I’d really like to see changes to the trait that makes banners give regent to everyone near them. I think it would make a lot more sense if banners gave health per second relative to your healing power, and stacked in intensity with each banner. Stacking regen duration is completely pointless, and I think this would make banners more viable with bunker builds. And, theyd be an even better option if they were made easier to use (easier to pick up etc). I’d also like to see a larger variety of skills between each type of banner.

Hammer/GS 4 lyfe.

I solo roam a lot.. I tPvP a lot.. I duel a ton. Warriors have the highest direct damage output in the game, all it takes is the ability to manage your cooldowns and timing your skills. Its simple, if you’re blinded, don’t blow your burst. If they have stability, don’t try to cc them, lol.

However, I do think warriors need more viable condi specs, better bunkering capabilities, and more ways to deal with condis so we don’t have to depend so heavily on runes.

Honestly I think warriors are in a better place than most people think, people just need to think outside the box axe shield gs. GS has the best mobility in the game, hammer has the most cc/damage out of all the weapons in the game. Axe shield hits like a truck… what I’d really like to see is more viable condi builds for warrior, make banners more useful (maybe stack health/second with the trait instead of regen duration), and ways to make bunker warrior possible (I think we can all agree most classes can hold a point better than warrior, shout heals are just pathetic).

Pretty sure your first nightmare vid is the reason the price for melandru runes went up so fast loll. Kinda random, but I was wondering if you would ever be down to do some duels in spvp?

Honestly though, almost any weapon combo is solid if you can time your skills well

I recommend GS/Hammer. I have been running it for a few months now, different trait setups but always the same weapon combo. There is not a single class that has enough stun breakers to hold out against a warrior that can land his hammer skills, especially when running leg specialist. For a war its all about managing your cooldowns well, and constantly keeping pressure on your opponent. I like using GS with the hammer because it allows for so much ability, making it easier to stay in your opponents face; rush, ww, and blade trail all force them to burn their endurance.

I feel like people rely too much on shield for their sustain, and axe for dps. Yea, axe autos and evisc hurts, and shield allows for a bit more sustain, but you lose mobility which mean when you roam in wvw you will have to commit 100% to a fight. And in 1v1 situations hammer has almost more burst than a full gs 100b and ww combo, the cc making the burst more reliable (whereas axe is a single dodgeable skill). Keeping constant cc and aoe pressure is much better in 1v1s and in bigger fights. As for tpvp, gs and hammer burst (earthshaker) allows you to get around the map quickly, and your three stuns and two immobs (with leg specialist) makes it soooo easy for your team to focus an important target down (esp. engis, necros, and mesmers) by forcing them to burn their few stun breakers early and continuing to cc them down.

I feel ya. Gets the adrenaline going. But both of your pictures just show a bunch of people from random eBay guilds working together to either take a tower and/or build siege. I don’t see that zerg chasing down a couple people, hugging towers or guards, or running in circles farming wxp (which is what the bp zergs and ALS zerg tend to do)

@ brimstone: I’m still not sure how your video proves anything or helps to prove your point. I’m guessing you just posted it in an attempt to prove that you aren’t one of the players taking part in the zerg orgies behind your walls.

@dovgan: heads up, 2v30 is never a good idea. Little ambitious bud. I guess you could have been alt tabbed, afk, or just busy scratching your balls when the group rolled through.. none of these things I recommend doing in wvw

Ahh.. Brim.. you should reread what you quoted from Amins, and try to figure out how far off your sarcastic comment and video was from what he said. Ego bay is kinda funny though.

I agree with Amins, the overall skills of AR and BP haven’t improved over the weeks; this goes for individual skill and group tactics

When I was grinding for my legendary I would do cof p1 and p2 on five toons at least once, then do the same thing with coe all paths (15-20 min per run with a solid group). I don’t know what I made exactly per hour but I managed to pull an average of 25g a day by turning all dungeon tokens into ectos and selling everything but t6 mats (since I still needed them). If you don’t have many level 80 toons I recommend running some lower level alts to those maps. Its worth doing for the extra rares.

