I would just like to bring our attention to this skill originally in our downed state and ask that maybe we could have it as a regular utility skill. What I feel we lack is a good utility for dishing out AoE poison. Sure we have corrosive poison cloud and Chilblains, but CPC isn’t the greatest thing and chilblains requires activation (which downed people cannot do) and it would be best to have something that can pulse if bombing. My main reason for bringing this up is that I feel it would be a better skill to be using in WvW than Well of Suffering or something else. If it is too OP, then we could nerf down the dmg or something. It may be a stupid topic to bring up, but its been on my mind for a while.

I think you may have been mistaken about weapons. Dagger gives some amazing damage, but I wouldn’t call it a bursting weapon. I’m a power necro and I actually use axe/wh. My burst comes from axe 2, which does 5-7k regularly and up to around 10k if he is below 50% health. My other burst is life blast with 5k+ each and then life transfer getting up to 6k.

I have one demand for when they make pistol off-hand available: it must have a skill that “shoots” jagged horrors. I don’t particularly care how it works, or why, or anything besides the fact that I need to be able to shoot jagged horrors at my enemies.

So you want to make enemies feel your slimy floppy head(s), make them choke on it (facehugger) and then it flopping out worthlessly on the floor bleeding from shame and glass wounds… wow the implications…

I actually like that. Like you shoot it at them and straps on their head and life syphon and then after like 2-4 seconds explode and give poison or something.

This remark is simply laughable.

Over 9000% agree with spectral wall. It is the dumbest thing to make them fear away from you, not the wall. I mean, yeah in some situations I’d rather it make them go away from me but most of the time I find that super annoying.

The other night my guild and several others were going around and came across a blob taking an enemy tower and went in and wiped them and then we turn towards the gate and we see a lone ranger on the gate still ramming away. We let the guy continue ramming and /cheered him on and after the gate opened we killed him and capped the tower. Don’t know why he kept going lol

Although I haven’t played a warrior (so if I am wrong point it out), I would say Necros are a lot more engaging. I am told a lot that Warriors are kind of mindless in a sense where you are just spamming 1 (again may be wrong), but Necros really have to pay attention. I play a glass Necro and if I waste one dodge or CD I am basically dead unless I pull a clutch rally from my awesome tagging abilities lol Also it seems (at least from my guild) that the warriors need to mainly focus around hammer so there isn’t many different kind of builds, but you can do many different things as a necro: bunker, bunker-condi, glass, a lot of things because tbh people really only want you for your wells and maybe plague or epidemic and sometimes single target focusing (them 7-9k axe 2s and 5-7k DS 1). All in all, it just depends on your play style: If you like being on the front lines facerolling, go Warrior. If you like being able to be versatile go Necro.

Although I agree that there needs to be fixes/changes to our traits, I don’t believe traits need to belong in a certain trees, nor do traits need to belong to a certain build (like what you said with dhuumfire, though I still don’t like the trait). That just prevents all efforts to having more variety in builds, which I am tired of seeing all the same builds around.

I also agree with Bhawb that the hammer should do something with the horrors, but I don’t know about using it for damage. My view of the necro is all about gaining by sacrifice, so you could somehow instead change 5 (since you said you weren’t particularly proud of it) to continue to be a big hitter but somehow sacrificing all your horrors for either LF or health and possibly have a trait where nearby allies gain some health similar to transfusion in a way. This gives an option for true front lining necros in wvw and an incredible LF power weapon option. I feel as though you should get a de-buff along with this skill, like poison or something (again gaining by sacrificing). I do have a question about the horrors in the first skill, is there going to be a cap? cause tbh if this happened, I could see myself running around with 15+ horrors in wvw and as much as I would love that, it isn’t practical lol

imo I think frostfang is way better, I might have a different opinion if incinerator was shot like a dart or a bolt but whateves

(From a pvp/wvw standpoint) I always have to have well of corruption on me, its a staple in any of my builds really. Well of darkness is good and all if you want to stall but really once the well hits them once they will be out of it and you will only make them miss one attack but if you time a well of corruption just right against like a guardian or something, that one hit turns a bunch of boons into condis, it also does some dmg( not great but you can’t complain). I usually choose well of power over spectral armor when it comes to stun breaks because its a great oh kitten moment when you are getting condi bombed and there is a 1 sec stability. I wouldn’t really consider suffering because you aren’t a really big damage (glass cannon) build so it’d be kind of a waste.

Just like how I deal with spirit rangers: Well bomb with corrupt and suffering and then DS 5 then 4 and they are usually dead and finally just life blast and axe 2 the dude to death. (powermancer)

TBH, I really like this trait, sure it doesn’t do anything at all, but I like to see it as a necro mascot if you will and I find it kinda cute. So if they could just make a passive one (like a collectable) that’d be awesome

First of all, prease stahp using Signet of Locust at all times. Its one thing to use it to get across a map or whatever, but 25% move speed is not worth taking up a utility slot. If you really want 25% get travelers. Also if you get 1 shotted through a full DS, not even full, you are doing something wrong. I am basically a pure glass cannon necro and I almost never get downed in big scale wvw, small scale, and I hold my own against all classes while roaming (save a few cause of reasons, like suck-a-tude :P). The toughness and -condi duration makes sense and all but there are better options (like using bowl of poultry and lemongrass soup and some other runes) and aegis is just not worth taking up those spaces which could be taken by something better. You could definitely get this to work and all but there are just a lot better options available.

The vast majority of “lazy players” and “runners” you are calling out here are the fair weathers that have come for the karma train and dragonite. As I have said earlier in the thread, there are some of us here that are not happy about the numbers we have at the moment. There are many people on SBI that enjoy fights, not running over others in some huge blob. But you also need to be honest with yourself, if you guys had these numbers you’d be doing the same thing.

Seems to me like no one on SBI wants a fair fight. Usually 5 mans or zergs that like to run over a few people. Not to mention how it strokes their kitteneen by the emotes.

I was out with my guild last night on IoJ Bl, we had about 10 and 2-3 pugs that joined us. Can’t say how many times we got run over by either IoJ(running about 20+) or YB(running 30-40). I have my emotes turned off, so no idea if I was teabagged or not as it really doesn’t matter that much to me.

The one time I turned my emotes on this week, All that happened was YB spamming /laugh and /sit.

Mhmm is the nature of the beast I suppose. Just shows you the maturity level of those that do it.

I really like how its SBI talking about maturity with emotes. Just last night I was with 10 of my guildies on EBG and we get steamrolled by 40 of you guys and you all /laugh like you guys just did the most awesomest thing in the world. But whatever floats your boat. Hats off to you guys, you are so pro.

So how does this compare to Sheobix’s juggermancer build? Like whats better and whats weaker? Also have you tried it in WvW by any chance?

I’m a WvW oriented guy but I can swing for some Dungeons ;D haven’t done them all though.
