The devs are not going to add in a structure decay mechanic… Objectives, themselves, are easy enough to take already, and choking supplies is already a thing if you weren’t aware…

Oh i am going to have fun with you i can tell, The mechanic exists until the tower already has supply then it is upgraded and done. No way to bring it down other then traditional siege. So no it does not already exist.

this doesnt actually improve anti blob gameplay all it does is empower roamer gameplay. the thing is im facing yaksbend atm and honestly i needed bloodlust to fight against them we cant hold blood lust for more than 5 minutes because they have a near infinite supply of people to send out on roaming orders. honestly a decent commander has command over their roamers too. i consistently organize roamers to go flip camps or tap garri to force enemy commanders to move.
it isn’t meant to be " Anti-blob". I said it promotes thoughtful tactics for both small and large group engagements.
As someone who claims to use roamers and has control over them I would assume you would like a mechanic that makes them more useful then just a scout.
Definitely, I just hope a Dev reads this because it will be a way to play the game mode without having to ram your head against a zerg.
The good thing about this is it would force groups into a number of smaller objectives and promote fights there, as camps have a direct affect on structures they feed but now also be able to starve them.
The problem is, why would any force need to take on a fully upgraded structure ever again? other than if they know they can get an easy cap. Also the home side defending force is always at a disadvantage because they are fighting off two sides, numbers wise they already at a disadvantage in their home areas.
Then the real problem pops up when you take a closer look of it’s effects on EBG. Every side in EBG has 2 camps, but what happens when green and blue decided to camp each of red’s camps? Red which now has to deal with 2 zergs blocking their supply, and also worry about structures downgrading.
As for this being a common tactic before, yes havoc teams use to take camps and starve supply to keeps, punch holes in the keep so the defenders would have to repair. build more siege, and drain their supply. Only thing is, that was before auto upgrades were in place, upgrades go through no matter what, all dolys do is speed up the timer when one gets in. Another reason why havoc guilds died off.
This tactic might be useful the 211 era but that’s being changed, since it’s suppose to promote going after the winning side, but yeah 543 is coming so double teaming on the weakest team will the easy route to victory again.
Double teaming is a mechanic people have used in PvP (not just Gw2) and is a tactic that is nearly impossible to stop. If you are going to get double teamed it will happen. Not much you can patch about that.
As for the issue with just zergs holding the camps…. that will make your zerg have a point other then just k training. It will promote the idea that zergs are an actual army that are used when they are needed.
Its good idea in theory, but tbh its only a workaround for already existing mechanics that doesnt work so well for small forces trying to starve out heavily defended objectives – long range siege is way too expensive, weak and easily countersieged from impossible to hit locations.
This change is suppose to promote the idea of taking objectives without having to fire a shot (Figuratively) Siege is not the main focus as siege will not help you when your camp is being held by a force aimed at weakening you before the main assault.
Make denying supply to a tower/keep/etc cause a starve out mechanic.
Keep in mind everything you are about to read is for the sole purpose of promoting smart gameplay. I have no hatred for anyones game mode or play style.
Example….. Holding all camps that feed supply to a garrison for X period of time would cause the garrison to lose a tier.
This promotes Defending – Protecting your camps – Small teams/Roamers will have an actual impact on the map again.
This also prevents servers that experience the “snowball effect” from spiralling out of control as they will need to actually defend their established zones and will need to make an educated decision as to move out and take more or fall back and keep what they have.
For those who want to argue the reason to this mechanic this was a common tactic used when an invading force was not large enough to take a position. So they would simply just deny the zone of all resources eventually wearing it down to nothing.
I feel this will make for educated gameplay instead of mindlessly k training like it is now.
Just a thought. Hope a dev reads this as WvW is in dire need of an actual change to the game mode vs just adding pointless items to the game.

