What we really lack is the build diversity… In GW1 we had 374.355.029.784 builds to choose from but now there are only 1-2 viable builds per class.

I agree, but this emote should not be based on the current rank system. Because it would suck if RA(hot-join) players could have emoted wolves and tigers. I think they should bring the fame system back to toruneys and increase the team count for tourneys to 16 or 32. (but it wont for paid just now, maybe only free) It is a better way to show your rank, the finishers are not just as good.
I wish Hot-Join, Free and paid tournaments all had different currencies. But this is really pointless with the lack of content for spvp right now.

So you are saying to start from scratch? No thank you! even spvp is not easy to make glory once you advance in ranking

Nobody is forcing me to play yes, but we were huge fans of GW1 and we waited for more than 5 years for a better next-gen competitive pvp mmo. GW2 was supposed to deliver that. But now we see that spvp is just a little mini-game. I fear brawling is a lot more important to devs.
Whole bunch of preperation for PVE and new content, and all we need get is a paid tournament promise which was a flop along with a new feature, crash-a-lot.
Game (tPvP) is unplayable right now… Every game our team or the opponent gets 2+ crashes… You did not fix anything but made it worse… I am losing faith. Anet approaches sPvP as if it is a mini-game…
I know this is discussed partly but the need for it is increasing day by day. Yesterday i have looked for a plus one for my team and there was no one looking for parties or anything, it was nearly a ghost town at prime time for Europe. And sadly, most of the time we were the only party that was yelling for party to the map chat.
In gw1, even at its last times, HA districts were full of people looking for groups. I met bunch of people thanks to that and it was really fun making new friends by that.
I know we can encounter people from other servers during game, just hit go with 4 people to get +1 on the go. But this is a work-around, not a solution. Most +1 don’t want to cooperate, is temporary (have no intention of becoming friends), do not want to get on TS, etc.
I usually get to be friends with the person i pick up on the mists/HA to play later. To build a good friend list with good players. Now doing that is too limited. I met some people from other servers but it is just too painful.
The solution is to simply make heart of the mists a cross server zone, with selectable districts, just like in GW1. It should have been cross-regional as well, but i guess it seems unlikely/costly by the way the game is designed.
Please, I want feedback on this issue from the devs. Also please do not skip this problem with just saying “just go matchmaking as 4 to get +1 or you can meet people during matches”
sPvP is in downed mode right now and this can easily revive it quickly.

Exactly! If KD is goes live for tournaments, this would ruin the gameplay… i am sure of it. This happens in every game with a KD ratio.
I am even against kill points… If someone dies in a tournament, whole team deserves credit…
i miss that global exp gain (and also faction its) during GW1’s gvgs. it was a mini morale boost for me and my team!
But KD… it is a selfish stat naturally…. please do not make this mistake Anet. T_T

yes is second that they should add additional eq slots for engineer so that we can get skins to customize the kits’ looks
It was such a perfect game mode with all those variations and excitement to hold it… I cannot believe how Anet abandoned it. Well i am pretty sure they have tried it before deciding not to implement it. Still, i would love to know why it did not work. I have been waiting for years for the perfect PvP experience (also my friends which do not care about PvE at all) and now Anet just forgot about us, old fans…
Stop being ridiculous please, CC immunity is a lazy way to counter CC problem, get stability for your team. With 1-2 stun break per member and you are good to go. I am bored of stupidly implemented lazy mechanics on other games. While i agree it can get annoying in a 8v8 battle with your daily glass canon builds, that game mode is made so that people just find a quick action (and Get Stomped). Do not judge the balance of CC based on hot-join. In t-PvP it is pretty much balanced.
I do not know about this and could not find it on the forum. So, do thieves get affected by chill’s secondary effect which is as important as its slow? (For example, making its skills cost %66 more initiative) If not, i think having a class half immune to a condition by design is not fair, because you cannot counter most thieves with movement slow conditions as they have great mobility and can just jump on the enemy with their skill animations itself.
i second that, also i discovered a bug while using this, grenade kit swaps instantly ignoring its 1 sec cooldown while other kits are a bit slower to re-equip.
Maybe they wanted the trait to be like that, so you can use and benefit from the swiftness without using a kit but a weapon set.

This, also 1-2 axe rangers. I switch back to my axe as ranger when i encounter mesmers. Axe arcs through phantasms and illusions and you get to harm the mesmer eventually. Your dps output decreases a bit yet still you get to put a persistent pressure on the mesmer. Also a tip, alwasy focus on the pinky phantasms at first.
Yes these are correct, i encountered such opponents as well. You can also just position the treb before the match and it stay in that direction for a quick starting shot.
Also this once happened to my team in a battle. Our guardian was wandering around the graveyard in the foefire map during the pre-match phase and somehow he did not reset after the match started, so he could just captured the graveyard instantly. We were not sure what caused it.

I also hate to do this for the bags, i want to transfer them to my alts but i hate to do the same drill over and over again. Just put an Account Bank to the mists.
Random Arenas in Guild Wars were amazing.
Heroes’ Ascent was incredibly fun to play.
Team Arena and then Codex Arena were also a nice touch.
GvG gave players a great tactic mode.These were what made Guild Wars PvP amazing.
Now why aren’t these mode or something similiar in Guild Wars 2?
This times infinity, Just Copy the modes in GW1. i miss them.. At least RA.. Let the matches end in a minute.. it will still be a lot more fun. Hot join pvp is unbearable..
they should just give us blue and red capes, i miss capes
Also trait from tools, Static Discharge does not lock on target with all Detonate Turret skills, every other toolbelt skill lock on to your target.
Engineer’s Static discharge trait correctly shoots a bolt of lightning after using a toolbelt skill and it aims the bolt to your target.
The Bug:
But there is a bug with the “Detonate X Turret” skills, they cannot lock-on to your targets, they just aim where your character faces thus making it impossible to hit your enemy unless you are right next to them.
I tried all the toolbelt skills and they work fine except for the Detonate turret skills.
and its attack speed seems really slow. it is just not viable in tournaments when a warrior can deal 40 times your damage while giving 4 times your condition damage with a better accuracy holding a rifle. Also poison dart usually misses 2-3 shots out of 5 shots even against non-moving target golems. Only viable condition build is with Elixir Gun but it is exhausting to assign auto atk 1 after some time.
