If you are traited for mark of evasion try this: Gather up the mobs and
1)Death shroud with the enfeebling blood and retaliation traits, then cast 2 and exit death shroud
2) You are in melee range so dodge roll for mark of evasion on top of them and cast staff 2 & 3.
3) Switch to Daggers and cast 5
4) Cast epidemic.
-Everyone is now frozen, bleeding, poisoned & weakened.
I have a level 56 necro and a level 45ish Mesmer. I had started the mesmer before my necro and it felt really powerful, more so than any other class. I was able to take on Champs and manage to stay alive for a long time while whittling them down. Was starting to get bored and heard that the Necro is the red headed step child of all the classes. Call me a machosist but I seem to gravitate to those type of classes.
So I get my Necro to 56 and working toward my Jekyl & Hyde build and am feeling really powerful. I don’t play with any pets and feel that playing this class has made me a much better player.
Since then I have gone back to the Mesmer for a bit to dabble around and miss all of the condition removal from the Necro. I miss the survivability when situations get really out of hand.
I like a lot of the other classes but I love my necro.

Yeah, I wasn’t sure how quickly my LF would generate and some spectral skills would be the next thing I would swap in for play testing.
I like to use the weapons interchangeably, utilizing all of the cool downs. Basically I’m casting the marks, dodging to stack extra bleeds and getting regeneration then switching to daggers to dps, rooting and siphoning health, transfering conditions, etc.
I think any reduction in damage due to toughness in Death Magic is offset by the siphoning skills in blood.
I think everything synergizes nicely with constant spamming of deathshround to get retribution, enfeebling blood and heals which is quickly being replenished with marks and dagger.
Death Shroud, once you master it…
My necro is only level 55, and I’m working towards this build while I’m leveling, but was wondering how everyone will think it will be in WvW? You need to blend in power with condition damage.

Basically your bouncing in & out of death shroud, regenerating and causing damage at the same time.
The flesh golum can be switched out for Plague.
Basically, i’ve just been theorycrafting so not sure how this build would play out in pvp. What are your thoughts/critiques.
I’m not sure the work necessary to implement, but my suggestion is:
1) When you are in your trait tree, (i.e. trait reduces spectral skills by 20%) and you mouse over that trait, all skills tied to that trait pop up.
or/and
2) Make it so when viewing skills, add a sorting option to group all (using the same example) spectral skills.
Im pretty new to the necro and am currently at work but was wondering if you cast a bunch of marks and switch to DS, do you still get LF from the marks being triggered?
I think a lot of people here are being overly critical of OP. Sure he may have used sensationalist language & was vague (secretive), but it is no reason to be snide.
Posting for quicklink to watch video tomorrow.

I was like you OP. I started an engineer but was finding it pretty boring. I switched to my Necro and think he is a blast. Just got to level 40 last night and did AC storymode with this character for the first time. Very survivable. I don’t use any minions and was dropping a lot of wells all the time, as well as marks. In tight situations pop ino DS and rinse and repeat.
EasymodeX, I was just suggesting that they persist for a period of 5 seconds of inactivity. Which would not make it a pet class. This fixes the problem of 2 second lifespan mobs.
My suggestion is a tweak to a mesmer class to combat group DE’s in PVE in which mobs last two seconds.
I feel that by allowing clones to survive for 5 seconds after a mob death it would allow the mesmer the opportunity to fully utilize their class ability.
Basically if a mob dies, it will stick around and attack the next mob you attack. If the mob dies and you don’t attack within 5 seconds, then the clone disappears.
I think if they tweaked Mesmers illusions/Phantasms so that they didn’t die immediately with the death of a mob. Change it so that they would stick around and attack a new targt you attack but disappear after 5 seconds of inactivity.
This would solve the problem that everyone has been in with group PVE when the mob dies in 2 seconds.
Somewhere in the class description, ANet needs to add: “this is not a pet class”.
I don’t think OP is trying to get it to be. I think by having the illusions stick around for about 5 seconds of inactivity solves the problem of a two second mob lifespan.
I agree on OP’s main point that the illusions should not die when a mob dies. When mobs are going down in two seconds the illusions and phantasms dont even have enough time to shatter. They should stick around until they are killed or shattered and maybe disapear after 5 seconds of inactivity.
As the title states and I also would like to know if I can increase how many people you see on screen at once?
I was in WvW and was getting killed by invisible people because most were not loaded on screen.
Yakity yak, don’t come back.
As the title states. I was quickly looking this morning and couldn’t find out where I upgrade my storage capacity.
Gw2 is better because it has jump.
I’m currently level 46 and gain three initiative and apply poison with stealing.
