Nevermind guys. The problem appears to have sorted itself out.
A friend of mine has been attempting to do this quest where the ogres need to gather wood from the trees. The trouble is, we get to a point of the mission and the only ogre felling any trees comes to the same tree and won’t do anything with it; stopping the mission dead in its tracks. Anyone else have this problem? What should we do about it?
Vintage Virtue [VV] is a new guild looking for new members. Here, kindness comes first and no one is left behind. There’s always a helping hand, because we look out for each other.
We are an active but fairly laidback PvX guild, so we’re up for doing just about anything. We also have a voice chat set up on Raidcall for easier communication, but that is entirely optional.
We don’t give a skritt if you started yesterday or 100 years ago or how many shinies you have. All classes and builds are welcome.
All we ask from our members is that they play honestly (no cheating, hacking or scamming) and respect others.
We would like ask for 100% representation among members for a closer-knit community and more active guild. However, guilds like TTS, bank guilds, and the like are fine.
If you would like to join us or would like more information, please contact Biggabrudda.3641 or Aguri.2896.
Have a good one and have fun!

I got this yesterday as well. Scared the heck outta me…
I thought I was either getting hacked or somehow set up to have my account banned, so I didn’t dare touch any of that stuff once I realized it wasn’t mine.
Could someone please explain what this is?
A friend of mine purchased a recipe to make an endless toy golem tonic earlier today. He spent several gold on the recipe and even more so on the materials. When he finished, the end result was an endless plush griffon tonic. Can someone explain to me what the problem is here? Or if it’s a bug when it might be fixed?
I would like to begin by saying that, as a game, Guild Wars 2 is certainly one of the better games I’ve played. However, I have noticed a little quirk that has really been bothering me mch of the past year that I would like to see changed. Many of the Living Story releases have had these fun little mini-games that as games are rather fun. (Secrets of Southsun’s Crab Toss, Bazaar of the Four Winds’ Sanctum Sprint, Dragon Bash’s Dragon Ball, and so on) The problem I have that keeps me from having fun in these mini games is simple. I cannot go in these activities with a friend to enjoy it WITH them. The ultimate measure of a good Multiplayer game is the degree of fun the player and his or her friends can have. The current system severely limits that, and, in my opinion, cheats Guild Wars 2 of its own potential. PvE, Fractals, Dungeons, WvW, and even PvP allow for friends to play and fight in Guild Wars 2’s gameplay together. This system robs friends of the ability to play together and often forces them to play with total strangers.
As such, my suggestion to Arena Net is this: either allow party members the option to join in the activity like a dungeon or instance or allow them the chance to join in on the activity in a similar manner to PvP where players can click on a red notice in their chat logs and join in on the activity.

I sincerely hope this is fixed as soon as possible. It is worrying to me that ANet would release these new looks on the one hand, then, whether intentionally or not, rob us of the means to make use of them.
Ok I have a few problems with some of the arguments I’ve been seeing about this matter.
First, I somehow find myself doubting NEARLY so many people would have complained if this armor had been, say, a reskin of Asuran Savant armor. The only thing I see behind this trouble is a bunch of players with human characters complaining about “their” cultural skin.
Second, it was already a well done skin that worked on charr and asura that accounted for both body types. All ANet is doing here is making more work for themselves.
Third, need I remind anyone that this particular armor skin is ALREADY in use by an Asuran npc? (Namely Councillor Flax)
Fourth, I would like to make the point that there is another way ANet could have made this matter fair. They could have done similar reskinning on other races’ cultural armor with other themes like frost or energy. I view this as both the player base AND ANet missing out on a perfectly good opportunity.
I suppose the simplest way I can ask this would be as follows:
Why would you do this ANet?
I can understand a jumping puzzle with a timer since some puzzles require players to keep moving to avoid traps and such anyway. I can understand a puzzle being made difficult to improve the challenge, and thus, the feeling of accomplishment for success.
What I cannot understand is why ANet felt the need to make this activity a blasted competition. The race at Zephyr Sanctum was admittedly fun, but a jumping puzzle that is reduced to being a race? It absolutely kills the fun of it. As I understand it, the puzzle last year was set on a timer. So why change it to a cutthroat competition where the only end result I can see is enemies tearing each other down rather than friends building each other up?

