I didn’t read the whole thread but I will say this,

Mindless zergs fall apart when you driver snipe; Kill the commander.

The main meat in a big fight should be Revanant/Mesmer boon share, Necro Condi spam buff stripping builds, with pulls for days. Thieves stealth the Condi bursts and watch the midline melt when you spam epidemic and signet of spite with a ranger rooting everything.

I’ve done it to zergs, and its happened to zergs I am in.

Condiburst with boon share is the meta period.
Driver sniping ends zergs.

Not a very fun way to do it but w/e

Herta - "Item not found in Inventory."

I just aquired Herta.

When I try to double click the item in my inventory to interact with it. I get a “Item not found in inventory” message. In which I cannot use the item, This is frustrating because it took a lot of work to get it.

Please help fix this.

Glittering Shield: Clipping through head

I’m not sure where to post this, but this shield is beautiful, I spent 20$ and some gold to get enough scraps to get this shield.

The only problem is it is clipping through my head as I stand still, walk backwards, strafe and when I’m fighting and its VERY noticeable to me.

Art team please get a fix for this please, I’d love to purchase more gems in the future but if the clipping through body parts is ignored and becomes a trend its going to be a HUGE deterrent to future cosmetic based purchases.

What I completely hated was the ON/OFF switch…and what I mean by that is…he asks the player character to kill him before Mordremoth takes over…then flicks instantly into Mordremoth’s personality.

There was no grey into the progression of his personality which made his part of the story a little boring.

I wanted a 1/3 Trahearne 2/3’s Mordremoth fighting to take control and at the moment trahearne gives you a window to end it as Mordremoth is about to slaughter everyone by downing them and maybe GARM could of showed up and saved everyone by giving a window of opportunity and reunite with brahm.
….and then the player character would use a Caldablog finisher to end it as the mother tree grants you strength energy channeled through the sword to get back up.

Also I liked Eir She really shouldn’t have died.
I was hoping for a extremely fatal wound which would of forced the player character to use a dangerous exhalted ritual on her to make her ascend permanently into a celestial DRUID avatar and explain how that class came to be but losing garm and traumatizing her. ugh lol

That would of been so much more bittersweet and awesome. But I understand there was time constraints but it also reflected the quality of the story to average.

I did however, enjoyed Canach, an average joe sylvari making it to the end as far as his own limitations could push him. That’s why I choose him over Caithe, reliable till the end.

the pace of living story content is way too slow that coupled up with the content only being out for 2 weeks or so is a real drag. Could of had a meaningful expansion pack already and more fanbois.
1. Balance the classes not temporary content people ignore.
2. Produce content that will STAY!

Right now i’d kill to get inside Super Adventure Box to pass time.

I burned alot down using a Carrion guardian Sword/Torch, Wand/Focus
In Dueling with friends, and WvW.

Judge’s intervention, Smite condition, Retreat, Renewal Focus.

Burning, retaliation, Aegis Spamming. 50% of the time they’ll run off and choose to instagib a noob…but if they try to engage you, the AoE burns and gap closers melt thieves lol.

Also Sword/Dagger and Greatsword Ranger can go toe to toe with thieves, #4 greatsword to cancel out backstab, and the 3 evades from sword/dagger to be kitten while Hyena chains knockdowns. When he does his Elite summon which he will, Disengage #2 sword, #3 greatsword leap have pet slow him down= angry thief lol

I like greatsword on my ranger because of the ability to use #3 Leap twice in a healing spring before the spring’s duration runs out giving you more umph for your heal.

we tried to fight you in the open field but you always ran backwards.

There is no Wipe or be Wiped, only running backwards for 90 minutes after getting ruffled lol.

Strange you must be the best player in the world, never got hit by any of that, and I got some 50+ hours spend in stealth.

Lul Wat? See above comment about thieves picking on a clueless zerg.
The obvious counters remain.

Warriors – Killshot, Volley + On my mark
Mesmer – Phantasm Berserker spam + Auto Attack Target Assist. Clone’s Auto attacking.
Rangers – F1 Pet Attack, Will keep chasing you after you reveal yourself.

To name a few of the top of my head.

Now I’m sure 1v1 you’ll give me my moneys worth in a duel. In a group situation you can’t hide like on the video shown and every hardcore pvp’er knows this. I’m sure you can get a few traps in and will have fun with it.

