They’re definitely not a glitch. I’ve been asking for a visibility toggle for the foot slot for a while, but to no avail. I think people finally got tired of my pestering and created this item for me to equip on all my characters so that they can be barefoot like me. :-)
Any hints on how to get them, please? With an Eternity-wielding Mad King Quaggan that knows how to rave dance on top?
Just noticed these in the wardrobe. There are versions for heavy and medium too. Dunno how to get them, but it’s interesting!
Please be careful when bringing down the base healing of the druid. I’m not entirely convinced the Berserker meta is finished with, but it’s great that you’re trying to move away from it. However, even in Valkyrie armor/weapons and Berserker trinkets, I was still able to assist fairly heavily with damage and bring healing to the group.
If you require a healing power set to stay on par with the healing amounts of BWE3, then the damage of the druid will drop significantly. If the raids end up not warranting druid healing and we cannot do decent damage, then druids will be entirely unnecessary.
Edit: Also, it would be nice if you could auto attack with GTAoEs. I don’t care if the skill activates while I’m turning my camera and the skill fires off in completely weird directions. Or maybe an option to turn something like that on.
Or even better yet, an officially supported mouselook mode would do wonders.

Hello developer peoples. I heard that you had some spare time on your hands (or you must have some spare time on your hands since you “fixed” this https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Really-ANet-Re-Quaggan-Rave); I was wondering if we could, like, maybe get around to taking another looksy at these missing idle animations for, like, actual player characters? Like, like, yeah, like.
May we ask these be the last idle animations you strike down so mercilessly? We know this request to be futile, ArenaNet, but just thought we would ask.
Oh. Look. 2013/2014 Halloween weapon skins… /sad
I just wanted to ask that the animations be looked at again. There are too many reused animations with the staff weapon. Also, I wouldn’t expect a staff to be carried around like a giant hammer. I think a new drawn animation needs to be made for melee staves. Also, as many others have already said, the dodges felt weird. I disabled the dodge trait and enjoyed the specialization much more without any grandmaster trait.
Monk Outfit issue: Feet are missing/invisible. Sandals are there, but no feet inside of them. (I know, not a super pressing issue in comparison with other things, but an issue nonetheless).
Edit: Issue seems to only affect female humans.

July 28th, 2015 Update:
Good news everyone!
They fixed the invisible thighs!
Also, you have no feet now.
Third time is a charm, right?
Sorry to keep bumping this back up; however, I feel that it’s important to post the good too (and not only the bad).
The support team probably wasn’t entirely unanimous on how to solve this issue since the issue just cropped up Tuesday. Regardless, they took another look at my ticket and solved it for me. Thanks support team!
Refund request was denied for the third time in a row. The second time, they said they would refund me and then later “reiterated” that they would not be able to fulfill my request. What’s going on guys?
What are my courses of action here? You already have my money because I bought Heart of Thorns Ultimate (and Standard for a friend that was on the edge for, apparently, obvious reasons).
I have no option but to keep flooding support with tickets? Really?
Thanks for your suggestions, everyone! I posted an inquiry in the Tech Support/Ticket thread and hopefully that will be looked at. At this point, it is more of the principle of the matter and why their support team isn’t all on the same page (or worse, they’re purposefully not granting refunds to certain individuals for unknown reasons).
It’s possible that one of the reasons that some people are getting refunds and some not, is if the gems were bought with real cash or gold.
I haven’t converted gold to gems in a very, very long time. I also wouldn’t have any gems left from that conversion. The only thing I can possibly think of is that it is because the gems spent on the Monk Outfit were from the Ultimate Heart of Thorns Edition. I don’t exactly see why that would make me ineligible for a refund, but that is one of the only things I can think of.
The only other reason I can think of is because I had a whole slew of town clothing refunded back when they did the huge changes to them. And… That’s not my fault. They should quit changing items so drastically post-launch of the item.
I submitted a refund request a second time and got the same message about being careful when i spend my gems but i got the refund anyway. i guess just keep submitting.
Wait, so they gave you a refund but didn’t give me one after saying that they would give me one?
So earlier in the day they told me they’d refund the outfit, but I didn’t want to say anything on here until the refund went through. I got another response this afternoon telling me that they couldn’t refund the outfit, BUT not to worry because the team is “aware of this issue and team members currently are working on addressing it”.
I guess I’ll wait until July 21st to see if anything happens before pressing the issue, again.
This is totally ridiculous. I know that they don’t have the tools to do a proper gem refund (you get to keep the refunded item even when they refund your gems), but that isn’t my problem. If I bought a faulty product from any semi-professional retailer (in the United States) I would be eligible for a refund, no questions asked. This lack of accountability is absolutely staggering.
