  • Luck. Since we can promote it through crafting, it needs to be in there. It’s a waste of space until processed and a pain to deal with.

You do know about “Right click -> Consume all”, right? It does not waste too much space and once a stack is big enough, just two clicks and it’s consumed. I’d hate having to go to a bank to finally consume luck I accidentially stored.

The hard part is not consuming it if you’re gathering luck for a crafting recipe. But that is a different story and rather rare.

A little worrying for the future?

Not 100% certain here, but I do believe that this paragraph has always been there.

Seems like you were right about the age of that paragraph ^^

I am definitely not convinced.

If ever, this system should be limited to a few extra skills and not affect the basic skillset. Anything else would require an insane amount of work and would still not yield an even remotely balanced build. (I don’t think trading card games were ever aiming for a good balance?) Plus, I don’t like the idea of working on my armor every X days, simply because my old one is near to useless with the new skills.

Speed in GW2.

The game’s combat is balanced around the in-combat movement speed. If in and out of combat speed were not split, you’d move at in-combat speed all the time, not out of combat speed all the time.

Simply this. Projectile speed, AoE radius, casting time – all that would need to be changed if you wanted to move faster in battle. The complain that you could walk out of the one or other AoE if you were not that slow completely ignores that this is working as intended.

And to put one more thing on top, I actually like the idea of having PvP as a base for PvE balancing. The more distance between the two, the less my interest in trying/playing the second when I am usually doing the first. The difference in gear is allready quite a big obstacle imho, I would not need any more.

I wouldn’t feel the need to farm spots like this if ANET weren’t so anti-farming.

BUY GEMS LIKE A GOOD CONSUMER.

I need some help on that conclusion. Lets’s say we have farmers on the one hand and the remaining players on the other hand. I’d say, if farmers have really good farmspots, they will accumulate quite a lot of gold and are therefore more likely to exchange gems for gold.

This way the price for gems will rise but the income for players that do not farm does not rise equally. When those players want something they found in the gemshop, like the everlasting mining pick, they are probably more likely to buy it via real money, considering how mucht time they would need to get it via “normal playing”. At the same time, the ration Gems -> Gold rises, giving more intention to buy gems as well.

So, you see that there are quite a few parts where I am not sure whether I am on the right track. E.g. I expect farmers to be the minor part of players. But if I am right, farming actually rises the chances of players buying gems via real money. Which I conclude might be the reason for CoF still being the way it is.

Can anyone enlight me on that topic?

Is this game anti-social?

On topic of changing your server, this thread about being able to change for free if you have no characters left might help. From what I understand, you can keep all you stored in your bank.

I’m mostly posting this because it seems that you don’t have much interest in playing your character on your given server anyway..

Edit: Apart from that, you can always guest on another server and see how people play there.

Interface/conditions and boons

Since you say that the endurance bar was different, I guess you just saw the interface during some beta-event. I can only guess that different colors were dropped in order to make clear what is a boon and what is not..

So, to answer your question: I do not think that such a change is possible atm.

Why does bleeding stack to only 25?

Keep in mind that, in the end, there will also be mobs that inflict “full stacks” of bleeding. WvW was balanced around PvE as well, am I right?

Considering that you can do your daily in 30-40min if lucky and on the right map, I don’t think the OP has 6 hours of daily gaming at his hands oO

However.. OP, if you have somewhat stable times you can try to spend the time after the reset with preparing for the next day at which you finish your “daily”. But I guess you do that already..

My only real problem is that people in some time zones could do the event several times on different overflows with alts and get an even bigger chance of getting a precursor or maybe even two. Europeans and Oceanic’s for one couldn’t really repeat it or even take part in it simply due to the time which is extremely unfair.

If this is your only problem, then be glad, you have no problem. I had a few guildmates that did the event on another overflow than I did and they came over after the event was done on theirs (we still had a lot to do, so I was just fine with some help ^^). For them, the event only spawned an already opened chest which they could not use. I, on the other hand, could not reach the chest because of a small chain of unlucky happenings, but that’s another topic.

If they would just leave away the increased stats…
In that case, no one not doing that Dungeon would be affected and I would certainly not mind them doing comparable stuff in the future. I mean, at least stepping into any new dungeon could be done without having seen the last new one at no cost – something I took for granted when I decided to play this game.

And for those who say that these changes are close to nothing: you have 6 Armor slots, 1-2 Weapons, 2 Rings, 1 Amulet, 1 Backpack, and even 2 more slots.. things sum up.

They just lose most built up trust by this (at least as far as I am concerned).

You have an amazing player survey in-game. Use it

I’m also much in favor of this (OP suggestion). I’d even keep the OP’s questions, since they pretty much capture what I am concerned about.

Human Thief, Sylvari Necromancer. Done several time with both, no speedbuffs involved.

I just saw a thread with advices I thought everyone would know about, but maybe they don’t? Anyway, I can only recommend that one:
