Hey there! I’m glad to see that you found our name interesting enough to check us out! There are plenty of recruitment posts out there and you may be confused about which guild would suit you the best. We understand that, we’ve all been there once. Finding the right guild can be difficult. I’ll do my best to explain exactly what My Elephant Goes [TOOT] does and what you can expect from us!

When I first joined I was concerned that [TOOT] would be just another guild looking to pad out their ranks, but shortly afterwards when I got introduced to my fellow tooters I started enjoying how open and friendly everyone was. The atmosphere in the guild is what makes us ‘tootiful’. Everyone can be themselves, play the game, and have a laugh with each other. We have players from all around; short, tall, young, and old. We don’t care as long as we can provide everyone with an enjoyable gaming experience!

Bu- but.. I am relatively new to the game!
Don’t worry! We have both new and veteran players who all join us in plenty of content. Everyone in the guild is willing to explain something new or to lend a hand to one another. Like an elephant herd, hah! Oh wait, they don’t have hands… We do however have Teamspeak and toot to each other. It’s our way to communicate when we roam, do fractals or just want to have a chit-chat. Though no one is obligated to talk over voice chat. It’s completely optional!

Alright, so what happens after I join?
You can continue to play the game exactly as you did before! Except, now you’ve got an elephant herd to keep you company! You can join us on our fractal runs; roam with fellow tooters in World vs World; play PvP and flip desks together; complete maps around the world of Tyria; raid with the herd or simply socialize with fellow tooters!

Our guild is currently level 69 and located in the Gilded Hollow. The herd currently has a size of 166 members with a stable 18 members active at a time. We do not advertise in-game to grow significantly, instead we look for people who are interested in joining a guild for the long run.

Right, so what is this Guild Hall you speak of?
Funny that you should mention that! In our Guild Hall you will find the following things;

  • A Tavern with boosters for all sorts of game-content. These will last for 24 hours and will help you significantly!
  • Vendors with various special elephant goodies;
  • A guild arena to duel or team fight fellow members;
  • A graveyard to memorize the most glorious fails;
  • Heroic grounds, glorious moments that should not be forgotten;
  • Maximum synthesizers, to gather your daily materials;
  • A guild portal to various locations;
  • Our own homemade jumping puzzle;
  • Various places to relax and drink a cup of tea!

I hope that with this information I got you as excited as I am and that we may meet soon! If you still have unanswered questions, I would be more than happy to answer them for you either here or in-game with a whisper/mail at: Bepbopbip.7486

You’ve got me interested! One last thing though… what about representation?
Simple! If you don’t want to represent the guild; don’t do it. We don’t want to force you. Instead we believe that we as a guild should earn your representation. If we see you represent us then we know that you’re proud to do so!

It’s tough out there, good luck with or without us! Tooooot!

KIlled Xera didn't get Credit

I’ve had the same issue with killing Xera. I got the reward chest but not the achievement/kill credit. I send a ticket and they cannot manually add achievements to an account even though you got the goblet as kill proof. I was told to submit the issue as a bug report to the Dev team so that they could look further into it. But sadly we know that pile is so big that they will not reach my ticket until 2018. I hope they really fix this problem

Suggestion: Inventory lock

Howdy!

I haven’t seen a topic about locking your armor, trinkets and weapons in your inventory yet, so I thought I’d make one. Personally I have ran into this problem quite a few times and I was wondering if more people have ran into this.

Scenario: you are casually killing things when you suddenly see an exotic/ascended piece of gear in your inventory! Buuuut then you realize you have accidently equipped a masterwork/fine piece of armor that you have picked up along the way. Maybe I am just silly but I have salvaged exotic gear before which happend to be my own gear. ^^’

Solution: simply to make a little lock icon which locks all your currently equipped gear. To lock/unlock you simply toggle it on and off. Perhaps it’s overdo, but I would love to have this option.

Good day!

Suggestion: Portals

Or use the already existing “out of range” red bar below the skill.

The thing is a-net already said that this is difficult because of some spaghetti coding. I find it hard to believe considering that they can compute our distance to a point on the mini-map and that they can kitten if the portal is valid when cast… But well, at least they know we want it.

The already existing “out of range” red bar? I don’t see any red bar when I cast the portal skill at all. Nor when I am hovering over the skill icon.

Howdy,

So ArenaNet already gave us the timer indicator on the portal, which is very useful. But I cannot be the only one that would love to have a range indicator too. Simply to see if the portal would connect within its range. Perhaps a little marker on the map where you first placed it and it would perhaps change color when you’re out of range? Or maybe just another icon on your buffbar that shows you whenever you are in range or not. I cannot count the amount of times where I tried to portal a friend up and I was out of range! Hah, just my idea that I think many others would love to see too.

If it bothers you that much, stop at crafting Sunrise instead – there’s no stat difference between the two. Or just use transmutes.

Personally I hate the things, they look horrific and the effects are horrible when combined with high movement GS skills – Guardian and Warrior 2 spring to mind.

Well, I do like the shiney shaft as well as it’s footprints better than Sunrise itselfs, unfortunately. Otherwise I would have switched yes. ;o

Texture bug?

Haya!

I was doing map completion earlier and when I made my way into certain caves, some textures came out really strange. Am I the only one having this issue? Or have more of you seen this?

Heya!

I know this has been suggested a few times before but it would be such an amazing option. What is this option you speak of? Well, as most of you know the Eternity switches during day- and night time. Both being complete opposite colors, dawn is more bright (orange/white/yellow) while dusk is more (black, abyss, night). They do not fit in one dye scheme, either it’s off during day or either night. My personal preference goes to the dawn version, I love the bright shiney orange blade! But when it turns night my character bugs me because it doesn’t fit well together anymore. I’d not only help me but everyone else who has eternity if there were to be an option to toggle between dawn and dusk. I am not a techincal person to know whenever that is easy or hard to make but from what I have seen, it shouldn’t be all too hard? It’s a minor thing that would help me and probably a lot of other players out as well!

Farming

Farm-wise you could try and kill icebroods, destroyers, elementals, ghosts and even norn to gain “Gilded Strongboxes”. Also as mentioned, you can check map bonus rewards, they cycle. Creatures of level 80 can drop them by regular as well, think of Fractals, Dungeons etc. Hope that helps!

Revenant taunt bug

in Bugs: Game, Forum, Website

Posted by: Bepbopbip.7486

Bepbopbip.7486

Hello!

As I was playing in Eternal Battlegrounds I came across a Herald/Revenant that started to Taunt me when he was dying. As he died I was still in the ‘taunt-effect’. Once he was fully downed and respawned somewhere I was stuck on his position being unable to move at all for infinite amount of time. I tried to shadowstep to something (as a Thief) and also used a Waypoint to see if that fixed the problem. However it still did not, I also tried to rebind my movement keys but with no result. I had to relog from Eternal Battlegrounds and then it worked again. But as many players know in high-populated server that the Queue on EB or other maps can go up really high, it taking about an hour sometimes. I was curious if this issue is known already. If not then, well here it is! Would be nice to see it getting fixed! :)