And the really stupid thing is that they only lose 700 gems by keeping people happy! Yes, I know that will eventually be $10, but is that really worth upsetting those that want a refund for this outfit because the fix for it was bad?

Ultimately, Anet should just work on (and tell us they are working on) fixing the clipping issues while restoring the outfit to its original look.
Yup! Gaile was super awesome and replied to my Reddit thread saying she sent out a memo. But that isn’t the same as her saying, last week, that a fix was imminent. And, honestly, I don’t expect a fix to come any time soon (as I mentioned earlier in the thread). With how much pressure they’re under, I cannot imagine them visiting this outfit again any time soon to correctly fix it — I wouldn’t say that it’s necessarily unreasonable to expect them to fix it soon, but I understand they have far bigger things on their plate at the moment than one outfit that they have already patched.
I tried to ask for a refund for the outfit but they made it sound like i accidentally bought it and told me to be more careful in the future. i didn’t accidentally buy it, i just don’t like how they edited it and now i will never wear it…
I know a few people that have gotten a refund for the outfit, so I’m going to send in a ticket every day asking for a refund or until they actually fix the outfit. I suggest you try again until you either get a gem refund or the issue is fixed.
My refund request was denied on Tuesday too. Gaile mentioned that a memo was sent around the office in my Reddit thread, but I am extremely skeptical that they will have another chance any time in the near future to give this outfit a look while working on Heart of Thorns. Surely the outfit designers’ talents are needed elsewhere other than retouching the same outfit multiple times every week.
I have submitted another refund request because of that. They have already gone over the outfit once, and I do not expect them to try again any time soon. I wish they would just allow gem refunds for everyone affected by this issue.
I see why this outfit was pulled from the gem store. The clipping beforehand only seemed to occur on some body types (I was also mostly happy with it before), but now the skirt is ridiculously flared out. Also, my legs don’t connect to my body anymore?
So you fixed the issue for some people while breaking it for others. May I have a gem refund for this please?
http://i.imgur.com/xM1Vk40.png
http://i.imgur.com/ZPxH0N1.pngEdit: Added a human picture.
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Noble_Count_Outfit has exact same problem. It is less obvious of course but still noticeable when you run forward.
I’m sorry it has that issue. I don’t have that outfit. This is the first outfit that I bought after the town clothing changes (which is why I’m a bit sore on this issue).
I assume since the noble outfit is so long that the issue is not as noticeable as it is with this shorter skirt, though.
With the Monk Outfit the way it is currently, I don’t have to try very hard to notice that my legs are entirely see-through while moving.
It has not been pulled, you can still find it in the style section on the Gem Store.
It was pulled at the time of my original post and added back in with the latest hotfix.
I only noticed the clipping on my sylvari and it didn’t even bother me that much. The fix looks good for sylvari, but was the human skirt always so wide? Why change it for humans that didn’t seem to have a clipping issue before?
The human monk skirt was not always so wide (or flared out, as I put it). That’s another part of the problem is that the skirt now looks ridiculously wide and stiff now.
I just love running around knowing that I look like this from the front side!
Direct refund inquires to Support.
I am, but I still don’t think it’s right how they “fixed” the issue.
Updated July 28th, 2015
The July 28th patch fixed some of the issues (the invisible thighs were fixed — although the skirt is still bloated), but unfortunately added another issue. Human females now have no feet. Picture included!

I’m so glad I’ll be able to heartseeker spam someone to death easier now. Such a relief.
I do not like these changes to mobility. I would type out why I don’t like these changes, but:
1) The changes are apparently finished
2) Our feedback is never taken into consideration anyways.
I couldn’t send the message across the void using the character name information.
Possibly if I address it to the account instead? I’m not sure if that will work.
Hmm, we could try!
Levefre.4503 is her account name.
That seemed to work
So I got to the end of the Skipping Stones jumping puzzle and was having this issue (https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Jump-animation-bug-while-wielding-staff/first#post4967319) the whole time. I decided to log out before taking the chest to see if the glitchy animation issue would be corrected and the next thing I know I log back in in Lion’s Arch. Thanks so much. Every time I log out I’m sent somewhere else. This is freakishly annoying. Compounded with a ton of other issues/bugs not being addressed I’m about to lose it.
I’m not even going to bother trying to submit a formal bug report because I know it won’t be fixed. I’m tired of wasting my time. If you don’t care, why should I? I know programming and game development is difficult, but literally none of the bug reports I’ve sent in have been addressed. Some of them are over a year old at this point.
Having the same issue.
I agreed on all his points and felt the same way while watching the stream. A lot of major features they’re announcing should have been in the game at launch. In addition, I’m positive they have an idea for a launch window but they refuse to give that date out. It’s like they want to string along people that are interested in the game and force them to check the HoT website/social media to continue to stay on top of things GW2 related — in the case of Joe and his co-presenter, it looks like that failed.