tracert and my ping spikes when it hits level 3 dns and continues to show ping spikes all the way to the servers. Might want to look into it. No other game lags so I know it is GW2. Thanks. <3
So im just gunna assume these much needed changes are just gunna be exclusive to PvP? What about WvW? or are you actually considering that a game mode in PvP now?
Simple question, I like the new outfit however why is Anet taking the outfit approach vs armor kits like they use to.
Maybe I love …. like.. am in love with the GS and Axe/Shield , I want this to be a thing. I just hope Anet considers it.
Maybe make it like a toggle or something? IDk but the glowing is a really nice animation.. just not for everyone.
Can we have a variant that doesn’t glow? I got to imagine it couldn’t be that hard to just have a version that doesn’t glow. I love these weapons but the glowing screws with some looks.
I am a very serious veteran of the game. I use to have an Ok time leveling. I come back to it now and what the ever loving crap happened. Anet has locked off everything and made it an actual grind to get the stuff you want to use.
What happened to the freedom of the game when it first came out?

Whatever you want to think is irrelevant. When the lag hits in NA everybody talks about it in the map chat. And I watch my ping never move yet everything becomes unresponsive, then it goes back to normal, then back again and so on and this happens to everybody in the map and only when a zerg fight happens.
So any argument that it is my computer is foolish and I have seen entire map chats talking about it and have experienced myself for around 10k hours total of game time. It is the same result. When the zergs fight (WHich is the point of WvW may I remind you) the game lags and falls apart.

It has been buried in the WvW forums but for a bit a dev was giving live feed about him troublshooting EU servers. He discovered that the CPU was running 99% when zergs collided. He then later went silent and was never seen posting again.
I will keep looking for it assuming ANET didn’t just delete it entirely.
So when are you guys going to update your servers? It is already been revealed by an anet dev that your servers run hotter then normal leading to the lag. Frankly it is impossible to play in N/A at prime time.
And Yes I expect anet to have the proper gear to run the game mode they created.

Just a quick reminder: the PvP team is not responsible for profession balance. The PvP team, along with all of the other major feature teams, provides feedback to the skills team, but the PvP team itself is not directly involved in making balance changes.
What we do have control over – however – is the build panel (sigils, amulets, runes). It’s one of the knobs we can use to push gameplay in whichever direction we feel it needs to go for that particular season. For this release, we wanted to take support down a notch and increase the pace of combat.
It’s not our intent to completely remove professions from the meta – but things do fluctuate and I think we need to give the change a bit more time to see how it plays out. Elemental Bastion being bugged since Tuesday certainly has not helped the Tempest situation, but that should be resolved fairly soon and we’ll be able to properly see how ele will fare.
I know many of you fundamentally disagree with the removal of build items – and that’s fine. I understand where you’re coming from, but I hope you understand why we use this as a tool for balancing PvP specifically.

So what is your reasoning as to why WvW players keep getting screwed over by the PvE buffs you keep giving and forget that WvW is a game mode that should be seperate as well. WvW = PvP balance + PvE power creep. It is a nightmare for anybody who doesn’t have 20+ people in a blob.

It is AFAIK only available in the RAIDS. Which is ridiculous because all of the ascended before HoT were available from Laurels.
Is this stat locked behind the RAID system? Or am I able to get this stats without having to beat my head on the wall of PvE Elitism? I am a hardcore WvW player so I do no prefer to be funneled into doing a game mode I do not like. You have the Laurel system.. why is this not available in the Laurel menu?
It is because it is a technical limitation. They created a game mode but never bothered to make sure they had the hardware/software to handle it. So they throttle it so it doesn’t overload the servers. Otherwise everytime a zerg got hit with a boon ripping well, the servers would explode.
If so they need to hurry up, I love those skins and it is a shame to see them locked off like they have been.
Can we make Mist Forge Weps a WvW reward track item please? They are an amazing skin that basically isn’t able to be gotten anymore since the seasons are gone now. Thank You.

title says it all, why is this not a thing? All we have are the standard dyes which TBH look like crap when compared to the main hair colors. Why not let us use our Dyes we have to use? Or at least give us more options.
Pretty simple, I kill someone when Im downed in a 1v1, and I do not rally. When are we gunna have this fixed?

