Over two hours into this fight and got kittened enough I wanted to throw things.. I was WAY past the cussing stage and I don’t cuss often. I managed to get to the third phase three times, the first two doing no damage to the dragon at all. That’s when I came here wondering why. I switched from greatsword to gun. Next round managed to knock about 20% off the dragon. Never got to that stage again. I want Rox off my team right now. I was dodging and running in circles waiting for her to toss the fire in and by the time she did, I would have two more gears up. After an hour of this, I shut the game off. I have had several tough fights in the Living Story 2, some that were down right frustrating, but this is the first fight I have ever had to walk away from. Definitely the closest I have ever come to rage quitting ANY game.

I rarely WvW but I recently came back to the game after not playing for a few months to catch up my story prior to HoT. Most of my guild are not playing still but I invited two people I have been playing other games with to play GW2. Im on JQ so they have the game but can’t make characters on my server. Weird that it’s constantly full since I never see more than maybe 8 players at a time in PVE unless I am in LA, and I rarely go into ‘overflow’. Why is my server always full? I too am curious as to what it is based on.

What are you talking about? We are ALL capable of searching. What we are not capable of, is sticking our heads through a red keep door when we are on the green or blue team and my server has been green team for quite a while now. Has nothing to do with searching anything.

Too each their own, is what I’m getting from this. I loved my necro. Im using a “wellomancer” build with no pets and will take your warrior on any day. And yet, I hate my thief with a passion. Talk about painful leveling. I spend more time repairing than I should be and in doing so, had decided that thieves are way too squishy and need to be improved and will not keep playing mine till they are.

I’m guessing, by the ranting in this thread, that I simply do not know how to properly play my thief, and that I am wrong to blame it on Anet. I suck playing the elementalist and yet I thoroughly thrash mobs and successfully heal allies with my guardian. I would imagine that the staff at Anet know how to play their characters and will make changes as they see actual issues.

Do thieves really need a nerf? Probably not. Can’t blame a skilled player for being skilled. I’m just obviously not a skilled player of thieves.

I agree with the invisible bag option that is readily available. Why would you want to carry more than a couple around with you anyway? I put a mini pet, my transmutations stones, food, boosters and armor I don’t want to accidentally break down or sell in mine. All armor crafting professions can make them in various sizes through discovery.

IGN and mmorpg-life.com both have excellent online interactive GW2 maps to use for zone comparison if you dont care to explore the map further yourself to find your missing areas. Anet is very proud of the terrain they created and want us to explore it and will most likely refrain from handing us easy ways to avoid doing so.

Why is it that some Mini’s make noise but others do not? My Princess Doll constantly hums and yet my Plush Griffon does not squeak or make any noise. I loved the squeaky toy noises the mob ones made when I hit them so I expected the Mini to make noise as well. Like when he flies up, then plops on his butt. I swore I heard my Princess Doll scream at a group of ettens yesterday as I was running away from them. It made me laugh and I had to look behind me. I have others Mini’s as well and would like to see them more animated. Thowing fire/ice balls maybe, (mages, imps) or radomly napping when Im standing still too long, Silly stuff, you know?

I don’t enjoy PVP so I choose not to do it, but yet I’ve had no choice cause I can’t complete my map without it. My character is not PVP geared and I have had my butt handed to me multiple times trying to get the PVP zones explored. I am on a top PVP server and have been stuck missing one vista and one POI for a few weeks now cause we never seem to own that one spot and the PVP’rs could give a crap less if I need it or not cause they know I’m not there to help them. I just want my star as well. I agree to taking PVP maps out of the equation.

I don’t know anyone who isn’t sick of hearing “For Great Justice!”, especially from players who have it on auto cast but that’s not the only overplayed sound in the game. I am currently playing my mesmer and she has something to say every 10 seconds thanks to the signet I use that applies conditions. I really wish she would just shut up and let me play the game at times. Its cute that my male charr warrior grunts and grumbles when he swings his sword, I expect that from a charr, but my Norn mesmer sounds like she has a severe case of dry heaves every time she casts Winds of Chaos. I can see it taking effort to swing a two handed sword, and maybe some grunting to go with it, but does it really take that much out of my female Norn to swing an arm with nothing in her hand? Any way you guys can tone it down a bit so that our characters aren’t quite so chatty? I would much rather listen to the ambient sounds around me or the spell casting sounds themselves.

How about limiting that to one world at a time? Would that help?

To me, the problem here is guesting. They should just make it so that the chest is tied to your home server. If you guest you get jack.

Totally agree! Anet caused the issue, they need to fix it asap. My server used to be enjoyable. Not anymore.

