Hope you are excited as I am for the new expansion. I think this game is progressing in a good way, but there is always room for more improvements.
I never wanted to mention this issue before since the game was new and I always thought they’ll come to it eventually. But then came HoT and again I thought let them be they have their hands full with other things. But now I think it is time for devs to address this issue.
The thing is about the performance in GW overall. A lot of people having performance issues with fairly decent hardware. I for once would like to have a decent frame rate, not to drop when I enter WvW fights or LA or any order crowded area.
The thing is, it can become unbearable or even unplayable at the moments. Sometimes it’s like a slide show in power point and that is unexceptable for a game this old with second expansion underway.
I was talking to a lot of players in the game and 70% of them are experiencing the same issue but they say they are used to it. I think this issue needs to be addressed and fixed.
Plese, try to optimize the game to utilize the hardware better.
I’ll provide some screenshots of in the game (settings presets: Best performance/Autodetect/Best performance) where u can see the settings and FPS for given area.

I am open for the debate. But I would really like to see this issue addressed by the devs.

Agreed, but still we need to report every bug. So Anet if this was a mistake here is a +1 bug to fix on your list.
Hello everybody. I don’t know if this was intentionally or maybe it is a bug but my loading picture is smaller after the patch.
Anybody have the same experience?

Yea that all stands but the thing is that they can focus on improving our gameplay experience instead of just throwing at us new lvl caps and new gear that we need to collect.
I’m just happy that my hard progression towards some items and gear will NOT go to waste every time new expansion comes along, that’s all.
Now they can spend their time on important things like gameplay experience and character progression instead of wasting time on inventing new gear and skills that comes with new lvls.
That’s why I welcomed their idea, that’s why I though of it as a fresh idea, that’s why I’ll keep playing Guild Wars 2 AND that’s why they will get my money!

I’m excited that legendaries will still be top, because I’m still trying to get one! It would be disheartening to have done all that work, finally get a legendary, and it be not the best gear anymore.

When they announced that the Hearth of Thorns will be the first expansion to GW2 I was a little worried. But as soon as Mike O’Brien started talking my fears were washed away, here is why.
I played a lot of MMORPGs before GW2 and the one thing that always turned me down as much as I liked it, was the EXPANSION. But why you may ask? Expansions are supposed to be good, right? They bring new life to the game, new thrills, etc.
Well they do, but the ONE thing that always turned me down was the endless grind. You put all that effort into leveling your character, gathering gear and then once you think you are done, they hit us with new expansion. Then we have to start all over again. New lvl cap, new gear and so on and so forth. When Mike O’Brien said that the lvl cap will be intact and the existing best gear will still be the best, I stood up in my chair and clapped from joy.
Well done Anet, WELL DONE INDEED! Finally I can continue to play my favorite game even after the expansion comes out! GOODBYE to endless grinding, welcome new fresh ideas!!!
Anet, other companies need to start learning by your example, you are different, but different in a good way. I can not thank you enough that someone like you came along to the gaming industry. Gaming industry needs a fresh start! My thanks will not stay only on words in this post I will continue to support you with my money as I was before.

Well it’s not that there is something that can’t be found in the game world. It’s just a MEGA convenience to have all in one place.
A lot of people talk about items form the store are not worth the price. A lot of them maybe are not worth the price, but since this is a game without a subscription fee I will gladly buy it just to support the developers for such a great game.

Of course it is free to go to your WvW home, and when you are done go straight back where you came from. Alternately, you can take the gate to Lion’s Arch.

Didn’t know there was “The royal terrace” LOL, silly me.
It would be cool if they put a waypoint in there once you buy the pass so you don’t have to send the pass to every other character you want it to use.
It could be a cool feature.

Oh boy oh boy, my valet is ready for some Silver-Fed Salvage-o-Matic, going in game ASAP to buy it =)
My valet will also be happy to see some golden Captain’s Airship Pass. I just hope I will not miss it when it comes to gem store.

I support what they did with the megaservers. It is a good idea, don’t turn it off.
I love when there is more players. When I see no1 on the map the game just feels dead.
Putting us together feels alive and more fun.

Ok thank you for your answers. I just hope that Anet will leave it lying in store for a longer time next time they put it (PLEASE PUT IT), since not all of the players can be in game every day or week.

