I know it’s probably unpopular to contest a suggestion, but please no heroes or henchmen. Guild Wars 2 is an MMORPG, and I really didn’t like how heroes and henchmen dominated Guild Wars 1 towards the end of its “time”. I like playing with actual people.
Havroun Doublet (cultural light armor for the Norn) chest piece seems to cause major clipping in the neck area (while weapons are wielded).

They could just make a chair item similar to the magic carpets. Dispense a chair — maybe with a few poses for skills 1-5. Or just a pose. I don’t think anyone would be too picky if we were to get something.
So… This is probably one of the more “important” clothing tonics, in my opinion. It took a bit of determination and dedication to get a promotion code for one back in the day. I’d like to use it more often, but it cannot be used regularly (in combat) and the shoes for it look horrible (in my opinion, of course — their coloration is totally off from the core outfit).
I was wondering if the tonic could be looked at and adjusted: Possibly by making it a combat tonic and/or recoloring the shoes to be more cohesive with the outfit (or just removing them altogether since they use the generic model and color of the old basic town clothing).
I know the people that care about this item can probably be counted on two hands, but that should possibly be more incentive to take another look at it. While I don’t speak for everyone that has this tonic, I haven’t seen anyone using the tonic since it was changed.

Just bought the equivalent of these items in World of Warcraft during their pre-expansion event from a vendor. Paid 60 gold total (basically nothing) for Cloth, Leather, Mail and Plate invisible shoes (all the armor classes). Definitely beats the $200/pair that we’re looking at here. Thanks Blizzard!
We knew within a month or so of Heart of Thorns’ launch that these were going to be almost impossible to obtain naturally in game. We tried asking if this was intentional, etc and never got a response. Those here that have paid the totally ludicrous prices will feel shafted if anything is changed now.
It’s been awhile and these shoes are still very (overly?) difficult to obtain. In addition, you must get the light, medium and heavy versions if you want all three. The shoes are very similar to items like the new Bloodstone Crown (which unlocks for all armor types once you receive one of the three types).
My suggestion is to consider doing the same thing for the invisible shoes, please. It will help consolidate the three markets (Invisible Stompers/Invisible Boots/Invisible Slippers) into one, leveled, market and thus make them slightly more obtainable.
I think this is a decent “meet halfway” suggestion, and if it could be considered and implemented I’m sure a lot of people would appreciate it.
“I may be wrong but I think my neighbors lure children to their house with Pokemon, eat them and use their ground bones to make patio pavers.”
Sorry, stating damaging accusations of wrong doing with the phrase “I may be wrong” doesn’t excuse you from trying to stir up trouble.
I did not state a damaging accusation anywhere. Even if I had stated a “damaging” accusation, I think you grossly exaggerate the impact that a post from a single user would have on the game. Comparing an accusation on an internet forum to an accusation of murder is very different in levels of severity.
I find it simply ABSURD that you feel the bar of logging in while an episode is first live as a personal affront or insurmountable barrier especially since it is the same as LS2.
You are once again exaggerating and putting words into my mouth; I am mainly inquiring on behalf of a friend that is currently deployed. Are there other courses of action besides posting a question on a forum? Of course. I could simply buy him LS3. He could buy it himself. I could potentially log in for him. However, this is the reason we have forums — for discussion. Are there more important things to worry about while a friend is deployed? Of course; but sometimes it’s the little things in life that matter. Regardless of what the verdict is, it’s not the end all if he cannot get LS3 for “free” since he purchased HoT.
And to make it easy for you, this is the one mention of living world on the HoT web site, near the bottom of the Heart of Maguma “journey deeper” section.
Yes, I did already see that page, but thank you. (It’s also linked by a developer on the first page of this thread).
“If you own the expansion, you’ll be able to simply log in to the game to gain free access to upcoming Living World releases!”
