Having constant crossed swords on EK due to the bugged guards at inner gate was annoying enough. Having bugged guards in lord room of EK and Garrison is gamebreakingly stupid. I’ve been seeing lots more reset orbs in my matchup recently and it’s definitely because NPCs are breaking the altar and causing the orb to reset when no one grabs it in time.

This isn’t some complex problem to solve like culling. This more looks like some inattentive programmer put the wrong values in an array when they were hardcoding out guard properties. Why the hell isn’t this fixed already?

Some of us have been on the same server since launch, but yes. that is probably more luck than judgement, however for a minute i’m pretending that free transfers hasn’t kittened up the rankings.

The rendering issues are NOT related to your PC. I know this for 2 reasons.

1. There was a post made by an arenanet employee that said this. in fact he specifically posted so that people wouldnt listen to fools like this. I cant find it, but it exists. trust me on that.

2. I have very very high end system, all the latest Kit, OC’d. SLI etc.

Do not listen to this guy and do not upgrade to the latest and greatest. sure it will improve your experience, but it will NOT solve this issue. it is a back end issue. Anet still need to solve it.

I’ve been on Deso since day 1. I’ve seen the ups and downs. Myself and a few of my RL friends have just joined Iron and I can tell you that the difference is organisation.

We used to do well 3 manning supplies while the bigger guilds took keeps, but now… well, now have both Iron and Ruin for backup, and we speak to them about whats going on.

firsthand, I yet to see any underhand tactics from Iron or Ruin, in fact the opposite. Sure, there are bad eggs everywhere, but if they are in Iron, im yet to see them.

Sorry FS, Kodash. Deso is now a lot better organised, the pugs have joined guilds with stong leadership, IRON, Ruin, GoD, GG, Lor etc and with our nightshift we are now just moving ahead.

like signet activation on self is a useful/key skill for marsksmen / power build?

how would you re-organise all traits then? if you have the solution, maybe you can share it with The community and we can critique it for you.

The beautiful thing, is that for pve, you can pretty much use anything. for. PvP, well…. not so much.

GS is nice for evades and dmg is ok.

For PVP i prefer sb/lb for zerg or keep stuff. and SB/ SW/horn for roaming.

Although I agree entirely that thiefs need work, particulalrly HS spam and WvW rendering issues.

you will survive longer if you invest more in tough/vit. both through skillpoints and gear.

I am also a full exotic zerker glasscannon with 15k hp (not thief). But I can also melt stuff when left alone.

As everyone else says, its arrowcarts that are melting you and btw, SB has no AOE.

We have like 2 usuable skills, SB autoattack (that was just nerfed by 7% base damage) and up to 25% when you include the effects of our now broken quickness.

I run full exotic zerkers gear, jewellry & weapons.

I had a similar decision to make and it really came down to basics. with WvW in it’s current state, there is mostly zerg, lots of PvD (Player verses Door) and if you can get a group together, the odd bit of supply taking.

For me, the decision was simple, do I want a DoT/Condition spec which can be cleansed by the better players or max burst damage.

I went for burst, I have about 50% base crit (70 with RaO), 90% crit damage and crit from 800-1400 or so with shortbow and double that with LB. I also run the Superior Runes of Divitinity.

Since the recent nerfs, i’m running LB, Sword/Horn, but SB is still very viable, I guess i’m just playing LB long enough so that I forget how good SB was pre-nerf, then will go back to SB as my main.

My build is 30/25/0/0/15. I run RaO (against tougher teams entangle), Signet of Stone (traited), QZ and the last is either Protect Me (not really a huge fan of, mainly due to the delays and the fact that im running a dps setup my pets are often dead or about to be swapped for 2 seconds of quickness) or the reflect one which name escapes me. You can also swap out that last slot for a trap if you prefer.

The Tooltip for quickening zephyr says it enables you to “shoot twice as fast”. seeing as you can fire 7 arrows off in 4 seconds normally, yet under QZ you only fire 12 arrows, please can you adjust this tooltip so it is accurate.

My suggestion would be “shoots aproximately 1.85 times as fast, depending on any unknown animation glitch”

To the best of my knowledge, there are no other posts specifically mentioning the QZ BUG on the BUG forum.

Also, my original post didnt call out anyone by name, was pretty reasonable actually. I guess its now up to us to decide what to do next, but ANET are clearly not interested in the QZ BUG at all.

Also, do not make individual posts on the bug forums, or email the gaming media with this story as im sure they wont be interested in a soon to be 100k view post from a lot of very fed up rangers.

glad to see warriors are doing fine and I really enjoyed being insta-gibbed by unhittable thieves last night when not being rolled by an invisible zerg, after waiting 2 hours to get into a WvW zone that ive been in since day 1’ but now wait due to free transfers and 1000 US players migrating over on the same day.

agree this needs to be stickied. It has more replys and more views than any other of the “serious” issues; Inivisible enemies, nightcapping, everything.

And the irony is, this is totally self inflicted, and based on a so called “animation glitch” that none of your 200k (or so) actual rangers who play this game ever saw.

ANet. PLEASE respond to the QZ BUG issue, Fixing that or at least proving the math and telling us how its meant to be is the very least you can do for your community at this point.

Did you consdier variable client side latency when introducing your 40ms fix? Cause if you didnt, you might find that is the problem.

Either that, or please tell me you didnt add the 40ms to the server side code, as clearly that would be 40ms + client latency – per attack.

Now heres some tips.
1.Use troll heal from the time you see your foe.yes at full health.yes even though you have 25k life
2.i dont use QZ for 2 reasons:Guardians and Retaliation
3.Never,i mean NEVER use the active effect of Signet of the Wild.thats why i gave you Sickem
4.Stay close to your pet so you can remove some cond with the other Signet,thats why i use low range weapons
5.Abuse the Spirit of Nature and the rez :P dont be afraid to use it but find nice spots to summon it so they cant focus it easily
6.Use your 5 skill in axe offhand a lot.whenever its on cd
7.When you are about to finish a downed foes swap pets.the haste buff will down him instant
8.Use this haste swapping pet in casting heal and elite.Its more usefull than 5 fast hits
9.Be creative and have a keen eye
With this build you are the leader of the map..You go first (not recklesly).You defend,you roam and you dominate in 1v1.Always put attention on your kittens.Spent some time to get used of the build and practise the F2 skill of your pet.Its not totally bugged just need more attention.You can master it and do some nice moves with your pet.We Rangers are not weak,we are not need so much dev love as you may think.We are Rangers,We survive,We make the first step and the other will follow :P
