The reactor is interesting, but ABBADON!!! Evon Gnashblade won me with that! (and I’ve always liked the guy, he’s a charr with class).

If you find the Tyria Towertalk on a German site, there’s an interview with Ree Soesbee (or Jeff Grubb) but they say that Charr is the race most similar to humans in how they build romantic relationships. (aside from the militaristic culture, they have very similar romantic customs.)

As far as sexuality, well, their anatomy is so different I don’t know how that would work. Something between cats and humans?

Also, most instances where there seems to be anything sexual going on is purely up to the interpretation of the viewer, Anet made this game for 12 to 90, just keep that in mind. Obviously sex happens in the world, but Anet will likely never make most couples blatant.

Galina and Snarl are totally banging though…

Rox actually grew on me a lot! Initially I was as put off as the rest of you, but ingame her eyes aren’t that bad, and she’s pretty cool (and not too “Ehrmehgerd! Rytlock-sensei is finally noticing me! Kyaa-ah!” but rather “Let’s burn these suckas.”)

Evon and Abbadon are my choices hands down, too much interesting lore. Also, Kiel seems like a rather dull goody-two-shoes and having Evon on captains’ counsel may provide for some more interesting plot twists.

#TeamGnashblade I’m feeling the love here. I’m suspicious that Evon is the elusive E.

I actually really like the written pieces! And it’s not like they are a case of either-or, if they were not written on the website we would have never seen them. The argument is similar to saying “There should be no books because that lore should be all accessible in the game!” They are called extras for a reason! And tonnes of other mmos post these all the time.

I do understand some of the frustration over living story (especially since most of us have finish the overall great personal story) but I see the living story definitely improving!

In Southsun there is an innexcapable terrain trap. Jumping does not work.

There’s a bug in the personal story quest Stone Sheath. I get the sheath, swim back to the final location, and nothing happens. Just, nothing. So I can’t complete the quest.

Everything in your first post is extremely encouraging and exciting. I only have one vital thing that should be added (and it may have been mentioned in the past 65 pages). From housing to grail quests, these all need to be steeped somehow in lore, and they need to add to the overall picture of the world, telling the stories of areas, races, people, organisations, even if only in brief. Also I would recommend at least some of the these grail quests chain. I think the quest format is perfect for GW2, marrying the co-operation encouraging mechanics, with classic MMO storytelling would be fantastic, and would make the world feel even more vibrant and exciting.

Also, if there are multiple ways for obtaining the reward, for example multiple different grail quests towards the same goal, after earning the reward the other quests ought to still be rewarding with lore and the typical event rewards.

So much that is coming down the pipes for GW2 is exciting! The game is now truly how ideally it would have been at launch and now for the next year I look forward to it becoming even more amazing!

Interesting how this fella seems just a bit affected by human female assets. Makes one wonder how many charr have a repressed attraction to humans ;-).