Even if you don’t own the expansion, you’ll be able to log in and claim LS3 for free to play in the future when you do own HoT. If you read through that page, you’ll also notice that it doesn’t say a single thing about “raids”. My point being, somewhere along the way (if not multiple times) there was information distributed that discussed post-launch content for HoT. That information isn’t really on this page and what little there is is fairly subjective — although it could be assumed that LS3’s distribution would work similar to LS2’s distribution; however, 1) This is the first time we’ve dealt with an expansion and the living story working together and 2) In discussions, and even that very information page you linked, the Living Story Season 3 is tied directly to Heart of Thorns. It isn’t really its own entity. It hasn’t ever been tied to Expansion 2. It’s never really been talked about as its own thing (also it generally hasn’t been talked about).
Of course the wording is open to many interpretations. We often see what we want to see.
Yes! Absolutely. Now please apply that introspectively and ask yourself why it was necessary to go for my throat, put very aggressive words in my mouth and accuse me of trying to “stir up trouble”. If you do reply, please do not reply to this part as it is not what the thread is about. Pointless bickering on a forum is pointless and non-constructive. I know you are intelligent enough to realize that. As for myself, I am sorry that you felt that I was trying to do whatever negative thing it is that you thought I was doing.
It’s like if you buy a season pass for a game and then you are told you must log in between x and y date or you won’t get the content you already paid for.
I may be wrong, but I’m pretty sure that HoT included LS3, raids, legendary weapons and other things that were meant to be added post launch.
Then show me where they said that? It’s easy to claim that they did. Just as some claim they said crafting your precursor was going to be cheaper than buying one. Or that they said you could play a fully unlocked elite spec on day one of HoT. Lots of claims with little or no backup. Always couched with “I heard that” or “I was told that”.
IIRC they only said you needed HoT to play future LS content. The fact it’s being offered like LS2 was offered is a non-issue except for drive by players.
Show you what? Why are you accusing me of stating things as fact when I ended my post by stating that I may be wrong? Your IIRC has just as much merit, or lack thereof, as my recollection. In addition, I really don’t have the time to do a deep dive for where this information may have been presented. There are just too many articles, videos and posts to search through.
A few of my friends and I are under the impression (whether that impression be right or wrong) that LS3 would be “bundled” out post-launch of HoT the same way raids and legendaries were meant to.
People just love to be hostile to others on an internet forum. If you have information to prove those of us in this thread with concerns about this subject are misinformed, please bring forth that information. If you’re not going to give us decisive information to address our concerns and seek only to instigate hostility, please leave.

They also removed the kick dirt animation (it wasn’t only the stretch that was removed).
It’d be awesome if they would update us on this so we can stop bringing it up. It’s been almost two years now? I’ve lost count. Regardless, they originally said it was a bug and being looked in to — if the change was intended, it would be awesome if they could just say so at this point.
If it’s a bug, please fix it — it’s been on the back-burner for quite awhile now; If the removal was intentional, please inform us of such.
Yah, I was using a program called ModelMod to play around with outfits and stuff (it’s similar to TexMod and Guild Wars 1). It needs to hook as far as I’m aware — but I’m nothing close to an expert.
https://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/4dgzip/release_modelmod_modify_art_in_games/
I’m surprised how little attention it got. I’ve used it to do some cool “good stuff” (although I’m sure it can also be used for “bad stuff”, unfortunately). It was a cool little thing to play with, and I’m going to miss it if there’s nothing that can be done. It was released to the public about a month ago. When I tried it and started getting in depth with Blender I said to myself, “Surely it’s safe to get into this program and the modeling. It only supports 32-bit applications at the moment, but it’s not like ArenaNet will force everyone to migrate to a 64-bit system anytime soon [or even ever]. If they wanted to protect against usage of this tool, they’d otherwise have to go through fairly extensive countermeasures for very little/no gain. The program is benign in nature. I see a long future of fun with this!”
I was (kinda) wrong :P
Heya! Does anyone know of a way to, basically, run the 32-bit .exe without it attempting to update? I’d like to run the 32-bit version of the game directly from the executable. I know you can add -32 to the command line in the shortcut, but I can’t use a shortcut. Thank you in advance, if anyone has any advice or help they can offer
Maybe setting the automatic switch to use 64bit client to 6gb ram instead.
Or just get rid of the automatic switch entirely and implement an option into the launcher (or an option in the in game settings to swap to __-bit on a restart.