I wish people would stop wasting their time on the forums kittening about legendaries, when they could be playing the game working on them. I played the game for four or five months slowly piecing together the gifts, and when i decided I wanted to make a legendary I grinded for two months. As for the mf, people forget that its intended to be a gold sink…. I saved and bought dawn straight up. Watch the prices, most of the high demand precs don’t actually fluctuate that much. Anet shouldnt change anything, or give people shortcuts, kitten /p>

A better option would just be to have a player to player trading system, where a buyer posts an offer and a seller can selects it from a list of offers to open in interface for the two buyers. Or something where you can trade directly with someone you know. I’m not sure how either would affect the tp though

I honestly don’t mind that they can be traded. To buy with gems alone you’d be dropping at least a grand on just one item. Also, the cost of the legendaries are typically 600+ gold more than the cost of making the item yourself. For the patient ones, you can sell the legendary you make and use that gold to make another (same or different) for much cheaper and work towards another with those profits

I npc blues and salvage whites for the chance to get orich or gossamer or something. The value of the blue when you sell to the npc is more than the value of an orich. Then i use master kits on rares and sell exotics on the tp.

Just to be clear, you’re advocating for an increase in mechanics that would reduce the drop rates of corrupted lodestones and destroyer lodestones so as to bring their value more in line with the current high value of charged lodes?

Id rather see an increase in charged lodes. Which is what i just said.

My best advice to anyone who wants to farm a lodestone directly is to run the dungeon that drops it. Then, promote your cores. Or run fractals till your eyes bleed. That being said, at the moment, I only have 30-40 molten cores from all the times I’ve run CoF…. and running anything else nearly as often as you can run CoF is also eye bleed inducing.

Except there is no dungeon that drops Corrupted. Despite containing Icebrood/Svanir, HotW gives Glacial… which is stupid.

This will not be fixed and should not be fixed. By keeping the drop rate of these items exactly where they are, it maintains the value of an item that a significant portion of the player base will never hope to acquire enough of to use for anything.

Let Charged Lodestones be 3g+ forever…. random players will get a moment of insane joy when they find one, and promptly sell it to those of us who intend to do something with these precious jewels.

Woah… selfish kitten much? Jeesh.

Two things:
1) If you want corrupted lodestones, have you tried Arah? I can’t speak to it much, but the only corrupted lodestones that have ever dropped for me have come from Risen in places like the Grenth event. Admittedly, that could have been an ice elemental and I just didn’t notice. I’m still a bit short of my first corrupted weapon, but I put destroyer weaps higher on my list of things to craft, and the falling price of ecto has me eyeing weapons of the mist, so corrupted weaps are back burner for me at the moment.

2) As to the ‘selfish’ comment…. how is it selfish to want the majority of players to be able to get a highly valuable RNG drop? Those of us who craft things with lodestones know that we’re in the minority because we work with rare mats. It takes effort and planning to produce things with lodestones. For much of the populace, that effort is unreasonable. Instead, when they get a lodestone they say: “Oh great, I can sell this for a nice chunk of change! It’s rare and people will pay a lot for it!”

My point is not to argue that “I have items, and I want to be elite because I did X / Y / Z to get them.” My point is that it is of benefit to the entire game to have items like this. It gives a goal to those who will pursue it, and it gives a high value to the people who get these via RNG and never do anything with them but sell them.

I wish you the best luck in your crafting aims, weather it’s a legendary or a crafted exotic, and I hope you find a sense of satisfaction at the end of those aims that you did something which required effort and you succeeded where others simply give up, many before they start.

Sorry for the name calling. But consider this: i am in a tier four server, experienced less than ten minute queues, and did not have any of these issues aside from a bit of culling. Call me ignorant, but the difference here is the number of people attempting to log in to wvw.

Transfer fees were put in for a reason; anet saw this coming a long time ago… you did this to yourselves. Don’t put the blame on anet simply because they didn’t anticipate the number of all the egotistical players transferring to the same servers. Lower tiers are experiencing how the game is supposed to function. Nuff said
