I support this as well. Cantha and the added professions were my favorite of all the GW1 set. The music was beautiful, the bits of culture and architecture were amazing. The Lore is captivating. Especially the bits about the Tengu. I think Anet may have a hard time justifying bringing Tengu in as a playable race at some point (which I would fangirl squee about) without bringing Cantha into it as well.

I JUST did this with my ranger. Made a throw away thief to get the hood, transmuted it to a basic white medium armor mask, then again to my ranger’s level 80 mask. Just gotta get the basic thing in the middle.

Fastest/Easiest Profession to level?

Thank you for the replies, folks. Think I’ll work on my guardian some more and see if I can fast track her. Might roll a sb thief too, just for spits and giggles.

I already have a lvl 80 ranger, with most of a map completion. Now I want to level up an alt to dink around with and have some more fun with. Which profession would be the fastest and/or easiest to max out? I also have a necro (reserved for playing with my wife), a lvl 19 Guardian, and a level 11 Elementalist. Both are pretty fun, but it seems to be taking forever to level up on them. I’d also prefer to not rely on crafting, as my other characters have most of the crafting disciplines covered.

Please, with your suggestions, include a build/equipment overview and strategy.

Thank you for the reply, Linsey. Would there be any other explanation for such a big difference in drops? It’s really getting my wife down, that I keep getting all these dyes (even gold item drops) and she gets next to nothing.

So my wife and I have been playing GW since release, and now GW2 since betas. In GW 1 we’d be fairly even on drop rates for dyes, runes, etc. Now in GW2, things are different.

Both of our main characters are human rangers, same story, etc. though she’s managed to get ahead of me in levels. My ranger is Weaponsmith/Leatherworker, and hers is Chef/Jeweler.

Almost since GW2 Launch, my character(s) have gotten nearly 10-12 dye drops to my wife’s 1-2, including what she manages to craft as Chef. I get greens, yellows, browns, blues (4 rare blues unlocked already), and a few reds. She gets Browns, browns and browns.

TL;DR Can being a Chef and crafting dyes affect drop rate of dyes in the rest of the game?

Charr holds the sword in one hand while a glow forms in the other with a kinda arc lightning animation. Asura just points the sword in the direction.

So back in beta, I rolled a Sylvari Mesmer and I liked the floating greatsword / hadoken animation with the first greatsword skill. Since release, I’ve rolled a sylvari Necromancer, and enjoy playing him.

Now, I don’t want to delete my Necro, but I don’t want to re-play all the sylvari stuff either. Is there another race in which the mesmer uses the floating sword animation I liked? I know it’s not Charr (male, at least) or Asura females. Do Humans or Norn use similar animations? Add screenshots if you can, please?

Thanks in advance.