Is there any way to use the 32-bit client without it auto-updating to 64-bit? (I can’t use a shortcut; I just want to use the .exe itself)
It barely resembles the GW1 games at all.
I’m sorry, but you’re just now realizing this?
Anyways, I think platforming is something that GW2 does incredibly well. Especially when compared to other MMORPGs. And I think there are so many other things to complain about other than something optional being added that helps to make jumping puzzles remotely relevant.
Doing jumping puzzles is the most unrewarding thing to do in GW2 besides standing around doing nothing. So, yay, they threw us a bone.
Oh why could this not have been the scythe instead… Or in addition to.
I’ve been waiting for a double barrel shotgun skin for a lonnnnnnnng time. When raids first released, I saw Sabetha’s Boomstick and got super excited, but… It was only another flamethrower skin — for rifle.
My 2ยข.
I haven’t tried raiding in months, but finding the slots to fill was the worst part of raiding for me. It’s why I haven’t tried recently. Waiting an hour + to have fun isn’t fun. When someone leaves, that process often starts over. Then you potentially have to teach the new person your strategy. Then someone else leaves. Rinse and repeat ad nauseam.
I could join a raiding guild that’s on a schedule with a roster and expects me to show up at _ time every week for the rest of forever, but no.

I’ve never had an issue with this, but I think if anyone were to honestly answer, I’d say most would say this is a minor issue at best.
The biggest problem, for me, is that there are a ton of valid bug reports in the bug section of the forums. Some of them have gone unaddressed for years (even after a developer said they’d look into the issue, in some cases) and have hundreds if not thousands of posts and views. One of the “teacher’s pets” complains about something, and, within a week, it is being addressed and “fixed”.
It basically says to most of the community that if you’re not a streamer you have no voice. If you’re not a streamer or content creator for GW2, your opinion doesn’t really matter. I agree and feel that Anet is particularly bad about only addressing issues from people that raise hell on Reddit or addressing issues from their popular content creators.
One of the examples of this is here: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Female-human-only-has-1-animation-now/first
It has been over a year since this was submitted and a few days later it is “currently under investigation”. It has been under investigation for over a year — if the issue is not going to be fixed, they could at least say so rather than continuously sweeping it under the rug.
So, yes, even if it only takes five minutes to swap those buttons around, I’d much rather that precious time being spent elsewhere. Either working on WvW, the numerous bugs in the bug report section, or finally getting around to adding these lost idle animations back in. Anything else rather than continuously reinventing the wheel.
I think this is another knee-jerk reaction that says a lot of negative stuff about this company.
I can’t believe it’s one slot per 700 gems. I thought it’d be, like, a slot for an account shared slot that a bag could go into. I have so many instruments, toys and utility items that I’d love to be available without having to switch everything out, but these overpriced individual slots do not solve that issue. At least I won’t be spending anything on them.

FLIP TABLE
Welp, someone just sold me a pair. Enjoy your 2k! I’m enjoying my freedom.
And before anyone says I’m crazy (I already know I am, but let me try to convince you otherwise):
I’ve been obsessing over finding these. And you can’t just stretch getting these out over time like you can a legendary, or whatever (unless they’re crafted — still not totally convinced they’re from treasure shrooms, but whatev).
Anywho, with none on the market, if you want a pair that means grinding these stupid treasure mushrooms day in and day out until you get a drop.
That wasn’t the case for me for, like, two weeks straight. So… Hurray! Freedom.
I hope for the sake of everyone else that wants these that they’re made more available. Assuming they’re a dropped item. Still not convinced. Good luck, invisible hunters.
Yep. I’m the one with the 2,001g buy order for a pair of boots. I just want it to be over with. I made about 1,000g since HoT launched and I’m just so (literally) sick and tired of farming for these things. I pretty much gave up last weekend.
So I put up an incredibly lucrative buy order (Monday) and still haven’t been sold a single pair of invisible boots.
I don’t necessarily mind paying such a crazy amount so I can stop worrying about these things. But throwing no amount of gold at these is going to make them drop more often or even make a pair available — especially as more players are doing other things in the game.
Matthew, John Smith, Colin Johanson, Gaile, ANYONE help, please!?
For those of us that want these, this obviously has to be wrong, does it not?
