Posting my elementalist, Thumppa, in the hopes that it will lend permanency to her and get me motivated to level her up instead of just sPVP.
I just want to know why SOR and TC aren’t matched against one another as the rank 3 and 4 servers.
All that for a mini dolyak and 8 levels of exp.
Didn’t even get ectos off the 5 rares I salvaged.
And then I used the wxp jug and got an exotic in the reward chest just as a slap in the face. Which I salvaged and also got nothing from it. No luck, nothing. The ultimate kitten.
crafting 0-400 gives 10 levels, not 7. you can only get 40 level (0-400) from crafting per char
No, it gives 7. 0-500 gives 10, just as other guy said. This means there’s only 65 levels of crafting exp currently available in the game. Not that I think anyone will ever do 425-500 when when using this method to level ults, so it’s currently closer to 58 1/2.
I’d value all 8 professions at about 100g total.
You might as well do cooking on every character ever because it only costs like 2g (run cof1 once) for 7 levels.
Please all the armors in the game are made for humans and scaled to fit the other races, creating very bad clipping issues for charr/asura and minor issues for sylvari and norn.
Every single armor in the game is made for you, and this is too far?
Send some of those sweet racial skills our way and we’ll call it even.
Because humans don’t have the best racial skill in the game.
What do you want, seed turret? So it can sit there and no one uses it because the skill sucks? Grasping vines might possibly be useful at some point but the ranger version of the skill is a better version. Hounds is the only racial skill i’d ever consider seriously using in battle. And there have been times where I have swapped out my elite for hounds, even as a mesmer, with the best elite in the game, I still consider hounds a viable choice.
I use hounds to roam on my memsmer all the time
…Eeeeeeeeeh. I already spent 119 gold on this thing… I’d rather not.
May I use this tread to ask for a mesmer rotation?
As silly as it may sound, in pugs runs I end up dealing with gate controller with my mesmer.
What’s your race?
Don’t know what else you could do besides berzerker/time/auto/swap/frenzy
Not sure if hounds of balthazaar, wereform, or charrzooka would do any good…

Is there a single racial skill better than hounds?
Here is my main character, she is a mesmer, when i made her i didn’t have any look in mind that i wanted to achieve , i just played around with the options and tried to make her look good, and she ended up like that
Hmm, 7/10
Lips look high on the face… or nose is too low. Combined with the big upper lip she looks contempt-ful. Try different lighting.
My character is a mesmer. I was going for “young,” mostly. My only regret is inability turn the sides of her mouth up just a little bit.
I want a title of its own for the merc camp achievement given that there were only 3 in eb (bl’s were replaced by bloodlust) only 2 were really feasible to cap solo / small party roaming and there were 50 of them (which i did over a few day period) and really that’s numerically 100 if you end up flipping it back to neutral then capping.
I think the only ones I had to go out and get last week were yaks, camps, guards, and merc camps, I got everything else just by playing.
Haha, amusingly that’s the one achievement I didn’t even bother with, it seemed like too much of a waste of time. I decided to spend that time taking towers, keeps, camps, zerging, sentry killing, dolyak butchering…
That and sentries, I’m about 12 off from doing that one, probably finish it by the end of the week, but since I got the key there isn’t any pressure.
You’re actually doing dolyak and sentries? Man, even the merc camp would be easier than nailing 200 dolyaks.
I wish they didn’t attach a chest to that one. I will forever be slightly annoyed.
Merc, sent, and dolyaks were the three I decided to not even try for. I even ended up getting Demolisher on accident and I’m still 150 dolyaks away from completion!
- FREEZE transfers, starting 1-2 weeks prior to a Season, and ending after the same amount of time post-season.
Punish players who just want to transfer servers? It’d be good enough to just not offer a transfer discount… 800 gems only just to pile up on blackgate? Redonculous.[/quote]
Captain Mai Trin Boss Fractal: again, too long, cannon phase is just boring and waiting instead of challenge. And why was a champion added before the fight? That’s just a time filler (something I’d hoped wouldn’t be present in GW2).
The legendary at the beginning of the cliff-side fractal is even worse. Why does that guy exist? The fractal is long enough already, why do we need to stall for 5 minutes on a pointless legendary? Just put the hammer on top of the altar at his feet. The entire thing is just stalls and gimmicks.
i think people are blind as a bat the new armor is like ten time’s darker then how they originally looked.
It actually isn’t, the original was quite dark, then the change happened which made colours stand out more but texture was lost, then the current change is back to dark and textured…what most people seem to want is the colour and the texture in the same set.
I want them to roll it all the way back. If you aren’t going to give the glow a separate dye channel then it shouldn’t be there.
Let’s take a colorful race of salad humanoids and give them 2-tone armor… where the tone of the second half is red-shifted and glows at night only if you’re lucky. It’s impossible to get the stuff matching unless you’re using tints. It’s just aesthetically jarring and contrary to sylvari design.
I’ve given up on making something that matches my theme since it can’t even dye it properly.
Has no one else been able to replicate this? I’ve tried it with a few different setups and it remains consistent for me.
Some of the change is cool… the armor does look more vibrant, which is nice. Now, however, the glow… uhm, what? I cant find a single dye that works.
If you think that looks ridiculous wait until you see this… x.x
What… that’s bigger than your entire body
Longbows ARE supposed to be roughly the size of your body. That one appears maybe one or one-half head bigger, which for powerhouses like norn, is probably more accurate than any other weapon size in the entire game.
Wow, to me your Sylvari looks beautifully autumnal
I think the armor set and colors you have on her look amazing. What exact colors are those?
Thanks! I’m doing the best I can with what I have to work with at least, including a limited color palette.
Colors are Sienna, Chartreuse, Redemption, Harvest Gold, and Khaki
On my dual monitor set-up, when I have my cursor on the right hand side of the game and hold the left or right mouse buttons to rotate the camera to the right, the game fails to “catch” the cursor before it moves out of bounds and on to the second monitor. There seems to be a delay between releasing the mouse key and the cursor reappearing on the screen and this issue seems to occur where the game fails to bind the invisible cursor to the screen and it slips through. I can move the mouse back to the screen and re-locks to the game.
Clicking anywhere on the second monitor however minimizes the game which has been an issue as this mostly disrupts my PvP and WvW sessions in the middle of a fight with another player, which has quickly turned me into Derek Zoolander and severely limits my mobility.
So, I just bought the t3 cultural armor in the last week or so ago post change.
And I have been thoroughly disappointed with the armor set.
I themed my sylvari to have greens, yellows, oranges, and reds like she perpetually exists at the outset of autumn. I emphasized this with a bright green glow and bright green eyes to show off her inner life and magical nature. Or something like that, anyway, romanticize it as much as you like.
I just can’t replicate this with the armor. The mistake to make the armor two-toned with the glow reliant the second tone is … baffling to me, disregarding any lack of detail. It removes any ability to really mix your armor dyes, and stifles what I believe to be the most important part of the sylvari glowing, some sort of hidden inner nature to each sylvari that shines through under the light of the moon. Very Arthurian if I recall. (Plus the legguards and gloves offer two dye slots that… don’t really do anything.)
I just don’t understand why the glow wasn’t put on it’s own layer. As it is half of the colors glow a bright white, a different hue, or just kind of … oddly. The whole experience is just completely unsatisfactory when I could have purchased something else with my money (like full exotics with traveler/celestial runes). After reviewing the forum input and and my own experience, as much as I appreciate adding something to the sylvari that’s important to their aesthetic, this change seems poorly executed and shallow.