This is more towards Charr haristyles but Im going to assume all peeps have this issue. Are most of the newer hair styles not effected by light at all? I can be in a pitch dark room and my armor adjusts to it, but my hair is bright as a christmas tree.
I play almost only WvW and Lately I have been having issues with executing people. It isn’t d syncing AFAIK. It will just not kill them. I have to DPS them down and when you are outnumbered that can be a death sentence.
Is anybody else having this issue?
This has nothing to do with my ISP. Level 3 is the default DNS for GW2 AFAIK.
Once again Level 3 is dropping packets. Did a tracert of multiple servers and gw2 seems to be the only one using a 56k connection atm. Again it is level3.

Can we please have Ascalon weapons from the dungeon in a version without the glowing? They are an amazing weapon skin but the glowing throws them off for some outfits.

Gertting some pretty bad lag today (more then usual because I WvW), and i trace rt , goes through my ISP fine and hits LEvel 3 DNS and just falls a part with packet drop after packet drop, it then gets to ncsoft servers and is fine.
Amazed im the only one interested in this.
Make mist forged Weapons able to be gotten with WvW badges please, you release an armor for the weapons yet we can’t get the weapons for the armor. I got my weapons already but for the masses it would make sense having that skin still in the game.
Took a break from the kittenty balance in this game, I was told it was patched a bit, this true?
AKA, Safe to be a Warrior again?
So you’d rather give up 30% damage (Zerk power + minor trait) and 100% chance to crit (Arms line)?, No thanks ill stick with my 21k unblockable instant adrenaline gain Killshots., Now if you are talking solo roaming? Yeah I could see this working sometimes. But in a group? No not even close, the damage is easily mitigated by any good players.

Lets just hope they make doors repairable because it is sort of annoying to have to bust your kitten to make a come back.
Make doors repairable so people have to make a choice on whether to spend it on door breakers or repairs.
Make the lord have more hp so people can respond to the lord dying better.
ATM these suggestions are to improve the Stronghold game mode because atm people just spam archers and door breakers but forget to protect at times (Repair function will help that).
And it requires little to no skill to bring down the lord solo, you need to make that a real fight. Like the last line of defense. Who wants a lord that dies to one thief or one PU mesmer.
That is all.
These changes IMO will promote tactical thinking which is sourly missing in PvP atm.

Most of the traits aren’t actually activating such as Fast Hands for Warrior. I had a 9s cd on wep swap but i should have 5s. Many others are not working as intended. Look into this Anet plz.
They deserve every bit coming to them….
It’s been building for a long time.The only thing Anet deserves is a little patience, and reasonable discussion. In turn we deserve to have our concerns heard and not swept under the victimhood rug.
Why? They treated their players like idiots and even banned players for voicing an opinion, deleted posts and censored players whenever they spoke bad about Anet. This time they just couldn’t suppress it all so they got overwhelmed.
I feel bad for the at how the community reacted to this, however they deserve this wake up call badly. Anet thought they could do no wrong considering most of the forums are all white knights and brown nosers all trying to be Anets bae. They needed to be reminded they have a very large community and most of them are loooooong time players such as myself. I played the GW1 alpha,beta GW2 alpha. beta and I have never seen such disregard for their community as much as Anet is doing now.
I am speaking for most of the community veterans here when I say nobody is angry at the price for new players. But for veteran players we already own the game and thus are getting almost no content vs a new player and from what we have seen paying full retail price is not worth it considering all we have really seen so far is the free content. The beta wasn’t really a beta at all it was a demo and a stress test that’s all.
TL/DR They got punched in the face and weren’t ready for it. I feel bad for how they feel but I also saw this coming and think they had it coming. When you ignore your main customer base for as long as you have Anet this is what happens.
Welcome back to reality Anet you have more customers then the ones in your forums and Twitch stream lets hope you go back to how you use to be and actually listen to them again.
