I would like to see some of our questions answered, we are paying customers after all.
If you are dropping support for the mac client, let us know.
If you have plans to fix it somehow, let us know.

As it is now, you have sold us a broken product and give us the silent treatment.

So please, give us some answers so we know what is happening.

Are we going to see some update to the wrapper or are you going to continue with the silent treatment?

shaden, what are you current in-game settings? I’m referring to things like character limit, and such. This sounds like an out of memory error, which is rather common with Cider due to it emulating 32-bit Windows.

Ouch .. the big zones of HoT seem to make 32-Bit windows crash fast even with
very low settings. So i fear the times of Cider are counted.

Since actual Macs are in the end normal intel PCs, isn’t it simply possible to install
a dual-but of Mac-OS and Windows on such a machine and simply play under
Windows. Or is it just that Mac Users hate MS so much ?

And no, this is no insult or whatever .. i really ask out of pure curiosity.

Else you should maybe ask NVidia for a 64-Bit Cider version.

When I bought GW2 for mac, it did not come with a copy of windows.

I have all setting on the lowest and still crash every 15-30 minutes. The client was ok until the EotM patch and now they finally broke it with HoT.

Just so you guys know, crashing isn’t exclusive to the Mac client. It has been very hard to play the expansion. Yesterday when they released the patch, my client crashed and I was forced to update, what made me lose the Tarir event at Auric Basin with my guild. I was playing on Windows 10.

So far we have 2 problems, the client itself is problematic and the Mac wrapper is bad.

I am also a Mac user who would love to play the game on OS X, but ANet is using DX9 and there is no change in the foreseeable future, so there is no hope for us. We can only hope Anet to take the opportunity on the next expansion (yes, that far) to completely remake their graphics engine to support more modern graphics API, such as DX12 or Vulkan, which can be easily translated to Metal.

As far as Aspyr is concerned, forget about it. ANet needs to release game patches very quickly, that is not how Aspyr works.

I’m sorry that you crashed yesterday.. but I have crashed atleast 10 times just today.
I have missed out on rewards and xp from numerous events and boss fights.

To even be able to play the new areas, I have to have ALL my settings on the lowest.. and it makes the game look like kitten. And STILL the client crash every 15 minutes and usually just before an event finishes or boss dies to annoy me as much as possible.
Just fix the client already!

Keep the outer ring with symbols but remove or let us turn off the inner circle.

You can also keep an eye on the Open World section in the LFG tool

In the new areas during the BWE’s, the client crash pretty much every 10 minutes. I’m afraid that HoT will be pretty much unplayable for me.

Can we please, please get some feedback on this?

Genesis is right, what you described is pretty much exactly a WoW Demonology Warlock.
(And yes, you can Metamorphosis to enter demon form and get new skills.. and your power source is Demonic Fury).

This is still very much an issue, I still can’t do group events or wvw without crashing after a few minutes.
Can we please get an update on this?

Yes, I would also like to see a progress bar for that. It also seems that when it finishes you stand there with your back against the target not doing anything. It should end with you facing the target and auto attacking.

Yes, of course I tried that.

I can confirm this, the last patch ruined the game for me.

This still happens a couple of times a day, could we please get an update. Is it something that will be looked at with the expansion or are we going to have to live with it?

I still crash on all large scale events if I don’t turn all graphic options to low or off.

This is getting really annoying, please give us an update.

Hi there, I’m afraid that you are going to see crashes on World Bosses and large events all the time. You can minimize the risk of crashing by setting all graphic setting to low and off, but you are still going to get the dreaded grey, white or black screen.

It’s a shame to have to do that since one of the reasons I play GW2 is that it’s a stunning game.

EDIT: The error messages also state that a report was sent to Arenanet, so some poor guy over there must be spammed by these, I get around 5 crashes a day.