Now that the chests drop better loot, the Maw event on my server (probably all of them) is being camped. Why not, it restarts every 30 minutes, and you get a rare. Switch toons and you get another rare. The issue I see with it, is that “guesting” has brought in an influx of players and with over 60 people camping the maw, the entire event lasts less than 4 minutes. The shaman goes down in about 30 seconds and you are lucky to get a hit in, especially thanks to the lag. I will only mention the insane lag at the dragons, cause that has been covered in another thread. I didn’t see one for this issue. I gave up on the Gathering Storm events. Just as bad. By the time someone mentions it in chat and you get there, the crowd has demolished it.

I dont know about other servers, but someone, Im assuming on our server (probably a “guest” since there never was an issue till that came about) keeps resetting the timers, which is causing players to miss the dragons anyway.

I just finished my daily. I was 4/5 before I went to bed. Got up this morning and finished the last one and now have 5/5 with no rewards. Came to the forum to see what was up.

I just noticed it myself and I want to read it too. Ive completed the story lines for all three orders, and I miss Forgal the most. I was really surprised tho that I didn’t have to fight him myself, this time as a Risen since he died among them. Glad I didn’t have to cause that would have made it worse.

I am proud of my server for staying in first place this long, but I cant finish my 100% map completion yet because I still need the red area in the Eternal Battlegrounds. I’ve had the rest of the world done for a few weeks. Any suggestions other than server transfer? Been on Jade since early launch, I’m a GL and I don’t want to move just to get my star.

This was already reported in another thread that was closed by Jason. Anet is very aware of the issue and so far, doesn’t appear to have a solution. My guildies and I continue to submit bug reports every time it happens, which has now become more than once a day. Don’t expect any type of compensation for loot you may or may not have earned, cause you won’t get any. All we can hope for, is a solution and an eventual fix.

I am an avid crafter and I have all character professions as well as all crafting professions, some in duplicate. While ALL crafting takes up bag and bank space, cooking is by far the worst. Crafted cooking items are not collectable and so far, are taking up 2 of my bank tabs alone. We are limited to a total of 8 tabs, so I find myself using my mailbox as further storage for crafted food. Any chance of increasing the bank tabs available in the near future? Either this, or make a new bank area just for crafting stuff.

Battle roar was cool during leveling because I could hear a warrior (in this case, mine) say something OTHER than “For Great Justice” for a change. I already wish there was a way to kill the audio on that one. I could never imagine a Charr saying that anyway. Once I was able to acquire For Great Justice, I naturally had to switch to it, because it is a better ability. Now Battle Roar is completely pointless for me. I miss hearing my Charr say charr-like stuff like “Ashes and Death” or “Fury and Blood” but going back to Battle Roar would reduce my damage output. Please put Battle Roar on par with For Great Justice so that us higher level Charr warriors can feel good about using it again.

I already have a PAID friend/guildmate playing who cant play with me or our guild cause my server is always FULL and she can’t transfer. What would be the point of asking more friends to play for free, if I still can’t play with the ones I had already invited and who paid for the game? So we can visit in chat? I have a cell phone for that.

Jade Quarry server, trying to do the heart here at the Rankor Ruins in Timberline Falls and the golems have vanished. I know we have had to repair them alot since I have done this heart on another character, so it would make sense that they would finally get scrapped but kinda makes it hard to finish the zone. Can we have new ones please?

You think that is weird? I just used Phase Retreat and got teleported under the game! Made for some cool screenshots but I had to log out and back in to fix it.

While I have also been having this issue, I have also noticed a couple times that someone DID speak, but what they said, was not what the TEXT said. Yesterday in my Charr thief story, one line was completely different, had nothing to do with the story and wasn’t even in the right voice! I was so shocked I looked for a way to stop the conversation so I could restart it and record it. Unfortunately you don’t get that choice.

I don’t get the personal story line either. My choices don’t matter because the end result is the same, and what the heck is your “home instance” for anyway? The only think that has ever compelled me to return to it, is if I didn’t get the POI. It never changes, so why bother? At lease in EotN, I felt like Jora and I had become best friends by the time I had finished the GW1 expansion and I was proud to make a Norn Warrior in this game, in her honor. What happened ANet? If Jora would have died, I would have been sad. The “companions” you kill off in this game? Whatever, cause I really couldn’t tell you anything about them anyway.

I have some good news. We found a common problem across a lot of the guilds, and we wrote a tool which will loop over them and fix them up.

We tested it on a couple of guilds first and PM’d the people who contacted me about them.

This fix will help people whose guilds have totally disappeared – and we think that it won’t help everyone who is in this situation. But based on our reports, it should help most people in this situation.

