Am I seriously the only one who thinks that Ranger has a very decent Long Range dmg?
Anyway you can go Rifle Warrior or Rifle Engineer.
You will find no better Ranged class if you think those I suggest are bad. Max. Revenant with Hammer, would still be nice one.

I’ve always heard it’s not too great with the bows. I’m not sure. I can always try Ranger out.
Not sure on engineer as it always seems more of a utility class than one for long range.

I’m going to assume the rifle I tried on Warrior with the level 80 boost trial is bad? That or probably didn’t know the right build for it as rifle on Warrior was doing really bad damage.

Tbh you’d be throwing the gear out anyway, it’s soldier’s stats. If you wanna try the profession out, go to PvP.

I know. That’s why just wasting money to simply try it out doesn’t seem like a good idea.
Does the PVP area have a good spot to simply test all the weapons and skills out that isn’t against a player?

Also if I recall you only unlock PVP after a certain level.

So it’s not worthwhile to really level 80 boost to try things out and just level it gradually from 1 to 80 to see if I like the profession. Thanks anyway.

It sounds like you heard that demo characters, those which players could make during the Heart of Thorns demo or the Path of Fire demo could select from a bunch of stat sets and try out all weapon types for their class. These events were done on temporary characters, and are different from the Level-80 Boost experience which you have.

You’ll actually get to keep those items that you’re given, and keep any further (and hopefully more useful) items that you find while exploring that map.

That wasn’t what I was referring to. I knew about the PoF demo weekends and did some testing on them but not fully, especially when it was stuck on the PVP and WVW maps only.
Before those trial weekends I had gotten my level 80 boost already and decided to try out before those trials that I heard you can try out the class and weapons on it.
I saw no way of doing it during then, then heard there might be a way to do that once again but the person did not tell me how which is why I came to making this topic as I’m not getting how I get to try out the weapons or not from the guy offering them or not.

So he doesn’t give me items to actually test out then.
Would also like that “From a vendor or the TP” isn’t in the 1:30 video.

So if you don’t know, I don’t see why you’re trying to answer my question.

Um… no it’s not as that’s the same video I saw before.
The only thing he sells me is the stuff I started off with if I accidentally got rid of the equipment during the trial.

Like right now I’m on Ranger and all I see from him when I pick “I need equipment” is:
Soldier’s Green Wood Harpoon Gun
Soldier’s Bronze Greatsword
Soldier’s Bronze Spear
Soldier’s Green Wood Longbow

There is no other weapon that Ranger can use that he sells to me.
How do I get the other weapons that Ranger can use?

I’ve heard mention that there’s a way to be able to get the level 80 mentor NPC to give me other weapons that he starts me off with to try out other weapons on the class.

The problem is… how do I even do that? I don’t see an option or a way to let’s say make him give me a short bow on Ranger, or Pistols on a Thief and so on and so forth.

Ah.
Such a shame… Guess I’m stuck with Elonian Envoy.

Unlocked the Ghost Buster one about a week ago and just can’t find a way to select it under titles.

That’s something I’m starting to notice too. Most of my female characters are medium/heavy, so it’s only after really getting in to Necro that I’m finding very few skins for the sensible soul reaper. What’s up with that?
What really sucked was the awesome looking vigil honor thing for males turning into the terrible tube tob for females.

Yeah, but the problem I have with that bottom is look at the belt/waist. It seems to have only been made just for it’s top as the belt is outside the body’s form.

Its really not as bad as you make it seem. Very few light female armors in the game show “panties” unless you’re deliberately moving the camera around, swimming, or flying, the most notable one being the Human Cultural T3 which is deliberately designed to show them off because of its expense.

Most of the light armors are actually long dresses with a few miniskirts. Its a shame that pants are completely missing for the most part though. As far as I know there is only one pair of pants in the whole game for light females.

I recommend looking at GW2 Style http://gw2style.com/ as people on there tend to come up with alot of interesting, out-of-the-ordinary looks.

I mean yeah long dresses aren’t bad, but not close to a style I would ever really wear.
And yeah, I wouldn’t have a problem with the Priory one… if I didn’t see my panties in my face every time I deploy my glider which is quite often.

Just a bit weird as Medium leggings have a mixture of everything, Heavy too. Light seems to have… I think 3?

Outside of Embroidered and Illustrious (sort of) there are no bottoms that are just pants. I usually run around in the pirate outfit to have pants.

I originally wanted to buy the Pirate outfit, until I did research that outfits are not skins that you can mix and match. I only liked the pirate pants and didn’t like the rest of the look so I never cared to buy it after that.

I originally thought the priory would’ve been great until I noticed it’s just cloth leggings up until under the cheeks and then it’s panties galore.

It’s weird I can get a Reaper hood but it’s almost hard to get a reaper look with all of the skin showing.

The Devout works with nothing but it’s top due to it making the side of the hips looking like the top of a soda can.
The Guild Archmage doesn’t exist no more and everything else is either tights, pantyhose, skirts, or just panties.