Warrior’s Killshot locks into you even when you’re in stealth, whats even better? Thieves can’t time their evade when you’re stealthed. 14k+ On my mark 1 shot dead next lol

Also, #4 mesmer greatsword phantasms will lock on to you too when you keep stealthing. All I see is thieves picking on a clueless zerg. L2P And stomp their ineffective troll builds lol.

In Terms of Survivability/Evades in PvE Dungeons mainly, Who is king of the kill?

Personally I think greatsword takes the cake.

Greatsword[Does less damage Vs Sword/Dagger]
1. The evade spam every 3rd hit. [Can still move while evading]

2. #4 block can absorb an infinite amount of projectiles for its duration + A kick in their face if its in melee range [Can still move while blocking + Rooted when performing the knockdown kick]

3. #5 Stun [Root Attack]

Sword/Dagger [Does More damage Vs. Greatsword + Perma-Poison attacks]
1. #2 Dodge flips around and adds poison [Root Attack]

2. #4 Dagger evade steps forward slightly then stabs with poison [Root Attack]

3. #2 Backflip (Counts as evade) can dodge and jump a great distance then close back in with a leap finisher (Does not count as evade). [Root Attack]

My only irritation is that the 1-handed sword roots you and you can’t dodge on demand mid attack which destroys the survivability in dungeons.

Many times I would try to dagger through attacks only to get locked on the target with #1 auto attack in melee and go down.

Greatsword you can dodge/block whenever you want between #1 attack animations.

It seems like Sword/Dagger is a PvP Skill set, the poisons and bleeds are nasty when fighting other players. Greatsword Rangers in PvP Get laughed at and stomped lol

If they changed Sword/Dagger’s inability to dodge between #1 attack animations I would S/D more but until then Greatsword is King of the kill in PvE for survivability.

The New AC Ex IS doable with lvl ~35s

to the OP, Yes I agree that experienced players that are below lvl 80 can go through this smoothly.

It took my static group 15-25 minutes longer per (With kholer and troll) run vs the average 80pug zergfest.

of things to note.

1. Gravelings won’t death tackle you now (Thank god, i hate slotting all break frees)
2. Path 2 end fight took the longest.
3. Low level groups who want a speedy run aren’t meant to take on kholer/troll they both add ALOT on the timer killing them individually.

To those who say its impossible, its not only the group’s skill level but YOURS, get better, learn the fight mechanics, gear appropriately.

You don’t walk into a Advanced Physics class and immediately pwn the exams with a pink ink pen to fill a scantron. You study, practice, and bring the appropriate writing items for the material to get a good rating .

Same goes for dungeons, no study, no practice. Dead weight, pulls team down, then fails because you’re the weakest link. If you have no time to learn it, watch youtube videos of the AC runs, its basically your cheatsheet.

Think the title says it all pretty much but seems like every party only looks for lvl 80’s these days. It’s not because you have a full lvl 80 party that the dungeon is going to be easier. Personally I believe skill > character level. Really don’t understand why people want level 80’s only, anyone care to explain?

I’m sure you’ve had a sufficient answer to this question by now.

What what is stopping you from forming a lowbie group who accepts the minimum level required for dungeons?

Although we all know the answer to this one, low levels are less likely to get experienced/geared/maximum potential party members which leads to a 40 minute run that should of only taken 10 minutes.

My point of view,

I’m not here to babysit and waste my time and others in a 80’s only experienced run. If a newbie wants to run it and/or isn’t level 80, say so at the beginning that way its a auto-kick at the beginning or the party agrees to show you the ropes.

In short, start your own lowbie groups.

I am in favor an inspect option.

It gives me the opportunity to properly inspect the players coming in.

If I am doing a quick runs or arah, and a guy wants to step in with magic find gear, it saves both me and him the trouble to boot him immediately.

In short, I’m not here to be elitist, but if a magic find person is trying to weasel in, it becomes my business because that means I have to play harder…the dungeon becomes longer, and higher chances to wipe…all to carry a leeching parasite, and the odds are I will never see him again. *No tnx. Not wasting your time, not wasting mine.

There are hundreds looking for groups. Why should me and the rest of my party get stuck with a greedy MF user. There are no secret builds out there, or magical gear setups that will make you a god.

Good things will come of inspect, and efficiency for completions in dungeons will improve.

