Should’ve seen that pug arah run Joey the Creator and i did months ago, 3 guards in super tank builds, healing stacks, staves everything! we kept pulling all the mobs at every skip and they just wouldn’t die it was insane, so after a while i asked the guys: do you ever use walls? So a minute later i see 2 walls of reflection next to each other reflecting all the drakes we had magically pulled, it was so epic sadly i failed to screen it…worst part is they were not trolling, they were dead serious, the dungeon ended in a pretty weird backstabbing/mutiny kind of manner actually come to think of it the run never ended… For them, they wanted to kick Joey so we kicked them xD.

I also gotta admit we were never in it to complete it, we were just trolling and goofing around doing stupid kitten.

i was merged a couple times, never kicked, usually gave away to friends – but over the LFG people were always grateful. but still a surprisingly low amount of being merged. used to solo minimum 2 arah paths a day and was only merged like … 3 times ~ then again i always tried to be aware of what was going on in the LFG tool and just waited if people reported to me that mergers were active, so i guess that helped.

i have actually never been insulted for path selling, granted i currently don’t play.

A year and a halfish ago i was pugging arah on my ele, at lupicus the group wiped, so ofc i proceed to solo lupicus, these kids in the chat start arguing about how good i was and comparing me to wooden potatoes, nah said the other, woodenpotatoes is only good in lore he said, so after i killed lupicus i read the chat and asked who the fuq is wooden potatoes? I think i still got the screenshot somewhere it was pretty pathetic.

I’d love this. Jagex added timers to the stats screens at the end of a dungeon on Runescape and it made it very nice for the group of players that went for records/did trial runs to get into speedclearing groups and the casual crowd could/would ignore them if they chose to.

I’d be happy and more motivated to do full path solos again if this were implemented… however I won’t hold my breath.

When it comes to soloing on Ele, the most important thing is to be willing to think critically and try out different things. There is nothing wrong with failing at any point, as long as you learn why you failed, and what you can do to prevent it from happening again. Learn all your traits, and all of your utilities, think of situations where they could be useful, then when you get into certain situations see whether the trait/utilities usefulness matches what is required for the encounter.

One more thing to note is that the builds that Miku and Neko have given are extremely glassy focused more on soloing dungeons quickly, rather than for your first time trying them solo. Don’t be afraid to invest a bit more in defensive traits if you are struggling with them. For example if you are having trouble with condis such as poison in TA, then invest 4 in water for cleansing wave, hurts your dps a bit but generally makes things a lot easier.

Fuq dat, go man mode, or don’t go.
Trust me there is nothing glorious about a 20 minute lupi solo, unless you think having your brain cells commit suicide one by one is an achievement!

S/D and S/F in combination with the lightning hammer conjure are the most potent mightstacking weapon sets.
In my opinion S/F is better for in combat might stacking because the longer duration of your fire field (flamewall) enables you to stack more might with your lightning hammer chain + obsidian flesh ensures you won’t have to interrupt your rotation to dodge an attack. The advantage of S/D in combat is higher damage, which also results in you being less useless if you happen to lose your LH. For pre combat might stacking S/D is a lot easier to use since it’s quite hard to land dragon’s tooth and comet on top of your flamewall without a target. The common combo is: dragon’s tooth->ring of fire->phoenix->earth attune->arcane brilliance->arcane wave (during arcane brilliance channel)->earthquake->churning earth-> during churning earth channel change to offhand focus and cast magnetic wave

If you want to tryhard prestack here are some more combos:

24 might: start S/F->dragon’s tooth->flamewall->phoenix->earth attune->arcane brilliance->arcane wave (during arcane brilliance channel)->magnetic wave->change to dagger offhand->earthquake->churning earth->water attune->change to dagger mainhand (during channel)->frozen burst

25 for the lolz: start S/D->dragon’s tooth->ring of fire->phoenix->earth attune->arcane brilliance->arcane wave (during channel)->earthquake->churning earth->switch to offhand focus (during channel)->magnetic wave (during channel)->water attune->switch to dagger mainhand->conjure flame axe->ring of fire->explosive lava axe->drop flame axe->frozen burst

The staff is another option since it’s the highest dps weapon in the game, however you cannot stack as much might compared to the other weapon sets. That’s why in group play you shouldn’t use it unless you want to be lazy or when you aready have another ele in the party. DEKeyz vid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_H0HI_OdQtQ

staff prestack combo where you end in fire attunement so you can cast lava font and meteor immediately: start with staff->eruption->fire attune->lava font->arcane brilliance->arcane wave->switch to S/D->dragon’s tooth->ring of fire->phoenix-> switch to staff. Normally there should be no occasions where you use this in group play but it has it uses if you’re looking into soloing some dungeons.

Don’t use D/D in dungeons because it’s inferior to the aforementioned weapon sets in every way. Unless you ‘want to play it because it’s fun’ or roleplay.

Seems about right, can’t currently go in-depth with it anyway as i am on vacation mode.
Offhand dagger can be used, as long as you make sure you to swap out of it before locking in combat. (1)Staff one can be carried by a different weapon set and compensated by end stacks to stay capped it’s a bit trivial and show-boaty though…

Well it’s hard to say! On the one hand their rhetoric is irresistible, on the other hand …

I really can’t stand the Ice Bow 4 meta!

- Its unintended DPS trivialises content
- It gives you health and you can cast it at range so there is no risk involved
- Its animation and design completely break the immersion
- It has a very short cooldown, which is unfair
- Classes other than elementalists can not access it more than the good-old FGS
- An elementalist wielding IB4 is still better than IB4 casted by a warrior
- It generates vulnerability faster than engineers
- I was always a fan of Gimli, now we’re stuck playing Legolas
- “44444444444444444444 for the win”

Obviously Anet needs to adress this burning issue before adding content to the game!
Obviously a nerf of IB4 would attract new players and bring back those who are long gone!
