Floating? There are not “floating” rifts from what I recall. To close the rift you wait for the NPC to tell you its ready and then you interact with it. If you take any type of damage while interacting with the rift it will cancel and you have to start over.

There is a bug where if you fail and start the fight over, sometimes the “ground” will not reappear right away. It is a bug and little that can be done other than die and try again.

Warhorn, Red Moa, RaO, and Weapon Swap for fury puts you at 101%. This is what I use in open world PVE

Chapter 7 of Edge of Destiny shows that Zojja does have hair – “The light ceased, and Zojja’s head popped from the opening, her hair slightly singed.”