Vision of Virtue [VV] is a new guild in the Tarnished Coast server geared towards being a close-knit, drama-free community where people can socialize, make friends, and have fun exploring, dungeon delving, puzzle jumping, hanging out, or just doing something completely crazy and random.
To better communicate, we have tools such as Raidcall set up; though having voice chat is optional.
Experience, level, profession, race, and age are not requirements to joining.
What is required is an open mind, an open heart, a degree of respect for your guildies.
If you would like to ask about joining, or would simply like to know more, please contact either Biggabrudda.3641 (Bigga Brudda) or Aguri.2896 (Nraax) through whispering or mail.
I am sorry for wasting everyone’s time, however I have come to a conclusion that I will not likely find what I am looking for here. I think I can find it elsewhere though. Take care everyone.
I realize most people posting on this forum post that they’re looking for a guild, but I want to take that search a step farther in my case. I’m looking for a home on Tarnished Coast. A guild that is not restricted by age, level, gameplay preference or anything like that is good, but what my friends and I really need is a home, a family.
It seems every other guild we’ve been in either only the primary members get any attention or everyone has already formed their own little groups. Even the best of them, I’ve felt alienated and ignored in to some exent or another in, and I have seen my friends suffering the same. No one ever really took the time to talk to us or get to know us. Even when we tried to reach out and talk with people or even tried to get a party going, we usually only got only silence or excuses. I am so tired of all that. I am tired of reaching out to nothing. I want my friends and I to be able to join a guild that not only makes us feel welcome upfront, but continues to make us feel at home months after we’ve joined. I want to see a community where the leader and members alike respect each other and forget no one.
This game is fun, but I haven’t been playing the past 7 months to get the best levels or gear or anything like that. I’m playing to make and spend time with good friends. I realize this is probably a silly sort of request looking for such a guild, but I’m not having much luck searching the other way.
There are three races I would like to see added to the current five: the Kodan, the Tengu, and the Largos
The Kodan: 1) According to the wiki, Jormag scattered their sanctuaries in all directions. Some of them could have set themselves up in the woods west of the far Shiverpeaks. 2) They are in separate tribes that could serve as a starting option in character creation. 3) The current playable races of Guild Wars 2 have no shortage of the strong, the bold, or the intelligent, but not necessarily the wise. The Kodan seem naturally wiser and could serve to bring that to the table.
The Tengu: 1) They already have a walled-off region for their starting area. 2) They have 4 houses, so they already have starting options set up. 3) The fact that they have been an isolationistic people means they could fit in to almost anywhere in the story.
The Largos: 1) Any undiscovered map with a large amount of water could work as their starting area. 2) Multiple great houses could serve as starting options for for character creation. 3) Adding them would add an aquatic race for players to choose while not leaving them with unwiedly races such as the Hylek or Quaggans.
I would also NOT recomment the dwarves to be added for a simple reason. The dwarf at the Durmand Priory, as fas as I remember, was supposed to be the last of his kind. As such, adding dwarves as a race makes no sense to the lore of Guild Wars 2.
A friend of mine recently purchased Guild Wars 2 and has been trying to install it on her computer. Unfortunately, the disk has thus far failed to autoplay properly. She has tried several other disks of hers, and they seem to run well enough. Are there any possible reasons and remedies to this issue. If so how should she go about addressing it? If not, is there a way she can use the serial code she got to download the game online?

I installed Guild Wars 2 last night and patched it overnight. While patching I did all the necessary work for setting up my account. I even had myself logged in on the client launcher while it was patching. Now however, I find myself getting frustrated at getting this message every time I attempt to log in.
“The game client is unable to gain access to the log-in server at this time. This is most commonly caused by firewall or router settings, security applications, or connecting through a campus network. For additional support, please visit https://support.guildwars2.com.”
I have been going down the list and cannot find anything that would cause problems on my end. The FAQ of the support page does nothing to address my current situation that I can see. Does anyone have any experience or helpful advice for this problem?
