To the ones that know knight Online, heres thing I miss in this game that can be implented here, and would fit very well:

1) Something like Bifrost
Explain: Lets say its a kind of dunjon in middle of WvW that can be opened at certain time. In order to open it, your ’’nation’’ (world) have to kill a monument (remember its in a WvW environement). The nation that killed the monument can access (for 2 hours) a special instance where monsters drop very valuable items. This thing was happenning 3 times a day, and encourage people to make WvW.

2) Something like Castle siege war
Each guild (clan in KO) try to conquer the castle. This battle oppose all guild happens once a week. The guild that conquer the castle receive tax income on the npc merchant and have some privilege.

Well, I dont wanna make a thread where I complain how this game is not like another, but really I feel like there is something missing out there.

Knight Online: Best PvP ever and mass PvP (orc vs humain around 500 vs 500 war)

C9: Second best PvP (for 1 vs 1)

Aion: Best character costumization and best armor

GW2: Best PVE

WoW: Best population

• If you watch the assassin video, the log chat screen in right-bottom corner, each skill used show in yellow. Look how fast you need to be in order to be very good player… to be like this assas, it take about 2 years of training **

that was real action, and challenging in pvp

I just wanted to know if many of you just feel like me. I played severals MMO over the past 7 years, especially Knight Online, and there is some things I really miss and feel like Anet cannot offer.

1) A goal of PvP or WvW…. really, Pve and PvP are 2 differents things in this game, and nothing encourage people to go make some pvp. (no reward, …) ‘’ lack of interrest’’

2) This game is called ‘’Guild wars ’’ but I never feel anything important related to be in a guild except to make friends. (It could have a castle where every guild try to conquer once a week for exemple in a big mass pvp map. Guild that have the castle get 100g each week for exemple)

3) WvW competition is absent. Its hard to make a ’’killer’’ reputation. In knight online when u used to kill a player in such map, your name appair to everyone on screen:
Bodycult has defeated Mdefeated. It bring some competition and reputation to the game.

4) Im now 80 in GW2, and really I dont feel like I am. I wear almost the best armor and weapon, and monsters are as long to kill as I was lvl 20. Also, each monster 3-4 hit me anytimes. I dont feel ‘’the power of 80’’

5) An optionnal skillbar witch allow us to put food, potion, consumable would be usefull…

In overall I found this game very interresting in the beginning, but nothing yet to keep me playing much. I’ll gave it some months, and if nothing change I feel like i’ll just go back to Knight online…

Anyone else feel like that ?

Im a PvP player for over than 7 years on every game I played. (Played 6 years Knight Online), and really I can say that the PvP (WvW) is very very very bad here.

They maybe count ’’NPC’’ in the full state -.-

A whole guild was doing that in another game I played, they were very funny xD. Even naked, the owned the server for quite long.

cuz I spend most point on skills, so even at 100% map completion I cannot get enough skillpoint to buy it to craft my legendary :/

In regards to Legendaries, they’ve also said that they will always be Best In Slot equivalent. If they add a new tier Legendaries also get bumped up to equivalency.

It make sense… taking so long time to earn it, and see a rare lvl 85 item with higher attack power would be so sad…

Even tho, imo legendary should have better stats that exotic

You can get dungeon exotic sets pretty easy. You don’t need to run the dungeons that often to get a full exotic set. You could be full exotic within a few hours, without spending a dime (even making more money with dungeon loot)

You can also craft ‘em, but I don’t know how expensive that is at the moment.

Tonight I’ll be hitting lvl 80 and I have some inquiries about equipment… weapons and armor. I just look at the price for lvl 80 exotic, and its quite alot. So here is my question:

Q: Since we know this game will eventually increase max lvl to probably 85 or more in the future. And when it will come, all the lvl 80 exotics and legendary will be useless compared to the new lvl85 weapons/armor this will bring. So, whats the goal of getting lvl 80 exotics and legendary ?

Just asking, because getting legendary item is alot investment, so before going for it, I just wanna know if it worth the run.