In the meantime, if you’re reading this: Sell the crazy 2001g buy order person a pair of Invisible Boots please. End my suffering. Become fairly rich. Win win.
Don’t get me wrong, I want em too, and try to farm em every day, but whether or not I get em now or later doesn’t matter too much to me. (If I never get em as a drop, that’d suck, but such is my RNG luck)
At the moment, not every has stealth detection, and not everyone knows of the existence of these to even try farming em.
As far as toggles and whether or not it’s needed, I don’t have a great argument for it, but I also don’t feel the argument of “well we have these other toggles, and other games offer it” is great either.
I just think they’re too rare (if they’re even a drop from treasure mushrooms — I’m still not 100% convinced).
Most items’ prices have started to settle. We’re about halfway into the third week that Heart of Thorns has been out. Even the Mordrem Saber has fallen below 1,000g now for sell orders.
However, with these shoes, the sell orders are getting higher and higher. There’s not enough competition to keep the prices in check.
I really wish they would shed some light on this:
1) If the shoes even drop from treasure mushrooms. Just a yes they do, or no they don’t.
2) If they do drop from treasure mushrooms, is this low of a drop rate intended?
If they don’t drop from treasure mushrooms, I think it’s probably safe that they can tell us now. The people getting rich off of people paying crazy amounts for these have had their fun and we can start amending some of the misinformation about these, if that’s the case.
I think it’s suspicious that the prices keep going up incrementally as well. We know they initially sold for 1500, then 2000, and now there’s a pair for 2500. Also, we already know that one person that got a pair lied about not knowing where he got them. He then said where he supposedly got them from, but how are you supposed to trust someone that has already confessed to lying? Especially when they could be making thousands of gold a day off of these. /tinfoilhat
So, now based off maybe half a handful of reports that seem sketchy at best, we now “know” that these drop from treasure mushrooms. It’s now written in stone on Dulfy’s site and the official GW2 Wiki.
So while it does make sense that these would drop from treasure mushrooms, I have my doubts until someone provides a screenshot of it dropping from one (if not a video). I’ve regularly been farming these — sometimes much, much more than I should be. I’ve had zero luck and it seems to be a complete waste of time.
I seriously find it hard to believe that out of all the items in GW2, that invisible shoes were chosen to be the rarest drop in the game. Out of precursors, the new weapon skins, preserved honey goop and bat tonics, that INVISIBLE shoes, were chosen to be the rarest item in the game.
What is that even?
Eventually, if people stop being lazy & actually go try for once there might be more of these in stock which would inevitably lower the cost. Supply and demand.
I will be productive and go around hunting treasure mushrooms whilst exploring & playing the content in hopes of getting said item along the way.
I really don’t think I’m lazy. I’ve sacrificed health and sanity farming these things for the past two weeks. I’ve spent two whole days now farming them in Auric Basin. (I even swapped back and forth between TD and AB for about three hours and then just kept farming Auric Basin because the Chak event was annoying me). I’ve used magic find boosters to get 440% and I have had zero luck so far.
The mushrooms are annoying, typically in enemy infested areas, have tons of health and are just typically extremely unrewarding besides the daily kill.
I don’t really know what else to say. I’m still not even convinced they drop from the treasure mushrooms. I’m actually starting to get really upset and frustrated that they made such a fairly frequently requested item so difficult to get — especially when there’s a toggle for other armor pieces. It’s not like Heart of Thorns has a ton of new armor anyways — why in the world make these cool niche boots so difficult to obtain?
And people don’t seem to understand that things like the mordrem saber are in super high demand and are obtained naturally through the Dragon Stand meta. Meanwhile, a niche and comparatively lower demanded item (the boots) is from treasure mushrooms, and few are going to want to waste their time killing these things as time goes on. Most people are killing these for their collection piece, and perhaps their daily rare. So, really, I only anticipate the price of these invisible shoes to go up at this rate.
Give them a mystic forge recipe or make them a super expensive vendor item. Maybe have some invisible frog vending them for 1,000 each of the new currencies +100 gold, or something.