Someone’s ability to speak English does not equate an inability to comprehend maths and the mechanics of this game. In fact, I believe that WM has been around since GW1 and was more than a little talented then, as they are now. Simply because a group of people approach WvW in a different manner than most are accustomed to does not mean they ‘cannot understand the game mechanics’. Being completely focused on an objective that actually has a point value attached to it, rather than fighting each and every skirmish group that comes along seems like they understand exactly what the game is.

Disparaging their Guild’s ability to comprehend the game, based on their ability to speak your country’s language is… well, let’s just say it’s very rude and presumptuous.

I’m not attacking WM in that post. In fact I like running around with them, even help on the side lines by killing yaks and capping camps. Rude and presumptuous, yes. I cannot deny that.

This is just how it is, if I were to play a game that had a language that was completely foreign to me, Goooogle translate can only take me so far even with a mentor explaining every single skill/class/incorrect skill description/bugged skills.

That being said, I never said they have bad players. Simply a language barrier which is an undeniable handicap for some. Disregarding that, the feats of capping 70%+ of EB is an amazing thing in itself.

So to say that I hold all their players with little worth is incorrect. Its undeniable that they are a T1 worthy guild. Eternal Battle Grounds speaks for itself.

I’ll post a video tomorrow so you or anyone else can draw their own conclusion on whether its bots or just braindead. It’s an almost pure WM zerg trying to take a camp from what starts at around 6 players and gradually builds up over 5+ minutes. All they need to do is split up and clear the circle but they can’t do it. They can’t even stop us from ressing the supervisor over and over. They keep running through like a blind bull ignoring everything except what’s in front of them and the only reason anyone’s in front of them is because the constant stealth culling abuse.

Ultimately they leave for no apparent reason while still heavily outnumbering us and still completely ignoring anyone who attack them from the side or behind while they’re leaving. If you think that’s organized and ‘being good at WvW’ I want to know who brainwashed you… Actually I’m surprised no one else has posted videos like this since I’m sure we have lots of clips like it.

For anyone on Maguuma or DB, try attacking their zergball from the sides or behind. The only people who will ‘see’ you are randoms tagging along with the zerg.

@the rest of Kaineng, nothing against your server as a whole. You have a whole lot of people and good coverage but almost no roaming presense and a very suspicious guild.

Other observations I made during my short time fighting WM in EB.

1. I have only seen WM zombie behaviour in Eternal Battleground. I did not see it in the WM members that were in the various border battlegrounds. Why?

2. When zombie WM members take damage, I do not ever remember seeing them dodge the damage. They would take the brunt of the damage and keep following the leader.

3. When I apply condition to zombie WM members, I don’t notice them cleansing condition. I would lay a chill mark in their zerg. The 5 member who are chilled just keep doing the follow the leader. I did not notice any attempt at dodging or cleansing condition.

4. I have not seen zombie WM standing on the wall defending or doing anything more complex then follow the leader, attack a location, attack on the move.

5. I have not seen zombie WM members engage in range standoff combat.

6. I have not seen zombie WM members after attacking a location be able to spread and attack random targets. If they don’t kill off enough players on the initial attack and are getting pressured, I see them ball up and run.

Anyone see this WM zombie group be able to do complex tasks beside attack a location, ball up and run?

TLDR – “Damage” is too vague of a concept for a proper discussion. Warriors win the raw damage battle, but over time rangers win the raw DPS battle. The net DPS battle can go either way – that’s where player skill enters the equation.

This will never happen, Warriors will always out dps a ranger by a HUGE margin. Even if you were to have them both beat down on a 1million hp dummy that can be critted, warriors will win the dps race.

1minute, 5minutes, 1 hour it makes no difference. Warriors will still win the dps charts/time with a greatsword. Vs any other ranger weapon set.

Now Ranger’s shortbow/longbow Vs Warriors Rifle, Warriors win if the rangers dont have their pet.

the only time it Might ever come close, is if a feline pet is alive 100% of the time doing damage. In dungeons, that will never happen.

Rangers are not balanced for PvE and need to be looked into.

Rangers are a great class.

Why delete such a great class?

They might be balanced for PvP.

But in most dungeons they’re bottom of the barrel for picks. This is especially true in AC, CM, TA, HotW, Arah.

