It would be nice if badges of honor went directly into your bags instead of having to loot them…. running around after a fight to pick up bags kills the flow of the game…

This reset could have been done with a very simple score correction keeping the same system intact…. starting everyone off at 1500 was throwing away the last 4 months of the game. It could have been done by slightly staggering the current tiers… but not drastically… it would have created some changes in the matchups but nothing as drastic as the 1500 x24 was going to do…

Been here since October actually, and why are you paying 15 $ a month ? I wasn’t complaining about it im in a small guild. Im just saying the game has changed to more zerg on zerg fighting in T1 than the 5 man roaming groups we saw all over the place 2 months ago… when it comes to large guild fighting with actual tactics the group that gets more of their guild members in have a better chance at success…. you can go to TS all you want but its not the same as guilds who are fighting together day in day out….

Just saying the percentages are skewed against the Large guilds which all 3 servers have… its unfortunate. Been a really good matchup…

The match up is pretty good, the population caps being lowered are kinda altering wvw a bit, sure it’s screwing over SoR NA, SoS Oceanics and JQ EU’s however they are probably all running away with the score less because of it.
The downside is a lot of the large organized guilds are running less than half strength because of this.
I haven’t read a post of anet denying they lowered the wvw population cap yet, just responding they acknowledge the queue is bugged and not a line.

yeah its been reduced to 70… It destroyed our NA coverage over the reset… There were so many new pugs in the BL’s on JQ that you didn’t recognize over half of the people… Guilds like EMP PRX AOS who were manning different zones who had over 100 people online each at reset night were lucky to get 20 or 30 people into the BG’s it was like that all weekend…. Friday through Sunday was a mess… suprised it was as close as it was… Most servers dont deal with the population like it is on JQ. i.e.150 people queing for 70 spots jq seems to have 400+ queing for the same 70 spots… But it gets like that every weekend… Generally by Sunday Night JQ starts to get going a bit… Having FOO helps allot…

Just saying its hard for everyone to have an organized fight when its a hodgepodge of people doing their own thing.

I don’t see that as truth at all. The first 48 hours is the weekend when people tend to play more. The reality is that the matchup is decided m-f when people are going to work/school/whatever and coverage comes into play more.

You are partially correct. People do play more more of weekends. That is true. You are wrong though about games being decided Monday-Friday. Look at this week’s match-ups. 5 or 6 out of the 8 match-ups were decided by Sunday night.

The point though is that 48 hours is enough time to determine a winner in most cases. There is no downside to having 48 hour matches.

That doens’t happen in T1

WVW is a marathon not a sprint… It always has been in Guild Wars 2 right or wrong… The end reward is the medal count for the server at the END of the week not the beginning….

Whats really unfortunate is this weeks matchup will put us all in T3 or lower thanks to the unnecessary reset…

I could very much see ANet lowering the map cap to 70-80. Also to those questioning the OP’s information you do know who that is right? That’s the guy that runs this webside -> http://mos.millenium.org/matchups#NA and is probably the most reliable and most knowledgeable person there is about all of this outside of ANet Devs themselves.

The limit would explain allot of the que issues, and people noticing a lack of people in the zones compared to the past….

Blackgate has shown they Deserve to Be in Tier 1… I hope they are back up soon too bad Kaineng wasn’t going to T2 this next week that would have been a great matchup… SoR T1? We’ll see how that goes for ya Good Luck….

You know stealth stacks right so you can have multiple stacks of stealth put a great deal of distance between you and whoever, shadowstep and bam waypoint out…

Exactly, its reset day JQ is up 200k on reset day we controlled all maps there were maybe 20 defenders out if that in all bg’s excluding EB, we had full ques in all maps, and were still running out Golems, and trebs… Maybe people have unlimited rescources but im saying why waste it when it means nothing…

I understand laying some rams down and what not… But Golems and Trebs ? I dunno…. Seems they would be better spent in about 10 hours…

I fully understand when your getting zerged and laying down defensive siege. but when were zerging and own every map laying down siege to wipe someone over and over again is kinda pointless…. and why would anyone come out to fight… save it for when it means something…

Were dominating by over 200k and people are still burning through siege including golems like they are going out of style…

This next week is going to be a fight so why not save someof your gear when it means something…

This reset night should be Epic… SoS had nothing to play for this week, once the full reset announcement came out…

Whats going to be bad is when a T1 server goes to T5 or lower… T1 servers have Que times in most the Boarderlands 24//7 honestly you guys wont even be logging in for those weeks…. You guys can’t fathom the pain train coming your way…

We dont PVE…. We PVP thats why we chose our servers…. This reset is going to be pointlessly Ugly and hurt more servers than it will help….