I know it’s “early” into the expansion, but I’m afraid the later it gets, the less they’ll consider making these more easily obtainable because “lots” of people will already have spent thousand*s* of gold for a single pair. If you did gems to gold to buy these shoes (assuming they’re even on the trading post — there’s typically not a single pair listed), it would cost a minimum of about $450 USD. Most other modern games offer a toggle of some sort for free — or the “invisible” skin is much more reasonable to obtain.
I just can’t see myself acquiring one pair any time soon, let alone all three, ever. So here I am, making a QQ post and asking that they reconsider the way these are acquired before going to sleep super late, empty handed, again.
I don’t mind earning these, but I was hoping that we were moving away from such a hardcore RNG-gate. Especially for such a highly requested feature, and doubly especially for an item where its siblings have a free toggle.
Oh look! Invisible Slippers on the trading post for the low price of 2,000 gold!
Yep. I’ve been farming these things trying to get an invisible boot box. They’re a major pain in the rear. Stupidly low drop rate, tons of health, in congested enemy areas (the VB is terrible and the TD one is just as bad, if not worse, when the chak/beetle event is up down there), and they flip away when you finally do get them cornered.
Not so much tons of fun. Or even remotely fun.
Someone listed the medium boots for 1.5k on the TP, still there. Wonder if they’ll sell.
They will.
So aside from being super time gated by event to farm it, does actually getting the drop involve super RNG like getting an ascended box drop?
It seems there’s a super amount of RNG to getting them. I’m still not convinced they drop from treasure mushrooms since there’s been so few obtained. And none of these people, supposedly, remember if it was from a treasure mushroom at all, the daily event from the treasure mushroom, or just a general drop from the treasure mushrooms.
They also keep appearing at a steady rate of one a day and are listed at the same price of 1500g every day. I have about 200 or so samples from trusted resources (myself and a few guild members) and none of us have gotten even one pair yet. It seems a bit suspicious to me, although it could just be paranoia.
Also, the events are bloody annoying. There’s no reason for treasure mushrooms to be a group event when I’m by myself the majority of the time trying to kill them. They take forever to kill.
It’s like they went out of their way to be as trolly as possible in regards to these shoes. I think it’s a bit cruel, and I hope they adjust something to make obtaining these a bit more stomachable.
give it time, in a few months it’ll be 300g or so. rare drops are supposed to be rare, just like dusk. you don’t find dusks from endlessly slaying mobs all day, you find it by raw luck.
Hopefully so. I still think they should keep an eye on these and decide where they want these to be at, rarity-wise. Invisible Boots haven’t even made it to the trading post once yet, and there is typically not even any pair of invisible shoes on the trading post for sale at any given time.
I think, from my experience, where these are at now are more frustrating to get than anything. You play games to have fun and to earn things you want. I’ve been having a lot of fun in HoT, but I have played enough to max my HoT masteries and I feel like the reward side of things (especially the armor skins) is lacking.
If they were to make these a bit more easily accessible (even if that means making these account bound) I think that would be a good thing and a plus for the rewards from HoT. I simply feel that there’s great opportunity for people to get something cool from a specific feature in the game, but it’s (once again) being degraded into “Oh, you’ll probably never get this item naturally, so just farm the gold for it and buy it.” That makes me sad, annoyed, and frustrated.
So, yes, in my humble opinion I think it would be better for the game and those that want these if they’re made account bound and have their rarity significantly reduced. These are from a mastery that requires invisibility detection, after all. How are players without it even supposed to see them and buy them off the trading post? :P
I fail to see how the shoes being account bound would change anything at all.
That’s because you didn’t read my suggestion.
My suggestion was to make them fully account bound and increase the drop rate. That helps to keep these items away from the ludicrous trading post market, deliver the item to those that actually want to use them (which I would assume being the whole purpose of their creation in the first place — unless their purpose is meant to troll, and if that’s the case they’re doing a great job as is), and increase the value of the invisible detection mastery.
But they are already tied in with invisible detection mastery! Yes, but they probably have, like, a one in a thousand chance to drop (if not lower) and you only get six attempts per day. That’s also only for one pair.

Hey Matthew, now that the secret is out, would you please consider having the drop frequency on these adjusted?