I honestly feel the only thing they’ve got going for them is Horn/Red Moa fury spam, and healing spring in dungeons. Thats it.

Every other class does it better than what a ranger can. Sad truth. Would love to be proven wrong though. I have an 80 ranger and its lacking so much compared to my other classes in dungeons. Its not a l2p issue. Its a balance issue.

So I'm a fresh 80 Ranger, recommended gear?

1400 tokens / 60 = 24
24 paths.
12 runs with p1+2 with 1 character
nearly 2 weeks…

Can I only run it twice a day? or is it that the amount of tokens I would receive would go down if I ran it anymore?

Forgive me, I’m new to dungeon running.

you can run it more than once a day but your tokens for that path diminish.

For Example,
Doing path 1 on the same day.
First run:60 Tokens
Second run:20 Tokens
and it gets lower each time before the dailies reset.

I forgot that if you have other 80’s you can run them the same day an hour apart or so and still collect 60 tokens. With one 80 it would take quite a while, with multiple 80’s you can go as far as to collect 700+ Tokens in one day :P

So I'm a fresh 80 Ranger, recommended gear?

you can craft it.

but if you are patient or have a little more time on you, I recommend doing Citadel of Flame, collect that 1400 tokens or so to get a full set of armor from there. Its 10 minutes for path 1, 15-25 minutes for path 2.

Its a much cheaper alternative, if you have the time and patience to collect the tokens each day.

From a PvE Standpoint.

Once you are familiar with the dungeons, Full Berserker Armor/Trinkets/Weapons is the way to go. If you’re a little unfamiliar with dungeons you might want to mix up your gear.

I use on my ranger Shortbow, Axe/horn, and red moa to keep fury up permanently.

If you are poor just use berserker gems to slot the armor with.
if you have a little bit of extra cash i find that 5 runes of the scholar with a ruby gem brings the best dps to the table for ranger.

So to simplity things…While including a Master Maintenance Oil, + 80prec 8% crit food and Crit sigil 5%…

(I have just berserker gems no scholar runes)
Attack Power:3226
Crit Rate: 91%
Crit Damage: 107%

hitting raptors in the wvwvw zone for 980-1.2k dmg with shortbow
Axe doing about 1.4k damage on a crit. (Almost every hit lands a crit)

Its no 100blades…but the shooting rate of the bow that can shoot through targets and the axe that bounces off targets…Your damage is going to be extremely high if not maxed out for a ranger not including pet damage. I am honestly happy with it, some fights where no one wants to melee Legendary Shaman I am looking at you from fractals of the mists your ranged damage will be at the top with thief and engineer.

i just did arah 3 times after patch. It seems easier to rez party members.
I was on my guardian, Sanctuary, Wall of reflection, #5 focus, #5 shield, Retreat, Virtue of Courage/ renewed focus repeat/retreat. I had 2-3 deaths per fight but was easily able to rez them up. with all those skills, 1 time he was on me the entire rez but popped all my cool downs to avoid any damage lol got out of there with my rezed party member.

I think lupi is fine save for the phase 2 aoe mechanics which at first is confusing and I agree needs Ironing out, not nerfed, but correctly showing the red dots aoe.

His AoE circles shoot slow wiggly things of death.

1. The closer you are the faster you will get hit by the AoE Spam.
2. Further from Lupi you can count a second or 2 before dodging as it has to wiggles its death wave at you.

If you find you’re going to eat it and dodge fails…from the Phase 2/3 AoE consider these.

Warriors can pop Shield#5 block/Endure Pain

Guardians can Pop Shield #5/Wall of reflection/Renewed Focus/#5 focus/Sword#3

Thieves can pop a Smoke Screen and stand in it to avoid damage/Pistolwhip invulnerability/ D/P #3 teleport back from some attacks

Mesmers can use #2 sword attack/F4 invulnerability/Hide inside Feedback/Leap back with Staff

Rangers can use “Protect me”, #3shortbow evade, #4 greatsword block (I Think this will absorb all projectiles for its duration)

Elementalists can use Arcane Shielding, Mistform, #4 focus that reflects projectiles/#5focus that gives invulnerability/#3 Staff that reflects./Air projectile block etc.

and so forth, there is no reason to always die (of course going downed can’t be helped sometimes) in the aoe attacks if your dodging didn’t time right.

