All I could see was basically: "People want one of the big “endgame” things in GW2 more casual and flexible."
Sorry, nope.
I hope they don’t implement a system where you only need to get an item once and then you can always change model with it. It works in WoW for example because that’s just a mediocre thing with no real purpose at all. Besides, even their system isn’t all that great.
People have to realize this is a different game with different rules. And difficulty is never a bad thing.
And they have to learn to some extension that IF you decide to change your armor with something expensive, you only change it with something you plan to use for a long time.
That’s called (in some sense) being moderate, and it’s fine.
I guess they could have something like, once you got the set you can buy it ON THAT CHARACTER ONLY for a reduced price or something.
But never, ever remove the price in full.
Luckily enough it ain’t like signing a contract and forcing us to pay monthly ‘least. Money well spent, despite it’s flaws.
But yeah, I’m going to hold off with my judgments until I’ve seen them try to expand it ’nyways.
You can get the hammer, or any conjured elemental weapon.
You can also get any spirit weapon from the Guardian weapons.
Hope you mean ingame items with the models, or you slightly missed the point.
To be more precise.
I don’t know if all capitals have one, but at least the human one, Divinity’s Reach, has an asura gate that goes directly to Ebonhawke Stronghold in the Rurikton area part of town. (http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/File:Divinity%27s_Reach_map.jpg)
Once you get there, search on the map for three weapon merchants standing next to eachother. (Marked with a sword icon on map).
Oh, the visual. I thought he was talking about the weapon in general, nevermind then.
And achievements was meant to be for a single character. Otherwise they lose their point. Your character achieved this, not your other characters.
Personally, at least I don’t see anything wrong in having to farm THE VERY LAST AND STRONGEST ITEM IN THE GAME more than once.
Some gladiator armor by chance? Or unobtainable is my guess.
To be simple.
When transmuting, when you chose the model it decides what armor type and model the item will be.
When you transmute the stats, the stats will chose what rarity and stats the item will have.
So no, you can’t do it. Though you already know now. But this was just a quick FYI.
I just typed up a lengthy reply in another other magic find thread… hit Post Reply, and the thread was magically gone. Not moved, not closed, but completely deleted. What’s up with that?
Anyways, random is random, I can’t even count how many times I’ve rolled four or five 1s in a row in other games. There’s a reason they call it a crap shoot. I don’t see the point in Magic Find, since a person completely decked out in MF gear can still have bad luck and not pull anything, while a person with no MF on can pull rares all day long.
Because it is a gamble. Sure one with maybe doesn’t get and one without does. It’s not supposed to eliminate the difference. It only slightly increases the chances YOU are the one getting stuff. It’s merely a help on the way.
My friend is stacking MF and he is getting rare items considerably a lot more than me however.
It would be too OP.
No, it exists. Though, don’t think the hammer exists.
Alternatively, you could find that karma vendor who sells fireworks, and acquire a heinous amount of fireworks.
That would be awesome.
We need a fireworkapocalypse.
Yupp, definitely Ebonhawke’s cultural weapon.
You’ll find that there exists a lot of sets in this game that is purely aesthetic and / or has an achievement, meaning people buy them because they look cool, and to be completionists.
Personally I’d say it’s worth the money if you can afford it and already got what you want elsewhere, who does not want to have the gear of the freaking Destiny’s Edge? My norn ranger just begs for Eir Stegalkin’s set…
The reason why many got them over time Mercury was because people doesn’t see the concept. In order to increase the life span of a game is to make it something that takes time but is done in steps.
You get karma almost always if you’re farming, so naturally you’ll get it sooner or later if you don’t go wasting it all. But yes, TheUnNamedHero is on to something.
I’ll have a look into it, My charr is still a noob so not ready for dungeons yet I was curious if the exact hat was still in the game
The dungeon hats are pirate hats, considerably larger and has feathers. So it doesn’t really look the same.
I just strafe with the mouse, personally I find it a lot more flexible.
Only times I use my mouse is if I really don’t want to use tab to swap targets and for strafing / quick turns and dodging
My keybinds are pretty much
W,A,S,D for the simple moving.
Mouse button for dodging.
1-5 stays for skills.
Shift + 1-5 for secondaries such as attunement changing, pet abilities etc.
Q for Healing slot
Shift + Q for first utility slot
E for second utility slot
Shift + E for third utility slot.
Another mouse button for Elite skill.
Rest I left untouched.
I utilize shift more than I utilize keys. Saves room and allows me to do more abilities in quick succession without having them cluttered on different keys everywhere.
“Again like being said, any option will do, When saying they are spamming they might only look at the players chat, but for example picking scamming or botting means they will look at the players behaviour.”
While it is true, there is a reason why they have multiple options, it is to specifically point out what they are doing so it is easier to know what kind of behaviour they are looking for.
For example, you find a bot. You report him for spamming. There’d be no real way for them to know if it’s a bot farming or the player himself farming, because they will be looking for another thing and doesn’t realize it’d be a bot.
Though, in this case it’d probably work.
I wonder if it would be easy to increase points, considering Guild Wars 1 is mostly made out of bots now. :p
People still need to give the game some breathing room. It has only been out for about 2½ months. And most of that time has been focused on fixing broken stuff rather than improving.
The only issue I find with endgame is that I wish it was a ladder in gear to some extent. i.e. You get this gear, then there is better gear from harder dungeons that relies on both skills and gear.
Raids won’t work in this game. I highly doubt it. They could add it, sure, but it wouldn’t be a piece of cake to balance at all.
The funny thing I find is that people is bashing it’s endgame without giving it any room to expand first. They try new ideas, of course there is chances it won’t be right the first couple of times.
Though, credit where credit is due, the game itself was worth the price. It just needs some ironing out.
I searched around and apparently it seems like at the current time, the model does not exist in PvE.
So if I use sigil that gives +5% dmg on my off-hand, does it increase the dmg only of skills 4-5? Doesnt make sense to me
Pretty much. Think about it.
Your weapon skills are separated in a way that your main hand weapon decides the first three skills, and your off-hand weapon decides the two last skills.
If you applied +5% damage to your main-hand, it is logical that the increase would be only for the first three, the last two isn’t tied to your main-hand weapon in any way and vice versa.
Normally when you look at it you would think it’s a damage increase that ties for the character, but it is a fully possible that it is tied to the weapon and it’s skills instead.
Personally I haven’t checked nor remember what it looks like really. But have you checked if it by chance is a human-racial set? The ones you can get from your capital.
Kita.7819First of all, the thrice-greatest is spelled Treikittenistus, with a u.
second, UNDERWATER COMBAT SUCKS
Depends on the class really, I had some issues underwater with my warrior, mostly because of how squishy it was. But I love rangers underwater, everything is ezpez.
@EdwinLi, it does not sound like a toughness problem.
Even without toughness it ain’t normal for a mob at 70-75 to almost instantly kill a level 80, especially if he was in half exotics.
Also your reply treats the issue, but doesn’t solve the symptom. About that infinite chain thing, it may have been that you were nearby a corrupted statue by chance?
You know… Those statues that are corrupted and does an effect in a specific area till it is cleansed, like fireballs from the sky, non-duration poisoning debuff etc.