I know making knee-jerk reactions isn’t a great thing, but these seem to be the rarest drop in Heart of Thorns (if not the entirety of Guild Wars 2), by far. My guild and I (~5 people farming/day) have been killing at least three treasure mushrooms (usually at least four, and more recently five) a day for the past two weeks and have had no luck in obtaining a single pair.
It just seems a real shame that we were given a toggle for helmet, gloves and shoulders and that these invisible boots do the same thing, but are behind such an extremely and dismally low drop rate. I don’t think invisible shoes should remotely be among the most expensive and rarest items in the game.
TL;DR Can we please have the drop rate tweaked on these to be a lot more reasonable? Could these be fully made account bound and have their drop rate adjusted to provide more incentive to train this mastery and provide more of a reward for using this mastery?
It makes sense to me that the people that want these can farm them every day for a few days to a week to get a pair — while the rich/lucky will not be able to exploit these like they currently are.

I got box too. If anyone wish to have i can chose type u like and set on tp. U can send me msg here on forums. http://oi66.tinypic.com/9qa8gn.jpg
cheers
Mind sharing if it was an actual drop from a treasure mushroom or was the box awarded as the daily award?
Hmm. Him obtaining them in Dragon’s Stand doesn’t rule out the Treasure Mushroom theory because there’s one in there as well. If It was just a general drop from the event bags it’d be way more common.
I also saw a Mushroom Emperor event in there that was hilariously hard and I didnt manage to finish it.
No one (of course there’s probably an exception) kills the champions that spawn in the opened areas of DS after the meta event ends, so that would make a lot of sense if it was a drop from one of the champions — especially the Mushroom Emperor since it seems a lot of the mushrooms are invisible. I may try begging for a group to take him down next time I’m in DS.
Well I’ll be. If that isn’t shopped it’s relieving news that they indeed are in the game.
Could you disclose the location in which you found them kind sir?
They’re not photo-shopped, but you may wish they were. He chose the stompers and put them on the trading post for 1500 gold.
And you can’t really blame him. Heart of Thorns has been out for three weeks and he is, seemingly, one of the few that have obtained these — and it seems they’re an extremely rare drop. And while I don’t know where to get these definitively, it looks like they may end up being rarer than a precursor or even the rarest drop in the game.
I’m going to be extremely upset if either of those are the case. I’ve been killing at least three invisible treasure mushrooms a day for the last two weeks; recently I’ve also been killing the one in Dragon’s Stand and have still had no luck — if that is what they drop from.
Isn’t there an tool that tracks and updates drop location as soon as someone obtains an item?
I have no idea about any of that stuff, sorry. I know the boot box was recently added to the API about a week ago. That means, as far as I know with my limited knowledge regarding these things, that the first drop (or obtaining in some manner) of these was a little over a week after HoT’s launch on November 2nd.
Well I’ll be. If that isn’t shopped it’s relieving news that they indeed are in the game.

EDIT: Just to add, I did manage to talk to him. He said he got them in Dragon’s Stand but did not remember where he got them from. He said he chose the stompers and put them on the trading post. So, possibly obtainable somehow in Dragon’s Stand — But I’d like to remind anyone reading this that he currently has 1500 gold at stake along with the uploading fee since he owns the market on these (at least the Invisible Stompers) at the moment.
(edited by Athena.3579)
I don’t know how the API works.
Does this mean that someone definitely obtained the box? Or can it be that ANet edited it into the database for an upcoming patch?
I tried using the in-game chat code (for the boot box) and it didn’t work.
Curse! Probably the Invisible Mushrooms -.-
How often can you do these events a day? Just one time in each area? What about muliple characters?
Once a day per zone per account, it seems. At least for the “bonus” stuff (the, typically, rare item and invisible spore if you’re still doing collections).
There’s also an Invisible Mushroom King Tyranus (in Auric Basin — to the east of Wanderer’s Waypoint on ground level) that I haven’t actually been able to kill yet. I tried killing him outright, breaking the defiance bar (multiple times), killing the Queen (that is nearby) first and then killing/breaking Tyranus. No luck. It may also be a drop from him.