Of course…after reading this, you can prolly shut down Lupi’s aoe with
5Guardians timing wall of reflection and melee zerg him to death as well as other party make ups that have projectile blocks hah.

DDO did something similar where you could reincarnate to a different race and choose a new class keep all your gear and soulbound items etc. But started back at level 1.

I suspect a race chance will need to consist of a few things so that it won’t cause problems
1. Resetting the entire story line for your character starting back at level 1.
2. Making a new code so that you cannot equip cultural armors that do not belong to your current race.
3. Finally, removing the race related skills and replacing them with the new race.

Why do I need any other class again?
This guy is doing 800-4k auto attacks, omfg huge deeps with 100blades and whirlwind.

5 warriors will stop everything in sight in a dungeon. (FotM past 20+ is a different story)
No other class will have the raw DPS/chanelled dps
Skewed high HP
Heavy Armor
Full Zerker survivability
As a warrior.

any other argument is invalid. Warriors are easy to play and are in my opinion either OP or other classes are too weak and needs serious tweaking.

Wethospu is highly skilled player, why don’t you check this heavy armour, full zerker survivability yourself. Full zerker warrior has ~150 more defense than full zerker thief/ranger/eng and ~300 more defense than full zerker ele/mes/nec. That’s around 8/17% damage reduction. High HP is because warrior has no aegis/blinds/prot/regen like guardian, stealth/blinds like thief, protection/regen/heals like elementalist and so on. The only issue is their higher damage but not survivability.

I understand, the trade-off of it all but the balancing is slightly shortsighted when trying to remove the holy trinity.

While it is true that warriors have no access to aegis/blinds/protection they do have 2 personal regens (Signet and 15 points in to the defense line) Omnomnom Pies that give 66% chance to heal on crit…(And almost every hit is a crit because all zerkers have about a 80%chance to crit) A invulnerability utility called endure pain, #5 shield skill for another invulnerability. A trait that pops another invulnerability at 25%(no one uses that though in dungeons)….and so forth.

This makes them godlike solo stomping on silver mobs all day with the 3 sources of self healing and dps. protection/aegis isn’t needed in clearing trash when you have access to a potential 10invulnerability and a 3 second block while the other party members bash down on trash mobs.

I admit thieves perma blinding trash is fun…and can pop the most consistent amount interrupts Vs all the other classes.

Guardians aegis and protection spam only gives wiggle room for parties when they make mistakes against bosses, pretty much a buffer.

Elementalists are the best supports in the game, but the trade off is Horrible hp/armor/dps.

If they nerfed omnomnom pies, warrior healing, and endure pain, then yes…zerker warriors are in for a whole new ball game in PvE.

Seriously though to balance warriors in pve is easy and after a few months I surprised they haven’t thought of this.

Balancing warriors so that they need other classes comes down to this
1. Adjust Berserker’s Power so that you give what you take. 12% damage output for stage 3 Adrenaline, HOWEVER…12% more damage recieved from enemies. (The idea is that because the damage is so superior to other classes, you take in more damage as a cost)

This will force warriors to either
1. Gimp their dps because the damage/chance risk Vs. reward isnt worth it.
2. Encourage them to play with other classes because of the risk vs reward in dps can be muffled with aegis/protections/regens/heals/blindness and so forth.

To the OP.

Why do I need any other class again?
This guy is doing 800-4k auto attacks, omfg huge deeps with 100blades and whirlwind.

5 warriors will roflstomp everything in sight in a dungeon. (FotM past 20+ is a different story)
No other class will have the raw DPS/chanelled dps
Skewed high HP
Heavy Armor
Full Zerker survivability
As a warrior.

Sure all the extra fluff the other classes provide is nice, but its not needed.

Once you pass the L2P threshold. You will realize that Warriors are the kings of PvE.
They are the most efficient class to PvE. Period.

I’m sure other classes can solo yadda yadda whatever. However can you imagine how agonizingly long it will take due to lack of dps, with less threshold for mistakes to boot?

Also, I like to cut my steak with a steak knife, not a spoon.

Imagine a world where magic find doesn’t exist, and drop rates are adjusted to full magic find level. Everyone gets to use their armor and not have to screw around with a second set that clogs up your bags, everyone gets equal drop rates. That’s why I hate magic find, cause it’s pointless and annoying.

