Are people having a laugh? That was as easy instance as they come!
The first impression I have is very negative. If mounts will stay in that condition I will create a ticket to refund my purchase because I dont want to play the addon anymore then.
The movement in gw2 always been precise like a razor blade and now you come and release a movement mechanic that is slow and lethargic like driving a truck pulling 40 tons of weight.
I hate it. I simply hate it. Not to mention deserts are the least location I wanted to have for a setting.Go play WoW if you want razorblade movement. GW doesn’t have razorblade movement, mounts or no mounts. This is what makes movement in this game feel organic and realistic.
Mount movement is perfect and it feels like 700kg raptor moving should feel like.And I hope you do realise that wanting a refund because of this thing makes you one of those customers people from retail always talk about on the internet and make fun of.
Agree, Raptor movement is perfect, has weight like it’s supposed to, if they simplify it’s movement because of qq, I will hardly use it again.
And also the less Waypoints the better, Maps feel mora alive and promotes exploration.
GW2 players got too lazy with all the WP’s.
Agreed, this would be very very useful. One more vote for this option.

Revenant already has the least build diversity out of all professions, the build diversity problem goes much deeper than 5 new skills but this would be a nice move in the right direction.
played a few matches on rev, it feels like half the map is port bugged, like 50% of the time i do sword 3, i stay in place, not following the target and phase traversal also sometimes didnt port anywhere
didnt try it on thief yet , maybe later but if the thief ports are as kitteny as the rev ones anet needs to fix that yesterday…
It’s not the map, Rev is pretty bugged atm.

Yeah, I misread about the Berserker, but Berserker is one of the really rare cases out of all the classes. I just don’t agree that it’s that much of a difference with Herald.
I also do not need Berserker to do well on my Revenant, so you see, it is all subjective. I play more build on Revenant than Elementalist for example.
There is no build diversity for Revenant in PvP.
You can easily say this about almost every other class in PvP.
There is no build diversity for Revenant in PvP. Retribution, Invocation and Herald are must haves for pvp.
What? No it’s not a must, I always run Devastation with changing between both Retribution and Invocation, depending if I want more offensive or defensive oriented build. You could say Herald is a must but that goes with every Elite for every class after HoT.
Revenant still needs alot of work and bug fixes and some legends need to be worked at, but build diversity is nothing different than other classes.
Trivializations of JP’s can easily be solved by putting some sort of debuff in those areas so you can’t glide there, “strong winds” debuff or whatever.
Necro could use some more party utilities, maybe include some quickness in there among other things.
Things to keep in mind though is dagger is still higher DPS than greatsword auto attack. Dagger + Locust does about the same damage as grave digger. So really Reaper isn’t going to be pulling away from base Necro all that well just from doing very quick math.
Perhaps others who are more vested could provide better numbers.
Not sure, but I think Reaper Shroud AA is bigger DPS than Dagger, everyone is mentioning Greatsword, RS AA has much better DPS than GS.
Thank god for that nerf, It should have came long time ago.
Not a bad idea tbh, Mallyx do need some CC and fear seems to be fitting condition legend.
Agreed, please put at least fear, some form of CC, it’s pretty underwhelming for PvP right now, I know I wont be using the Mallyx form anytime soon if it stays like this.
it’s the only skill really dangerous on a sword/x revenant.
This is the problem, if they nerf the skill into the ground, Sword becomes pretty much useless.
What if the “wind up” move could dodged at least. It would give one simple way to avoid the skill.
I thought it already works like this?! I had the skill fail so many times, though it was because of the dodge.
All in all, it is far from “massively OP”, just give it time for people to learn playing against it a little bit and then come back to it.
I would rather have 1 detailed and complex raid at start, than 3 mediocre ones, quality over quantity.
And 10 man is perfect.

Both wings have the same animation, only difference is the color.

I think we’ve been through this for the past 2.5 years, but you guys don’t seem to understand why nobody stacks healing power in PvE and even with those traits they still won’t.
A damage output loss of that magnitude only increases fight duration that much more, which means more damage output from the boss that far exceeds what little benefit you gained in healing power by sacrificing DPS.
I mean, have you learned nothing from guardian staff and mesmer staff in PvE? Nobody uses them for a reason.
Pve isn’t the only game type. new class needs to be fully balanced within all three formats. Your examples need some work as well. Plenty of players use guardian staff in pve and while it’s true that few use Mesmer staff for anything, that’s because it’s bad for everything, not because it’s full support.
Ok, let me correct. No good guardian that isn’t asking to be kicked from a speed run uses staff in PvE because an elementalist or warrior can already might stack for the group without messing up their damage output. Bad guardians use staff in PvE.
And if your idea for balancing across game formats is making a bunch of weapons which are useless in one of the formats, the design needs reconsideration.
Both Mesmer and Guardian Staff weapons are brilliant in sPvP, WvW etc, so please don’t use corner stacking excuse of a dungeons as an example how weapon is useful.
And like someone already said, they are revamping the PvE, so your corner stacking max dps spamming might not be so viable in upcoming content.
Its funny… B.c I cant remember that last Time we actually needed Corner stacking lol. most “speed” groups no days dont even use corners, it takes to long for the mobs to run to them, its faster to run out in the open and just AoE mob them down, if need to, a Guard or Mesmer will pull them together.
Call it whatever you want, the “stack, dps burst spam” point is the same.
Yeah, because killing weakling NPC camps or dolyaks, or standing around beating at some inanimate door or wall or zerging spamming 1/AOE for bags around is so much more skillful or thoughtful game format.

I only pvp in WvW, not killing doors, zerg or whatever you do.
It’s really sad that ppl still think that Guardian Staff is only useful as loot stick, I thought we were past that narrow thinking, but I guess not.

^Never mind, my bad, I confused Shroud’s number 2 skill with GS 2, which looks like it roots.

scythe is 300 range so it’s only normal that it’s bigger than a 180 range weapon lol.
It would be great if it had 300 range, but tooltip says 170 range on first two attacks of the chain and 220 on the third…

Lets step back for a second and look at a class with an even higher skill ceiling, the Mesmer.
I am sorry, but this is not even remotely true, and I mained a Mesmer for a long time, you have much less room for an error on Thief than on Mesmer.
Maybe not drop anything valuable as that, but I agree that there should be something more to lose other than time to go fix your armor.
If guardians are so bad, why are they so prevalent as frontliners in serious WvW guilds?

Twilight looks indeed Mesmery to me, imo it really looks better on Mesmer than Warrior for example, but that’s just me.
I have Twilight and Bolt on my Mesmer, maybe you should make Bolt, it is the most used weapon on Mesmer.
Don’t agree at all, it is indeed alt friendly, I have 7 fully geared ascended trinket Toons and 212 Laurels to spare.
Come back when you have them geared in full ascended armor + weapons and infusions.

Full ascended armor for every alt? Lol, it is supposed to be THE endgame “hard to get” armor, it would be pretty lame if you could cloth every alt just like that. I would like it to be even harder to make it.