Also, the PAX South presentation was extremely abstract. There were close to zero specific details on how any of this is going to work. As an abstract, or summary, the presentation looks kinda nice. When we start delving into the specific details, it may or may not be that great anymore. We just don’t know at this point, so I think it’s good that Joe is exercising caution in regards for his enthusiasm at this point (I know I’m skeptical too). Especially since this seems like a scheme to keep people obsessed with GW2/HoT.
What I mean by scheme is that I think their attempt to trickle release profession information (etc.) worked well for the initial launch of Guild Wars 2. At this point, to get any specific information for Heart of Thorns, I’m either going to have to stay (relatively) attached to this website and social media or not play this hype game. What new weapons will all the current professions be able to use? Only a select few were chosen for the reveal. Why did I have to go to an outside interview source to find out that you can swap your “ascended” profession at any time so long as you are out of combat (ex. from ranger to druid and vice versa)?
They’re going to have a closed beta available at PAX East. I guess I’ll just follow the hype train there to get another, potentially small, dose of information.

6 month ago this thread was started.kitten*ING 6 month we already waiting for tribal set and no luck even to see the answer from arenanet. No luck even to see that arenanet know about this thread…
A lot of us have been waiting so much longer than six months unfortunately.
The stretching thing I can almost see as being inappropriate (if you really want to be that picky). However, there is also a perfectly good kick-dirt animation missing.
Please fix this.
I would like to bring up a side complaint. People are completing a tournament WvW achievement in EotM. I feel like whats the point of even having achievements easy or difficult if you don’t even have to technically participate with your server to complete them.
Yes, seconded. The achievements list is small as it is, and only events in EB or the Borderlands should be honored toward the WvW achievements.
Why isn’t this back yet?
tl;dr Idle animations are low priority and should rightfully be so.
I could see how something like this could easily fall through the cracks and never be fixed, so I’m glad people are discussing and bumping this topic. Game breaking bugs should absolutely come first, but, at the same time, I’m glad this is on the radar (front page).
At least make it a repeat of Shadow of the Mad King. Blood and Madness was… disappointing, to say the least.
Bumped as a gentle reminder since it wasn’t fixed in today’s patch. The hair-touch spamming is annoying
Sweet lord there is so much rage and so many buttmad nerds here that are upset they can’t get their rocks off to their idle characters anymore. Please tell me more about how standing in place for extended periods of time enhances the immersion of the game whilist you AFK in Lion’s Arch.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion so it is not wrong to voice your thoughts on these changes. But the degree to which people are upset and the over dramatization of their feelings is so far out of line I can only conclude that it stems from places the posters don’t understand themselves. Ask yourself why you are so upset that you have to threaten leaving the game, insulting the dev’s and attacking other players over such a minor detail.Honestly the tone that people are leaving in their posts upsets me far more than any of the changes that have come with this patch. It’s really disgusting how spoiled these people are and makes me want to stop playing more than the changes themselves.
People have already answered your question numerous times. It’s the concept of taking things away that aren’t causing any reasonable problems. Had this not been a bug, it would have upset me. It’s like when Town Clothing was taken away. And despite me hardly playing SPvP, it reminds me of them ‘phasing’ out underwater combat by removing a whole map. I actually liked that map and the water portion of it. I enjoyed having to adapt to it — and it was the only map that presented that challenge. High Resolution screenshots being removed still bothers me (despite the feature only being available in Beta). Sit hopping being removed bothered me. Is it trivial? Yes! Was it causing any damage? Perhaps only to my sanity. So why was it removed?
Please, please, please make missing animations a bug….a huge part of the appeal of GW2 is the little quirks that animations and the like bring to the game.
Yes there are other animations like walking and running ones and yes the little quirks are really, really vital to the game whether people realize it or not. It’s like stopping to smell the roses – such a small thing can have a huge impact.
I hope they look into the other missing/changed animations as well since it’s a pretty old issue now that wasn’t looked into as far as I know.
Whenever I discuss the pros and cons of GW2 (and other MMOs), the animations in GW2 have always been a pro. In addition, they may be the best and most fluid in any MMO I’ve played. I’m glad that this is a bug and not intentional.
This bug has been reported and is currently under investigation. Thanks for your reports, everybody.
Thank you for the clarification!
This just comfirms that people will NEVER be satisfied whatever anet does. This kittenstorm of profanity comming their way just because they removed human female idle animation? Are you serious?? That’s why we can’t have nice things.
Uhmm… Why would anyone, that’s not a troll, be satisfied about this?
Can we have the old animations put back in please? I don’t understand why these were removed. Why are there so many things taken away in these feature patches? Even the small things add up.
Tribal armor (light armor set) seems to be missing entirely.