Actually, I am imagining a world where magic find will effect the ENTIRE party and has a cap (Prolly at 250% so it wont be an absurd 800% magicfind).

OR

It will show a party members magic find next to their portrait. That way I can immediately kick them out of my party for being a leeching parasite. (MF parties trying to scour through dungeons fast with efficiency…LOL! Especially with no rez rushing this monday pugs are even more screwed)

this will solve ALL issues with MF as birds of a feather will flock together.

The only thing I’ve managed to get from this thread is that some people hate MF and that if you’re not using berserkers then you’re not worth playing with.

Well, that and the whole “Some people use it in a dungeon so REMOVE IT FROM THE GAME NOW!!!1!” that some have screamed.

No, if you want a group where everyone is at 250 Magic find sure, no one is stopping anyone from that.

I’d rather go with people putting in their weight, and not be carried through like a leeching parasite. Also it does not have to be Zerker gear, just not MF gear. Ever, unless it a MF gear run and everyone has it on.

But if everyone is doing 30% less damage, and in some cases unable to out dps a boss then your 10 minute run, becomes a 30+minute run of frustration or rage quit wipes.
That 30 minute run becomes 2 hours because you can’t get past the first three silvers doing insane damage and the party can’t keep up.

Its like bringing a rubber chicken to a knife fight, you’ll just get laughed at and stomped.

Magic find is one of the worst things to happen in GW2 Dungeon runs.
Its perfectly fine solo or with friends.

But if you’re in my speed run party, and you can’t link gear other than magic find, you’ll find a “GTFO LEECH” boot straight out a 2 story window.

party of 5 with FULL magic find gear clearing arah or CoE in a timely manner? Said no one.

In addition with the new changes. I hope they have an inspect option, because not being able to waypoint back is going to be even more crucial, to kick MF leeches out of my runs.

I’m asking seriously, as you were neck and neck with us just yesterday and poised to overtake TC.

Let me just say that the server transfer announcement couldn’t come at a worst time for us.

From what I know, we’ve lost at least 4 active WvWvW guilds after the announcement on server transfers, could be more as our PPT is half of what it usually is now.

In my opinion they should offer a solo/scaled down more casual version of dungeons with obviously less rewards,

but a chance for players to learn it so they CAN eventually join the elite-ist groups.

DDO did this and it worked out GREAT.

Hah, slippery slope if they don’t balance the damage they deal in dungeons, it will be a hostile elitest-ville groupings even more so and would cripple pug runs.

For PvE Purposes….
I’m going to list a few things on why I know, Healing Spring is has potential to be the best heal skill in game with a little investment in it.
#1
Skip if you hate math_
Some basic maths….
With 20% Nature Magic (20%boon duration) Nature’s Renewal (33% Regeneration Duration), 2 Superior Runes of Water(15% Boon Duration), and 2 Suprior Runes of the Monk(15% Boon duration)
And 10 wilderness survival IV Vigorous Renewal….

Standing in the entire duration of Healing spring will net you…
Regeneration = 34 seconds of Regeneration
Vigor = 25.5ish seconds
Per tick is…(every 3.5seconds is a tick?)
Regeneration = 5 seconds
Vigor = 4.5 secondsish
this is HUGE!

Combo fields…OP!

A3) Projectiles + Water Field
Did you know….shooting through a water field does a small AoE splash when the target is hit granting regeneration to allies in close range with the mob?
;)

Examples…
Ranger shortbow has #3,#4,#5 with 100% projectile finisher chance….100% chance to splash regeneration to your allies in close range with your target mob. then auto attack for a 20% chance to splash regen on your allies.

B3) Leap + Water field.
leaping through a water field grants a direct heal to you. I think its 1k-2.5k healing for free?! just pressing a leap attack? Thanks ranger who gave me that field

C3) Whirl + Water field.
Okay whirl is wierd…but basically it creates random splashes around you (maybe 300 radius from your location) and gives small aoe regeneration to allies if it splashes near them,

D3) Blast + Water field.
AoE HEAL! 1k-2.5k each blast…ish

Elementalist, I am denying your Blast finisher might stacks and making you heal the party :P

Guardian Hammer #2? No problem I like to heal the party anyways.

Hammer F1 Warrior or/and Banner Blast finisher fun in the sun?? No problem, moar hjeels, more staying in, moar dps for me.