The tool will take about an hour to run over all of the guilds (there’s a LOT of guilds :-).

Please let me know whether your guild re-appears after an hour or two. And accept my apologies in advance if yours isn’t one of the majority which we expect this to fix.

I assumed that the issue was still being worked on, but those of us with
missing guilds will check this forum several times a day, from home and work, looking for some sign of hope to pass on to our members. It’s like going home and finding a lock on the door, no access to your stuff and your family standing outside in the cold. Yes it’s a game but it’s still disheartening. Just toss us something we can pass along so that we dont feel forgotten.

My guild completely disappeared on me. It’s like I never created it. I had 10 members and a bunch of upgrades and such. on Tuesday when I logged on it first had all my upgrades gone and inflence gone. and no members besides me, that was when I checked in the morning, but my brother and boyfriend said that on their guild menu, it was still there. Later that day though, it had disappeared for everyone.

Anyone else have this issue?

I think there are a good number of people who have this issue. We ran into the same or a very similar issue 3 days ago. They are working on the fix, but we are still broken. There are a couple guilds who posted around the same time I did that appear to be fixed but no luck for us so far.

I’m still in the same boat as well. My guild has been gone for 3 days now. Filed a ticket the moment it happened, sent a PM to Cameron, made multiple posts here, and haven’t heard a peep from anyone. I know they say they’re working on it but It feels pretty awful regardless.

At this point, 3 days in, that small roster I had spent time building – hand picking people – and all of the guild rep we could have built in those 3 days is as good as lost I’m sure. I was about to get my guild stash before this happened. That’s a good amount of rep for a small 12 man guild.

I am also 3 days in and no word about mine either. Cameron never replied to my PM. We had our stash done but I had refused to start any more upgrades until guilds were not bugged. Now we have spent the last three days with no guild at all. Ive been able to contact most of the members to let them know they did not get kicked but couldn’t reach all of them. Hopefully they go to our website and read the post there. It sucks leveling with no guild and the blind invites are irritating.

There’s 2 issues being discussed in this thread : I’m going to talk about the guilds which have totally gone missing.

We found (and fixed) a bug with a number of different guilds which were causing them to no longer be available. This probably isn’t going to fix every broken guild, but it should fix a lot of them.

For people in this situation please check their guilds and let me know whether they’ve been fixed or not. You can PM me or respond to this thread.

I am the GL of a guild called League of Satirical Travelers [LoST] on Jade Quarry and I posted in here this morning regarding the inability to see our guild. I have checked with my members after getting home this evening and none of us are yet able to access our guild. We are not sure whether to keep leveling our characters since there is no way to know if we are still gaining influence for our guild. I was unable to recreate the guild so I am assuming that it still exists, we just cant see it anymore. Please fix!

Update: It is now 1:50pm PST on the 12th and still no guild. Did somebody give Cameron the day off? Please fix and tell the devs we need an option to auto-decline guild invites cause they are annoying! I just want mine back intact. Thank you!

Today none of my guild members can see the guild window. Says we are not in one. I am the GL. I tried logging back into the game a few times but didnt fix it. Can we have our guild back please? I know it still exists cause I cant recreate it. League of Satirical Travelers [LoST] Please fix.

Yesterday I tried to buy 1600 gems ($20) on my credit card and it said the transaction failed. I checked my card online cause I knew I had funds and was confused and the transaction to NCSoft was there. I only tried once and didnt want to try again till I knew what was going on. I check today and I still have 0 gems and now I have THREE pending transactions on my credit card for $21.58 each (gems +tax). Not impressed. Im giving it a few days to see what actually posts before I get upset.

As for buying gems and turning them into gold, I dont plan to but reading this forum I cant understand why people are getting banned for it. I thought that was trading post game mechanics. So they are saying “Here you go, we are offering this service. Only one stipulation tho. If you actually USE it, you can never play your characters again”. Seriously? Makes me nervous about using Black Lion Trading ever again for ANYTHING. Dont wanna get banned for using in game services.

I just did the event, chest is not lootable. Im a sad little asura.

I just spent $20 on gems last night and did not get them. I can show you on my CC statement online where the transaction came right out tho! Afraid to try it again cause I dont have alot of spare funds on my CC as it is. I want my gems, or the transaction canceled so I can redo it. Thanks

I had the same issue with the guild bank. Im the GL and couldnt access the bank cause it said I wasnt in a guild even tho I was representing my own. Other members had no issues. Ill check again today. Anyway, while you are fixing guild, can you please give us GL’s more control over the guild stash? I want to be able to limit the amounts of withdrawals lower ranks can have per day and remove their ability to take out gold. This will help us in case of hackers and abusers.