I couldn’t agree more… This is Guild Wars…. WVW should be the lifeblood of this game, yet it seems to be the furthest thing on the devs mind…. This Reset is going to take 2 months for things to get back to a point where it would take 1 maybe 2 weeks to iron out with the current system… Just seems like a total waste unless they decided to go with a 48 or 72 hour reset timer for all tiers…

Or the 20 Sos standing next to 20 BG at Vale on SoSBG not fighting eachother litterally standing next to eachother there while they zerg down the 10 JQ in the camp ? didn’t think anyone would see what was going on outside that gate ? we’ll see at the end of the week how this strat goes….

If you all are struggling with your ranger I would suggest you rethink what your doing. Ranger is as strong as any class in the game WVWPVP, and SPVP….

I am not going to tell you how to retool your character as I enjoy running people over and I honestly dont want to level the playing field…

The answers are in this forum though. You just need to rethink how your going about your business… It takes a while theres allot going on with this class…

Yes. When we used Mumble and it happened the last time we were in T1. Maybe it’s a T1 thing.

True I see that SBI isn’t doing much in T2 atm. BG has been very impressive and it has brought allot to the fight, but the timing and the places they move their zerg make you shake your head at times…. Especially in EB….

BG problem isnt only coverage, ive seen them with numbers too, while some do fine others just….for example in eternal battlegrounds they are terrible, it seems they never had ressistance in that place or nobody used to attack them, same applies for borderlands sometimes.

Why the other thread was closed anyway, we arent 40 year old alluring classy people.

You guys are are working very well as a Server, im just pointing out the hole from 5am central time til 2 central time where there was VERY little presence from BG on the warfront…. hard to compete with that large of a hole when your on this tier…. Forces you to do ungoddly things when you have coverage to get back into the points race, and thats just about impossible… Unless SoS or JQ lose a great deal of numbers…

It’s not focusing the 3rd place server. To push on SoS, JQ would need BG to have a strong presence on map so that they can force the 2v1 on SoS and force us to lose a part of our territory to one server and hold it against the other.

On the contrary, for SoS to push on JQ, we would require BG to have a strong presence on the server as well to force the 2v1 against JQ and cause them to lose territory to either one.

This is because while JQ and SoS may have enough teams, we can’t just steamroll the other side all by ourselves. It would be a move that requires a ridiculous amount of effort and resources. Since both JQ and SoS know this, we can only go against one enemy which is BG and they unfortunately happen to have the lower coverage and get hit against the 2v1.

To get out of this, BG would need to get players in and hunker down wiping out any SoS and JQ advances in their territory(home corner in EB/north area in BL) consistently until SoS and JQ feel it is a waste of time to push on BG and start to focus each other. Then BG has the freedom to side with any team and push the other one hard, taking territory and increasing their point ticks.

In terms of avoiding engagement, it would make it easier for BG if SoS and JQ were to start fighting each other as it would ease pressure off them and allow them to make the push.

Exactly and to push the Team who has backed out of their territory to move the fight over to SoS is Fail…. Keeping Distance between the 2 smaller forces makes it much more dificult to move around the board… Something BG has no clue about they are constantly moving right next to an engaged area to try to poach something instead of siege it for themselves…and they wonder why they get 2v1 all the time Use the map to make the defenders move to defend instead of blob up that is all…

Hey from Darkhaven going to be a fun and challenging week, as far as DD Elementalist builds yeah they can be crazy tanky… with good sustained DPS…. takes allot of work to play it though, grats on sticking with it…. Definately not hacking….
