I always find it amusing to come to threads like this where you have people like butch and DistantStatic saying idiotic or insulting things and they don’t realize they are perfectly embodying the reason so many people prefer to solo.

and I find him by far the easiest of the 3. He’s not much more difficult than a veteran skeleton. And no, I don’t bring any condition removal. :::shrugs:::

You kidding me? Necros eat conditions every meal of the day. I know people that play Necro and they love it lol. They laugh in malicious laughter as the person they condition stack dies without them having to even get close.

Try facing a p/d thief, necros can remove and stack their bleedas on them maybe (5-8) stack and they will clean it while the skill the necros has is 90min CD, the thief doesn’t have CD and if you’re lucky to stack 8 bleeds on the thief good luck with that since the damage suck balls.

I’ll assume you meant 90sec.

Avoid the thief then. There are classes/builds certain classes/builds are better against. You can’t expect a single class to be on equal footing vs all other classes. For example, a guardian would have a hard time with ranged classes as opposed to other melee classes just due to the fact that they are not mobile enough and often have a harder time closing the distance gap.

I haven’t really been paying attention to necro patch notes but I’m just saying…
Play your strengths.

Avoid the thief then? Seriously, that’s your answer? “Excuse me, mister thief, please stop attacking me, I have no counter for you so I’m just going to walk away from you now. Theif? Stahp Thief! I’m avoiding you, stahp killing meeeeee….”
As for your ludicrous statement about guardians having difficulty closing the distance gap, have you never played one? They have multiple jumps, they can close gaps insanely easy. I’m confused as to which game you’ve been playing because I’m pretty sure it’s not GW2

Why I think you're losing active players

That your true problem your playing the game for the wrong reason please stop trying to play it like a WoW minded mmorpg.

lol, good job on the arrogance. You completely missed every point the OP made and then make arrogant (and completely wrong) assumptions about what kind of player he is. What’s particularly amusing is that your suggestions boil down to largely learning to play this game like a “WoW minded mmorpg” and you don’t even see that.

the rest of it is easy to work around, but the radar from standing on the teleporters make the game ultimately pointless if you’re a villager. It’s obvious they only intend for the courtiers to win, the game is overwhelming rigged in their favor

I’m impressed with the amount of disdainful arrogance Vayne manages to cram into each of his posts. Self-importance at its finest. Well done, sir.

A hand puppet would be just as popular in that regard.

Fighting Mr. Hand and his minions would be amazing… And you know Mr. Slave would have to make an appearance

I have this bug as well, just finished the Auric Basin meta event and it sits there, wiggling, taunting me. Every time I click on it, it immediately crashes the game and kicks me out to the error reporting thing.

I wonder how people would feel if Scarlet took over the tower as her main base of operations. On one hand players finally get to go inside the tower they’ve been begging to play in since GW1, on the other hand it gets corrupted by Scarlet.

Please delete your comment before any devs see this. This is the worst idea EVER. I would cry tears of bloody rage if that were to happen.

Halloween used to be for everyone

A lot of OP is false.

1. The nougat/fangs drop rate is about the same
2. Mad king armor drop rate is about the same (players got it last year mostly from chests)
3. The candy corn bag was a 10 slot
4. You can solo the prince instance this year.
5. The mobs in the labyrinth are about the same in difficulty, but there was a third “chest” boss in the center.
6. The maze is about the same if you are trying to solo this year as last, only this year it is harder because nobody is doing the horror who runs around and kills you if you are solo.

Apparently you are incredibly lucky or playing a different game than the rest of us. The OP is correct; you are very wrong here. I played the Halloween content more this year than last year and I have gotten less than a dozen nougat or fangs. Last year I had about 50 of each with the first 2 or 3 days. The drop rate has been nerfed into almost nonexistence. As for the armor pieces, I haven’t received a single one, and neither has the few friends I’ve asked about it. And no, the trash mobs running around in the labyrinth are much harder this year, more CC and way more hp. Trying to do it alone with a character under 80 isn’t fun, its just annoyingly tedious, and that’s not even taking into account the Horror wandering by and slaughtering you with 2 or 3 hits. This year’s sucks compared to last year.

Er 7m accounts over the total life of the game. If you don’t realize the game has far less active players than it did at launch then you aren’t looking hard enough.

Yeah, I’ve seen that. I was in one guild that had over two hundred members. I looked through the roster a couple weeks ago and there was roughly 8 of us that had logged-in in the last 6 months, and a lot of the dead accounts hadn’t logged-in in well over a year. It was very disheartening and a little scary to look through that roster of names and see so many dead accounts.

You're doing it wrong!

I find it sadly amusing that the OP was infracted for an honest depiction of a lot of the problems in the game. GW2 is broken on a very basic, fundemental level. It is boring to play for any length of time. I haven’t even logged into the game in a couple months because adding extra content onto a broken system is still boring. The fight mechanics and extremely limited weapon skill sets are just tedious. I’ve gone back and played more GW1 in the last couple months than I have bothered to play GW2, even though I already have GWAMM and 50/50 in HoM. I wish I knew how to define what made GW1 such a fun and replayable game so I can point to it and say “Do this! This is what fun looks like!” but it’s something ephemeral and intangible, which GW2 is completely lacking. The only reason I haven’t uninstalled the game completely is I keep hoping they will make improvements down the line, a la expansions or makeover some of the game mechanics. Like in GW1 and the addition of heroes where you could customize the skills of the NPCs in your party, the game was awesome before that, but it opened up so many areas to a solo player who didn’t like being forced to play a certain class with a specific build in order to visit some of the high-end areas. It’s pretty heart-breaking to read that they have officially announced there won’t be any expansions to the game. I miss the magic that was GW1
