It’s good to see that the community can still recognize when massive mistakes are made. I’m glad almost all of us are in agreement that this is a terrible misstep.

It took an intern 30 mins to make and will make them enough for nice Xmas bonuses. Our opinions don’t matter, I’ve already seen so many people with the set it’s not even funny.

I will just console myself with the objective fact that the gem store version is 10x the ugly for half the price. Have at it, bad aesthetes.

Our friends on Reddit are very unhappy as well. The risk/reward was calculated and this is just happening, probably without any comment from the devs. Gotta love the blatant disregard for player feeling.

I expect a refund akin to my having purchased multiples of the harvesting tools. I will be severely disappointed if that is not what happens.

LOL. Coming up on 10 humongous, glaring bugs that they added into the game today. All in two week’s work!

My ticket has been submitted and I laid out my acceptable terms as me deleting my cultural armor and being refunded either 99 gold (I didn’t have the helm) or 800 gems to buy the new skins. One or the other. Will let you guys know whether or not I hear back.

I’d like a refund on my human t3, I paid 100 gold for armor that is now reskinned into the gem store with particle effects and has lost all prestige and uniqueness that it previously held. I’d like a dev response as to whether I will receive my refund and should go ahead and submit the ticket, thanks.

I see that my policy of not touching new content for at least a few days till the obvious, game-breaking bugs get worked out is still very well advised.

Let’s try to be constructive and not get this thread closed, while also conveying the fact it is inappropriate to have no fix or repayment for an error this humongous.

We should and (I hope) will be compensated for this error. I will be watching this issue very closely and bringing it to the attention of everyone in game I know who might be affected so they can let you know how they feel as well.

Seriously, if this can’t be resolved in-game for technical reasons, then compensation is in order for the affected players. Mail them the karma and the other rewards to make up for this and then people will call it square. The notion that we just have to “deal with it” is unacceptable, and totally uncharacteristic for an otherwise helpful and customer-driven company like ArenaNet.

Absolutely. I was one achievement category off finishing, I thought I would be able to do it today. We all who did not/could not finish it deserve the rewards people got from finishing it.

If enough of us cared and spoke on it, they would be account bound. However, legendary owners are in the minority and as such we can be easily ignored.

Agree. But they want you to buy gems convert to gold and make a second legendary. I want AB legend but I don’t see it happening. Sigh.

There should be a RESPONSE to this, to set people’s mind at ease, one way or the other.

Bump because, I made my legendary today and I would really appreciate if they were to become AB on use. Make it happen, there is no reason not to.

I completely agree. I wish they would dedicate more people to fixing what’s broken rather than releasing rushed new content out each month. They are going to see diminishing returns in how much people are willing to look the other way when the new content is as bugged and messy as what we have now. They really need to get their priorities in check.

Guardians are heaven sent though.

Stay on topic and if you want to troll do so elsewhere. This is a thread that is, yes, appreciative of the apology, but that also recognizes words are words. They need to fix their wrong and then I will be truly appreciative.

I am one of your players that literally has not logged in since the introduction of Ascended gear. Not once. I have four level 80s, countless Dungeon armors, different armor sets for a few of my characters, a character with optimal MF, etc. etc. I was highly disappointed that Plinx was nerfed as it seemed to be one of the only rewarding event chains in the game to me.
I truly hope Anet recognizes the mistake that they made in gating their content and encouraging fracturing the community and forcing us to grind. I will not play a game that treats its players like this one did before and after the initial introduction of Ascended gear, so I truly hope the apology comes with some serious reflection and ACTION. Ascended gear needs to be obtainable through crafting and through WVW, and that has to happen within the month at the latest.

I know about that, I’ve used it on several of my characters. However, if that’s all it exists for, isn’t it just a grinding mechanic, which supposedly wasn’t the direction this game was going?