Hello to all.
My question is will the Molten Mining Pick be available to buy again from the store?
Since at the moment there are Fused Molten Sickle and Fused Molten Logging Axe available to buy I was hoping to own a complete set.
I’m afraid to buy these two just to end up having the 2/3 of the whole set on my character. I would like to own a complete set.
Since I work a lot I missed the mining pick when it was on sale and I heard it was for limited time only.
So will it be back at some point in the store or not?
If someone form Anet can answer this I would be much obliged, and not only that, I will rush off to buy this two molten tools ASAP =)

I have really strange problem.
When I try to log in via: “https://account.guildwars2.com/login” I can not login. No matter how hard I try to enter my account information correctly.
I’m using my email and password.
So,
I can login to the game and play it,
I can login to the forums, and via link on the forum I can access my account, but,
I can not log in to my account when I go through that official web site.
I’m pretty sure that I’m entering my login information correctly because I double check it every time.
So can any1 else confirm for me that they can’t login as well or is it just me ?

Please Arena.net give us the tab for minis. Every other game has it ! I just lack the motivation to spend money to buy them because I have to keep them in my bag. Hope it won’t take you to long until you put that feature online, because when it hits online more people will spend money to buy minis.

I know its been some time since anyone posted here, but I would like to give two more suggestions to the Mobile Authenticator system, here they are:
1. I use a lot of programs where a Google Authenticator is required, and in every one of them when the program asks for a authentication code the box where I need to fill in the code is already marked. Its done so that the user does not have to go with a mouse and select it to enter a code. So basically it would be a good thing that in the Game Client in GW2 the box for authentication code is already selected. I know its not a BIG issue but it would be nice thing to make it automatically selected so we don’t need to click on it before entering the code.
2. More important one, while you returned the option that the authentication code is asked upon login to the game, you haven’t returned the same option when we log in to the account on your sites. So basically its a safety breach.

I couldn’t agree more with you guys, a mini tab in hero screen is a MUST. Every other game has it. Please Arena.net give us the mini tab. But please give us some of the options like “always ask for authenticator” and “Only use Authenticator on not remembered networks” or similar.

PLEASE GIVE US a tab for minis on hero screen so we don’t need to go to the bank to switch them every time we want a new mini by our side and also that we can summon them from the tap so we don’t need to hold a space in our bag for the one we are using ! I BEG YOU !!!

LOL, ok, I got the same message and go right ahead and change it. My last password that I used before for GW2 was: “76O8z#T5$!nnaR3LnQ0e”, dunno why they told me to change it (thought it was pretty solid). But now I have new one also randomly generated and just to be more sure I added the mobile authenticator. =)

Is the passive effect of Signet of Rage bugged or I don’t understand the effect ? It says it grants adrenaline regeneration as passive effect, but my adrenaline is at 0%. Does it only grants that effect during combat or it should grant it always ?

I experienced that within humans story line cinematic audio dialog just stops, but animation keeps going. On several story cinematic the dialog sound just stops. It’s not a big problem but would be good to check it out.

I would really like if arena.net would prolong the character slots for +3. It’s because I would like to play with all 8 professions but with current only five characters slots I can’t. If you could add +3 more I would love you and be everlasting thankful for it !
BTW game is already awesome and keep up the good work, but pls add more character slots. =)

I’m on the “Whiteside Ridge” server. It is an European server, and when I log in during my day time then in the game is night, and when I log in during night time then in the game is day. I asked other players and they sad that they experience the same visual error. It is not a big problem but it spoils my gaming experience, it would be nice if you could fix that.

You can see in the screenshot that it’s a day time in-game, and on my map it clearly shows that I’m playing at night (1:48 AM).
Thank you for responding. But I finally figured it out !
Since I’m using internet of university, our administrator blocked the ports (dunno why). Now I just connect via my smartphone and use mobile connection, not the fastest connection but still better then not playing the game at all.
I’m going in game now and hope this topic actually helps someone !

Yesterday I got an email from arena.net that they are selling the game again. I rushed to buy the game which gone pretty well. I bought it, registered an account and download the game with no problems. But when I try to log in this massage appears: “The game client is unable to gain access to the log-in server at this time. This is most commonly caused by firewall or router settings, security applications, or connecting through a campus network. For additional support, please visit http://support.guildwars2.com.”.
So I googled the problem and it appears that lots of people have the same problem, but none seems to know the fix for it and how log do we need to wait for the massage to disappear. I have been trying to log-in since yesterday but this massage keeps popping up. Is it normal because of the server overflow or did it had to go away by this time and if it did what do I need to do to fix it ?

P.S.
I disabled my antivirus and firewall but it’s been no help whatsoever.
