well to be honest sword and axe off hand is the main source of dps for power builds .
sword got remvap so you might check it out if you did not play along time ago
Keep in mind that’s done with PvP equipment, in PvE with ascended weapons/armor etc it’s gonna be a fair bit higher.
Obviously we’ll have to wait until we can actually try it on the raid golem, but it looks a LOT better than any power option we have right now. Maybe it’s gonna be a viable choice, maybe it won’t, but I wouldn’t throw power soulbeast into the trash can already.

as you can see the power soul beast has two attack F3 and maul that work with sick em to do good dmg and after that it is pretty crappy so why whould raid team accept your friends whould take you as apower soul beast while you can take druid and actully buff power tempest?

well power is going to be affective only at pvp or wvw , the dps is not so great for raids or at least for top raid . if you want to be affective in raids i think druid is te optimal choise
nice videos man , but your clearly and pro melee ranger , so with or without soulbeast you will still look good. also i appreciate that you did not use sic em. and still did not see what soul beast add to you, well mechanic is nice F3 but nothning more , you use bear stance but in my opinon we heal as one is still way better

I have to disagree with most things the 2 people above me posted.
Soulbeast offers the ranger more than any other elite spec currently in the game does.
It gives you so many options, it’s a jack of all spec basically.- For PvE condi and hybrid dps specs will use Soulbeast over Core ranger
- Power ranger could be a thing, but I honestly think Soulbeast was made with the new hybrid damage set in mind.- I don’t know why you would think soulbeast is weak in roaming, if you think that you obviously haven’t looked close enought to the Beastmaster trait line and how it benefits Soulbeast greatly. Or how the shouts benefit you when in Beastmode.
- For WvW and PvP Bear stance has to be the best thing that could happen for rangers, you have an equal stun break trait as Druid’s CA has, stances and its mastery are actually very potent in WvW.
In general Soulbeast gives you a lot of options. How all that is going to play out in the end is just a guessing game, but you can’t look at soulbeast and think it is worse then a core spec, because it is not.
i really have to disagree with you , itried play power soul beast and in the end beside F3 and smock scale F2 its not good, no reasone to take stance
and as for condi no reason to take dagger … and stance
so we are going to get the second gen of the e spec which gen do you think its better for each class?
for me as ranger main druid so far seems better .

after playing the stress test ican tell you dont worrie druid future is safe , soul beast future is something that you should be worrie about right know is basiclly avanilla ranger who can merge with pet and nothing more
after playing this stess test with soul beast iwant to change the rate from 4 to 0

build diversty : 8 can make an opportunity for power build – prbolomes – power build lean on sic em and as we know arenet history it is going to be nerf so i expect that withn one month only condi build ill be meta ..
profesion wepon: 1 dagger is nice idea but dmg very bad and the animation is a shame for 2017 e spec .
stance : 4 they are nice only if traited .. and so far it is seems that elite skill ill stay either strengh of the pack or entragle so this is the second elite spec that have bad elite skill arenet need to think about it alot sorry..

well to be honst thief is more adps class then ranger atm but ranger has much more durabillity so its kind of trade off iguss and iknow that daredevil is batter then dead eye so idont know .. for me the most annoing part of soulbeast is the animations ..
but yeha dagger should get more boost but we ill see and thief dagger is adps wepon while soul beast dagger is like condi wepon i guss

well for me i kind stuck becuse ihave alredy twighlight and dont know what leg should i pick next i mean long bow seems the pick but idont like kudzu
im fine with soulbeast beeing power , since we alredy have condi as top tier of the class, and espec its about another play style

It’s worse than every classes’ top dps build, just barely above condition mesmer, and it only works against stationary foes at point blank range while flanking, and need to count in pet as well. (Around 3k dps from a fully buffed pet, so our actual dps is even worse than condition mesmer)
Ranger is now officially the worst dps class in the whole game because our traits are weak and spreading all over the place. (You need to grab 3 lines just to get the condition traits within ranger)
Soulbeast condition will be even worse than core ranger that’s for sure.
All it gets is a 10% modifier that will never work on any boss.
i mean ranger condi is at good place not the best but with druid its good if soul beast ill be about power im ok with that
im fine with soulbeast beeing power , since we alredy have condi as top tier of the class, and espec its about another play style

hi all , i really need help ihave been ranger main for 4 yers and after all the frustraited with soul beast ireally want to love him but have hard time to do so ..
my top disappiontment is the animation and it is really feels like core and nothing new like the rest of the prof , also i mainly pve and did not like to play helaer but its ok i did stick with druid but soul beast dose not seems like pve spec any way so far .
so far this is my pros and cons :
pros :
feels much more connection to the ranger rather then druid
maybe power build ill be vable ?
cons:
no new animation really sad – feel like core thief ( i want to qoute they become thier pet from the trailer – aint feel like that , its feel like some sort of legendaries trinkets aura)
dagger feels kind of slow
sick em pobbley going to be nerf or adjust to soul beast
core pet still no match to e spc pets
tell me your postive things and help me to love it ( i made pieace with my self that it is goind to be at least visually by far wosre then the rest but it is my main )

Are you serious? Soulbeast is a good class. People don’t know how to play the new specs and that’s why people say that they suck. You need alot of practice. No one could play the tempest on day one.

How is soul beast useless? Even if you continue to play as a power range build, beast mode now gives you even more stats bonus. I am literally speechless when people claim specs that are working fine as underpower, meanwhile actual specs that are badly designed like renegade are being said fine.

hello guys there is really really big problome with the soul beast and this is the animtion the other aspecs seems ok but in the visuall we where left behind by far , when you see all these new toys that the rest of the classes got and the animations i got jeluos. so far soul beast animation feel very resycal of thief animation and dagger failed to grand the feeling on animal paw .
one thing that really bugged me is that when you are at beast mode no new animation imean you hit the same and you actully have an animal insaid of you this is not ok!!!
also f1-f3 animation while is beast mode need some love too in some areas igoota say that iwas really dissapointed when we did not get stelth with jugar while hot and pof got new skills why would i bothere with old pet? sorry for grammer