Thief #2 Shortbow spam? Thief IKR? u just did something useful and healed party for 10k+ lololz (Joke….Black Powder+Smoke screen = godmode against trash)

All off the top of my head…on why Healing spring rocks…
now back to dying in dungeons for me

I used to play a Guardian with Power/Precision/Crit Dmg/Condition damage Sword/Torch.

I had my mobs Perma-burned. The condition damage will disappoint you greatly…at least from my personal experience. When I went more precision/crit/power and ditched condition points, the mobs dropped faster….much, much faster.

10point Zeal that gives 10%more damage to burning foes does not add up your burning damage…only direct damage…I could be wrong but this is what i remember.

Oglaf, yes.

Structures are immune to condition damage and hurt the condition builds the most.

Burrows, Ice pillars, breakable traps etc.

Simply put, why? (PvE point of view)

This cap greatly discourages condition damage builds.

5 warrior party with greatswords = steamroll in dungeon runs

5 warrior party with sword/sword = facerolled in dungeons due to dps from condition damage stopping at 25.

Call me elitist scum, but not once have I ever seen condition damage based parties succeed in a timely fashion compared to direct damage parties.

This also discourages variety of builds.

In dungeons….

I Rarely see Pistol/Dagger, or Dagger/Dagger #3 skill EVER being used by thieves,

Sword/Sword warriors, will never get into a experienced group.

More than 1 necromancer gimps the group.

Shortly put, 2 or more condition builds gimp the group.

I have 6 80’s, Full exotics (Warrior, Ranger, Mesmer, Elementalist, Thief, Guardian)
I have tried numerous amounts of builds ranging from full condition damage, to Berserker etc.

My observation, condition damage greatly gimps dungeon parties. (Also I find the healing stat useless in dungeons too but thats for another thread another day)


My plea,

Remove the condition damage caps. I’m bored of seeing only the same berserker/soldier gear groups. (Because it is almost the best way to run things…okay I lied…it IS the best/only way to do dungeons)

I want variety, If I want to take 2 or more condition damage builds in my group, I should be able to with the confidence that they can put in as much weight as my other team members with zerker/support builds and not gimp the entire run.

25%Nature Magic + Dwayna runes (20% +5Seconds)(6)= 32 Seconds **Warning Something is not stacking right)

25%Nature Magic + 33%Natures Bounty = 31 Seconds

25% Nature Magic + 33% Natures Bounty + Dwayna runes (6)= 40.5 Seconds

I use Adrenal Health (Defense 15, Keep Adrenaline bar at full with my axe/horn combo unless there is a combo field, usually water/dark to heal from)

Healing Signet (Healing skill)

Superior Sigil of Blood (Axe upgrade)

Mixed Berry pies (Food)

Full exotic Berserker Armor set.

I find with all these it really helps me stay in the fight and just plow everything away with my axe on trash mobs.

Now for bosses, its still important to know when to dodge. When I do screw up and health is low, I fall back with the rifle till health is up around 3/4ths full then jump back in.

LOTS OF HEALTH REGEN!!! XD

This keeps me up easy in the AC 1-3, CoF 1-2 spam runs I do, and solo mobs when not in a dungeon. Not sure about the other dungeons though.

I agree that this bug was introduced with one of the recent patches as dodging was not buggy in the mad king event…at least to my recollection.

Forgive me if there is another topic on this for my Searchkittenis weak.


There are times in a dungeon where I would try to dodge,
only to find in my horror that:

1. My dodge clips in the middle of the animation, Meaning I try to dodge but for some reason it stops mid tumbling animation.

2. My endurance gets used up for a bugged dodge that doesn’t work or completely finish the dodge duration.

3. I get downed and ultimately screw the party over by having them trying to rez me.

Is there any note on this? I know I can’t be the only suffering from Dodge-clip mania.
Example.
Fighting Alpha in Path 2 Crucible of Eternity.
6+ AoE’s overlap my position, I time my dodge perfectly to Evade…but it doesn’t even register the dodge distance all the way, eats up my endurance, and sends me into a downed state.

I know I’m not the only one suffering from this, can anyone else pitch in here?

For the use of torch you’ll need the Zeal 10, II Fiery Wrath (10% more damage to burning foes) or its near useless to have.

Also Cleansing flames removes conditions on allies, however not yourself.
For PvE I love the torch for dps/support.
