Looking for someone to buy my guild

Hi All,

I no longer have a need for a pre-HoT storage guild that I bought. I’m looking for a buyer. It’s a 50 slot bank, and is able to be upgraded as you may/may not see fit.

I’ve also noticed Megadestroyer changed a bit. He now moves around more as does Maw. It’s actually more fun with the added difficulty. Players actually need to move around and dodge instead of spamming 1 till the boss dies.

Hello,

I saw your post but was wondering about a few things. Are you US or EU? What times are your members the most active etc? Thanks.

We had two parties. Mesmer went in first and created a portal that those of us outside used to get in together.

We completed ours with 9 players. The mobs scale with the amount of people, so 10 caused more spawns, 9 was a better number.

Not to point fingers, but if I have to I will, I have noticed (as have many others I’ve spoken too) a noticable increase in snarky, elitist, negative Map chat from what appears to be F2P and new players. Many of these players have generally worn their experience in their previous game (the big MMO that us GW2 players ran screaming from) on their sleeve like we should bow down and be impressed. If you need to keep an eye on the community, it is these new people that have come into the game with the expectation that a game without a holy trinity stinks, and without 10 levels of gear to grind for it must be a waste of their time.

Sorry for the mini rant, but the reason I’ve stayed with this game since launch is the community. PLEASE keep an eye on the droves of refugees from that other game that are bringing their negative baggage with them. Thanks!!

Dear OP,

I’m sure you didn’t intend on starting a riot with your post, but there are some things in GW2 that are sore subjects. You pretty much touched on the main ones

While I understand your intent, the GW2 community is one of the things that is great about this game. We don’t need gear checks, or damage meters to give us bragging rights. That kind of behavior is what chased allot of us away from WoW. Add ons just aren’t necessary if you play the game for fun. We all like to be successful, but the add ons I think are being alluded to are misused by some people, and not for the greater good.

Mounts you say? Meh. Personally I could care less. I do understand the allure of them, but in most games I’ve played that offers them, they just collected dust in my bank. The waypoint system is overly sufficient in GW2 for me. There are plenty of chances to see the scenery if you farm mats in the different areas.

Not terrible ideas you have, just not the best for this game. Cheers!

Guilds who run 100% rep

I was in one of those "älly"guilds and repped only every so often to help with their missions, or if someone needed a player for a dungeon etc….Well, I ended up getting kicked because I didn’t rep enough…LOL. So, while I understand newer guilds wanting 100% for the influence building, I also don’t like to be micro-managed and required to play the game by someone else’s idea of the rules. Guess it’s a matter of finding a guild with the right mix of casual rules, and community.

Why you play PVE?

Not to really add anything from what anyone else has said, but PVE is just another phase of the game. I enjoy all of the phases depending on my mood. PVE, PvP, WvW. There doesn’t always need to be a “point” or an end game. It’s just a way to pass the time. It’s really not fair to bash one form of play over another. It really is personal preference. Cheers!

About 2 hours ago I was playing and got booted for the update. I haven’t been able to log in since. I don’t even get the "login"screen when I try to open the game. Have the servers crashed or something?

Vet Player/Blackgate/Seeking Casual Guild

Hey All,

I’m going to be brief-ish. I’ve been playing since launch and have been in a couple of very large guilds (400+). I’m now looking for a smaller guild, that actually likes to do things as a guild and group together for these things. Whether it’s World Boss Trains, Cursed Shore stuff, Living Story, really anything the game offers.

My experience in larger guilds is that there’s no sense of “guild pride”. It seems like a bunch of random people thrown together that are just soloing the game anyway. Pugging, not participating in guild chat, etc…. Really not understanding the purpose of what a true guild should be.

I seek a guild that is comprised of casuals/hardcores/ etc.. that really want to play the game with their guildmates. My home server is Blackgate (doesn’t really matter unless WvW is your thing), and i"m not interested in transferring (did that once already). So if your guild is a tight crew, and has room for a new member, let me know. I’m on Eastern time, and I usually play after 4pm if you need to catch me in game. Thanks!

Trading post needs a major change

The point is not buying items…it’s selling them. To the reply mentioning selling items for less than vendor, you CAN list an item at vendor or say 1 copper over, BUT, your take away is actually LESS than vendor after the fees. I understand filtering items for the other reply, but when you are selling an item, there is no need to filter.

The TP is filled with items that are crafted and found on mobs. When you can sell crafting mats for more money than the finished item, there is a problem. What is wrong with returning items to people if they haven’t sold in a few days? Either the price of the item was not market ready, or the item isn’t in demand. By returning unsold items after a few days, the market will adjust quicker, and stay relevent.

Dear Developers,

Please, for the love of god, implement a new posting policy to the Trading Post! There needs to be a time limit set on items posted in order to keep the economy fresh and viable. Please implement a 3 to 5 day expiration on all items posted. If the item hasn’t sold by then, it is returned to the owner, less a posting fee.

The TP is absolutely cluttered with items in the thousands that are listed at or below vendor value. Especially crafted items that are being sold for less than the value of the mats. I believe most of this to be leftover from players at launch, as well as players no longer playing. Perhaps some “math deficient”players that don’t understand the fees associated with listing and selling items.

The bottom line is, the TP is horribly skewed with blue and crafted items. I think a "flush"of the postings, and an implementation of a time limit with keep the economy flowing and keep the active players engaged in the various markets.

Thanks for reading!!

I’m not sure if this has been suggested, but the Trading Post has become a dumping ground for all sorts of items. Thousands of items selling for below vendor prices. Obviously posted by people not paying attention, or just leftovers from launch. Either way, my thought is to put a time limit on each listing as other MMO’s do. Perhaps a 3 or 5 day limit and then the item is returned to the person that posted it if it hasn’t sold.

I think that will get the economy back on an even keel rather than allow folks to absolutely flood the TP with useless items by the hundreds. I’ve seen stacks of thousands of low level armor and weapons. Please clear this stuff out to keep the market moving!

Looking For East Coast-ish Guild

Hello All,

I’ve been playing on the Sea of Sorrows server which has apparently turned into the default Oceanic server. As a result, many of the players in my guild and in the world are from time zones 12-14 hours behind me. That isn’t the best situation for me to be an active participant in guild events.

I’m seeking an active guild on a high population server where most of the players are in Eastern or Central time zones. Any guilds out there?

Thanks!!

Hi All,

I’m just starting out in GW2 but am not new to MMO’s. I’m a reformed hardcore gamer just looking to have some fun with other gamers in a casual, supportive environment. Also, I’m on the East Coast.

I’m not interested in drama, bad manners, insults, or pressure. I just want to hang out with mature gamers that know how to play. “Don’t stand in the fire, Don’t charge other guildies for mats and products…etc”

Let me know if your guild has a spot for me, as well as the server you are on. I still didn’t choose a server so I’m available immediately to a guild that matches with my play-style. Thanks!