I tough that once lvl 80, you can farm for better items, to owns other players in PvP 0.o

The last game I played it was like that…. Max lvl was 83, and once you get there, you go real PvP and get better items… Some items in this game was dropped by some boss, and it had like 0,01% chance of dropping it, but whe u get it, you own everyone. They was about 10 person with such items on a server of 30k + person. It makes a goal in endgame….

So if there is no really advantage of WvW or PvP…. Whats the goal… I mean If PVE/PVP/WvW gear would be all the same, and best set could be obtained only in certain PvP maps then it would have a sense to go there. Also if drop rate in PvP maps would be increased it would make sense…

Hi everyone!

I created this topic to give me some light on WvW. I heard some people are leveling through this zone and would like to learn more. Im a lvl 57 human mesmer and never tryed WvW yet, simply because I dont see the point. Is there any advantage of going there ? Well I go there once, and leave immediatlly because there was too many colors on the map… kinda look complicated to say the thruth. So here is some questions I have:

1) Is leveling faster than in PVE ?
2) What about questing ?
3) Farming monsters is usefull?
4) Can we get better items than in PVE ?
5) Are the items looted are only for WvW or can be used in PVE too ?
6) When I enter this zone Im upped to lvl 80… so is the items I get are lvl 80 too ? or adjusted to my PVE level ?
7)What should I do in WvW at first ?

I know its alot of question, but I would really appreciate if someone take the time to answer.

Im not sure to understand what you guys wanna said by that…. Im currentlly lvl 26 and play this game since about 3 weeks. I crafted a bit, but not much since I dont have the required material and no money to buy.

My crafting professions are: Tailoring and artificer… anyone can teach me what to craft to lvl fast, and how much it may cost ? Also should I buy the required material at auction house ?

That said, it’s possible to create “sexy” looking medium armor but the choices are a bit limited. Here are a few pictures of my thief with a look you might like.

I feel my request had been misunderstand guys… I just gave some idea of things I would like to see in the game. I dont asked for full nudity or 18+ games…

I asked to put some town clothe vendors in some city that may represent the city mentality. Sometimes sexier clothes, or and armors, for both men and woman. No need to be 18+ to be a bit sexier, just look at Xena and Conan movies: they both wear sexy things and thoses movies are not for adult.

As for piercings…. it would be nice if you wear a necklace accessory, that it appair on your character. Same with earings, rings, and why not belly piercing ?

I dont understand why some people complaining about my request really. If they dont want more sexy outfits/armors/piercing/…. they just have to not use them.

Adding those tho can only have positive points:

1) Bring more players to the game = more money to the company
2) More contents
3) More personalisation, to compensate some lack in character costumization

And one good argument is that its very easy to implement, just make new skins for town clothes… maybe add a clothe merchant in some city where you can buy it with ingame money. Thoses clothes can reflect the city mentality of it.

If you go to bronx, New-York and in california people dont wear the exact same thing. This can easilly be reflected in this game by adding such vendors npc.

Ex.: If the town is near a beach, vendor may sell men and female bikini, but if the town is in desert, vendor can sell Maroc like clothe style…

I am playing some of thoses games. Sexy outfits is not the first thing I look when I search for a game. I rather love nice content, and good pvp. But this section of forum is for suggestion, so I am in my right to say that I find whats is a big lack in this game right ?

If you like the actual armor design and town cloth, I am happy for you. Then adding some more armor/town cloth content, might just be better for everyone. If you dont like chainmail bikini, just dont use, but personally, I love it and would like to see it ingame. Thats a matter of opinion.

NCSoft developped Aion, and in this game, female character have so many nice outfits, so why not in this game ?

Well im only lvl 25, maybe I didn’t find thoses places yet, but… yes they have a bit of sexyness…. but nothing compared to most MMORPG on the market … even free-to-play have better armor design.

Hehe, I know they wont fix, im just sad about the situation. All company fail to stop botters except Blizzard… I just find that lame situation.

I wish this game to be exactlly like that, but developped and hosted by Blizzard.

Am I the only one seeing that every online game except WoW have botters and gold farmers ? WoW have some, but you almost never see that in the game.

Im very disapointed of buying a game 68usd (with taxes) and 5 day after I start seeing tons of macroer and botters. Its just like a free-to-play game.

What about you pay Blizzard to remove all kind of cheat in this game ?
