and BG, I checked the Rankings thread to see what it looked like.
The reason for that was because during our 24hrs battles, im sorry to say this GOM but your world would get spanked each and every time by us, thus making me wonder why you were matched against us.
I dont see how taking everything over while the other server is asleep is “spanking GoM”?
Let’s at least admit the problem here guys. Servers need to be matched up by the number of players on during time zones, not by score.
If server A has 500 oceanic players, while server B/C has 100… server A will absolutely faceroll the opposition. Server B/C will wake up to all 3 power orbs taken, everything on the map owned, etc. By the time Server B/C gets off of work and gets it back, they will only generate a few thousand points.. during which time they go back to bed and server A takes it all again, generating 10,000+.
What are you Oceanic haters suggesting? Just lock them out of WvW entirely?
My server actually has very few Oceanic players; our top three WvW guilds consist pretty much entirely of East Coast Americans, and our server dominated every match except one with Henge of Denravi and Jade Quarry, which remained relatively even throughout.
Don’t blame region for your server’s lack of motivation. And skill.
Uh…
I see you havent faced a heavy oceanic server yet.
It has absolutely nothing to do with “skill” or “motivation”. When you are doing well before bed, which for example Gate of Madness was… then you wake up @9AM EST and everything is in Crystal Desert’s hands, what exactly are you spose to do?
By the time you get home from work to actually start turning the tide around, they’ve gathered thousands of points for free.
Oceanic players, quiet simply, run this game on the NA side. Just like NA players run it on the EU servers. We’ve seen enough examples of players playing PvE the keeps to know this. A simple look through all the server scores currently working shows you crystal clear evidence.
As to what should be done… you could do a number of things honestly.
Limit the number of people in each WvW map to the lowest realm’s population numbers. Cut the point generation during each server’s “downtime” by 50-75%. Whatever, dosent matter.
Bottom line is: This has been a issue for anyone that has played games like this. One simply has to go look back at Shadowbane (5AM bane times anyone?!) or DAoC (which admittedly had a few more checks and balances in place then SB or GW2).
Honestly, I’m baffled.
Simply unsure in what direction you wish to take this game, other then to the bank so you can make the biggest profit possible.
If I look on metrics and notice that only 3 dungeons are being ran significantly, it would most likely not make me call it a “exploit” (as your team did), but rather make me wonder what is wrong with my other dungeons that make these three so attractive. (CM, CoF, AC to a lesser extent)
The very last thing I would do would be to immediately fix those three before I at least had some fixes to roll out for the rest, so that it at least stays on a standard level.
Maybe eventually you’ll figure out what exactly your doing, but until then I think I’ll be chilling in Borderlands 2 & Torchlight 2… you know, not buying any of your gems.
World: Gate of Madness
Guild: Flameborne
Logged in today and the guild is completely gone in a nutshell. It shows I’m the only member. Logged into my wife’s account, shows shes the only member. No tag either, its just blank ( [ ] ).
No upgrades, etc.
This is a bit ridiculous to be honest. Fix would be fabulous.
I’m utterly shocked by the response from Dalmarus.
Now I have to be careful what I buy on the trading post, because if Idiot A lists Item B for less then it sells for, heaven forbid I make any money.. ban incoming.
There should never be a ban for me buying something from the trading post. Ever. Period. If I find a great deal, that’s the entire freaking point of the trading post.
:D:D