And here it is:
So probably a stupidly rare drop from the invisible mushrooms then. I’ve been killing at least three every day (the one in VB, Auric, and Tangled — I haven’t gotten the opportunity to kill the one(s?) in Dragon’s Stand yet).
Also people have mentioned there being a new inviz bag in HoTs but I’ve never seen it or heard its name so I cant look it up and go get it for mystic forge testing. There’s literally no info at all on it.
I may be wrong, but I think they’re talking about this:

I’m not great at this stuff, so I’m probably wrong. I don’t like crafting or forging, but I had some thoughts on something to consider/try.
1) I think there may be soulbound/account bound items required to craft these. I unchecked “Show only available” in the trading post to see if there are even slots for these shoes on the trading post, and there are none. So I’m guessing the shoes themselves or some of the components to create them are bound. (If they are even crafted or forged in the first place).
2) Maybe try something involving Crystalline Dust and/or Vial of Linseed Oil with (for Medium armor) Hardened Boot Sole and Hardened Boot Upper. Possibly also try the Damask versions, but that is expensive…
I really wish we knew a general direction to go for these. Even with Nightfury it was a given that the tattered wings would be involved somehow. For all we know, crafting/forging could be the entirely wrong direction.
Invisible Stompers, Invisible Slippers, and Invisible Boots now have the correct icon.
That’s nice. These are taking longer to find than Nightfury, though. Can we get a hint on these?

Ok then. I guess we’re allowed to have 5-6 threads on the first couple of pages about the Nightfury shoulder armor floating around, but a thread about the introduction of these new armors and a thread asking for a hint on how to obtain them are not allowed.
The double standards are real. Good luck finding these, I’m done searching/trying.
They’re definitely not a glitch. I’ve been asking for a visibility toggle for the foot slot for a while, but to no avail. I think people finally got tired of my pestering and created this item for me to equip on all my characters so that they can be barefoot like me. :-)
Game COntent Designer MM made three posts about it in the other thread.
Yah, I’ve read that thread. Still, there isn’t any actual hint for it other than that it’s supposedly in game somewhere.
I just wanted to make a new thread to see if we could get a hint response. The other thread is bogged down with a lot of nobody knows and is already painted red (has a developer response).
I just thought it was worth a shot asking for a hint in a new thread.
making duplicate threads is not allowed.
And neither is impersonating a moderator. I can grasp at straws too.
If you have nothing constructive to add, should you really be posting?

While playing through the new content I’ve taken breaks to try and search for these and have had no luck. I haven’t heard of anyone else having any luck either.
Can we get a hint on these, please? Is it Halloween related? Adventure related? Available in the core game? Heart of Thorns related? Mystic forge related? Hidden achievement related? Collection related? Sold by a vendor somewhere?
There are so many ways that I can think to go about getting these; can we get a nudge in the right direction please?
They’re not from Heart of Thorns story mode. A hint would be greatly appreciated!
I think the Gyve of Madness may be Nightfury related, but I’m probably wrong.
I checked the Southsun beach vendors and had no luck. I also checked Hoelbrak and had no luck.
Today, when they remove the Itzel poison lore requirement, I plan on finishing the HoT story. I’ll report in if it’s a reward from that. I’ve also been looking for a Matthew NPC (and I thoroughly checked the Hoelbrak area where Colin’s NPC is). I’ll also try to check Lion’s Arch thoroughly (including the tavern that is only open at night).
I have plenty ideas of where they could be, but that is way too much ground to cover. I’ve seen a few Nightfury hints floating around — can we get a hint for these invisible pieces too, please?
Well I’ve emoted with Queen Jennah. So they’re not from her as far as I can tell… I thought that’d make the most sense to initially try, since dancing with her is a precursor step. I also checked all the vendors in Divinity’s Reach in case someone was selling cheap knockoffs; “Hey, these shoes are totally just invisible! Like Jennah’s! I’ll sell them to you for only 100g a piece!”
I’m kinda trying to think of things that make sense to try. I haven’t tried any mystic forge recipes. I don’t know where to start if that… thing is involved. I also checked a few HoT vendors, looked kindaish thoroughly through the achievements, and looked at the collectibles and didn’t see anything that raised an alarm.