Looking around everywhere just to see if it made its way back into the game… No luck so far.
Well, uh, our in house testing showed that at least five billion testers out of two billion, uh, you see, uh… Had issues, uh, with the names only being represented, uh, once! So in efforts to make it more user friendly, we’ve decided to, uh, double, uh, the names seen on screen to avoid that confusion.
It doesn’t work for me anymore either…

Description: There’s a nasty bright red seam on the ‘Duelist Pants’ that is very noticeable in the butt area. I would guess that the seam isn’t supposed to be there; it looks very out of place (and inappropriate) like something didn’t line up correctly.
Heya! I’ve noticed this for awhile now, but I thought I would go ahead and file it in. There’s a nasty bright red seam on the Duelist Pants that is very noticeable in the butt area. I would guess that the seam isn’t supposed to be there; it looks very out of place (and inappropriate) like something didn’t line up correctly.
It is absolutely astonishing to me how much press Town Clothes are getting now that they’ve been changed. I never saw anybody use them, heard anybody talk about them, and I’ve never been inclined to buy them. Heck, the most I’ve heard about them has been “Man, let us wear Town Clothes in combat, bro!!”
Guess there’s always a hidden minority somewhere ready to get stepped on when something rather minor changes. Glad your experience was good, though.
Well, while I won’t try and argue that town clothing users were the majority (they obviously weren’t :P), I will say that on Tarnished Coast (and originally Crystal Desert) I saw people in town clothing all the time in cities.
I’m just glad that where the development team dropped the ball, the support team picked it up. Hopefully some others will have a little bit of their faith restored through a positive experience (although if they have a negative experience we’re interested in reading that here too — constructively).
And that is another reason why I felt the need to make a thread regarding the outcome of the refunds. I don’t feel like they cut corners with me or tried to scam me. Also, someone asked me earlier if I was going to go on a spending spree with $60 worth of gems — No, I’m not. I’m going to casually use them over the course of two years (or however long), which means less income for ArenaNet. It feels almost satisfying to know that the development of town clothing hurt Anet more than myself in the end. That isn’t meant to be a cruel statement — that is the way business practice should be in my opinion. If a company makes a mistake, it should cost the company more than the customer.
The only way I can see a gem refund being a bad thing is if you were planning on quitting the game, and, if that is the case, you should be asking for a cash refund.
I read somewhere there was a time limit (early July, I think) on the request for a refund, but I can’t find it at the moment. It was a thread started by Anet.
I think the Riding Clothes tonic combined the shoes and gloves to make an additional Riding Clothes tonic (in addition to the pants). Or something weird like that. Who knows.
So, thankfully, I had a positive experience on my town clothing refund. While I’m still not super ecstatic, I feel the refund given was fair.
I can also say, while my refund request was not rude, my refund ticket did express my discontent with what they had done, and it was more on the irritated side than the extremely formal and pleasant side.
The support team answered and fulfilled my refund request very early this morning — on Easter. So respect must be given there. I wouldn’t expect anyone to be working with tickets a little after midnight PDT on Easter Sunday (whether Christian or otherwise is unimportant — it’s not only a weekend, but late at night, a holiday, etc.).
The following is what items I requested to have refunded:
1 Cook Outfit (700 gems)
2 Endless Country Lace Clothing Tonics (200 gems ea.)
1 Endless Cherry Blossom Clothing Tonic (200 gems)
2 Endless Casual Hoodie Clothing Tonics (200 gems ea.)
1 Endless Designer Hoodie Clothing Tonic (400 gems)
3 Endless Khaki Clothing Tonics (150 gems ea.)
2 Boxing Gloves (300 gems ea.)
1 Endless Layered Vest Clothing Tonics (200 gems)
2 Endless Riding Clothes Tonic (200 gems ea.? <Strange item>)
1 Medium Krytan Armor Set (500 gems)
————————————————————————————————————————————-
Total: 4250 gems
Stuff I didn’t expect to have refunded, but requested anyways:
1 Sport Sunglasses (150 gems) (A duplicate: I had bought two)
1 Aviator Sunglasses (150 gems) (A duplicate: I had bought two)
1 Phantom’s Hood (200 gems)
————————————————————————————————————————————-
Total: 500 gems
I received 4810 gems in the refund, and I was expecting 4750 gems to break even. The variance of 60 gems may or may not be due to the weirdness of the Riding Clothes Tonic.
Obviously the most desired outcome would have been to not have this happen to town clothing in the first place, but for the most part it feels as if town clothing had never happened (with exception to my Dragon Emblem shirt — still upset about that).
So, if anyone is hesitant about submitting a ticket for a refund, this was my experience and outcome.
Yes, can we please just do nothing to town clothes instead? Can we please keep the town clothes tab/interface/etc as is currently? Please? Please? Pretty please?
